Dr. Holzman and team was phenomenal! Everyone made the whole experience placid.

I had my procedure less than 2 weeks ago and Im extremely happy with the results, ecstatic actually. The whole thing took about 10 minutes, maybe a little more? It felt like 3 minutes to me because it was THAT easy. I was a nervous wreck before meeting with Dr. Holzman, but after a pep talk and a sense of confidence from him, I was at ease and remembered why I was there in the first place...to fix my vision and better my quality of life and Dr. Holzman helped me succeed in this.

Dr. Holzman and the entire Rockville TLC staff was magnificent. They were all totally professional, courteous, patient and knowledgeable. All steps of the process were explained in detail and they left me with no concerns or worries. The entire procedure took less than 15 minutes. I am without glasses for the first time in 15 years - I should have not waited so long. Just got back from the 1-week eye post-surgery appointment and Im already seeing 20/15. I would recommend Dr. Holzman and his associates (esp. Dr. Smeriglio) to anyone interested in LASIK. Everyone worked effortlessly to ensure my comfort every step of the way, and the procedure itself wasnt nearly as bad as all the diagrams made it seem. I went from nearly blind to practically eagle in a matter of minutes and Im loving it. And the best improvement of all: no more dry, irritable contacts! I hated those things. One week ago I received PRK surgery at the TLC center. Dr. Holzman and the whole team at TLC was very supportive, very clear in their communications with me, and helped me feel safe and confident when I went in to the surgery center. PRK is much harder to recover from than LASIK, but everything has happened as they told me it would, and my recovery is going just fine. Its good to work with medical professionals who understand that even grown-ups need a teddy bear sometimes.

The first time I went to TLC was four months ago and was taken care of by Dr. Smeriglio. I had very dry eyes and he advised me to not go ahead with the procedure till my eyes were completely healthy. He gave me eye drops and inserted punctal plugs to keep my eyes hydrated. I was well taken care of even before I had paid a single penny !Dr. Holzman is a well renowned surgeon with great experience, and ones eyes deserve only the best. I met him on the day of the surgery (Intralase Lasik) and he totally put me at ease. I could feel his professional hands working on my eyes so swiftly, everything was over before I knew it. Throughout the procedure he help talking to me making sure I was fine. They also have pandora so they play the music you want which really helps. I am embarrassed to say this, but the teddy bear they hand to you while you are in the bed waiting to be operated upon was truly blissful :pAt the end of the surgery day I got a text from Dr. Holzman telling me everything went well and to generally check up on my progress. I even got an email a week later to make sure my eyes are doing fine.I am so glad I chose TLC and Dr. Holzman for my precious eyes !
