I spent a long time debating if I wanted to write this review or not but with it being 2yrs later and I’m still having the same problems with them is ridiculous. 2yrs ago I had a LEEP procedure done it was done incorrectly. I was Hemorrhaging and passing Golf ball sized blood clots I had to go back twice for them to finally think giving me stitches was the thing to do…it took two visits for that idea to occur. Now all I need from them is a referral to get seen by someone who actually knows what they’re doing and no one there seems to know how to make a referral. It amazes me how people get their jobs.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Beckham, she literally has given me my life back. I had a hysterectomy on 3/19, and god sent her with her blessed hands to bless my body. From the first encounter with her she made me feel secure in my decision, and secure in the fact that she was going to be the one operating on me. The day of surgery I was nervous nonetheless but the whole team down to the anesthesiologist made sure I was comfortable, and that I knew what they were doing every step of the way. Dr. Beckham did such a wonderful job she made my recovery a breeze. Soon as I awoke from surgery I was able to walk on my own, and I had next to no pain 🤗. I genuinely have respect and love for this woman because she has given me my life back ❤🧡💛💚💜💙. After I went home I received multiple calls from them checking up on me, I received a card signed by them I felt as though they cared as if I was family. I will never forget what her and the team has done for me, and I would like to say THANK YOU GUYS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART 😘🥰

Literally things posted on my chart that were not accurate and not discussed. Then they told be to schedule my 3hr glucose I DID just for me to get there and have to wait damn near an hour to be seen. Not to mention I cannot eat or drink for 3 hrs and when I get to my appointment at 8 am because I went around wake med to locate where I actually had to take the test because it was not clear at the time of me “scheduling” where it would be. Also, they did not mention its not actual appointment so I wasn’t even seen until about 9. I’m done with wake med at this point.

Very terrible!!!! One of the worst encounters I have ever came across dealing with an OB/gyn. I’m over 11 weeks pregnant and am still waiting to be seen since I was 5 weeks pregnant. The first appt they cancelled said that all of their providers were going to be out of the office and couldn’t get me an appt until 3 more weeks out! Than my appt finally comes and there was a huge accident in the highway so I called them and they said as long as your here by 1:30 we can see you. I got there at literally 1:31 and they denied me!!! Begging for prenatal care and they turned me away!! With this being the only known high risk OB gyn in Raleigh is outrageous.

I went to this clinic over 2 years ago when I was pregnant. The level of care was very poor. I had a high risk pregnancy, had a prenatal down syndrome diagnosis. Most of my concerns were dismissed. At the end of my pregnancy I called them to say I was cramping and baby wasnt moving, only to be sent to a nurses line, where I was told to just drink more water and my concerns were dismissed. I would have just went to the ER because the advice they gave was ridiculous, but since baby had down syndrome I had frequent ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy, so I had an appointment for an ultrasound with Maternal Fetal medicine (a different clinic) the very next day, I consulted with them. Baby wasnt moving, amniotic fluid was very low. It was known by that clinic that more issues arise at the end of these types of pregnancies. The Wake Med High Risk clinic was very dismissive of all of my concerns, especially at the end there, could have lost my baby if I listened to their advice. I was sent to the hospital immediately by the other clinic and they induced labor... Also, during tests check the label they put on your urine or blood sample. Had some tests there and they put another patients label on my urine sample cup and handed it to me. When I brought it to their attention they acted nonchalant about it. Not sure if the care was so poor because of discrimination (of a down syndrome pregnancy) or if this is how they treat all of their patients. But beware! The level of care there is awful!

So disappointed this time around, I have been seen here with my two previous pregnancies and a previous miscarriage I had about 5 years ago, everything went very smoothly and the nurses and Drs were great. Thats the reason for the 3 stars, But this time around I cant even get an appointment, I cant even get them to call me back to schedule that much needed appointment for the follow up after the visit to the ER where I had my miscarriage, besides being a very difficult situation and time for me I cant even get an appointment here, does anyone know of another high risk clinic where I can go? Because it has been two weeks since I was at the ER an I really need get checked. I guess if you are planning to get an appointment here try to schedule it way before you even get pregnant or not even because you have to get a referral from your Dr so tell them to do it with a lot of anticipated time!

I was referred for the office off New Bern Avenue, and would highly recommend them as a OBGYN doctors office. I was seen by Carolyn Steinhauser, and I loved her! She was very friendly, listened attentively to all of my concerns, was very patient with me and so helpful by recommending things to help me. I would highly recommend her to all the ladies out there, who want a female doctor to address their female issues. The staff at desk and in back were all so friendly and patient with me. I would recommend this office to everyone. Thank you for being so good to me! I will be back!

I was seen here for my pregnancy. I never really seen the same dr more than 2 times which I did not like. I had one dr tell me I had fibroids without checking me or ultrasound she did this for 2 visits.I had to push for a ultrasound. When I got the ultrasound there was no fibroids like I knew ( I had them before). I never got an apology from that from that dr or any other dr. When I explained what happened to the other dr they looked at me like was crazy, because the dr didn’t put anything about me having fibroids in my chart, but told me for 2 visits I had them and she was so sure, but I hadn’t had a ultrasound for about 2 months before the visit with her. I wouldn’t go back here.

My daughter and I were impressed with the care she received last year after an ER visit for an infected Bartholin cyst. Then we called twice with the same problem a year later. We too could not get an appointment. My daughter had high fevers up to 104. We could not go to the ER again. The ER doctor was scared to drain the cyst. He referred us to this obgyn practice. It was not until her primary care physician called them to see if they could see her that we got an appointment. The next day they not only had an opening, but they called my daughter to see if she wanted to come in earlier because their whole day was pretty much open. We went to that appointment. We were told they would recommend surgery.Low and behold, they had a surgery spot open the very next day.The stars were aligned the doctor told us. We thought it strange they had no appointments. Then the whole day was open, and a surgery spot was open in less than 24 hrs. This concerned us. It sounded a little shady to us, but we agreed to take the spot. They agreed they would drain the cyst early the next morning if we decided against the surgery. My daughter and I went back and forth with what to do all night. We decided the surgery just didnt feel right so soon.We were at the office bright and early the next day to drain the cyst. We then were told they had no appointments until December 19th.We were told the doctor gave us the wrong information. We were then told again twice by this particular lady that the stars were aligned for surgery. We felt bullied into having a surgery when we chose not to have one so soon. We were told we could go back to the ER if needed. We told the lady that the ER doctor refused to drain the cyst and sent us to them. She said to ask the ER doctor to call anobgyn doctor from their office, and they would come down and drain it. Wait a minute, the doctor cant follow through on her promiseto drain it first thing the next day in the office, but if we have to go to the ER again, they can have a doctor come to the ER for the same procedure. We asked if she could call the doctor for us. We were told the doctor was at home asleep and she was not going to disturb her. When we returned home, the office called us. It seems they had another patient with a bartholin cyst, who wanted her surgery spot. How shady is that? We said she could have the spot.Wow!!!Well, there is a happy ending to the story, Mid Carolina Obgyn worked her in the same day. They do that for emergency situations. My daughter is supposed to return in 6 weeks to remove the catheter and discuss her options, which may include surgery. At least its not the next day.The doctor even said that if the catheter stays in the full 6 weeks,it most likely wont come back.Sounds like a plan to me.Shame on you WakeMed Obgyn!!!It does not look like the stars are aligning for you at a 3.8!!!referr

I hated going to my OB appts with my daughter, but this time around they make me feel super comfortable and I am super pleased with the care I receive here. If your pregnancy is high risk, this is where youll want to go!
