I was very pleased with my experience with Dr.Rhee. Felt that I got the best possible treatment. Dr.Rhee helped us in making a right decision at right time. I cannot imagine where I would have ended up if I have not met him. He was very skillful in making the surgical incision which eventually will not be noticeable. He gave me all the confidence needed before the surgery and post surgery. He was available on call at all the times as and when needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rhee.

I met Dr. Rhee after dealing with mis-diagnosis from other doctors for over a year in which my lower extremity weakness had gotten progressively worse. However, as soon as I met Dr. Rhee and he saw my MRI, he described the problem and promptly scheduled my surgery. I appreciated Dr. Rhee’s ability to assess my issue promptly, which saved my life. His honesty, knowledge and compassion before, during and after my surgery has been extremely helpful in regaining my independence in walking. He is a highly recommended professional!

Hes friendly, informative, and a commensurate professional within his field. Dr. Rhee has both performed, consulted, and referred me on a number of ailments from an s1-L5 fusion, to addressing spinal stenosis concerns, to planning and preparing for both future victories and challenges alike. I cannot speak highly enough about not only Dr. Rhees technical prowess, but his sincerity, integrity, and care for his patients. Ive seldom if ever encountered a general practitioner, let alone surgeon of his caliber who puts his patients first, second, and third. We are grateful and thankful to have Dr. Rhee looking over us!

Dr. Rhee, although every day, I thank God for you and reflect on you as an amazing clinician AND an amazing, compassionate man -- I could not go another day without writing a review and hopefully helping someone else! I was a healthy woman-- wife, mother of 4 and professional that was always focused on living life with the utmost attention to diet, exercise and doing the right things! In May 2018 (6 months ago), all of a sudden, my lower extremities were severely compromised, leaving me with an inability to walk! I had no idea what was happening! I had an MRI, which turned my world upside down! I was diagnosed with a severe herniated disc, impacting the nerves in my spinal cord-- leading to a ‘must’ have cervical fusion surgery. I was whisked into Suburban hospital, needing the attention of a neurosurgeon. A neurosurgeon? A medical specialist, that I never dreamed of ever ever encountering. When, Dr. Rhee, (John Hopkins neurosurgeon), entered the room, there stood this ‘gentle’ man that looked at me with concern and compassion. Dr. Rhee, then, began to speak with warmth but profound intelligence, experience and medical confidence on the proper clinical path. Although professionally and academically brilliant, he was a doctor that never loss sight of a patient that was thrust into an unexpected unknown phenomena. His patience was unmatched, answering a multitude of questions then and throughout! The surgery was very successful, the healing process amazing! Dr. Rhee, you are a doctor that has taken to heart, the medical oath – although, this oath was already inherent in you as a person. The medical world, stands fortunate to have you as a colleague and patients would be fortunate to have you as their doctor. I will never forget you taking this journey with me-- restoring quality of life for me, and in turn my husband and my children/family. If there were a way to rate you beyond a 10, I would! Dr. Jay Rhee, my HAT Goes OFF TO YOU! You are the best neurosurgeon, anyone would want!!

Dr. Rhee is an uncaring and aloof medical “professional” who can’t be bothered with a patients well being. I have documented writing from Suburban Hospital and later while at Shady Groove where Mr. Rhee ignored phone calls after phone calls from my Dad’s attending Doctor. All of this is formally documented. We will be pursuing Mr. Rhee through Suburban Hospital and presenting the bad “Doctor” lack of care to the Suburban board. Run. Don’t walk if Dr.Rhee is assigned to a loved one. He is not worthy of his title as a Dr.
