He always listens he’s a doctor b patient he has lots of people to take care of I love this doctor he’s awesome for my mom n brother

I received a list of mental health doctors that accept my insurance from my insurance provider. I booked an appointment with David Desai a month out and provided my insurance information upon scheduling. On the day of my appointment, he called me and stated that his office needed my insurance information again and that he would call me back in 15-20 minutes. I provided my information and waited 45 minutes to call and check to see what was going on. I was told that they would contact the doctor and he would get back to me. I called again 30 minutes after that and was told that he left his office for the day and they could put me on a list for the following morning. I had someone come to my house to watch my children in order to be able to take this appointment and waited over an hour and a half after my appointment time to be told, “sorry, he went home.” Then, to make matters worse, someone from his office called me later to say that they “looked online” and my insurance doesn’t cover mental health. I am absolutely appalled. Never in my life have I been stood up on a doctors appointment. Completely unprofessional and ridiculous. The level of disorganization and lack of communication amongst the employees is astonishing as well.

Great doctor who listens and actually pays attention to my chart and knows my past very well and doesnt forget.

My entire family has been with Dr Desai for years and he has been the best so far. He does listen and adjusts as needed. If something doesnt feel right he will fix it.

I think this doctor is a very good doctor. I think because of all this virus miscommunication and because of the place that he worked at. Inland psychiatric, was a horrible place it was a horrible time for everyone. Were not perfect yes doctors do make mistakes as well thats why theyre practicing give him a chance Im glad that he has his own office and that he can do it in his own right now lets see how he does. Cant wait to see you in person again dr. Desai!

My grandma ended up in thw emergency room due to his care. He simply over-medicates his patience, and never bothers to find the real cause or safe treatment. RUN FROM THIS FRAUD!!

Maybe it is about time for this doctor to look in the mirror to realize that he needs counseling for himself or will his arrogance only reinforce his sense of superiority. This could be a good thing, he refuses to see me because I do not stroke his egotism. It only makes me wonder who is the sickest person at the appointment. I know I am sick, that is why i am there to begin with, what is his excuse for his pretensions attitude? Now I feel blessed, with him refusing to see me, pushing me to find a better doctor that has compassion, for my disease.

If I could give his man 0 or negative stars I would. My husband has been suffering with mental problems for several years now but was recently diagnosed. This doctor not only DID NOT listen but was accusing my husband of lying after just 2 minutes in his office. His patients are only with him about 5 minutes at the most. He clearly only cares about money not his patients. If you are looking for someone who truly cares and wants to help DONT GO WITH THIS GUY UNLESS YOU ONLY WANT A REFILL. Judging by my own experience and the reviews here, hes not only unprofessional but HEARTLESS, DONT know how he still has a license.

Dr. Desai is truly an amazing psychiatrist and honestly cares about the well being of his patients. He always knows the right questions to ask and is also great listener. He’s not a physician that simply increases your dosage each visit, he customizes your health plan and finds the perfect alternative or solution for you.

If you are looking for any level of interest in your health, do not look here. Appointments are short and rushed, and Dr. Desai expresses the empathy and concern of a wooden table.If Dr. Desai or his office ever does something wrong, do not expect an apology or any level of accountability.

This stupid idiot is taking me off a medication that works with no side effects; and throwing me on two other medications.Find a doctor that was taught in America. Sick of all these Indian retards.

The appointments are very short.New patient for 7minutes.I think if u go to a psichatrist u expect them to spend time with u specially when its about a young adult.He is very unprofessional. Prescribed medicine like candies.He should take more seriously his job specially for 250$ a consultation.Very unhappy with his services

Absolutely disgusting behaviour! I cant believe a doctor like him exists.

I’ve been on an anti-depressant for 4 years now, and at the advice of a separate specialist, I asked Dr. Desai what my best strategy was to begin weaning off my medication. He assured me that I was on a low dose of this medication and that I can quit cold turkey if I wanted to. I was concerned with this and asked him if this was the best method and again, he told me it would be okay to completely stop this medication. Here I am almost a week later having severe discontinuation symptoms. I spoke with my pharmacist and he advised a REAL strategy to wean off these meds. I will never book an appointment with Dr. Desai again after this egregious error in advising his patient.

I’ve never had a problem with this office. Staff is nice and the appointments are quick.

He seriously is the worst... he has made it absolutely ridiculous function within an office. I live pretty far and he refuses to accommodate for his patience. He has no love or care, extremely racist for any other than his own! I decided to change locations to see Dr. Kohut, who is amazing!!!! Then a year later Dr. Desai buys out his business, this guys is like a poisoned nightmare and I discourage anyone from being seen by him unless you just want pill shoved in your face. Honestly that is all he is good for... waist of space and dna.

This was by far the worst experience I ever had with a psychiatrist ever in my life. Dr. Desai is a rude and disrespectful man. All he does is prescribe medication and wont even bother to talk about what hes prescribing. The visits are short and rushed. He doesnt listen or care about anything you have to say. When I tried to talk to him about an off work note that I needed, he got so upset! He said he didnt belive in taking time off from work, since he has never called in sick. He said having depression, anxiety, insomnia and ptsd are not a good enough reason. Wow! And this is someone who supposedly treats mental health! Than he raised his voice at me. I had to ask him twice to lower his voice. It was so embarrassing and humiliating for me when I walked out of his office and saw everyone quietly staring at me because they could hear everything the doctor was saying, since he was speaking so loud. I am never going back to this doctor and my advice to anyone is to stay away from that place.

He knows nothing about his patients and never listens to what is being said to him. Just renews prescriptions and sends you on your way

Constantly forgets to authorize refills and Im left without medication.

Dr. Desai is a good Dr. I have been going to this DR. for a little over a year and have had zero problems, it’s obvious from the reviews below (one of which is racist) that these are people upset they didn’t get the pills they wanted from the Dr. Well Dr. Desai is the medical Dr. & we aren’t It’s his job to decide what we should take and worry about addiction if he didn’t he would be a bad Dr.

This so called doctor just cares about getting paid and dispensing medication...worthless!
