Getting ready for trout season ...it has been very crowded this year recommend reservations well in advance if you want a good spot on the lake...

Staff were friendly especially the nice lady in the store . But we Got off to a slow start and thought we were going to skunk out. But my son had a decent size Bass. And I got got 2 catfish that were decent size. On the downside they could take a little better care of the place lots of trash porta potties out by the lake were disgusting

Finally got our membership and got to celebrate 4th of july and Zachs birthday with some wonderful friends

I always come to fish this place but yesterday was so bad the water was dirty so much brush cost went up to fish one lake only the other lake in the middle was almost dry. If you just want to chill its ok but not to call it fishing very disappointed in the way the park is now ran sad.

Ive been fishing here for over 30 years and its nothing like it use to be.. Im sure they probably keep the members lake full of fish and full of water. There are way to many people for the big lake not to be filled with water. Its way to shallow and to far out where it get deeper. Come on for 18 bucks a pop everyone should get a fair chance at the fish.

Always a great day of fishing here at F.R. especially for them trout.Always a fun and relaxing everytime. Personnel is great especially, Scott at the gate.

Its a nice place to fish even though it gets very crowded. If the bathroom situation was better Id give a higher eating

Cool spot for rv/camping ,fishing hasnt been too good here recently due to the alage growth makes it very difficult but usually stock catfish in the summer and trout in the winter like always 🙂

The price for one pole is fine but to charge $15 for the second is a little pricey! The portable toilet was over full and after 8 hrs cought 1 fish. Might not return!

Absolutely beautiful Im definitely coming back.. But the birds r soo loud in the am thats my only complaint.

Love this place. The staff is friendly, the fish are always biting. They dont mind if ya have a good time just be respectful of others around you. Very family friendly too.

The positive was that everyone was friendly and they have fire pits. It was our first time here so I called the day before to ask some questions and they told us we where allowed 2 poles each on non stocking days but they failed to tell us it would cost us more. Most lakes allow at least 2 poles.They told us little about where to go or any pertinent info about the lake especially it being our first time here. Not helpful at all. I got help from other fisheman in line. We caught nothing and in the 5 hours there saw no one catch anything. Everyone we spoke to got skunked as well. The lake had a tremendous amount of moss which made it impossible to catch anything but moss. I would not recommend this lake.

Although we didnt catch anything that day, it was a nice fishing spot. The surrounding area was beautiful. The members, staff and fellow fishermen were courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Hope you have better luck than we did.

Lakes Are So Full Of Trash And algie You Cant Fish.The Water Stinks Like A Swamp ,Theyre Draining The Middle Lake To Try To Clean It Up.So Its A Mess ,Deal Is It Was The Best Lake Of Them All With Nice Bass And Blue Gill.The Members Only Lake Is Fair But Closed To Public.So Save Your Money They Do Stock Some Catfish But I Wouldnt Eat One Out Of Those Ponds.No One I Talked To Was Catching Anything Due To The Bait Sinking Into The Algie Fish Couldnt Find It.

I like this place very much. Just the sight of all different types of people having fun and enjoying inner peace

First place Ive like other then my childhood memories of MOUNTAIN LAKES done most my fishing in the mid west but a joy to be here.

Cost alot and one big algee pit, park rules changes each day, but staff is very cool

Worst place ever.. only saw 2 ponds theyre drying out... expensive plus lots n lots of mosquitos

Really used to love going fishing here, however recently the lakes moss problems have made it almost impossible to fish. Hope for better days...🙏

Spent $75. To get in ,cought fish ,and they made us throw them back,you think they would tell you at check in ,that it was catch and release.bad time.

More time and maintenance is put in for the members only side, which is understandable but if you want more future members maintenance on the other lakes is needed.

Fun fishing...but beware theiving squirrels by the lake.

I love this little place. The bass fishing here is great. Its a great little place if you want to fish for just a couple hours or all night long. I moved out of horrible California and this was one the last places I went to fish.👍

Great fishing in this place! They stock weekly depending on the season, open all the time 24/7, fishing license is 18 for single pole and discount on a second pole. General store available as well as a small restaurant, RV areas also available, staff is nice and attentive, raffles on the weekends and special events make it more fun

Notthing like the brochure, over all dry, a lot in need of repair, 3 good fishing lakes, employees great n friendly would come back.

They always lie about when there going to plant fish. Everyone always has a different story that works there. I called about 4:00 in the morning and a said were gonna plant between 3 by 6 but Ended up planning around noon. The next week I called to see when they were going to plant and they told me Friday but ended up planning Thursday.

I had a great time and the manager Susan is very nice. I caught a nice size cat fish.

Fisherman Retreat is great right now they have extra me catfishing they have excellent tooth or an excellent staff you must go see for yourself 24/7 it is open 24/7

Love coming here been coming out here since I was a young little girl with my parents and know Im enjoying coming out with my own children. Very relaxing and peaceful with nature.

2nd time going. Still didnt catch anything. Both times went after they restocked plus the algae was everywhere and lines kept getting caught. Dead fish everywhere and it smelled really bad

Absolutely love fishermans! They have family bingo , kids and adults win prizes. They have karaoke night. They have fishing in 3 lakes. If your not a member you should really look into it! Anyone can go in to go fishing tho, u just have to buy the fishing license. We have so much fun when we go! Everyone is so nice and make you feel welcomed. You can also camp there, rent an RV, or cabin. I really cant say enough good things about this place!

Rangers were very helpful but they sold us wet firewood which then didnt burn, and to add to it, we didnt catch any fish. We were there from 2am to 8am Not one fish was caught.

Place used to be fun but now its overpriced for what it is. I caught 3 trout but $45 for 2 adults and a kid? Come on I can go to an actual lake for half of that. Been coming here for years too. Everyone hated using their disgusting bathrooms too

They love to chatge people way too much to go fishing and charge people pople that are not fishing to sit by the lakes most of the staff is rude as hello the residents area they dont keep clean and all the park rangers are always drunk or high even some of the matnace guys i would never wanna go or live there ever again

Great place to relax, take in nature, fish, hike, crafts, etc. I grew up camping here and now I get to take my grandchildren. I love it here. Follow the rules never have a problem.

This place has ample spots. Busier weekend crowds. Staff is accommodating and is willing to help. Shower facilities are decent, a little wear for tear and it shows but they are clean and easily accessible. Fishing isn’t really good in my opinion unless they just stocked it because people fish it a lot. This is my favorite local place as it’s close to my home. Stay a spell and let’s see your opinion!

I love this place. Im not a member because I live less than ten minutes away but its great to come here as a quick little getaway. Ive always caught at least enough fish to feed my household and I love bringing my kids here to fish. I recently brought my 5 year old son here for his first fishing trip. He caught three good size catfish and I didnt catch a thing. It was a good day.
