Dr. Xu saved my life .. literally .. I could barely breath when I first walked into his office .. but I was in denial .. he was so gentle and kind. Explained my treatment plan in detail and guided me thru the scary and intimidating chemotherapy treatments.I have Stage 4 cancer but my quality of life is amazing …I can walk my dog and take care of my kid …I am forever grateful to Dr. Xu for not only extending my life but giving me a fulfilling quality of life ..

James Xu is THE worse dr that I ever encounter with.His medical certification should be taken away from him, he doesn’t care about you but just how to charge your insurance and get money.Horrible person and doctor, I do not recommend him AT ALL

Before he ever even knew me, before I was ever his patient, Dr. Xu visited me every single day while I was admitted at Holy across Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Generally a kind person who, so far, has shown a willingness to collaborate with his patients as opposed to making one-sided decisions regarding a patient’s diagnosis, prescriptions, and care/treatment plan overall. He seems patient and knowledgeable. I am still a relatively new patient but so far I can confidently say that none of my previous specialists have shown the level or availability and attentiveness that I’ve received from Dr. Xu in just two visits.

Dr. Xu, honestly saved my mothers life when she was dealing with stage 4 breast cancer. The only doctor that was willing to take her case and try a mix of methods. She is 100% in remission thanks to Dr.Xu.

He knows what hes doing very knowledgeable will visit everyday while youre in the hospital direct and to the point!

Dr. XU is awesome. For him to be a new doctor, he is very knowledgeable, considerate, passionate, and dedicated to his patients. He very friendly, and answers all your questions, and thorough. It took me 5 years to find a doctor in the DMV area that I trust, and feel comfortable with. I usually just travel to NYC where I am from, to handle appointments and or issues. Finding Dr. Xu was a treasure. However, his front desk staff the receptionist in particular I have an issue with. They are not friendly, and every time I call they NEVER answer, so I end up calling from different numbers then they answer. Its very frustrating, and upsetting. Once he handles that part of his practice I would feel better. I rather not get into the details of my experience with his front desk staff, however its not pleasant.
