I highly recommend Raleigh Specific Chiropractic. Ive been working through a treatment plan for almost 6 months and I cannot express how much better I feel overall. Initially, I came seeking help for frequent headaches after seeing my primary care doctor several times and getting nowhere. Through chiropractic care, it was clear my neck alignment was contributing to these frequent headaches. Over the course of treatment, Ive gone from weekly headaches to rarely getting them. Not only does my body feel better, but mentally Im in a much better place not feeling physical pain so often. And on top of all that goodness, the staff is warm and welcoming. Truly, I couldnt find anything negative to say if I tried. 10/10 recommend. I only wish Id have started coming sooner.

I have suffered with chronic back pain for years, have sought adjustments from two other chiropractors in places I have lived. They gave me relief, but am thankful I found the Raleigh Specific Chiropractor since I now have osteoporosis and needed a practice well-versed in spinal work. Doctors at this practice are proactive in educating the patient wherein problems are in the spine from images taken prior to treatment, and how mal-alignment in the spine affects our entire health. I am only about one-third through my treatments and can already notice a change in my ability to move without so much pain. I have been active, yoga, running, exercise throughout my life and, even though considered a Senior, and no longer running, I want to enjoy being as active as my body allows. I highly recommend this practice.

Specific Chiro has taken so much time and detail with me and working with my lower back pain. Every other chiropractor I have been to in the past has been so quick and rushed with my care... it’s just a quick “click click boom” and I leave more sore than I did when I arrived. Here you get exercise equipment to help me at home and I do exercises in the office before each adjustment to make it easier on my body. I was put on a payment plan to help since my insurance doesn’t cover it. Chiropractic can get expensive, but my body and my well being is worth the investment. Dr. Winget and the staff here at Raleigh Specific have been exceptional from the start. My wife and I came in for personalized adjustments - both with tremendous success! My wife’s posture improved drastically - she used to slouch, as did I. I had lingering neck pain from a repetitive pitching motion in a collegiate baseball career. That neck pain has dissolved completely. They even helped our newborn baby girl who was having issues with digestion. Your nerves are housed in your spine, if there are vertebral subluxations and those nerves are pinched, you are functioning at a sub-optimal level. Simple as that! Get an X-ray and have a consultation. It’s far better than the alternative! Having someone cut you open and drill screws into your spine. My wife is a nurse on the orthopedic floor at a prestigious hospital in the triangle. Nothing good ever comes from sticking a knife into someone’s spine.

Dr. Winget is amazing! I was in a pretty horrible accident after being hit by a drunk driver in a head-on collision. After the accident the pain went away, but months later it felt like my hips and spine werent even connected at times. It was becoming unbearable, and I have a very high tolerance for pain.Ive been going for 3 months, and I am literally not feeling ANY pain anymore. If I sit for too long, Ill feel some slight discomfort in my back, but NOTHING even close to what I felt before coming here.I am a skeptical person by nature, but Dr. James and his incredible staff (Ally, Stacey and Sam) made me wholeheartedly believe they absolutely care about everyone that walks through the doors.And the care they provide is real and WORKS, which is probably the most important thing, especially if you are dealing with constant pain.Side note: I always bring my 3-year old daughter with me and Ally, Stacey and Sam spoil her. I was having periodic back pain and neck and shoulder blade pain for years. I stopped by Dr Wingets booth at a health fair on a whim. My interest was peaked as to what they could do for me so I set up an evaluation and discovered my spine was out of alignment and I lost most of my neck curve. What I thought was muscle pain was actually brought on by my spine. I started treatment and started feeling better in a few weeks. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I wish I had discovered them sooner.

Came in with a lot of pain in my lower back. After my initial exam they explained everything very clearly and what would be the best course of treatment. The staff was very professional and comforting. Not only do they do corrective adjustment but also give specific exercises to help as well. Thank you all.

I purchased a groupon for this location for my husband. We are searching for a good chiropractor in the Raleigh area. What I can say is that I am thankful I only spent $40 of my money on this business and as much as I hate to say it I truly feel that if my husband was not a person of color he would have received better treatment than what was experienced. The groupon purchased was for an X-ray, 2 adjustments and 2 spinal decompressions. First visit was just educating and xrays, cool. Second visit the chiropractor performed what they call a “light” adjustment with the excuse that they need to ease into treatment. That “light” adjustment could have been done at home for free with no assistance. This is not my first time using a chiropractor and I have never heard of such a thing. Last appointment, we had scheduled for a week, arrived prior to appointment and were told we needed to wait outside until we are called to come in. 5 minutes passed our scheduled appointment time I called to see what the hold up was and was told the office is at full capacity and we just need to wait until someone leaves. CDC guidelines should not affect your time management skills of your office. After calling to see what the issue was immediately after received a phone call my husband could head in for his appointment. The xrays that we paid for were never reviewed during any appointments. Chiropractor performed an adjustment on ONE side of the back and says “alright you’re done have a great day buddy” and walks out. I booked this office because of the tremendous amount of positive reviews. However, what we experienced was nothing less than unprofessional.

I first started because I was having headaches. After looking at my X-rays I saw how out of alignment my back/hips were. My headaches are getting better and my back is much looser than it was. My flexibility in my back has improved greatly. Staff is very friendly and smiley.

This place is incredible. It would be enough to come here just to interact with the friendly/knowledgeable staff, but the reality is they actually help. I came with lower back and hip pain that kept me from doing the activities I really enjoyed...working out, golf...they analyzed the situation and made a plan to help. I’m finishing up my corrective timeline and I’m back to feeling much better. I do the the things I want to do without pain because of these great people.

When I came for my hip pain and felt general misalignment in my spine, they were very thorough in asking questions, explaining the implications of misalignment, and explaining my x-ray results while showing me where the misalignments were (very visible and easy to see). After just my first alignment, I had a significant if not total decrease in my hip pain that I had been experiencing for several months. Very nice people who are very attentive to care!

I started coming because my arms were going to sleep and I was losing the ability to hold onto items due to turtle neck posture. I play in the hand bell choir at my church and holding onto the bells was becoming difficult. The staff are super nice and friendly! The treatment was easy and I wished that I had come in sooner. I often wonder why doctors do not recommend chiropractic care. With a few pushes on the spine and stretching of the neck, I could feel my hands and they no longer go to sleep while playing hand bells! It would be terrible if I threw the bells across the stage while playing at practice or worse yet the performance! Thanks to the services at Raleigh Specific Chiropractic I can play with confidence!

The thing I love most about coming here is that Dr. James and Jill Winget actually treat the root of problem and not the symptoms. Every other doctor you go to in pain just throw pain medicine at you but that will NEVER solve the problem. They also give you information while waiting to help you make the lifestyle changes needed to benefit you long term whether it is a healthy recipe, a printout to read while waiting to get your adjustment that contains information on vitamins and other supplements that will benefit you and the information that scrolls across the television. The chiroprator is very eager to help and if you tell him about a specific ache or pain (ex: slept wrong or tweaked your neck) during your appointment, he will help you with that as well as continue your treatment. Dr. Carpenter is knowledgeable, competent and effective. Ive had bad experiences with chiropractors in the past but Dr. Carpenter has earned my trust and respect, and has renewed my faith in chiropractic treatment. The front desk staff (Mary, Debbie and Jan) are wonderful, always friendly and extremely accommodating. The office has such a pleasant, homey feel. I actually look forward to my appointments here!

Ive been coming here for over 3 years. The entire staff is the friendliest youll ever meet and the chiropractic care is top of the line. They do more than just maintain you from visit to visit, they truly work to fix and make lasting improvements in your spine and neck. Even though Ive been going to various chiropractors my whole life, my neck had still lost its natural curve and was almost straight when I started coming here. Doctor Winget was able to correct it and put the curve that is supposed to be there back in my neck.

I used to have a chiropractor that never took X-rays. I love this practice because they take X-rays continuously over your treatment to make sure they’re actually making a difference! This way it’s not just temporary symptom relief. All staff are friendly and welcoming.

I have been a patient here for just over a month. I have seen improvement in my neck pain (which was contributing to migraine headaches). Ive been coming here since 2006. When I initially came in I was in pain and very stiff after having had back surgery 6 months before. Not only has the pain and stiffness disappeared, my overall health has been great. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. Ive recommended them to just about everyone I know. They are great!Today is June 15, 2020, and I’m still a patient. This is the best chiropractic office. They care about the health of the patients. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

They care about helping you heal your whole health along with feeling better along the way. When I started my chiropractic care 8 weeks ago, I was dealing with more pains than I can express here. Not only am I feeling so much better and have very little pain now, but I’ve lost 22 pounds, and weight loss is something I’ve struggled with for a long time. Dr. Winget, Dr. Jill, Dr. Carpenter, Stacey and Sam all really care about helping you attain better health and well-being, not just temporary pain relief. Their chiropractic care has been the foundational change I needed. I’m so grateful I was referred to them.

I came here by referral of my mother. I was visiting from out of town and was in a lot of burning/stabbing pain in my right upper back. I was also generally stiff and uncomfortable from years of abuse to my body. At first contact with the office over the phone, both Stacey and Sam were beyond friendly and thorough with my intake. Upon coming to the office their friendly professionalism continued and I also met Jordan, who was equally as exuberant and professional in taking my x-rays and explaining more of the Living Wellness process. Dr. Jill completed my intake by thoroughly going over my paper work with and fielding any questions that I had. You can tell how serious they take your health here. When I got my first adjustment, Dr Winget was precise and to the point with his adjustments. In addition to receiving almost immediate relief from my upper back pain, I felt relief in other areas as well as a boost in my energy and attitude. I continued to come back for multiple weekly visits and continued to have a great experience each time. These folks know what theyre doing and love what theyre doing. I will plan future visits for whenever I am in town.

This is the most friendly place to come to. I was absolutely afraid of adjustments but was walked through the process gently and now I love getting adjusted. On top of that, I feel so much better and am able to be more active with more success in running and weight lifting.
