This is a really great gym. I was concerned about the price, but after doing the 1 day guest pass, I now believe this place is worth the $139/month. They have about a dozen power racks with Olympic bar sets, barbells up to 120 lbs, dozens and dozens of cardio machines and an extremely nice locker room with great showers, towels and a nice spa included.

While expensive, the gym does give the luxury vibe you are looking for. I just wish the employees were more present in the gym especially during the late night hours. Sometimes the guest pass gets absued and people continue to take their masks off in the gym. Employees should constantly be monitoring all levels of the gym to insure the high quality and standards being practiced. I love this gym, I just wished the employees enforced the rules more and monitored more

Coming from Gaithersburg Lifetime fitness, it just didnt compare to it. It felt very dark and obviously smaller. You had to carry a key for the locker with you vice having the code key. It felt like a regular gym, not a luxury gym.

Love this gym but I wish they plan to go back to being open 24 hours again soon. Or have a way to have us scan in at night and let it be 24 hours. Honestly it doesnt even need to be staffed for the few hours its close. Just have a way people can scan in and workout. My old boxing gym was like that u just scan in and the door unlocks. I might end up switching to a 24hour gym soon because LT doesnt plan on going back to 24 hours at all so far.

Overpriced and does not keep members health as their first priority, and it is the same at all of the Lifetime outlets. While I realize this is a for-profit business, the focus is on up-selling and not health. All types of cross-marketing with very little advantage to members assaults you as soon as you walk in the door. The trainers are average at best, and the fees are far above market. I dont blame the trainers for the fees they charge, that is set by the company. I recently asked if I could make my membership a single instead of family because my kids are too old to be on the family plan. But I was very clear that I wanted the sme club access level that I had always had, and I have been a member for over 12 years. Without telling me and without my authorization, the club manager at the Rockville LifeTime moved me to a more expensive membership plan with access to fewer clubs! The worst kind of up-sell--one where I was actually up-charged but down-graded. I have been trying to get that corrected for the past 6 weeks and it still has not happened. In addition, the equipment is in poor condition with out-of order signs always prevalent. I suggest avoiding this gym. I will be cancelling my membership.

Gym is dirty and unsanitary … especially in bathrooms and locker room. Cleaning staff just walks around. When I told that the bathroom smelled, “oh okay, I’ll get to it” - at the end of my workout it (an hour later) it still smelled. I’ve never seen the showers cleaned and think they probably only do it once a day if that. The sink countertops and changing stations are usually gunky.

A luxury health club with first rate instructors and extremely cautious about sanitizing.

Ive been a loyal member of this Life Time club for 12 years since its launch and enjoyed many visits for maintaining my health and fitness until this club took a turn for the worse and my membership has come to a brutal end during this awful historic pandemic.Since their reopening during pandemic, Ive had to escalate complaints for basic requirements like temperature checks and maintaining healthy conditions, much less upholding posted policies. But matters came to a head when after they eliminated amenities and severely cut hours from the 24 hours I joined for while keeping their premium dues the same, the management refused to have staff periodically monitor mask compliance and required me to request staff intervention with the repeat more serious infractions undermining my workouts with limited time. This is an extension of their systemic and longstanding problem I encountered of their refusal to have staff monitor safety and make assistance available on gym floors during evening hours, which is standard in even the lower tier clubs in the area.Ive found much better value with alternative gyms in the area that value their members and respect the concerns of the pandemic and provide the basic support and amenities I found lacking in this club that requires premium dues which are totally unjustified. I strongly recommend looking at other superior gyms in the area offering much better value, appreciation of their members and far better member services.

Had the best experience visiting the LifeSpa today! I went in for a facial with Angela S. and she went above and beyond for me. After battling with adult acne I was nervous about getting a facial, but Angela ensured I was comfortable and understood the treatment. She even gave me tips on how to better care for my skin at home. I left feeling like I had a new face, and bonus: I got the most relaxing massage! Highly recommend!

Lifetime staff are simply rude. I have requested for exactly four months for a small change in my account and it has never been done. I asked in person and called about 15 times. Today I called again and expressed my frustration and their lack of customer service and was hung up on. I called the corporate Office and stated what I have been going through for four months and the customer care didn’t care a bit and hung up on me. I called a third time and asked to be transferred to an actual customer care manager and was told that there was no such a thing. This place charges me a pricy membership and yet I have to see a decent staff working with you. They are all rude , Unprofessional and lack customer care training. I am fed up and feel so cheated. Don’t join this place. A true nightmare.

So Happy I got a membership here - especially for the spa perks. Mojdeh is my go to Stylist. Super personable, really listens to what you want, gives polite honest feedback and is super professional. This Salon/Spa is Rockvilles best kept secret.

Guys- you NEED a pedicure. Trust me on this one! Mymy is THE BEST pedicurist and will make your gnarly feet beautiful again! I have a propensity for ingrown toenails and I go every three weeks so I can stay ahead of it. Mymy totally knows how to take amazing care of me and I’m not going anywhere else.

The massage was very good. The prices were reasonable. The place was clean and well-maintained. If there’s one thing that would bring my rating up to a 5, it would be customer service. They weren’t rude or anything, but they sure weren’t friendly either.

There are things that I like about this place. I like my personal trainer. I like the ample supply of towels. I have no issues for the most part, except for when its super crowded (read early mornings and evenings), and you keep bumping into people. Paid classes take priority, so dont be surprised to be kicked out of workout areas because there is a class going on with 2 people in it. In short, not cheap, super crowded, meh management.

A good value for the money. You are guarantee to find something you like with the trainers who are friendly and more than willing to help out whether you are a novice or have been doing this for years. They take excellent care of their machines. One time when I was two a day and a tread mill broke down near me int the morning workout- it was repaired before I came in for my after-work workout. The locker rooms as spotless and the showers being disinfected on a daily basis.

My experience as a first time visitor was excellent, Ms. Myoung was exceptional in regards to her customer service.

Weird location - checked it out on vacation for Thanksgiving. Small weight area - choppy layout with a big open space in the middle? Not sure what for?Lots of cardio and the Alpha section downstairs is cool

Very nice gym for the location; not on par with their newest gyms, but thats ok. Ample free weights and more machines than I need. Friendly staff, good food at the cafe. Tons of classes, a Spa, Salon, etc, none of which I use. I use it mainly for the gym, and yes, its expensive for that. But I also use the child care, which is great. And if you live in Potomac, this is the closest gym around. I used to pay less for a gym that was farther away, and consequently I seldom went. Now I pay more but I go 5+ times a week. Lifetime is a better deal for me.... plus, I can also hit other clubs in the area and around the country, which is nice.

The facilities are very nice but the steam room and showers are usually pretty gross. Almost every shower has a pressure issue. The place is nice but hasnt been kept up very well. For $104/month, I expect better upkeep of what could be a very nice gym.

Cancelling a membership is a nightmare here. They do everything in their power to delay and charge you for more time. I tried to cancel my membership and was told I would be charged for the following two months AFTER the cancellation. I had to escalate this to corporate and they gave me a month back, but I still had to pay $110 for a month I wasnt going to use. You shouldnt charge someone the upcoming month if you cancel the month before. Horrible business practice.

Fuwad is the man! He was personable and friendly. After talking with us, he knew exactly what we would love about the gym and certainly made us fall in love with the equipment. The pricing was a little bit higher than we were looking for, but he made the investment well worth it! If you want a great experience, talk to him!

I love how this place has everything you need. Absolutely everything, fitness wise. Equipment is comprehensive. Instructors are well-trained and very professional. Their pantry area has all the healthy stuff you need too.

I was given a free voucher and tried the place since its free anyway. But Im finding it pretty good so far. Its very well-maintained and the staff are very knowledgeable. Theyre a pleasure to deal with.

No short term passes. Called, said I was a contractor in town for a couple weeks and looking for a weekly pass/membership. They said, Come on it, we will be able to help you out. After talking for a few minutes, the sales lady goes to talk to the manager. She came back in and said they could not help me out. I asked, Whats the problem? Arent you in the money making business? I have money to spend here? Well the daily pass is $50, and they wouldnt make any money on the weekly pass. So I asked what a month cost. She said $99. I asked if they went month to month. They do. So I said lets do that then. $99 for only 10 days is rough but not terrible. Then she said there was a two month minimum. After my sigh and disgusted look, she said shed go ask the manager if they could make an exception. Coming back in, she said no, he wouldnt help me out. Apparently this idiot doesnt believe in customer service or the power of reviews. Ended up going to LA Fitness for $15 a day.

The spa is always great and if you are coming to use it, you can use the fitness facilities as well.Mojdeh at the spa is a great hair stylist, very dedicated and detailed on her job.Everyone comments on my hair and the highlights.No doubt a spa and a stylist I would recommend without a doubt.

Okay - I am SICK of their billing issues. Every bill is a lottery, and you have to keep checking your credit card to see what they are billing. I tried working with them, and the best they can do is issue LT bucks (which I never use since they are not good for much anyway), but they wont honor their previously communicated dues (such as monthly amount to be billed). I wanted to cancel my membership, and they say that I will still be on hook to pay for next two months!?!?!?? Are you kidding me!?

The gym is okay. Its nice enough but is kinda grimy in the mens room. The price is a little too much at what I was paying so I cancelled. I think that the value is there only if you 1. Have children. 2. Do the classes and 3. Live nearby.If all you plan on doing is working out on your own, it doesnt justify the price. I was a member for about a year and just could not stand spending over 1300. I have since joined a very small and private gym that has all I need to workout and a clean shower for 25 dollars a month and doesnt charge sign up fees (what a joke sign up fees are.) The savings goes towards paying down my mortgage ;)

People are completely naked in steam rooms when there is kids present with their legs open up, like some people have no manners. Customers are rude and very criticising, front desk employees are on phone and talk to each other, they cant even greet people and answer to question properly. DO NOT give your phone numbers and emails to lifetime, they call you like there is no tomorrow, unnecessary repeated calls and mesages!.

I was content with this club for eleven months until I became ill and had to end my membership due to my doctors advice. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY AUTOMATIC MONTHLY RECURRING CHARGES. THEY KEPT OVER $1200 OF MY MONEY when I had to quit going to the gym for medical reasons. I was able to get $750 back finally after six months of calling them every 2-3 days. What happened was I was supposed to give 30 days notice before the auto-charge for the next months charges for training sessions went through. Gee, sorry I forgot about it. I was really sick. I have tried to get my money back from my old trainer, the general manager, and member services at the corporate office. They all tell me the same thing: You are required to give us 30 days notice if you want to suspend an automatically recurring service. Thats the policy, you signed the agreement, and there is nothing I can do for you. I tried to offer a compromise by asking if I could use the money in their spa for massages, manicures, hair cuts, etc. No, their policies dont allow transfer of customer money between departments. This was all back in July 2017. In February 2018 I received a little over half of my unused training session money back. I am still trying to get the rest of it. BOTTOM LINE: The club is nice, the classes are great, the trainers are great. You will love it. But DONT SIGN UP FOR ANY AUTOMATICALLY RECURRING SERVICES like training, pilates, etc. Pay a little more per session and pay as you go instead.

I love life time Atlantic however the Rockville location life time Atlantic some stuff members are very rude. The Rockville location is very close to home for me but I go to the Columbia location now and very pleasant stuff and great atmosphere, I rather drive little more where is positive vibes.

I was told by my physician that I required work on a vibration plate for osteoporosis. I Googled to find a place that had the equipment. I went to the Rockville location and am glad that I did. The staff has great respect for clients. Gym is clean and well-maintained. My trainer is a perfect fit for me. And I have built two pounds of muscle in just a week!I am saving so much money when compared with a PT practice that would have involved co-pays and costly office visits.

I joined in 2008. At first, really the first couple of years, the place was exceptional. Gradually, it got worse and worse. I am talking about the Mens dressing room.They used to have a hard working and intelligent locker room monitor. He was friendly, came to know the members by name, and policed the place by cleaning up the floors of soggy towels and making sure that people did not go into the whirlpool right after exercising without a shower .After they let him go for some unknown reason, they have had a series of workers, mostly short time, and content just to pick up the used towels from the containers and restocking. Some men use the whirlpool naked or wrapped in a Lifetime towel and then leave it sopping on the floor. The young high school crowd in the late afternoon are noisy (which I could endure) and seldom if ever shower before getting in.On the good side is that the equipment is well maintained and clean. I didnt use the trainers, but others did, and my observation of them is that they are professional.I complained regularly to the management about the dressing room maintenance and finally decided to go somewhere else and pulled out. Exercising only at the Rockville Swim Center, although substantially less costly, has facilities that are crowded during the times I want to go. I gained weight and my blood sugar rose, so I decided to put up with the dirty dressing room and the stinking whirlpool (it does) and rejoin. In the meantime, the monthly charge had gone up from $90 to `$106 and the charge for a locker had gone to $50. I would have been happy to rejoin at the previous rate but the unfriendly salesman was not open to letting me back at the previous rate. He was impolite and haughty. I guess their membership is full

I have a family diamond membership at this club. I have been here since it opened. I had taken quite a liking to yoga and became quite engrossed with practicing there and loved a handful of instuctors...until corporate changed their program to this ridiculous flow at your own pace routine. I dont know what they call it, but I call it confusing and stressful. The class has no cohesiveness as the instructor just stands there and gives no cues after a couple of flow routines. If you are novice you will be really lost. AND there are no classes for beginners, so if you have never done yoga, do not join this gym. Beyond that, it is a luxurious club, but I would rather work out in a dump than do yoga here. Disappointing. If my membership where not paid in full by my husbands company, I would have quit long ago!!

Overall, I’ve had a wonderful experience as a guest at lifetime. The facility has an admirable amount of options and machines, which vary depending on the muscle group, you plan to work. Moreover, the locker room, is one much less than a gym, and more compatible to that of a European football, training facility. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy the hot tub, after a working hard, as well as the luxurious steam room. Contextually, I’ve used the gym around four times as a guest, and am experienced lifter, months always from turning 18. I am no liability to injury, and know how long to push myself, and the extent of weight I can endure. Hence, my only complaint pertains to a certain employee named Muyoung. Upon informing her I was not 18, she portrayed a bitter, arrogant, and contempt persona. I had used the facility three times prior, and had never been ID’d, so I was puzzled, to say the least, especially because of the treatment I received from your employee. My friend presented his guest pass to her, which in no way reflected the restriction of 18 and up. However, she stated “this is invalid” and ripped it up, in front of our faces. Similarity, when I presented my drivers liscence, another employee, presenting a more empathetic appeal, wanted to allow me to pass. Yet, Muyoung was set in her bitter manner, and insisted upon her ways.

I am giving 1 star because the facility is nice. Today was my first and last day at lifetime fitness. My friend wanted me to try out her gym today. We arrived at lifetime fitness at 3. My friend was told that you cannot use guest pass until after 4. This was a newly implemented policy that my friend was never made aware of. After 30 mins of the supervisor Gaby Rosales arguing with my friend over $30 she decided to pay it. We then went back to speak to a manager. Gaby brought Stefan Henry who is not a manager but an assistant sales manager. Who then proceeded to say the same thing. All I can say is after an hour of ups and downs nothing was done and they basically lost my friend over $30. She spends $190 a month! There are other gyms in the area that cost $50 and perfect customer service Sport & Health. This gym is overpriced and the customer service is -100.

This is a top notch gym, with great sales people and great service people. I would advise prospective members to ignore the petty, high-minded, and completely unfair reviews you find here that seem to be based on one isolated experience and not a full consideration of the value this place offers. Anyone who rated this place less than 3 stars is a spoiled rotten, whiny little baby.I have a toddler, he knows the route we take to drive to the gym and once he realizes where we are going, he recalls the names of the employees who work there! They are incredible and in fact, I would say they are 50% of why I keep coming here. The other two things I make good use of is the steam room and whirl pool. This place is definitely worth it in my honest opinion.

A very upscale gym with a pretty bizarre layout. I think it was originally a government contractor office. The free weight area is now downstairs while the plates and machines are upstairs. Pretty annoying if you are moving between the two or interested in doing HIIT or super sets. Luckily, most people at this location arent doing that so it works. Lots of amenities, and the staff is very attentive. Our original sales guy was incredibly helpful as I transferred between home and college, and he helped us take me on and off the plan accordingly and affordably.

A few weeks ago I worked out at LifeTime Fitness on a Saturday. A few days later, I went to pay a parking fee and noticed $250-300 in cash was missing from my wallet. I can’t prove the cash was taken while it was in my locker at LifeTime Fitness, but it was the only time the wallet was out of my possession. I have filed an Incident Report and Police Report. I am writing this review to ask if any other members of LifeTime Fitness have had a similar experience.

A few weeks ago I was looking to switch my gyms so naturally I started looking at lifetime Rockville. I emailed an employee through the website to organize a guest pass to check out the gym and everything was set to go. However when I went to the gym the front desk attendant, Myoung, was very rude and not helpful. She would not honor the pass given by the employee and I was forced to wait outside until a supervisor finally said she was wrong. But by this time a bad taste had been left in my mouth, despite the amazing facilitie and more free weights and machines than could be used at once I will not be switching to lifetime. Positive Human-Human contact for employees has apparently become a thing of the past in this new age of email and electronics. The passive aggressive nature and inability to help has left me with no choice but too rate lifetime of Rockville a 2/5 star.

Worst customer service ever. They are penny wise and pound foolish. They lost me because they wanted me to pay the monthly fee when I was just using the Pilates training which was $85 a pop and I used it twice a week. They changed the rules so I left. So they lost $680 in order to get $180.

This is a great gym--you get what you pay for, and the price is more of an incentive to come frequently. Wish they would open a location in D.C.

This club has the worst communication I have ever encountered. For the umpteenth time, I showed up for a 5:30AM class to find out it was cancelled. This has also happened with evening classes as well. HOW HARD IS IT TO POST ONLINE THAT A CLASS IS CANCELLED!!! They have everyones email address, why cant these things be communicated. I have complained about this to the GM w/o any resolution, and this morning may be the straw that breaks this back. For as much as I pay on a monthly basis-including an extra $100+ monthly for Bootcamp-this is inexcusable.This is the most poorly run and monitored gym I have ever been a member of.

You get what you pay for here, top notch service, equipment, and ammenities. Pricey? Absolutely but pennys dont buy gold.

I dont normally write reviews but Im appalled by all the negative reviews I see on Google. This review is based solely on my opinion and experience as a member over the last few years. To start this is considered a premium gym and carries a bit of a monthly price tag attached to it which would be my only reason for deducting 1 star, however it is because of this that the gym attracts a different type of clientele. The gym is gorgeous and kinda resembles more of a day spa feel and look. The gym also offers plenty of amenities such as complimentary workout and bath towels that can easily be found throughout the entire gym. In the lockers rooms you will find an amazing eucalyptus steam, dry sauna, as well as jacuzzi. The actual gym is pretty spacious. The free weight area, workout machines and cardio equipment are well spaced out so you never feel cramped. Lifetime also offers plenty of classes like yoga, spinning, pilates, cycling, and kickboxing to name a few. There is even a small cafe in the gym for pre or post workout nourishment. The Spa and Salon is an added bonus as you can get a massage to help you recover or relax or even get a haircut or your nails done if you wish. Now as I said this is based solely off my experience as I can not speak for others but I would definitely recommend at least checking out Lifetime if you are interested. I would also ask for Gadi or Stefon when you come in and theyll take good care of you.
