Awesome Doctor. Hes the best doctor for us. He helped us a lot. He did a great job on my babys spina bifida. We are very thankful to him .

My baby was in breech position and I had been fighting to get my OBs to do everything they could to getting my baby into a head-down position to try and deliver naturally. They refused outright and scheduled my c-section without even consulting me they were. I saw specialists throughout my pregnancy and Dr. Goodnight volunteered to attempt an ECV (manually flipping the baby from the outside), which I had requested from my OBs. We went in to do it and ended up needing to have my baby that day due to some non-textbook occurrances before any procedure was begun. I had my extremely healthy baby that same day through cesarian after Dr. Goodnight and another doctor tried their best to successfully flip my baby, but they stayed comfortably in the breech position. I just wanted a doctor to TRY and give me the best chance of having a natural childbirth. After delivering and in the recovery room, Dr. Goodnight sat with my little family for a while and apologized that I could not have the birth experience I wanted. I told him that I just wanted someone to try. I had my healthy baby, and my husband and I were so touched by how Dr. Goodnight was upset I couldnt have the natural birth. We loved him so much that we switched to Dr. Goodnights practice as our OBs. The UNC MFM team is INCREDIBLE. I have been impressed every step of the way. They truly seem to listen and care and they remember you! Dr. Goodnight, thank you so much for your kindness and for trying. We will see you again for our next one!
