The owner, Sagi did such an amazing job. He was extremely knowledgeable and not only did he achieve exactly what I wanted, but he basically did an entire color correction which made me feel so much better about my upcoming wedding photos. To say I am pleased is an understatement. He exceeded my expectations and I can confidently say I found my new hair colorist/stylist from here on out!

I visited Oxygen for the first time yesterday, because my long time stylist, Russel, is working there now, and I followed him from Georgetown. It was an excellent experience! Check-in was friendly and efficient, the appointment started precisely on time, shampoo service (and scalp massage very relaxing) and of course Russel gave me my usual… a perfect cut. The atmosphere of the salon is classy and hip, without being pretentious. Everyone was friendly and the folks working seem to be having an genuinely good time being there and with their clients. A really upbeat and positive vibe. I look forward to being back next month!

Russell is a great artist just like Picasso. He took his time and gave me a sculpted hair cut. One if the best I have ever received. Try Russell, he is the best.I always feel welcome when greeted by Herod. He is a most caring individual.Oxygen is the best Salon in town. This is my second time coming to Oxygen this year to have my hair colored by Kristina. For someone as picky as I am she made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. And my color looks great again. The salon is also beautiful and clean. The shampoo assistance are also very good. I am someone who does not enjoy having others handle her hair and that includes washing, but I did enjoy that part of the process as well, both times.

Came in this morning for a big Chop (like 8-10 inches I think) after not cutting my hair for 3/4 years. I left feeling so confident and beautiful with this new hairstyle. The stylists are so friendly and professional and created the exact hair style I wanted to suit my face. The person at the front desk (who’s name I cannot remember with the amazing hair) is seriously the best, sweetest, and confidence person I’ve ever met!! Oxygen staff are amazing and highly highly recommend ! Seriously everyone should go here!!!

I like the salon, great location, friendly staff. The stylist was ok. I was able to get a last minute appointment to get my haircut. Unfortunately, the price that I was told on the phone was different than what they were trying to charge me when I was checking out.I asked what the price would be because I was simply running in to get a quick haircut (no style or blow drying needed). The receptionist told me one price of $70 and then it was $90 when I was checking out. I told them that was not the price I was given and the receptionist that was checking me out said they never give pricing because it’s different per stylist. The original receptionist that answered the phone never mentioned that when I asked.I would possibly go back, however, I would encourage them to inform their customers (especially new customers) exactly how their pricing works so we don’t fee mislead.

I love this salon. Have been coming to Becky for 20+ years. She is the best. The front desk is always helpful, shampoo ladies excellent and all operators do great work. Would not go anywhere else.

I had such a fantastic time at this salon. Maria, who washed my hair was so gentle and relaxing. Gloria, the hairdresser was also amazing. She was very professional and kept apologizing for running late when she really was not. I had an awesome time and was so very happy with the results. I’m so glad I trusted Gloria to cut and style my hair. We also had an amazing conversation. Would 100% recommend.

Dana was extremely attentive to my wishes regarding my highlights enhancing my hair, but that they appear naturally in my color.Mirellis is kind and extremely attentive to a cliebt’s wishes regarding water temp & neck comfort while experiencing washing& processing.

This was my first visit since COVID shut things down. The salon was clean and not crowded. I felt very comfortable. And I got a great haircut, as usual, from Barbara. She is the best!

Great experience getting the short haircut I wanted. Naz was very quick to understand exactly what I wanted, she expertly crafted a semi textured short-short pixie. The shampoo person was excellent, front staff efficient and welcoming.

I got a good cut but the highlights were very expensive. They charged me $200 for partial highlights, the haircut was an additional $90. This was significantly more than the prices they quoted me over the phone. $200 for basic foil highlights, nothing fancy. I will probably not go back even though I liked my stylist.

Had an awesome experience as always. Liz did Keratin, color and hair cut. Shes great - doesnt cut any corners and my hair always looks fantastic. You might be able to get this done somewhere else cheaper but theres NO WAY it could be done better.

I made an appointment with Gloria for consultation before getting my highlights done. Despite of asking for an expert stylist at the time of making appointment over the phone, they referred me to her!!!!!!!!!! She was so lost! She had no clue about hair color correction and asked other coworker ( Naz) to come and help her to get to a conclusion! Naz was one of the most unprofessional stylists I had ever talked to! Instead of offering the best solution for correcting my hair color, was lecturing me that what should be more important than my hair color to me and how should I think!!!! It was just wasting time! I never go back !

I have been following Gloria since she was at her previous salon. She is amazing! Not only is she amazing but the staff here is so nice and professional. Gloria is very straightforward with my expectations versus reality. She lets me know when I want to go too light or when she thinks there is a better way to go about things. She knows what she is doing and I completely trust her with my hair, which is very hard to come by. Her balayage is always on point. Even when I decided to go extremely light on my own and completely butcher my hair, Gloria came to my rescue! My hair has been in great hands for over 2 years and I will continue to go to her.She also did my hair before my law school graduation and holiday party. It was a big hit! Recently, I took my mother to Gloria as well. She cut her hair and did highlights and loved it! I would 200% recommend Gloria to anyone looking for someone new to trust that will leave their hair looking flawless.The pictures here are from two different appointments. The one without the face mask is from the time she came in like a savior to save my hair and the one with the mask was one week ago. She is always amazing! Trust her with your hair.

My girlfriend gifted me a gift card for a 90 minute massage for Christmas. I scheduled a few days in advance and Umi was my massage therapist. My experience was absolutely incredible. I could tell that she knew exactly what she was doing as I have a knee and neck issue and she didn’t just avoid those areas - she was precise and took care of them. This was the best massage I have ever had and I can’t wait to get another.

I did everything I was not supposed to do: I watched a YouTube video on how to cut layers, suddenly thought I was a stylist, and cut my 8-year-old daughters hair. She ended up looking like a cracked out Marcia Brady. I called the salon the next day and they got me in at lunchtime. We were paired up with Lynn and I could not be happier. Not only was she sweet, funny and personable, but she made her hair EXACTLY what I had been aiming for. I am so glad I took my daughter here. On top of that, the front office person was so sweet (and lets face it - puts runway models to shame!). Thank you for making my daughter decide to put away those emancipation papers and putting a smile on her face.Moral of the story:DO NOT cut your own hair and GO SEE LYNN!

I have avoided getting out since February and just let my hair grow till September. I finally went in and was so impressed with the many safety protocols that were sensible and easy. I had a wonderful, relaxing experience and felt very safe and well taken care of. I am so happy and thankful for their thoughtful care!

First time my appointment got cancelled and nobody called me so showed up and told on the spot the stylist quit. Sometimes this happen so no big deal. Second time showed up at 1 and waited until 148 and stylist still not done with another client. Does not really respect other people’s time. So will not come back to this place ever again

I finally had time to go back to my favorite salon. The people are great, and Liz is wonderful for my straight hair! They salon was very clean and careful about social distancing. Definitely recommend! I did not worry at all about anything while I was there. They are very careful about following all the guidelines, above and beyond minimum requirements. Definitely recommend!

DONT go there unless you want to get your hair destroyed. my hair went from pictures 1 & 2 to 3, 4, 5. I was getting a retouch for my balayage (basically getting the tips blonder, NOT my roots white and the tips black.) not only did they make my hair horrible, but they also damaged really badly it broke out.

I got my Keratin treatment (express) from Gloria. She had told me that it would last at least 8 weeks but the treatment didn’t even last a week. I bought shampoo and conditioner from them and followed the process that she told me. This was my first visit and after going through the reviews I was under the impression that they’d do their best! Highly disappointed with the quality of treatment!Update: I really appreciate Gloria for following up and doing the treatment again. The texture of my hair is smoother than the last treatment which had no effect.She also gave honest opinions about different treatments and I would definitely trust her with my hair going forward.

I went to this salon in January after graduating from UMD and right before starting a new job. I was excited to get a balayage with mahogany highlights on my dark brown hair and paid $200 for this procedure. This picture was taken the day after my balayage was done and most streaks look orange/yellow even after I explained that I did not want much bleach to be used. Now, 4 months later, the orange color persists. This part in particular still looks horrible and can be seen from a mile away. Before quarantine, I requested appointments to get a dark color deposited, but they postponed my appointment time 3 times before closing the salon permanently due to COVID and cancelling my appointment completely. For the past 3 months Gloria has not reached out regarding rescheduling after salon reopening since she promised me a complementary coloring due to overly-bleaching my hair the first time. I will probably go to another salon to get my hair darkened back to its dark brown hue after living with orange highlights/balayage for the majority of 2020.

Hared & Sue are very courteous & professional, they always do their best to accommodate me. And let’s not forget Maria, she is simply wonderful. Overall, I am a very happy client & will recommend Oxygen Hair Salon to everyone.

I’ve been getting my hair done at this salon for the past year and I love it. I found it through looking at reviews and did not know any of the stylists. I had had a bad color experience at another salon across the street and needed someone with expertise in repairing such mishaps. I totally lucked out in getting Naz!! She’s highly skilled at both cutting and coloring and is creative as well. My natural hair color is light-to-medium brown (with probably a good dose of gray at this point!) but I’ve always wanted platinum blond. The salon across Halpine gave me orange hair in response to my request for ash blond, and it was a mess when I showed up at Oxygen. Naz was able to make my color presentable and gave me a great cut also. I have short hair and she’s really adept at doing short cuts that are interesting and personalized. After that initial repair of my color, she was able to transition me into a beautiful platinum blonde color. Every time! She’s an awesome stylist and also just a lovely person. SO glad I found her! I also must give a shout out to Morales and Herrod, who both are extremely knowledgeable, competent, and welcoming!👏🏼👏🏼💜💙💕💕

I am not one who easily goes out of my house without either a reason or feeling safe. Oxygen has taken every precaution to ensure that their clients feel safe. Oxygen texts before you can enter their space. There’s plexiglass in place, limited hairdressers, and masks are required. Becky is a professional and gives the best haircuts and color. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I went in today for a hair cut and color and color. I showed the woman a style that i wanted and explain to her what color I wanted but the end results were terrible i even started to cry. Thank you to the other lady who was so kind to fix my hair. I walked out so disappointed since i live near the saloon and thought this could be my hair spa sorry i won’t return

Herrod manages this place with precision(and what a mane! ). Anyway, every stylist I have seen here(4) is quite adept. They have a great sense of customer service down to the hair wash(my favorite part). Parking is easy. Cost is reasonable, especially for the service. They are all quite experienced.

Seven is the only person I trust to color my hair. I am extremely particular about my hair, especially when it comes to the color. I’ve worked with so many hair stylists, even the really popular ones from D.C. to California. Everyone who has done my hair in the past has told me how difficult it is to manage because I have so much hair and it’s dark and coarse. Seven is the only one who’s gotten me to an ashy, light grey/blonde. Not only is her coloring (and cutting) skills amazing but my hair never felt as healthy. She’s a perfectionist, and at the forefront of her line of work.
