My first experience was remarkable. The staff was super professional. I couldnt believe the multiple tests given during my eye appointment. Visionary staff left no stones unturned. Dr. Martinez was outstanding..after all test given by staff..he conducted tests to confirm all results. Who does that?? He explained eye exam results in detail and used an eye model to demonstrate. Dr Martinez has Excellent bed side manner. I highly recommend Visionary eye doctors.

My experience was beyond excellent the team performed numerous tests on my eyes in advance of meeting the Doctor. He used the current testing and did his own evaluation spending over an hour diagnosing my condition. The doctor was wonderful reviewing and suggesting options to save and improve my eyesight. I left with a plan for next steps. Fantastic experience I highly recommend Visionary Eye Doctors.

I think the people running Visionary Eye Doctors in the Rockville/North Bethesda office need to rethink packing so many people into the small waiting room and throughout the suite, especially during these times. The waiting room is way too small. The check in kiosks are poorly located, the seating is inadequate, and sending people to wait in the cars is a bad option. I felt shuffled around and really forgotten during the whole experience. My two hour experience just to get a second opinion on an eye glass prescription left me very frustrated. The front desk staff could not help me understand where I was in the queue. They see the chaos happening in front of them but really are helpless to do anything. This starts at the top. I urge the people in charge of managing the flow of the suite to stop and ask themselves if this is a 5 star situation for a health care facility. Im sorry to give this feedback but maybe some good will come out of it.

Doctors and staff at Visionary were excellent.Very thorough and friendly. I was diagnosed with a delicate and pressing condition requiring a laser procedure. Fortunately they were able to schedule me for next week. I will update this review after the procedure.

They are overbooking patients, who are all packed into confined spaces, in the middle of a pandemic.My partner and I had back-to-back vision exam appointments (10:50, 11:00) on a Saturday. We are assigned the same doctor somehow for these appointments. By 11:40, I am only seen briefly by a tech, and then told that there is an additional 15-20 minute wait because they are “backed up”.Having to wait 1+ hr without being seen by the doc is ridiculous. What kind of a healthcare practice prioritizes getting money and bodies into the door over the safety and well-being of the people who entrusted their care with them? Not a good one.Stay away from this place, they do not respect your time and health.

Check- in was difficult. Everything was done electronically and it wasnt easy to follow. The office staff, medical tech and the doctor were very professional. I was unable to complete all the services I wanted done that day. That was possibly for insurance purposes. . That was disappointing. I might need three visits to complete what I use to do in one visit. Thats annoying.

My experience from check-in throughout the entire process was outstanding. Each contact along the way was very professional and thorough with their explanations of what they were doing and why. Dr. Fritz Allen was extremely patient and thorough when explaining his diagnosis/concerns. He took extreme care to make certain that I understood his concerns and that all of my questions were answered.Recognizing that I may think of other questions later, Dr. Allen said to feel free to reach out to him anytime for further explanations. There was no rushed atmosphere throughout the entirety of my visit. Special Kudos to Karen for providing valuable input and working patiently with me (nearly an hour) in helping to select frames for my 2 pair of glasses. Awesome experience!

I had a wonderful experience at Visionary Eye Doctors. The staff was attentive and friendly but what blew me away was the care from, Dr. Hosseini. He is very different to other optometrist in the area and seems to be pro-preventive care and educating his patients. Based on my experience today, Dr. Hosseini, is absolutely an attentive and knowledgeable doctor. I truly appreciated all the tips he provided me I order to help alleviate my migraines. I didnt know this is what eye visits should be like. I will definitely be bringing my family here. Thank you for the amazing care today!P.S. I love their wide selection of frames. Got in the office 15 mins prior to our appointment time and was quickly registered and taken back exactly at our scheduled time. Very thorough exam for a new patient and the process between each tech/doctor flowed seamlessly. Had a little hiccup with my insurance that prevented getting glasses and he waited and spoke with my insurance rep and got everything situated and we left we two pairs of glasses. Everyone was very patient, kind and knowledgeable. New customers that turned into lifetime customers.

Wow - cannot say enough great things about this office, the staff and Dr. Allen. From the phone operator who was able to make an emergency appointment day of for my condition, to the cleanliness and organization of the office and staff. The wait was not long and the triage nurse was kind, patient, and very knowledgable. Dr. Allen was quick but not rushed. He identified my issue, worked with my concerns, answered my questions and was very easy to work with. I will be back and absolutely recommend this office to others.

My visit at Visionary Eye Doctors went very well . The support staff was very polite and efficient. The office is ultra modern. The check-in process was fast and easy too complete . Dr . Middleton is very knowledgeable and communicates her expertise in a pleasant and informative manner . One feels they are getting the best care possible .

Service from the actual physician and the technician who assisted my child was great, however the admin staff gave us quite an issue. When I called the office to get directions because we were lost, the woman on the line could have easily said that the office was located inside of the building with the grocery store attached, however she didn’t seem to know where she was, and when we finally found the building and went into the office to check in, I was told I’d have to reschedule the appointment even though I was just on the phone with them and explained that I was trying to locate the office because the directions navigated us to the previous address.. and the person I spoke to said nothing to confirm our story.. after stating that we couldn’t come back (firstly I sat on the phone with insurance for damn near an hour just to find an office for my son, and he really needed glasses, not to mention that the office is across town on the other side of the city and we fought through mad traffic to get there on time only to get lost so no, we were not coming back) we waited over an hour to be seen and then we were practically shooed out of the door because I’m guessing they were closing, and my son didn’t even get a chance to look at frames, we just got his prescription. I ended up ordering glasses online for him because there’s no way I was driving back there. I don’t remember how much I had to pay for parking but that’s a deterrent also especially when they don’t validate. I wish I could say we had a better experience, outside of that though, the tech and physician were great. The experience outside of those two individuals is enough for me to not consider returning.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Shirley Middleton and her wonderful staff. They absolutely killed my nervousness with their open, friendly and helpful approach towards me. Dr. Middletons assistant, Talia was great and highly instrumental in calming my nerves. Her patients and understand were impeccable. I even felt very comfortable letting her put 2 sets of eye drops, in my eyes. This was a major accomplishment because, I have serious Trust Issues!! Dr. Middletons bed side manor was great and she was incredible and reassuring. She made me feel like family. I even saw my Family Doctor there ( Dr. Vernon Smith ) who referred me to Dr. Middleton, waiting to see her also. This made my visit even more joyful because, I actually witness my personal Doctor putting his money where his mouth is. He said she was great and he was totally correct. I am one of few people that can say, I had Fun at my Doctors Appointment and was treated very well.

This was my first office visit to this practice. I was referred by my husband who is a patient. From check in to check out l felt an unusual sense of professionalism, courtesy, and outstanding skill. I was so impressed with the entire experience that I’m even considering changing over to this practice. I just needed an ERG test, but everything that I experienced suggests this practice is forward in technology, forward thinking and a leader in eye care. I was highly impressed and literally blown away.

Excellent, compassionate care.The opticians spent a lot of time with me to diagnose a vision issue I was having. On a previous visit I saw an opthalmologist, who diagnosed a serious problem that my family doctor wasnt able to treat and referred me to the right surgeon for correction. It happened during the lock-down phase of the pandemic and he showed me a work around to protect my eye while I waited to have the surgery.The office staff are also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Cremers is the best! She’s very compassionate and knowledgeable. She knows a lot about the effect that screens are having on dry eye problems. Pro tip: if you’re on screens and not blinking, you’re teaching your moisturizing glands in your eyes to DRY UP PERMANENTLY! For those moms out there, it’s akin to breastfeeding. Once you’ve weaned the baby you cannot nurse again. It’s a use it or lose it situation.And if you’re a kid, you are in for a world of eye pain if you inadvertently make your glands dry up! Schools need to wake up and stop using too many screens! Each blink you blink tells your body to keep making oily secretions to keep your eyes moisturized. When you stare at screens the brain hyper-focuses and forgets to blink.

Cant say enough good things about this group. Ive seen several docs at this place over the past several years for annual medical eye exams, and for vision exams. Ive been highly impressed with all of them. Its clear that the senior doctors in this office have established a great work culture here that flows across all segments of their operations. The technicians, office staff and optical staff are all professional, yet easy going and friendly. The office is large and always clean and well-organized. Their office operations have always been on time and efficient. FYI, I am not receiving any incentive to post this review. I was prompted by an online survey to write about my experience on Google, and hope that this helps others who are struggling to find good quality eye care in the region.

This practice seemed efficient and timely. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions that I had. My physician knew exactly why I was there and what I needed, and was also very helpful in explaining my situation and possible treatments.

I had an exam and consultation with Dr. Fritz Allen. He was thorough, professional and discussed aspects concerning my vision, that I had never discussed with any of my previous eye doctors. I was pleased with my overall visit.If this is your first visit to this office, be prepared to spend at least 2 hours. You will see several assistants, prior to seeing the Dr. who will perform a series of preliminary tests, which may or may not include administering eye drops. Bring your sunglasses or ask for a pair of temporary ones at reception. You will need them once your visit is over.Parking is across the street from the office. Like most of Rockville parking on the street is limited and running down stairs to the meter will extend your appointment time. Be prepared to pay $10 for parking in the parking lot, thats the cost for the day. Save your energy and park in the lot. All the staff at Visionary Eye Doctors are polite, professional and efficient. Overall I was quite pleased with my visit.

Ive always had a great experience at this office. The process for check in is fast and easy. Communication with the office prior to my visits always lets me know what I need to complete before coming in. This has cut down on time to check in when I arrive. During my visits the staff are always friendly and helpful and the visit is handled quickly and efficiently. I see Dr Hosseini, hes been great. Always explains things well and we come up with a plan together for future visits. Ive bought glasses here and received the same prompt and courteous service.

I have been going to Visionary Eye Doctors for about 7 years. The staff is efficient and friendly and provide great service. They are a large practice with multiple specialties, so can probably cover all needs. I have have cataract surgery with Dr. Martinez as well as my normal annual vision exams with Dr. Riveros. It’s great to have it all in one office and not have to have medical records transferred between doctors offices. While they are a large practice, they are very busy, so it can take some time to get an appointment for regular care, so that’s the only negative. And the annual exams can take 2.0-2.5 hours to complete, so you’ll be there for a while. At one time I did have an emergency, and they got me in right away, so they are responsive to the patient’s needs. You just need to plan ahead for your annual exams. I recommend Visionary Eye Doctors -they provide great vision care, and have excellent staff support in the office.

I sincerely enjoyed my visit with Dr. Babak Hosseini, OD. It was my first time but It felt like he had been my Dr since I started wearing glasses. Easy to listen to and to understand and he gives you enough window to ask questions. The place was packed but I was in and out.Only problem was, I had to pay $6 for parking.

Everyone is always very nice. Sometimes we joke around which makes me feel at home. Dr Moainie is very nice and knows his stuff. If I have a concern, he takes time to listen. He will even sit down and discuss whatever is on my mind to help me feel at eased.

Dr. Saeed has a very good bedside manner. The entire team was professional and inspired confidence and trust. Visionary Eye Doctors also has a well designed office itself. NOTE: the actual Optometrist I saw was great, HOWEVER, this company is so damn profit driven that its like being in a cattle call. They do not leave time for their doctors to spend adequate time with patients, and they have a tendency to oversell and hound patients to do more and more expensive work, I really liked my doctor, but the environment leaves no room for a good patient experience.

I have seen a few ophthalmologist previously and never had such a thorough eye examination and detailed explanation. Dr. Nima Moainie said I dont need the surgery the previous doctor had recommended and through his detailed explanation he put me at ease. He is genuinely caring and is looking for the best interest of his patients rather than his pocket, he is honest and kind. I now feel I am in good hands and will be going to him from now on. Anyone who goes to him will be hands down very lucky.

Unconditional and exceptional service that cant be matched

Front desk ladies were nice, although they could be more helpful signing people in, not everyone is tech savvy to do it on their own and can take a long time to figure out how while everyone else is waiting in line. Had an appointment at 10 am was seeing at 11:45 and left the office at 1pm. I think this is absurd and unacceptable. Please respect patients time specially if one has an appointment.

Dr Hosseini is amazing. He takes care of his patients, he is very thorough, listens to you takes his time with you. He was willing to change my appointment from just a vision appointment to a vision and medical exam because he knew I needed it and my insurance would only cover it that way. Very nice and knows what he is talking about. Talks super quick. I would totally recommend visionary eye doctors.

The doctors are very professional, and they give a great service. I got a pterygium surgery done at Visionary Eye Doctors, doctor Martinez did the surgery which went smoothly and without any problems. Doctor Riveros has done all my follow ups, she is really great, has always given me all the information I need, and now I made it a routine to check my eyes with her to prevent any other complications and to treat other eye problems. I would definitely book at least an hour and a half for consultations as the place is always busy.

The staff and the doctors at Visionary eye doctors were kind and wonderful. Checking was quick and the eye examination and doctor consult were also pretty fast and easy. Having the optical eight next door is very convenient if you want to get your prescription glasses right away.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Martinez. at visionary eye doctors. I traveled from FL for recurrent pterygium removal surgery and I am certain it was worth the trip. He is an excellent, knowledge, and caring doctor!

Dr. Surefsky is knowledgeable and understanding about my eye condition. The office sees me right away and can squeeze you in on urgent issues.

Wasnt hard to find. But you do have to pay for parking. Either on the street(2hr) or in parking garage directly across. Once upstairs there were quite a few people waiting. No real social distancing was possible. Every area was packed. They did limit the waiting area to patients though.The view from that floor was beautiful.My tech was fantastic. Polite and professional. Very clean and following covid cleaning protocol. The actual optometrist saw me for barely 5 mins. Wasnt a good listener. Nonetheless all other staff were really pleasant to deal with.Because of the location I may not return but it wasnt the worst experience.

I needed to get seen urgently but I didn’t have a regular ophthalmologist. I did a quick search and this place seemed to have good reviews. They were able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment.Great staff, and everyone was following all Covid protocols.They were busy but I was seen in a reasonable amount of time.Brian, the patient care tech, was super friendly and reassuring even though I was nervous about the pain and vision changes I was experiencing.Dr. Hammer was also excellent. He explained the issue very clearly, answered all my questions and gave me a treatment plan that has helped.

The waiting hours were extremely long, nearly over 3 hours, for a simple annual check-up. Due to the long waiting hours, parking also cost an unreasonable and completely unfair amount of payment. And it wasn’t just me who had a bad experience here. One time one of my family members missed one appointment and had to pay $350, nearly $400.

Ive been going to Visionary Eye Doctors for 3 years now. Everybody is super kind and friendly, including the Doctors. I think their care just gets better and better. The last visit, they were even more thorough, so I feel confident that I have the most accurate diagnosis.

The appointment moved smoothly through the different steps of a medical examination. Staff thoroughly explained what procedures they were doing. I feel I had a comprehensive exam.

Been having my eye exams here since 2017. Sometimes I go to their location at Van Ness Metro station, and other times I go to the one at North Bethesda. Like good barbers, I keep going back to my favorite eye doctor. I feel like whenever I visit, the staff really cares about the eyes and I always learn something more about vision and the science about it and everything. Dr. Saeed is easy on my eyes but she is also very knowledgeable, thorough and has exceptional customer service. In fact, she was the first eye doctor I had who told me more about glasses with that blue light filter. Bought a pair here in 2020 and those are the best and most functional glasses Ive ever worn, considering my profession.

The staff is professional and Curtis to there patients and fellow employees. On the other side some say wait time does need improvement. How do govern this when each patients requires different treatment and can change during their visit! Thanks visionary eye doctors.
