I walked In for a basic hair treatment under my brother’s recommendation, which I was told to be done in 30 mins to an hour, but both of the staffs were busy and wasn’t able to get it done on time.It took 2 hours for me to get out of the salon, but the owner knows never leave a customer unsatisfied. She made sure I got special treatment at the end, she personally styled my hair into the latest style, I left the place satisfied.So , overall, it was a pleasant experience, highly recommended that you call in advance and book your appointment!Definitely coming back soon again!

This is my first time here to color my hair. They have good reviews so that I trusted them so much! I told them I want dark brown and my hair is black. They made my hair orange first then black in the end….After 2 hours waiting, I got orange hair… I expressed my dissatisfaction and the owner said she can try to fix it. After applying the colors another 3-4 times and waiting for 4 hours, I got my black hair back … and they charged me 150$. It was 11pm and I didn’t want to do anything else but go home so that I did not argue with them.However, I want to leave my review as I am not satisfied at all. I spent 6hours there and missed a party and paid 150 to make my black hair to be black and my families can’t tell the difference at all!I do not want them to fix it anymore as I don’t think they can do it. Don’t know why they got so many good reviews. Doesn’t make sense.

I have been doing hair in this shop for three years. From their opening in 2018 to now, I and my family will be very relieved to give them their hair. They are very professional and treat every guest very seriously. She listens to customers requests and gives professional advice, especially Mika, who treats us like a family, even if we change our appointments for personal reasons, she adjusts her schedule for us. His patience and enthusiasm impressed me and my family, the great designers best friend.

I am very satisfied with the service I received by Mika! She’s extremely talented and she knows what she’s doing. My hair is naturally dark, thick, and very stubborn when it comes to lightening it. When I went in I had highlights but they were brassy and grown out. Mika totally transformed my hair and look. I now have ash toned highlights. She’s extremely meticulous in her coloring technique. She worked on my hair all day to achieve this look. I’m very happy with the results! I’ll be going back to Mika for all my hair needs.

I’m so happy I’ve met Mika as my hairstylist, she is the truly best.I have a lot of hair, as in my usual haircuts take about 3 hours on average which I dread. But Mika remembered my personal hair needs and went above and beyond. Because of how professional and personal she is, this time my haircut took only an hour!! — A miracle for my hair.Mika also actively engages me in the process to understand my preferences, then patiently explains and provides different options for me to try. This time we tried a different layering technique. My head feels a lot lighter, but my hair looks fuller and more lively than before (the difference was light and day after she did one side; the other side looked so dull and heavy).I love that she not only saved me time, but also exposed me to new styles that suit me perfectly. The hair salon is very clean. Parking is available on site. There are massage chairs for hair washing station, so you can enjoy the massage while getting your hair clean. Mika takes her time to do her cutting and styling and makes sure she delivers the best result. I like her service. Highly recommended.

I went to in style hair salon to color my hair 2 weeks ago. Mika is the best!!! I been living in Seattle for over 6years. When I moved to Rockville. I was so frustrating about my hair. Until my boyfriend recommended Mika to me. She is the greatest people in the world! I got what I expected. So do my boyfriend. In addition, My boyfriend has his hair cut by Mika for 3 years!! My experience with this salon was great! I felt welcomed and taken cared off in terms of what I wanted, which was dying my hair. I have had my hair cut here and Mika is an amazing hair dresser. However, this comment is regarding my bridal makeup experience with her. Long story short, during my trial, she applied lash extension glue on my eyelids for false lashes. This kind of glue should NEVER be put on the eyelids and is definitely not designed for general false lashes. After going home, I had a traumatic experience removing the false lashes. I tried EVERYTHING including using rubbing alcohol on my eye lids. Many lashes fell out and I still had a chunk of glue on my left eyelid after 8+ hours of trying. Eventually, Mika referred me to a different salon in the area to take care of the glue/lashes because she was too busy to do it herself. In that salon, THREE ladies came in to help me but none of them were able to successfully remove the dry glue on my eyelid. Eventually, they had to yank it off along with my lashes.After what happened, I communicated with Mika to let her know that I did not feel comfortable having her as my makeup artist anymore. She was understanding and returned the fee for the trial. However, my deposit was never returned even though I followed the contract and canceled the service more than 60 days prior. She initially told me that she needed to discuss it with her boss but her boss was in China and he could not take care of this. Even though I was questioning this since people take care of business online now, I patiently waited. It has been a few months and I still have not heard an answer.A few side notes: before Mika even applied the glue on my eyelids, I asked her if the glue can be removed easily, and she told me that hot water would be fine. When that didn’t work, she suggested oil. It was until the next day when she finally told me that I would need a special remover, and that I should have it done by a professional because of how strong it was. There was a clear lack of knowledge/expertise in this area, and pretty irresponsible of her to use an adhesive product on a customer’s eyelid without understanding it.** Follow up: After posting my experience, Mika quickly contacted me and let me know that the boss was back and agreeable to refund my deposit. My deposit was received within a week.

There is a review here that is 3 months old. But the salon opened only last week. I walked in the salon last week and asked the price for hair curling. I was told it was $15. I made an appointment and when I called to confirm the appointment I was told the price would be between $20-$25. I had a 11 am appointment and was at the salon at 11 am and it was locked. At 11:05 I called them, the person said they were running late and will be there in 3 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes and no one showed up and called again. The person said their car had been hit by another car and asked me to wait for another 15 minutes. At this point, I decided this was not going to work as I had to get to an event on time. I went to a local hair cuttery and they did a great job with my hair.

I absolutely love Mika! She has been my hair stylist for over 5 years. Her new place is clean, bright, and very welcoming. I loved the massage chairs that I sat in to get my hair washed.Mika is so kind and friendly, she always helps me figure out what I want done with my hair. She consistently checks in with me during my hair cut to make sure that she is cutting or styling my hair the way I want it. I have never left feeling less than ecstatic with my hair style.I highly recommend Mika to everyone!

Ive been a customer of the owner for over 2 years, but she recently opened this location just last week (this is her first self-owned store). As such, there is a bit of bias towards the owner herself as she has never let me leave unsatisfied with my hair style and is just super friendly.That being said, this new location offers shampoo and head massages as a separate service if you so choose and the employee who does them did well enough with me that I was ready to fall asleep. Price wise, for a guy, the haircut is ~$30. Im unsure of the additional pricing outside of that, unfortunately. If I get the chance to see their pricing menu, Id gladly take a picture and post it here.Parking is readily available, although I did go on a Wednesday afternoon, and if you set up an appointment, you wont have to wait long. And if you do have to wait awhile, theres plenty of food right in that area.

Hello, I would like to ask why the bangs cut by Mika should be long in the middle and short on the back. The outer half of the hair is only half of the inner hair so that the hair is completely broken after blowing. After waiting for three months, the hair on the outside has not grown to shoulder length. It is completely impossible to cut it again and can only cut it short or wait for it to grow longer. I just went to the fog today and finished repairing, finally I can see people! In addition, on the day I went to cut three or four months ago, the boss didn’t mean to have malicious negative reviews, but was simply angry because of the ugly cut. Today, it was finally fixed in another store. I hope the boss and Mika will talk about trying to improve the level and aesthetics. Don’t let other customers spend money and feel uncomfortable for half a year~
