TERRIBLE!!!!!! First of no meds even Lyrica or benadryl..... I was here almost 6 months proud to finish the 12-18 month program & started to feel really sick, I went to ER (twice), this is a peer run (*literally) program & after doing severaljobs (no pay) I was nominated to bring donations around from front of huge building to back (in the summer heat, in a small red wagon) well Ive had severe health problems & couldnt do it) I figured theyde work with me after all I DID do in 6 months but no I was told to ask for help. I left literally because the 2 other participants on walkers were put in less demanding jobs they could actually DO but not me. TOTAL discrimination, total favoritism. Within the week I left I had a stroke, Dr said 1 of 5 contributing factors was poor malnutrition, but THATS another story living there 6 months getting told we are lucky we eat...free (NOT everyone came from the street before going there) When I had the stroke several blood clots were found in both legs hence WHY I probably was NOT physically able to lift & haul donations (which by the way GO TO THE thrift store) this place has $500k check donations sitting in the lobby but serves molded pastries & has no RN or LPN supervising the inpatient program. Had I not gotten so sick itd have probably changedy life too BUT I did..& noone cared. Shame on you Mrs Tracy & shame on Healings Transitions.

Our daughter needed help in the worst way possible and we found this place thru our attorney. We arranged for her to get out of jail and go directly to treatment for the 12 month program. At first she hated the thought of being there for a full year, but now that she has started to open up and give it a chance shes really happy that she is there.I went inside briefly to use the bathroom in the lobby and the place was clean and everyone was super friendly. We stayed and enjoyed our visit in the little tent they had set up outside with a heater because the wind chill was 24 degrees today. We even brought our family dog and let her visit for a while.Several of her friends seem to have embraced the program and actually are encouraging her to stay and give it a fair shot to help make herself change for the better. She explained the meetings and classes to us, and over all was very happy with the experience so far.The first few days she hated everything about the place except for the FOOD, which everyone says is amazing. Then she met a few positive girls who want to change and connected with the staff and has now become happy living here. If you are hesitant or know someone who is just give it a try. It will take about a week to get used to the hours and the chores then you will start to see the benefits of how they do things. My daughter still doesnt like getting up at 530 AM to do chores and eat breakfast, but she is starting to come around and says it isnt that bad after all.

This is a place of miracles, a true God send to the residents and people of the Raleigh, Wake county area. The HT, formally the HP, is responsible for helping hundreds and even thousands of men and women in the Capitol City reclaim their lives from alcohol and drug addiction. There should be many more places like this one.

Good program from what I see so far. I am told by the people enrolled that the food is excellent. They say it can be boring on the weekends due to limited activities though. Bring books, crosswords, and other things to keep you busy if you like that sort of thing.

If you need help from a place like this, then this would be a great choice. Their staff is genuinely compassionate, and its a safe place to get your life back on track. I have not required their services, but I have been to the facility frequently and have had experiences with the clients and staff both. Highly recommended!

This place saved my life! When they say theres miracles in these walls, its true. Every member of staff walks the talk because they are in recovery too. You can only keep what you have by giving it away. Best decision I ever made!💖

Thank you for the work that you do. I would like to ask that you stop giving donations that were intended to go DIRECTLY to the women, to your thrift store. Myself and some others have recently been informed that the clothing we donated, thinking it would be given out to the clients, instead was sold in the thrift store and that just the rejected leftovers actually make it to the women. Thats not how I intended my donation be used.

The place to go if youre lost, broken, and helpless.....or if you want to help the broken and helpless. As a proud woman in recovery, I dont personally know of another recovery center with such a high success rate. To see my friends spirits come alive has been absolutely priceless.

I LOVE love love this place. I had to do volunteer work for my Intro to Social Work class at NCSU and I am so glad I did it here. The whole program is amazing beyond comprehension. Volunteering here gave me the motivation I needed to continue working towards my degree to work in a facility like Healing Transitions. The help they offer people in need is truly phenomenal :)

This is a treatment center for addiction and it is a nice facility. I Came Upon This Place for an AA meeting when I was up in the Raleigh area highly recommend it was in town for a funeral so I needed to get in a meeting places on a quaint Road at a dead end but its a nice facility in a safe area. The people chairing the meeting and the staff at the facility were nice I would certainly go back there again if in Raleigh ever in the future. They are listed in the where and when for meetings.

A good place to go when seeking a supportive place for those in recovery of alcohol or drug addiction. Provides a non-medical detox, shelter, and 9-18 month recovery program. This location serves women only; the mens Healing Transitions is in another building in a different part of town.Expect a rigorous schedule. Use of cell phones are simply not allowed in some parts of the program, and tightly regulated the longer your involvement. AA and NA meetings and the retirements of sponsorship and working the steps is integral to participation. Use of benzodiazepines is strictly prohibited, and use of suboxone or methadone as forms of medically assisted treatment are not allowed either as of my understanding at this point in time.I have never been a participant in this program but have stayed at the facility in the shelter area. I would also fully expect to experience the behavioral effects (drama, as it were) of women/men being sequestered for long lengths of time and in close proximity.

Second shift Michelle, is mean-spirited, screams at clients, unprofessional, as most staff, which are not well-educated women. All dress slovenly, use profanity while in conversations with clients. Treat handicapped clients very poorly, give no consideration if handicapped need to use own car, after falling off bus. Helen Wright Center is terrible, but not on uou constantly as this place is!
