Dr Edward III was very confident, knowledgeable and experienced. He very patiently answered all of my questions, listened to my concerns, described all options available without pressure to proceed surgically. All of which made me feel very confident to proceed with the procedure. He put me at ease prior to surgery and chatted easily with me throughout the procedure. His staff is equally as pleasant and competent. Every office visit I got in with no wait and was out within 25-30 minutes, most of which was me asking questions. Would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Post is an extremely good doctor and surgeon. I have been one of his patients for several years. It is good to know he is there when I need him, it doesnt matter the number of years in between visits its like coming home. You know he is going to take care of the problem. I would highly recommend seeing him.

I couldn’t tell you the amount of pain I was in before I came today. In meeting your terrific staff and Dr. Edwards I knew I was in the right place. The staff is very attentive, they try to offer the best service. Although I find a weakness in not having a translator service, it establishes an insurmountable barrier between the service and the Spanish-speaking client.Apart from that little detail, the experience was incredible, especially the doctors attention ... actually very good

Raleigh Hand to Shoulder is great! Everybody here is sup kind! They set my appointment so that I was seen quickly. My doctor is super nice and explained my issues so that I understood what the problem is. He is not surgery happy! In fact he advised against it for as long as possible, but he also doesnt want to see me unnecessarily! Call and make an appointment when you need to.

The customer care is exceptional. Autumn went above and beyond to make sure I was seen by an OT as soon as she understood the severity of the rehab that I required. I cant say enough about how impressed I am by the entire staff.

My primary care physician sent me to see Dr. George Edwards Jr, since she said he was the only one she would trust to send me to for my wrist issues. He was great. He took the time to analyze my wrist, took into account my other medical issues, and came up with a game plan to take care of my ganglion cyst. He had wonderful bedside manner and I will definitely be returning to him in the future. The front desk people were nice and charming, and delivered great customer service. Overall, a great experience.

Dr Edwards Jr. is very patient and compassionate doctor. We are fortunate to have found such a wonderful doctor after our bitter experience with another young doctor who would just not believe my child who was in immense pain. We are yet to find a complete resolution for my daughter. However, we know we are in good hands with Dr. Edward.

The staff were caring, courteous, and professional. Dr. Shricker was excellent. I took my wife with me because she is a nurse. She was very impressed with my care. She asked for a couple of his business cards for a couple of friends who have arthritis in their hands.

Dr.Edwards III immediately knew what was wrong with my finger. I had pain for 20 years and my primary doctor told me it was most likely nerve damage from a nail salon. Turns out it was a rare benign tumor that he identified as soon as he heard my symptoms and examined my finger. His explanation, detailed examination and follow through made me confident that he was the perfect doctor to perform this procedure.

Broke my wrist pretty bad and had surgery twice. A little over a year later and it feels pretty good. The doctors and staff are excellent and the facilities are very nice.

Dr. Edwards is an awesome Orthopedic specialist who combines his knowledge, experience, and bedside manner to provide outstanding medical care! He has effectively treated my trigger finger and arthritis over a 10 year period. I wouldn’t trust another MD to my care, for as long as he’s practicing.

Dr. Edwards, Jr. is so caring and makes you feel like he has all the time in the world with you. He has taken care of my family for at least 35 years. There was a time years ago when we saw so much of him, I thought of putting him on record as our FAMILY doctor.

Doctors and Nurses are excellent!Office staff and especially the office manager (Coleen) bills for whatever they like after I was told I was completely caught up on my billing and threatens you with reporting on your credit. Referral to a nerve specialist took 3 calls a span of 4 weeks then was lied to when they had done the referral. Last call on 02/04/2021 was told it was done, then said it was done on 02/08 found out it was not done until the 15th (Gina).I hope this gets to the Doctors.Office personnel is the only reason they didnt get a 5 star review.

Dr Messer and the nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate. They would receive a 5 star review if their office staff for insurance knew not to take the word of an Humana front desk person instead of asking for the insurance authorization department for my concern. Dr. Messer is so kind and sweet. I love the fact that he’s very knowledgeable about what’s going on with you. He’s never in a rush, he sits right there and examines every hurt and ailment you are having. He shows compassion towards your injury or pain. Also, if you ever have surgery, he stays right there until your are completely healed, free from pain and complaints. Some doctors do the surgery, see you afterwards and that’s it but not Dr. Messer. Dr. Edwards You stated during my deposition that you felt I was faking my injury but you charged my insurance and I paid numerous deductibles. I traveled from Greenville N.C.on numerous doctor and therapy visits. Just want you to know that four years later Im still suffering with my injuries.

Today was my first appointment and it was wonderful. Dr Schricker examined both hands and look at the x days I bright with me. He clearly explained his findings and gave me an injection of cortizone. Dr. Schricker likely saved my arm 2 years ago. More recentlly he put my elbow back together again. I cant say enough good things about the Dr. and his staff. They care and treat everyone with respect. When leaving I told him it was a pleasure - besides the arm thing.

Regarding James Post, MD: I cannot identify any person Ive known in my 68 years who is better suited than James Post to be a Physician. He clearly has command of the specifics in his area of concentration. I have trusted him through multiple procedures over the past 20 years and the results have been better than expected without fail. Everyone values their hands; Ive played stringed instruments for over 50 years; I have painted in the Fine Arts tradition for the same time. Dr. Posts work has made this possible. He not only has made surgical repairs - he is addressing the approach of arthritis proactively so that I might continue my avocations (arthritis crippled my fathers hands). To top it off, he actually has a personality. You will be impressed.

I went in with a broken thumb and in the end my thumb is back to normal. The staff was great, Dr. Erickson is professional and confident. I hope I dont brake more bones in my arm or hand, but if I do, then Ill be back. Thanks!

In 2012 I was diagnosed with Keinbocks disease in my right wrist. As an electrical technician by trade and a musician in my free time this was crushing. I was afraid I would loose dexterity in my right hand all together. Luckily Dr. Terry Messer was able to help. He performed a re-vascularization of my dying Lunate and after a few months of healing and PT I was back at work. Even better I was back playing my guitar. I had to go back and have a screw removed in 2017 but no further problems. Since then I have performed and recorded many times and had my music featured in movies, podcasts, radio shows and more. Big thank you to Dr. Messer!

I have relied upon Dr. Post for nearly a decade to help me navigate soft tissue rheumatism of my wrists and shoulders caused by a longstanding diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. He is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. In 2015, I underwent shoulder surgery that he performed, which relieved the pain I previously experienced. Further, through the years, Dr. Post has administered countless cortisone shots with exact precision to alleviate nonarticular pain and inflammation. Trust me when I say Ive seen MANY doctors in my life, and few put forth the time and effort to establish a genuine partnership with their patients as Dr. Post does. I am truly grateful for him.UPDATE: Due to recent events, I must update my review. Recently, Dr. Post’s staff has demonstrated woeful disregard for detail in obtaining insurance approval for medical imaging. Further, when I informed Dr. Post of the error and unprofessionalism shown by his staff, no apology was forthcoming. To date, the issue remains unresolved. I never thought I would leave this practice but, unless there is greater emphasis on attention to detail and follow-through, I will have no choice.

My son was recommended to Raleigh Hand and Shoulder is was probably the worst experience that we have EVER experienced. When I questioned something at the check j in n desk the lady rolled her eyes at me like I was from Mars. The hand specialist messed up my sons shoulder and it hasn’t been right since. We went one more time to see the doctor and the hand specialist talked to my son to see how he was doing (he didn’t have any treatment from her, she never touched him) and 3 min later she came and got me to tell me what she did at the last treatment and also what she thought was wrong with his hand. He didn’t have an appointment with her BTW. She put on his checkout sheet that she did 30 min of treatment which was a lie. Can we say insurance fraud. Now that she messed up his shoulder, he has nerve pain in it constantly now and he went for his hand. Why did she even touch his shoulder?? From the moment I entered the office I was met with kind prompt and professional staff. I arrived early and noticed immediately that patients were be called promptly at their assigned appointment times. When my name was called I waited only a few short minutes to see Dr Post. I can not say enough about how Raleigh Hand & Foot respects and honors their patients. I have a calm confidence when I return for my next visit. 5 STARS

Easy scheduling and check in. I did have to wait a bit long in the exam room but the Dr was great, listened to my issues, was concerned and took immediate action to help me with my problem. Overall it was excellent.

I rarely leave a negative review, however, I was quite disappointed with my experience twice at Raleigh Hand to Shoulder. My first disappointment was when I met with Dr. Messer to discuss ulnar nerve pain. I was probably in the office with him 10 minutes max with most of the time him telling me I needed to get surgery and asking when I could schedule it; no one wants to be pressured to schedule surgery on the spot. Quite honestly I didnt feel confident in his ulnar nerve surgical abilities when discussing it with him and found him difficult to talk to.The second disappointment was when I visited their occupational therapy clinic. To begin with, the OT was late to my appointment and then second I was with her for about 15 minutes when it was supposed to be a 45-minute visit. She only gave me two at home exercises and did not seem knowledgeable in cubital tunnel syndrome pain alleviation. I saw an athletic trainer at a different clinic who did more for me then an OT who is supposed to be specialized in such... I am going to give both of these individuals the benefit of the doubt & say they may have been having a bad day. Unfortunately due to my two lousy experiences they lost out on a surgery and future business.

I’ve had pain on my right ring finger since 2015! I’ve been referred to see a neurologist, and dermatologist. I’ve had Xrays done and no one could find anything wrong so I did my own research and decided to make my own appointment here. BEST DECISION EVER!! First, the staff is very friendly and Dr. Erickson is amazing! He was able to diagnose what I had the first visit and schedule to get surgery the following week. The referral to Dr. Edwards office from my dermatologist has proven to be the best possible outcome for an 18 month battle with a ganglion cyst on my right hand. Finally, a correct diagnosis and surgical solution to heal this seemingly perpetual lump on my finger. The staff was pleasant and Dr. Edwards reassuring. Dr. Edwards III is a wonderful doctor. He listened to me, gave me options for treatment, and was very gentle during his examination. And thanks to him, I am not afraid to get a cortisone shot anymore. I was very afraid this morning, but he made it simple and easy, and it barely hurt at all. The practice itself is excellent! The wait time is ridiculous. Every time I have had an appointment, I have had to wait up to an hour and a half to be seen.

These doctors are amazing! They take their time, listen to your complaints/worries and figure out the next course of action, all while explaining every step to you. Their bedside manner is fantastic. These guys are truly one of a kind and run a wonderful facility. I have not encountered one person there who was not sweet, caring and attentive.

Dr. Edwards, Jr. is an excellent hand surgery. His surgeries for me have had perfect results. Plus he is a heck of a nice guy. I highly recommend him, his front office staff and the PT department. They are all very professional and kind at the Center. If you have a hand problem this is the best place to go.

Both times Ive come here I have felt like the doctor I met with (same one both times) didnt have the time of day for me. Maybe theyre really busy, maybe theyre really efficient, but at the end of the day if I leave with a dozen unanswered questions because I got kick out after two minutes, having only described half of my symptoms, Im not going to believe my health is actually cared about.If you like paying $100 for 100 seconds with a hand doctor, this is the place for you.

I’ve been under the care of Dr. Edwards Jr. since February 2019 for a trigger thumb issue. By far he’s the most attentive, caring and courteous physician I’ve ever encountered. The staff there is phenomenal, kind and gets things done quickly when I needed. I had surgery yesterday and I was extremely nervous and anxious. Dr. Edwards, the nurses and the surgical team made me feel comfortable and calmed me down with their kindness and extraordinary care. The best surgery experience I’ve had my entire life. I live in Greenville, NC but will travel to Raleigh to this facility in the future if needed, without hesitation. A true example of how a physician and their staff should conduct their office and treat patients.
