About 90% of the doctors arent taking new patients. The doctor I got scheduled with didnt even show up for my annual physical appointment.... 15m in to the appt time I was told that they couldnt make it, and no one could reschedule me cause they were too busy and would call me back. 3 days later I had to call them again to inquire about rescheduling, and they told me the next available appt was 4 months away, despite the doctor being a no-show! They finally squeezed me in for 3wks later after I escalated, but I ultimately gave up and found another practice with better availability + service. Now I cant even get in touch with them to cancel the new appt. The place is an operational mess and really terrible with patient service, which is not a place to trust with your health, in the midst of a pandemic no less.

For the second time the Rockville internist lab did not send the prescriptions to quest for my annual wellness visit. Then, when I called, the operator couldn’t get through to the lab so she sent an “urgent message”, which apparently wasn’t answered. After 2 hours at quest waiting, I left. This was after I had sent several messages on my portal about the tests, whether I needed to fast, etc. So, I cancelled my wellness visit until the tests are done. Follow up- I requested I be given paper copies of the prescriptions. They said I could pick them up at 2pm. When o went, they had no idea what I was talking about. Even thought the tests were listed in my patient portal, dr. Holmes had never submitted the prescriptions. So o waited until they contacted Dr Holmes and she sent the prescriptions so o had hard copies.Something terribly wrong with this picture

The custom service is awful. You barely heard what she said and she did not bother speaking louder. It seems to me that the Drs can see you right way but only virtually. Drs no longer need to examine and listen your body. But they still charge you for an in-person visit. In addition, they offer this app. But in the meantime, the patient account was not set up. The app is meaningless.

Worst experience ever! Dr Saripalli removed a small cyst on my back. 2 weeks later I came back for the removal of stiches. Dr. never came in to look/evaluate if I was ready for the removal. Assistant removed them and 2 days later wound opened up. I called the office about 5 times asking for the Dr. To call me to discuss, I wanted to send a photo to see if there is anything I should do to minimize bleeding and scaring and to prevent infection. NO ONE called me back! I called again 7 DAYS LATER and left messages with the front desk for the supervisor and got NO call back either. They are lucky I did not get an infection because then I would have hired an attorney and sued the practice! Unbelievable!!!

Summer 2021 - Do not come here if you are a new patient. Im an early 30s working professional in good shape and health. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new PCP and to get my routine, annual physical. In order to even get this very regular, preventative care physical exam, RIMG requires you to do a new patient assessment with a doctor. You cannot opt out and just get a physical that is covered by insurance, I repeat, you have no option to not have this visit. That said, the real issue is that no person nor entity from RIMG disclosed to me at the time of setting of this appointment, nor during the appointment, nor when I received my bill that this visit is not included as part of your Annual Physical process (even though, as previously mentioned, you have no ability to opt out of this visit) and that there would be a separate cost for this visit. I have since followed up with their outsourced billings provider, Privia, and internal billings group, neither of which could answer me why I was not informed about the cost associated with this mandatory visit. Its unclear to me the legality of not disclosing this to patients who are just trying to obtain a regular, annual preventative care physical. If you are looking at coming here as a new patient, be prepared to pay full retail price (~$200 for me) for this visit, not obtain any sort of physical exam, and at the end of the visit, it seems they could reject as a patient anyways.

The worst in terms of customer service and payments. Last year they shipped the incorrect medication to my husband, drained our health savings account down 1000.00. We called to report it and say they had made this huge mistake; we were told wed get a call back from the office manager. Its been almost a year and we have yet to see the money refunded back to us. My husband has called back numerous times. There has been no follow up. We still havent been compensated for their mistake. Completely unprofessional staff and unhelpful. Id give no stars if I could. I saw doctor Shik, and this was the most unpleasant medical experience Ive ever had. First, we had a 30 minute telehealth annual physical (not covered by insurance) where Dr. Shik rushed through the questions with the personal touch of Survey Monkey. There were some concerns, so I had a follow up in person; the person touch was just as deficient there too. The practice runs like a factory; if thats how you want your medical care provided, then by all means, this is the place for you.

That said, during Covid-19 they have been incredibly negligent in their responsibility to provide in-person care and appointments.Since late May, I have been to 3 other doctors appointments ranging from Radiology to Cardiology to Ob/GYN; all my other doctors have been open and taking patients in-person for MONTHS while RIMG remains (to this day!) hidden behind a veil of virtual visits.Shame on RIMG for being so absent and negligent during one of the most important times for patient care.

I believe that there are internal management problems at this office. The staff is nice and seems effective, the doctors that I have seen seem adequate. But I have problems getting my lab work prescriptions sent over to LabCorp. This is the second time that I have had trouble. I arrived on time at LabCorp for my blood draw and no test requests had been sent. I waited 45 minutes to have RIMG send over my prescribed labs so that I could have my blood drawn. Finally I had to drive down to RIMG office to retrieve them so that I could have my draw on my day off. When I arrived at the office I was directed to go to the lab even though the person I spoke with on the phone said that the person at the desk (and I have a name) could just print them out for me. Instead I needed to go to the lab because the person at the desk said something about their RIMGs internal system. When I got to the lab the person there told me that they preferred to sent them electronically, which I thought was what was going to happen. But she did give me paper copies so I could drive all the way back to LabCorp and get my draw. I was told by the scheduling person that RIMG lab was booked up for 4 weeks with morning fasting appointments. I wish this company would get themselves together so that patients werent obliged to do unnecessary work just to have health care.

I have been a patient here for several years, but each time I visit they try to find as many ways to charge you for routine services, including annual physicals which should be covered by insurance. RIMG claims that its the insurance companys fault but the only reason the insurance will not cover the routine checkup is because RIMG constantly codes each annual physical as a sick visit. Further, they constantly sneak in labs as part of the physical that are not covered by insurance. If billing honesty is important to you, I suggest you go elsewhere.

NOT trustworthy and HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE.I made an appointment on 21st January with Dr Pasindu Samarasinghe for a virtual visit. The office gave me an appointment for February 9th 2021, 11 am and registered my name as a new patient. I filled all the required info on their privia app. I checked-in with their system on February 8th as requested, and provided my insurance info and paid my co-pay through their app. On February 9th at 10.46 am I got a text and email confirming my 11 am appointment. Then the Doctor called me around 11 am and requested my health insurance info, because he claimed that he never got my insurance details. I was surprised, because I uploaded all the health insurance information through their app the day before as they requested. Doctor refused to have the virtual visit at 11 am without my insurance info, but offered to re-schedule my appointment at 4 pm the same day, as long as I provide him with my health insurance information prior to the appointment. I was in the middle of my work, I had to drive home and pick my insurance card. When I came home to pick my insurance card, Doctor again called me around 12.15 pm and said he cannot see me because he is not taking any new patients and offered me a different doctor, which I refused. The office knew that I was a new patient from the very beginning. It was really disappointing to wait for 20 days, go through the entire process and to provide all my personnel information for them to reject me in the last minute.

I am pleased with the care I receive from the specialist I have been seeing here for the last several months. Checking in for an appointment and making a follow-up appointment at check-out are usually efficient. The patient portal is decent, but has a few annoying glitches. Until my recent experience with this office, this would have been a 4 or 5 star review. The office called me early in the morning to cancel my appointment that day because my provider was out sick. They said they would call me back once another person arrived to work for the day and they were able to determine when my doctor would be opening her schedule to accommodate the cancellations. No one called. I called 4 business days later to emphasize that I am seeing the specialist for a time-sensitive health concern and that waiting till my doctors next open appointment more than 8 weeks out is rather problematic. The woman I initially spoke to was understanding and indicated she would pass along a message to my doctors assistant, who is apparently good at returning messages. Two weeks have now passed and I have still not received a return call from the office. This is obviously not good for quality of patient care, and it makes me wonder how many other patients who were cancelled the same day as me have also had their care affected by this.

I have been going here for a number of years, and each year it has gotten worse. Today was the last straw. First, they now have free valet parking, which has taken over half of the prime parking spots. Second, they keep asking to put my credit card on file, and I keep saying no. On the phone and on the patient portal, it states that this is for new patients, and existing patients just have to pay any balance before scheduling an appointment. But every time I go, I get attitude from the front desk staff because I ask to see that policy in writing. Third, my primary care doctor never has any available appointments. Fourth, my appointment with a nurse practitioner was for 2:15 PM. After the intake person took my vitals, I waited 20 minutes before going to check to see what might be happening. A staff person said she would check and let me know. Ten minutes later, the person who checked me in came back and insisted that she told me the doctor was running late, and kept saying over and over that she told me that. No one told me that. And running late is 10-15 not 30 minutes plus. She said, you are next. Well, I waited 10 more minutes and went to check again, and was told she just went in to see a patient, Youre next. Ten more minutes of waiting, and I left. When I went to get my copay back, I was asked if I wanted to keep it for my next visit. REALLY??? My blood pressure was higher leaving than when I came. I should have gone to the ER or urgent care.

Then I go to the lab and even though I checked with RIMG to make sure my information had been sent that very morning, and was reassured it had been, nothing was there when I arrived. It took 45 minutes to get it faxed with at least 20 minutes on hold before that to get someone to help me! Their front desk is quite dismissive of patients and it takes months to get an appointment. I have an excellent doctor at this practice, but the administrative part of the group needs major improvement. I went to Quest Diagnostics for lab tests that were supposedly sent electronically to Quest. When I arrived at the lab, I was told nothing had been sent to them by this practice. I was able to get a hard copy of the order and returned to the lab. The staff at Quest said that this practice (RIMG) can’t send electronic orders because they can’t “crossover” to the Quest system. Then i am told that one of the orders is blank for a diagnosis. They said they couldn’t complete the test without the specific order code. Maybe some of this a Quest problem, but I have used them for many years without any issues. One additional minor issue is that the practice’s parking lot is almost entirely reserved for valet parking or other private businesses at their building. When I asked about that, I was told to see the valet parking attendant , who would help me find an open space. I think I could do that myself without help, provided that there were any spaces available.

I also had wonderful sleep doctor, he also does not take Medicare, so i tried the sleep center at RIMG. My first interaction with the sleep doctor was OK, but he came off as arrogant and uncaring. My second interaction with the sleep center was when my Bi Pap machine stopped working. I was told that i would need to start over with my sleep apnea diagnosis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot do without my Bi Pap for 2 or 3 months while i go thru all the hassle of proving something that I already know. Went to see Sara Brooks yesterday.Arrived a few minutes early, finished check-in and paperwork and was seated in waiting room by appointment time.Waited 15 min.was taken to exam room by nurse who ask why I was there, took blood pressure and said doc will see you shortly.30 minutes later with no further staff contact I decided to leave. As Iwas leaving the nurse was sitting at a computer in the hall outside the door.Dr.Brooks stuck her head out of a room across the hall aned said I can see yo now but I decided 45 minuted was long enough to wait and left.I had seen Dr. Brooks before and liked her but wont be going back because of the way the practice schedule is run.

This is by far the worse medical provider i ever experienced. I was seen by Dr. Mekonnen back on August 2019 for sleep apnea followed by sleep study which reveal the need for a CPAP system. I saw again dr. Mekonnen on August 28 for discussion in which he ordered the system. As of today, i call 4 times to inquire about the delay of starting the therapy as prescribed without success. Even i called the CPAP provider and Katie told me she tried to contact the clinic to request more info without success. This is incredible; the insensitivity as a medical provider is unmatched.

Dr. Cowan has great bedside manner, but she is rarely available at this location! Takes at least 3 months to see her!!! I’ve been going to her for more than 2 years! All of the 3 nurse practitioners I’ve seen were absolutely lovely!Something wonderful is their walk-in clinic hours for internal medicine (ENT related things, UTIs etc.).Cons: booking appointments/availability times, parking, front deskThrough their scheduling system, it says a returning patient with a “problem” takes about a month. For a specific need, which I have, the closest appointment is 2 months from now.Parking is crazy. Takes a couple laps around the lot during busy hours.Front desk is unprofessional. Gossiping and laughing loudly. Having a negative attitude with patients.

Big fan of my primary care physician, Dr. Khetan. Ive had mediocre patient experiences with one of their RNs but maybe got her on a bad day. Their front desk is sub par but Ive noticed improvement over the past year.

I am severely disappointed with RIMG’s communication practices. I have tried to be very explicit about asking for costs about certain procedures, as I’m on a student’s budget, but am continually brushed off. In one instance, I was explicitly told I would not be charged a copay, only to receive a bill a few days later.Additionally, if you try to contact them by phone, no one answers. You are told during the voicemail that it may take 2 full days to return your call, even if it is a simple inquiry. By the time they get back to you, your card will probably still be charged. I would never recommend this practice.

I love this place. Its a one stop shop. They have amazing facilities. IN house lab, xray and many specialists. Dr. Ziglar may be the best doctor Ive ever dealt with. I highly recommend RIMG

The medical care from this group has turned into a grocery line experience; check out and collect your money regardless if you have gotten the appropriate care. I went in for a potentially broken hand, was told to ice/compress and call back in 48 if it still bothered me. It did and the on call physician sent me for an x-ray; I was then sent home stating I would get a call in a few hours, which turned into sorry-well call you tomorrow. Everything else was me advocating for me, thank God I know an orthopedist! There was absolutely no help from the staff, I even had to provide them with all of the practice information when I asked for a referral for a orthopedic this practice works with. These, by the way, are the medical professionals with access to a medical database literally at their fingertips.

The phone system is awful. You hold forever and then get disconnected. I usually get the same excuse that they are very busy and doing the best they can. I think the doctors are great but that is if you are actually able to reach them. I called today, left a message and when I called back the person asked me who took the message. How would I possibly know that? Of course no record of my earlier phone message. If I were really ill or had a chronic illness I would be forced to find another practice that could give me better service.

Extremely long waiting time and bad phone service ....they should do something about it. The practice though is good - but the staff are not as well informed as they should be- they dont know what your copay is etc etc.

Physicians have great credentials but I seemed to only get nurse practitioners for all my appointments, which is fine, but here were time where my illness needed to be elevated to an MD and I could not get one.

Ive been a patient of RIMG for several decades and have always been pleased with the care Ive received. They are friendly quick and professional. I never hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks for a good doctor.

I give 1 star just because of my PCP( Dr heath) who is awesome and very knowledgeable, Smart and knows how to follow the scientific facts. The lab( LABCROP) is awful. If I could I would give them -10. Very impolite, careless and mean. Their system is not updated and you would never find your results through the patient portal. Some specialists have good collaboration with the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe you the Brand medications.I really miss the organized and well stablished care system in Boston. (Massachusetts General Hospital)It worth to travel there for my medical procedures.

I do agree that Dr Cowen is the best! She`s been my primary care for more than 6 years now, and she always takes time to talk about families, news since last visit...You never get the feeling that you are just a number, and that she is busy.

LOVE my doctor, HATE the phone/appointment system. Needed to change an appointment a week in advance and hung up after waiting on hold for five minutes in the future appointment option. Called back to try the urgent today or tomorrow appointment option, again hung up after five minutes.Unsatisfactory. Ive spent 10 minutes trying to be considerate and reschedule my appointment well in advance.Update:Finally got through after another long hold time.... Person on the other end of the phone was VERY, VERY rude (I didnt even mention the long wait time). You know that I must really like and trust my doctor to put up with such poor customer service.

RIMG wanted to charge all regular patients an extra $50 to cover their rising costs and parking. I complained thru their website that this extra out of pocket charge created a hardship for me, and others on fixed incomes.RIMG rescinded the charge but took retaliation against me by dropping me as a patient, without any notification. I only found out today when I followed up on a prescription I have taken for over 30 years, that the RIMG office denied my refill, again without any notice, leaving me without my required medication. Doctor retaliation against their patients by withholding/denying access to needed medications goes beyond and defies the oath they take to treat patients.

If you dont want to deal with unhelpful staff and unnecessary hurdles to getting medical care, stay away! I went in for an appointment yesterday and was prescribed medication. Over 24 hours later and 3 calls into the practice, the medication still has not been sent to my pharmacy and they could not tell me when it would be sent. At every other practice Ive been to, this would be done while youre still in the office rather than dragging on!

I have seen 4 doctors at RIMG for fibromyalgia. They do not know the latest studies on fibromyalgia and claim to want to start a fibro clinic. If you have fibro understand the rheumatologist thinks it doesnt exist and it is because we are fat.Lori Shell- nutritionist, She told me no one gives individualized food plans, gave me prints from The Diabetic Handbook. When I brought up my concerns was condescending.N. Martin, pain doctor, spent an hour asking me questions, seemed to have only written down opposite answers. When I asked for no narcotics put me on them and spent a week telling me I said things I never said by email.Would not talk to me on phone.L. Simchowitz, rheumatologist who kept saying in a year youll be a new woman... Started out great but ran out of ideas, would not listen to my suggestions for fibromyalgia, and couldnt even remember what drugs he put me on. Sent me to pain management instead of still looking for causes or new fibro drugs. Kept telling me if I just lost weight... I was skinny when fibro started... oh, and thought I could cut cymbalta cold turkey.Sleep Doctor, good but day staff at sleep clinic rude in fitting masks

If you have to actually take time off from work to come here, dont bother. The two things that really struck me are1. The person who called out my name to call me back to the exam room literally power walked the whole way. Like she was also taking the opportunity to get some intense exercise. I called out that I couldnt keep up and she said just try your best. Once we got to the room she introduced herself as Dr. Delistathis. What?2. If youre a new patient, the first appointment is for data collection purposes only. You have to come back to get a physical. What?
