This place is amazing!! I go to Dana for a wax. Let me just say Im so glad she was the first person I ever went to when I got a wax my first time. I have never found anyone else who does as good of a job and make me as comfortable. She tells you everything she is doing, has hot stones and a modesty blanket for extra comfort. Unfortunately, I moved to Arizona and cant find anyone who even comes close. When I come back to NV to visit this summer I have already booked my appointment with Dana.

This is a quaint, eccentric and bohemian vibe salon. Immediately you are met with positive vibes. The staff here are kind and thoughtful. Today was simply INCREDIBLE!!! I called Healing Wisdom panicking, since my stylist canceled on me last minute and my roots were simply unbearable! A very compassionate woman, who I later discovered was the receptionist, patiently listened to what I needed done and she was so sweet, professional and took my information and said, Please let me see what I can do..and keep your phone by you! The receptionist called me back within 20 minutes and told me the owner would come in at 4:30 (on her day off) to do a partial weave!!! Jackpot! Tamara, thank you for your expertise and time today! My hair is now healthy and radiant!! To the most accommodating receptionist, thank you for going out of your way to get me a same day appointment!So in essence, Healing Wisdom was an OVER THE TOP experience that provided professionalism, diligence, compassion and frankly, I havent experienced this type of service in Reno- ever! My daughter and I stayed in Reno during our ski-visit to Tahoe area. For the long time I have not been happy with the way my stylist in Bay Area styled my hair and I complain to my friend who lives in Reno. She highly recommended Healing Wizdom Salon and on her advise I decided to give them a try. I called Healing Wizdom and was happy to hear that both of us can get our hair done by the owner of business, Tamara!I was impressed how Tamara listen to our needs and advised both of us on totally new look. My hair is very fine and thin. Tamara made my brown colored hair much softer and gave it more natural looking. I was impressed with her deep point texturizing technique that gave my hair much more play and interest. She also gave me a few tips on how to style it to make my face look flatter and recommended products that I can use for easy managementMy daughters thick wavy hair Tamara reshaped and colored to accent her face. This is my hair salon. I will go no where else. My girl is Shirley Love. She will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with your hair color and or hair cut. She is only working about 3 or 4 days a week, so if you want to go with her just call and they will make an appointment for you. There are other ladies their, but I dont know their work, but they have been there for a long time, so I think that they all must be good. They also do nails their.

Tamara has been styling my hair for many years. I have long hair with lots of layers and colors, what she does is complicated and comes out beautifully every time! She also waxes my eyebrows, the shape and technique she uses is flawless. I have dark eyebrows with many baby fine hairs and she cleans them all up leaving only a beautifully shaped brow. I am constantly receiving compliments on my hair and I regularly hand out Tamaras card. Beyond her talent as a hairstylist she has a beautiful spirit and I deeply enjoy the time we spend together. Ive been having my hair cut and colored at Healing Wisdom for about two years now. The color work is the best I have ever had and Ive been having color for twenty years. The cut by Tamara is simply a cut above and its other peoples unsolicited positive comments about my hair that affirm what I believe. Every cut is finished with a double check and a very soothing shoulder massage.Recently Ive also started getting regular massages there and the therapist, Nancy, always seems to know precisely what I need and where the issue of the day is.Appointments are easy, no hassle and everyone there make the experience worth going back for time and time again.

Out of the other massage/salon, Go Here! I just purchased a 35 minute massage and it is amazing. The feel of this place is very inviting. I felt comfortable discussing my problems and the therapist executed the massage in my problematic areas. She also helped release tense muscles from my entire upper body. The price is extremely reasonable, especially for what you get in return. I thanked her a million times, it felt like. But seriously. You will not be disappointed. Priscilla and Mary are amazing. I will absolutely go back, and I recommend this to anyone looking for a massage. They can even work on the husbands sore back while my wife gets a pedi, mani or haircut. Excellent service and friendly environment.

I went in to healing wisdom for a massage and a hair cut and It’s the best service I’ve had in a very long time! I had a massage with Prisilla who was intentive, applied the perfect amount of pressure and relieved much of my tension. I just had the most amazing and fabulous facial at Healing Wizdom from Bryna. Really ,she made me look better. Its incredible how a relaxed face improves your appearance. I usually sit to have a facial but Bryna has you lying on your back so she has access to your neck and shoulders. She is just the best at getting your head to relax---tension, headaches gone. I want to go back!

Set up an appointment for a mother/daughter day. Very professional and sweet ladies. They served us hot cider while we waited and hot tea after. Will definitely going back! My shoulder was really sore and aching down deep. They made it go away for a short while, even to get a couple of days relief from it was amazing.

Today I had my second massage with Dori and felt compelled to write a review. I recently moved here from a big city and am used to having a large pool of talent in all areas including massage therapy. Dori is an exceptional masseuse. I came to Carson City two days ago. While I went to Reno to do some stuff I found this salon online. I went to this salon for facial waxing and eyebrow. The girl at reception is really nice to customers. While I was waiting she offered me a great blend of herbal tea. The lady (Brya) who did my face and eyebrow did a great job. She used soothig lotions and damp hot towels on my face. I highly recommend it

Shirley Love has been my very best friend of 25 years & works here at healing Wisdom. So occasionally its a complete curse being such an INCREDIBLY TALENTED hair stylist and having such a hillbilly (me) for a friend. A little background.. I live in central California, in the sticks. Hairstylists are few and far between. So I have been coloring my own hair for many years much to Shirleys dismay, and not just any color but black. As anyone whos ever had dyed bottle black hair for 20 years knows that is NOT easy to remove. But I attempted to remove the black alone, and in doing so I completely fried my hair! I did such a number on my hair that NO OTHER hair dresser would touch it. So I called up my bestie and begged her to attempt to fix my French fried hair of many colors.... Then hopped in the car and drove six hours praying for a miracle. Well I sat down in the chair and the horror on her face, was a bit hilarious. But as all true besties do she grabbed her scissors and her color brush said a prayer and got busy. 4 hours later my hair is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I went from my hair looking like a bad Halloween decoration, to Magazine cover beautiful. Shirley really is a hair magician, and I have been blessed to be her Bestie for 25 years. This salon is exactly what I needed to experience my first Brazilian! I am from out of town and am getting married in Tahoe and decided to try out this salon because of the reviews. I was a little hesitant but once I walked in and was greeted by a few sweet ladies I was at ease. Jorda was amazing! She really took her time and went through all of the steps with me. I really couldnt have asked for a better first time. Thank you Jorda!

Didnt even get in the door. Called to find if I could get in for a quick massage. Girl on the phone was very brisk and kept talking over me and sounded very inconvenienced when I made her STOP and clarify whether they has masseuses, or licence massage therapists/practitioner (LMP/T). No, I didnt make it through school but when I was in massage school it was a sore point to be called a masseuse. An LMP is a medical professional. A masseuse did not necessarily have a degree in massage and could be the type of worker to offer happy endings. HUGE difference and I was looking for the former rather than the latter. Girl scoffed at me and was very dismissive and rushed me off the phone as fast as she could. Not somewhere Ill give a second chance.

I have been going to Healing Wizdom for over 3 years now (starting at their old location - be sure to look it up for other reviews). Let me say how much I really love the new location. Its convenient and easy to get to, and the space is absolutely gorgeous!Previously, I was going to another salon for my Brazilian, but felt very unsatisfied with the service. A good friend recommended Tamara to me specifically. I did some research before booking my first appointment, and found that her reviews were amazing, and at the time I didnt realize she was the actual owner.Besides simply being the best at what she does, Tamara and I have become good friends. Kindred spirits as it were. She and her staff treat me like family. I love going there for my appointment and getting a chance to see everyone and talk to them.Now service wise, as I already mentioned, Tamara is the best. She does her speed Brazilian for me, along with a waxing of my eyebrows and lip. My previous experience always seemed awkward, with the technician making me hold my skin tight for her while she waxed and she barely spoke. Not that I need to be best buddies with the woman giving me a Brazilian, but it certainly helps if that person acts like Im a valued customer and they care about the service she is giving me. As it was my first time ever getting Brazilians, it took a few appointments before I realized I wanted something more. Tamara has shown me what true service means and I will never accept anything less.It may seem strange to say, but I look forward to my waxing appointments. Tamara provides me with warm stones to hold or place on my stomach, along with a relaxing, heated pad. The music is always soothing, and I always enjoy our conversations while she works. In all honesty, I leave there feeling as relaxed as I have from a massage. I always feel like my mind, body, and soul have been refreshed. I feel pampered.
