Dr. Barrett is wonderful! She delivered my first born and after delivery I had some complications that were out of any ones control. Dr. Barrett stayed calm through them all and reassured me all was going to be okay when things got bumpy down the road. I couldn’t be more thankful to have her in my circle and know my health is in good hands. If you’re looking for a skilled ob, someone who has your best interest at heart, and will take the time to sit and talk with you just to ease any anxieties you may be having- I couldn’t recommend her more!

My Doctor has since moved away, but she was wonderful. I was disappointed to find out that she would be leaving the practice a few weeks after my exam. It was the best office experience and exam I could have hoped for.My physician spoke with me about my exercise, eating habits, and overall health before my exam. I didnt feel rushed and I felt she was very attentive. Ive had bad experiences with a male physician at a completely different office in the past (tortuously unpleasant swabbing...) all the while thinking the issue was with me. The experience was much better here, and I much prefer having a female physician after my experiences.Knowing my Raleigh physician was no longer available, I opted to go to the Capital Area OBGYN in Cary for my next yearly exam, as it was closer. The experience proved to be much less pleasant and pales in comparison. The exam was not made overly uncomfortable, however, after waiting around an hour for the exam portion, I felt rushed though the rest of the visit. I was seen into a smaller waiting area within the office 20 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, and after arriving 15 minutes early.I WILL be returning to the Raleigh location for my next exam.

Katherine Barrett is fabulous!! I have been with her for 11 years. She puts patients at ease and doesnt rush you in and out.
