I would highly recommend for people to find other options for home ownership than investing your time and money with this nonprofit organization. First I would like to mention how the Wake County administrative office is staffed with people who interact with a demoralizing manner. Next I would like to mention how the quality of my home is next to none. High humidity buildup in my home due to the skill set and lack of product used to build the home. There is no proper ventilation. Also not to mention the issues I have with the community in which I live in. So many things to mention. I have no idea where to begin. As the years pass I learn of the things I am missing. Those of you who are lacking knowledge on what quality is and how it pertains to your well-being your finances etc. It would be best to do research before making a commitment for $150,000+.

So many options for home upgrades! Lighting, furniture, cabinets, plumbing, sinks, hardware, paint, windows, electronics, rugs, etc. must see!

I do not know who is in charge of pricing items at these stores but whoever it is is not in touch with reality. Just yesterday I was in the Wake location. They had a cheap brass candlestick... priced at $95!! You could buy a real antique English candlestick for less than that! Do not shop here unless you want to get ripped off.

There is a new manager. The store has been revamped and everything is laid out and you can see and find what you are looking for. The staff is super helpful. Its a great place to find treasures.

I love this store but this location isnt well lit like the pictures show or other locations. I think they should purge again because everything isnt salvageable its just trash. The employees/ volunteers are nice though.

Great selection for some things. Anything that can pass as nice is almost as much as it cost new or at an antique store. But they are a charity and they need capital.

As a child, I watched my parents rebuild their home for a fraction of the cost with materials from this store. Nearly 20 years later, its still an excellent resource. They have an impeccable staff, and great prices.

I understand that is a place to help build house for people in need. But the prices should be lower, since they have all for free and some voluntary workers!!! Should be a win win situation to both sides. This year the prices increased a lot, before was good prices, but now sometimes new stuff are cheaper that second hand in Habitat!!!

Id like to give a lower rating, but it is a charitable organization. My review is on the store, and not the home building. This is extremely overpriced. Its barely marked down from new condition. I want to support this store, and what they do, but the beat up products are barely any lower than just buying it new. Furniture is ridiculously overpriced, as are appliances. Ive actually been in this store and seen the exact same sink that home depot is selling new costing more in habitat in a beat up used condition. The people working there are very friendly. The products are useable, just overpriced by a lot.

If you are tight on budget try goodwill first!! Okay so, I’ve been here and they have a huge store which I liked..a lot of selection. However, I noticed some of the dressers were expensive (even with the clearance) and bent out of shape. I decided to go to goodwill. And let me just teLL YOU I am a college student and have no money. I found a dresser for $30 (perfect condition) and a bed side table for $17 also amazing condition. I’m just speaking to the people that have not a lot of money! Try a goodwill in Cary!! Or in your town. But I’ve had luck with Cary goodwills and furniture.

Great selection. Huge store. Lovely people. Lots of used furniture. Kitchen cabinets. Rugs. Appliances that are tested and may be returned if they dont work. Bought washer and dryer set here. Two years later still using it. Couldnt find a new bedside table tall enough at furniture stores for my sons thick mattress and boxsprings so we came here and found an old sewing table minus the machine -- perfect height.

When you hear the word HUMANITY you would think that you would be treated better when your going through the process of getting a home! Its horrible. They should want to be helping instead of making you feel like your looking for a hand out! I have been working my whole life and have never taking anything I didnt work for, including trying to get a home. The staff at wake County needs some training in compassion for others.

Habitat is one of my favorite places to go browsing for fun stuff! :-) the store is huge and their selection is great. I often end up buying things that I really dont need but cant live without due to the low price. :-) plus the staff is very nice and helpful. I also enjoy donating my used items to them so they can sell them and I know that the money they get goes to a good cause, unlike places like Goodwill.

I have applied to Habitat three times for housing. They have a pre-screening process to see if you pre-qualify where they pull your credit and housing information. I get through all of that and now they want my childrens social and tax information to end up getting denied for my credit. Whats the point in pulling it in the beginning to go through a lengthy process to get denied for something they have already seen?

People who work here are nice, for me at first the process looked good but now that I am 1 month away to achieve the goal I am about to lose my mind. The equity hours missed all my other things. The hours are not quite complete so I cant move in on time and from the other side our current property wont let us stay because I had given them vacate notice. Street life time?! The restore prices are low and affordable for everyone and workers are really nice.

Best place to find used building materials in the county! Affordable prices and friendly staff. Also has an amazing selection of used furniture and area rugs.... even exercise equipment and usually some handicap needs like walkers and potty chairs... better than an indoor yard sale! Even takes VISA, MC and personal checks! :-)

Over the last decade have purchased many things through restores for our ongoing remodeling. The last few years our experiences have sucked at restores. Everything from oh im sorry someone must have mispriced that it will actually cost xyz to one store having two WORKERS pet dogs tied to a table. Whole store reeked of dog. Complained and they said they are pet friendly if i dont like it i need to leave. So totally disrespectful of other people.
