Lynda has been so great with my son. He needed 3x a week PT but he quickly got up to speed and very clearly gained strength. She was even flexible to accommodate our schedules. The gym is amazing — it reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese! So many fun games to get the kids motivated

Great, individualized care for my 5 year old son! The occupational health provider strives to make a personal connection while making it a mission to reach his goals. The care is specialized, particularly catering to his pace and feedback. She goes above and beyond to provide expertise to his multi-disciplinary team so that his progress and results are intertwined into all aspects of his care. The admin team is also incredibly helpful, quick to respond and always willing to accommodate. 5 stars!!

Fitness for Health has been such an amazing experience for my son. He has grown more confident about his physical abilities since coming last summer. He used to be so self conscious about his lack of agility and strength, which affected his self-esteem. Now he is confident and stronger! It is not just a physical workout. They incorporate a cognitive workout. Fantastic trainers here!

Fitness for Health is the best! The staff is kind and knowledgeable, the equipment is state-of-the-art. My son is never bored or frustrated because there is so much to do and his routine is always varied just enough to keep it interesting. He thinks he is playing and having fun and he is, but he is also getting a superior OT workout for his brain and body.

As a pediatrician who sends patients to a variety of ancillary service providers like physical therapists and occupational therapists, Fitness for Health has developed techniques and machinery that are so innovative and engaging that the kids cant help but be interested in doing the work! The thought and energy the staff put into the therapeutic relationship improves outcomes and allows these kids to achieve their fullest potentials. Im proud to refer my patients to Fitness for Health.

My kids, now young adults, gained so much -- in both confidence and physical fitness -- from their years working with the fabulous trainers at Fitness for Health. One adult daughter still works out twice a week on the sophisticated and FUN equipment at F4H. Heres whats wonderful: a huge variety of equipment and exercise-gaming routines, trainers who are focused, positive, and encouraging; and a very organized and efficient office team. F4H staff are compassionate and skilled, serving people with and without special needs, as well as seniors and athletes with different fitness goals. I can highly recommend Fitness for Health!

Our son, who is on the spectrum and has mild ADHD, has motor coordination and other challenges with his gross motor skills, went to Fitness for Healths Therapeutic Exercise program every week for a few years. He made great progress working with a couple of the staff and Marc himself. They worked diligently with our son, who showed a lot of improvement. I could not recommend Fitness for Health, Marc and his staff highly enough.

Marc Sickel and his team of trainers/therapists are without a doubt the ABSOLUTE BEST! My son has been working with FFH for more than 6 years now. As a parent of two kids with special needs, rest assured your child will get a customized plan that caters to his/her individual needs. Most of the plans are designed by Marc himself, a renown expert in this field.

Fitness for Health is an amazing place for kids. It is so much fun that kids dont even realize they are gaining incredibly important skills. DeAndrea Dennis is awesome - though I will say I have enjoyed all of the staff members we have interacted with. I had to fight insurance, but were now getting out of network Cigna coverage. Worth the fight. Such a highlight of my childs week.

My sister, Tina, has Multiple Sclerosis, and as anyone with MS knows, exercise after diagnosis is definitely different than before. However, my sister started a new program. It is called BioDensity, and it’s not just good for her body, it’s good for her mind too. Fitness For Health calls itself a gym, but we’ve never seen a gym like this before. When Tina was first referred to Fitness for Health, she had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and had heard about their innovative physical therapy program called BioDensity. One of the employees, William Sickel, contacted her to introduce himself and tell Tina a little about the program.BioDensity was actually developed to help combat Osteoporosis. He explained that, “Weight-bearing exercises are the key to stimulating bone growth, and the greater the weight applied, the better the results. BioDensity delivers weight—known as osteogenic loading—at multiples of your bodyweight, and beyond what is typically achieved in basic exercise...Research has also shown significant stability and functional movement improvements with multiple populations.”He took a brief medical history, and asked Tina what her goals were. After they got her doctor’s approval (since she also has a heart condition) she made an appointment to get started. When she began, she wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, Fitness For Health is a gym that does everything from training champion athletes to physical therapy for children, adults, and seniors. It could have been anything from a room filled with weights to a plain, institutionalized setting. She was happily surprised. The inside looks like a cross between a playground (complete with trampoline and rock climbing wall) and a video game room, with a few high tech exercise machines thrown in, just for fun.Her trainer, the other owner, Marc Sickel, met Tina in the waiting area and led her to one of their high tech machines that looks like a chair that amazingly she got to...sit in! As a general rule, Tina has never been a big fan of exercise- both before and after MS. We had been assured that it was not strenuous, but that she would get the maximum level of benefit out of it. Let’s just say we were skeptical. That is not the image that exercise brings to mind...can anyone say sit-ups?She was eased through a series of burst like exercises that that could be done at her own pace, and only one of the exercises was done standing up. This was fantastic!Since starting the BioDensity and Power Plate therapies at Fitness For Health, not only has Tina’s health improved, but specifically, she is doing better as a whole. Both she and I have noticed that her balance, energy and stamina have improved. Although MS pain ebbs and flows, she feels that it has also decreased. Without a doubt, BioDensity and Power Plate have made a huge improvement in my sister’s life.Just like their top of the line exercise equipment, the atmosphere at Fitness For Health is like none other. The staff make you feel like family. You can tell that they are truly invested in their clients progress. Although definitely a secondary concern to your health, scheduling appointments is always a quick and pleasant process. There is nothing like loving your doctor but hating their office. Well, none of that here. From the science behind the process, to the owners, the staff and the equipment, everything at Fitness For Health works together in harmony to form a great team. Thank you Fitness For Health.

I’ve been doing a new kind of exercise program. It is called BioDensity, and it’s not just good for my body, it’s good for my mind. It is at Fitness For Health, which calls itself a gym, but I’ve never been to a gym like this before. When I was first referred to Fitness for Health, I had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and had heard about their innovative physical therapy program called BioDensity. One of the owners, William Sickel, contacted me to introduce himself and tell me a little about the program. BioDensity was actually developed to combat Osteoporosis. BioDensity delivers weight—known as osteogenic loading—at multiples of your bodyweight, and beyond what is typically achieved in basic exercise...Research has also shown significant stability and functional movement improvements with multiple populations.” We talked about how although the therapy was originally developed for bone health, there has been a leap in the research that shows that it helps repair damage to neurons as well. He took a brief medical history, and asked me what my goals were. After we got my doctor’s approval (since I also have a heart condition) I made an appointment to get started. When I began, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, Fitness For Health is a gym that does everything from training champion athletes to physical therapy for children, adults, and seniors. It could have been anything from a room filled with weights to a plain, institutionalized setting. I had been assured that it would not be strenuous, but that I would get the maximum level of benefit out of it. Let’s just say I was skeptical. But as I sat down in the chair like machine, my worries began to fade away. I was then eased through a series of burst like exercises that I could do at my own pace. This was something even I could do. Only one of the exercises was done standing up-this was fantastic! Then Marc took me over to the Power Plate machine, which is a, “whole-body vibration platform that allows for reflexive engagement of the neuromuscular system at rapid and repeatable oscillation. This intervention has been clinically shown to increase balance and stability in both healthy and aging-frail populations.” Basically, I stood on a small platform while it gently vibrated, and then I balanced on one leg and then the other. There was no pressure, so if one day I couldn’t balance for the whole time that was fine. As with the BioDensity, I was led through several exercises, however, for the Power Plate, instead of “bursts”, most of the exercises were balancing for short periods at a time. Since the sessions are short, you can fit them in anytime. Since starting the BioDensity and Power Plate therapies at Fitness For Health, I feel like not only has my health improved, but specifically, I am doing better as a whole. My balance, energy and stamina have improved. Although MS pain ebbs and flows, I feel that it has also decreased. Without a doubt, BioDensity and Power Plate have made a huge improvement in my life. You can tell that they are truly invested in your progress. Although definitely a secondary concern to your health, scheduling appointments is always a quick and pleasant process. From the science behind the process, to the owners, the staff and the equipment, everything at Fitness For Health is the best that is available.
