Was a patient for 4-5 years but the constant overbooking hassles, hurried procedures and poor results drove me elsewhere. Dr Ghassemian is a good guy for basic checkups and procedures , but I was NOT happy with facial scarring from a Mohs surgery (4 years ago) done by Dr. Echt that still is prominent today. Ive moved on.

Terrible client care and service. Dr. Lekan has the worst bedside manner and is borderline rude. Front desk is less than helpful and has poor customer care. There is always a 45 min wait on the phone when you call for an appointment. There are many wonderful dermatologists in the area, this is not one of them!

I saw Ghassemian, I already knew what I wanted to do, and what the results may be. It was a waste of my time. I do not recommend. He was not listening to what I came in for, and gave me a prescription for something I didnt come in for. Apparently he was not familiar with what u wanted because I know of others who have had the same procedure, with more knowledge, I will be going where they went.

I have not had any negative experiences at this office. If fact, quite the contrary. Staff has always been present. I have been seen by both Dr Echt and Dr Ghassemian. Both were great. Yes, I have had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but I understand that things dont always go as planned, and you have to figure sometimes issues may be more they what was expected, or a patient may have a lot of questions that may take more time. I would like to think that if I had several questions that the Dr. would not just push me out just to stay on schedule This IS a medical practice and not a Quick Lube for your car. I have been there several times over the last 12 years or so. I would recommend highly to anyone who is in need of this type of attention..

Dr Audrey Echt came highly recommended to me. I have been going there for about 5 years. She has removed a melanoma off my wrist & now removed a basil cell carcinoma off my forehead. She is the best of the best- she is caring, professional and very knowledgeable in her field. She makes you feel very comfortable and her staff is very friendly & also knowledgeable. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a dermatologist who is concerned about your well-being! Thank you Dr. Echt& staff!

Wow, when I noticed something that I wanted examined I was able to call and get an appointment in the same week (a cancellation but I was lucky to get it,) I arrived a bit early to update my paperwork but was surprised to be called back by the nurse before I had even started my forms!Friendly as well as fast, my nurse gave me a gown and by the time I had slipped it on, the doctor was arriving to hear my concerns. She and the nurse worked well together, checking for anything that might be suspicious. Though the spot I had found was harmless, the doctor found a very tiny area that was worthy of a biopsy. She worked quickly and painlessly to remove it and treat my other spot and send me on my way. I stayed a few extra minutes to complete my forms but my appointment was very fast and the staff are friendly and excellent.

Terrible office staff, nurses and Dr. Ive been going here for at least 10 years to see Dr. Holly Martin who is the best. Shes always really nice and comforting. I had an appointment scheduled for fillers which I had already had a consultation for back in November or December of 2017. During the consultation with Erin Kidd, I was under the impression that she would be doing the fillers. I called when I was ready to make the appointment and was told she did not do fillers. Why would I have a consultation with someone who doesnt do them? I was told by the office that I didnt need to see Dr. Echt prior to the appointment. The fillers were already paid for which was a challenge in itself since the office staff are incompetent. They took over a week to ask the doctor about which filler I was getting, so that I could pay, and then never called me back. My appointment was scheduled on a day that it snowed, so then I had to reschedule. The office staff hung up on me twice and were very rude when I was trying to reschedule. I went in this afternoon for my appointment and met Dr. Echt for the first time. She seems very distant and awkward. She told me she did not feel comfortable doing fillers on a 23 year old. (Which would have been fine had I not spend money and several months on this.) She then made very uncomfortable comments that the lip injections are several needles going into your lips and it will hurt. This is not how you speak to a patient whatsoever. I think she saw my age and completely wrote me off before meeting me. She said she was skeptical when speaking to Erin Kidd, and could have called me to cancel the appointment but she wanted to meet me first. After exiting the room where I was speaking to Dr. Echt, several of the nurses including Stephanie Webster were glaring and laughing at me. When I spoke to Stephanie to say that it isnt professional to act that way, she walked away while glaring and saying, well we werent. The whole experience was terrible and I would never recommend anyone to come here. Apart from Dr. Holly Martin and the office manager Nga Moore, the staff does not care about you at all. Do not waste your time or money like I did.

Moved to Wake Forest a year ago and I needed to find a new Dermatologist in my area. Did a google search and found this office, unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews beforehand. This Dr was awful, she literally came into the room, looked at a rash and said let’s do a biopsy. A biopsy for a rash? No I don’t think so. I asked for a cream and insisted that I get a paper prescription because I will find the pharmacy who has it for the right price. Instead she called it into her pharmacy of her choice. Mind you the pharmacy of her choice isn’t a chain pharmacy and it’s 30mins away. The prescription she called in was 1,100 dollars. Seriously? Are you kidding me. I called the office and complained to try to get a reasonable prescription. Still nothing. She literally spent 5 mins in the room with me and didn’t let me to ask her another question I had. I wasted my hard earned money and time and still with my rash. I will never go back to this office and never recommend this dermatologist.

Last time I had an appt scheduled they cancelled on me, then took 6 more months to get rescheduled. When I was sent my bill, I was charged a second charge to the procedure I had done as a new pt, even though I had been there before (this was my annual). Then they argued with me that I was charged as a new pt b/c I hadnt been there in 3 years. When asked the date of my last visit it was under 2 years, but even as the person told me the date she couldnt seem to grasp it wasnt 3 years. FINALLY, got a revised bill in the mail, but it was marked FINAL NOTICE, with threat of sending to collection agency. When I addressed this problem, I was told 2 prior statements to the 2 I received had gone to an old address. That is not my problem. They obviously have my correct address since 2 statements made it to my house. Not to mention, the doc I saw on my last visit just kept criticizing my tan and all my freckles. I wear 50 sunscreen when I am out, but I am not going to hibernate. Please just let me know if I have any areas of concerned and try to be nice.I will NOT ever return, and I will tell others not to waste their time!!

This place is a money grab if you are seeking help for simple acne. Their MO is to bleed you with many recurring appointments, expensive cremes and salves that do little if anything before finally recommending oral Retinol, beginning a new cycle of appointments, blood work, and follow-ups, knowing that Retinol was the proper course of treatment on appointment #1. After dozen (paid) visits for two family members, saw Doctor Echt only twice - to recommenced the Retinol. My gosh what a waste of money. Choose another practice is our advice.

Large, inpersonal practice. I have never been treated by the same doctor twice. The doctor will not spend much time with you, mine didnt even hang around long enough for me to ask two questions. They also tried to force me to use some pharmacy they are in cahoots with by claiming that it would save me money because they had a great relationship with the insurance companies. This ended up not being true and the experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning.

I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so poorly. I tried to resolve a billing problem with the billing guy, I hardly got a word in edgewise. He talked over me like I was not even on the phone. My wife and I went to have our yearly preventive skin check. First we did not get to see the Dr. NP instead, then, they billed my wife $40 more than they billed me for the same routine skin check. When I attempted to resolve, I was given no reasonable explanation. And there isn’t one, they just make more that way.

Ive been a patient since at least 3-1/2 years ago when I moved to the area. I see Dr. Lekan and I feel shes very thorough with my yearly skin checks. In fact, she detected a suspicious spot on the side of my face that turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma, resulting in Mohs surgery by Dr. Echt. The scar is not even visible. (Dr. Echts surgical nurse is awesome by the way and Im very needle-shy.) I have no reason to give anything but a good review on this practice. P.S. If youre a new patient calling for an appointment - you probably will have to wait months to get in, but once youre established and you have an issue they will see you much, much sooner.

I went to have a facial done and it was completed in 20 minutes when I was told by two different people (when I was trying to make the appointment) that it would be an hour long. She basically washed my face, slapped on some balm and something else, washed it off, and that was it. It was $85.00. I would not recommend this place. I have had much better facials at Family Dermatology and Skin Sense Spa.

The office staff was fine and Dr. Echo was pleasant. Unfortunately, she is a terrible surgeon. I had a small premelanoma removed. I had this procedure done several times at my old dermatologist. I was shocked at the size, bruising, awkward and too tight stitches when I removed the bandage. One can barely see the small scar from my previous dermatologist and this one is almost an inch. I had to have a nurse remove the stitches as they were so inflamed. (Size of premelanoma was less than 2mm in both instances.). My daughters, one a veterinarian who does surgery, and the other an MD were shocked at how badly this was done. They both encouraged me to submit a review to help others. I was sorry to write such a bad review as she seems like a nice woman. She really needs to go back and learn surgery.

The doctor I have seen there for 3-4 years seems proficient but the overall experience is poor at best. The medication I had been taking was becoming ineffective so he tried me on a new one. All was going well then my pharmacy notified me that I was out of refills after just 90 days. So I call the office to get refill - they tell me they have to see me first / booked out 3 weeks / he going on vacation / put me on cancellation list - meanwhile all I want to do is my job and get the med. No concept of see things from the eyes of the customer here. Why not have professionalism to book follow up appointment when I am there? Why not at least tell me going to need to see me again in 90 days? Tell your kids to become dermatologists, with a minor in business management - we need more options in Raleigh.

Pleasant girl on the desk; weve been going there for probably five years and have had nothing except exceptional care. In and out in no time. Of course you need to come early to fill out paperwork, and of course you may have to wait - if you were the patient they are helping, would you want to be rushed out the door? I swear, some of you just live to carp about everything. Love this practice and always recommend it to my neighbors and family!

Terri was super sweet and the doctor assured me that a couple spots I was worried about were nothing to fret over. We had one area biopsied and it came back negative. Better to be safe than sorry! I saw Dr. Holly Martin for a scab. This was my first office visit for a skin cancer check, so I knew nothing and had a lot of questions. She was luke-warm on my first visit when I had the biopsy. When I came back to have the procedure done, she was professional and answered all my questions. I didnt feel the procedure (an EDC). After that, I kept getting $200+ bills, after my insurance company said that all I would have to pay was the co-pay. This was in-network and was covered. I cant call my insurance company (United Health Care) because theyre no longer in business.

The office was remodeling and temporalrily moving locations, and evidently caused a delay in removal. I did go back twice to complain, but was told it was perfectly normal, and the stitches were in for a normal time period. Needless to say, my new practice is WONDERFUL.
