First met Dr. Wowk at the hospital where my mother was taken on an emergency basis. He did an excellent job treating my mother and performing the procedure. More importantly he was caring, patient, and very kind to my elderly mother. I had, however, never dealt with his office staff until now. Ive talked to several different people there with questions regarding my mothers rehab stay. They have all answered all my questions, and gotten back to me as promised. They were polite, respectful, and very competent. Have nothing but good things to say about this doctor and his practice.

Absolutely horrific experience with the staff and the doctor as well. Second appointment we had to wait 2 hours, he never showed up so a nurse in his office checked and x-ray-d my sons broken arm. Next appointment when the cast was suppose to be removed, the staff cancelled right at the visit, They never called before. I told them that my sons fingers are hurting badly under the cast and we need to see someone. They rolled their eyes and could not care less about my little son. They said to come back the following week. I called another orthopedic center in Rockville and begged them to see us which they agreed to do right away. The doctor at the new place was shocked after he removed the cast from my sons arm. He said that it was put on incorrectly and caused a knife-cut looking deep injury to my babys hand. The injury caused by Wowks work from putting the cast on looked far worse than the original injury from the broken arm. My poor baby suffered very much, we did not even realize who awful it was under the cast. Be very careful before you choose this office.

Horrible experience with office staff. Do not waste your time if you need an orthopedic doctor. Go to a professional practice. No oversight of office staff, lack of management. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Wowk is very attentive. He is a good listener and checks things out in detail. I like and trust him a lot.

I had a horrible experience with this office. The Dr. was fine. However, the staff is incompetent and careless. The Dr. removed fluid from my knee that was supposed to be sent to the lab. The Dr. told me that I was supposed to take it to the lab for testing. However during check out, the staff didnt know anything about it. They told me they would send it to the lab. A week later, I didnt hear anything from the office. I called to find out about my lab tests. The staff didnt know they were supposed to give me the fluid to drop off to lab. The worse medical staff ever.

The doctors here are excellent, and are very helpful with the information they provide, but expect to wait at least an hour after your scheduled appointment time to be seen. Have been here a few times for the convenient location, but regret it every time during the wait. Hopefully Ill remember before booking next time...
