I wholeheartedly recommend Lee Brothers Martial Arts! Master Lee and his staff are second to none...and I mean instruction as well as community. I am older, and it was daunting to try a martial art. From day one, they have made me comfortable with my progression, but they will push me as needed. They are also flexible and understanding with my crazy life schedule.Myself aside, I see so many happy children attending and having a wonderful time with the instruction and friendship. Adults as well.If you are looking for (in my opinion) the best martial arts experience in Raleigh, please look no further!

Ive been going for a couple months now and I absolutely love it. I was nervous at first never having done martial arts before and wasnt sure if Taekwondo was for me. After my first class I fell in love, and after a few more classes I was quickly learning and understanding my body and how it moves. Its a great workout and I have better balance and control now as I progress through the stances, blocks, kicks, and even jabs/punches from time to time.Everyone here is super kind. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They instill discipline and encourage me to go beyond my limits and to believe in myself.If you are thinking about trying a martial art, you cant go wrong here.

Lee Brothers is amazing. They’re welcoming, challenging to the students ab hike them to a high yet attainable standard. They have been a huge part of our family’s recovery from the Covid Pandemic! They’ve helped our son have direction and focus of his energy and attention. They have a comfortable space for the parents, friends, and family to watch practice. When we scouted the Raleigh area we saw Lee Brothers and remarked that wouldn’t it be nice if our then-6-yr-old could continue his taekwondo at a school like this. As soon as we moved in nearby we enrolled him. Lee Brothers has remarkable instructors and they have developed our son as an athlete for almost 3 years. We have never had a single thing to feel disappointed about. Every interaction is highly satisfactory!

I have been in martial arts since I was younger and I have to say that this dojo is one of the best ones I have been a apart of. All the teachers have made a positive impact with my daughter. Couldnt ask for a better place to learn self defense.

My son wanted to join some type of martial arts school and as you know, there are plenty in Wake County to choose from. At Lee Brothers, they provide a friendly family oriented foundation and really take the necessary time needed to ensure the kids are getting their money worth. You will really get to know the instructors and make them apart of own family. Master Lee as well as his other instructors goes above and beyond with the students. It’s not about just collecting a payment every month and once you meet the “Lee Brothers Family” you will see how much they truly care. My son looks forward to going to class every week and come home to showcase what he has learned on that day. Great environment and structure. All of the teachers here are great and it is cool that some of them are school aged. This gives the kids someone they can look up to that they can relate to. I have been an on and off member of Lee Brothers for 8 years. I participate in Kickboxing and found it for the first time prior to college and had to take a break while I was in school but as soon as I graduated I came back! It is a great community-oriented environment that is welcoming and attentive to individual customer needs. Master Lee and his staff are excellent - that and the friends I have made are the reason I keep coming back and make me happy to do so. That and Kickboxing is one of the best workouts I have tried to date! It makes me sweat, I get to pummel boxing bags which does loads in the way of stress relieving, and I get to work on my flexibility and technique. All the while chatting with some of my good friends. There are worse ways to workout. I highly recommend Lee Brothers!!

My daughter and I have been taking lessons for about a year and a half. The classes for all ages at each belt level are held at the same time, so I can have class while she is in her class. The instructor are nice, but still push us to out limits. My daughter has enjoyed learning and grown more confident. It is a great place for families.

I moved to Raleigh from California just about a year ago. I joined Lee Brothers not long after in an attempt to meet some new people and get active. I couldnt have made a better choice. The teaching staff and the other members are phenomenal. Its such a family atmosphere. When my kids are old enough to start learning Tae Kwon Do, Ill absolutely sign them up. Watching everyone interact with the kids is just entirely too awesome. I can not recommend this school highly enough.

Ive been attending the kickboxing class at Lee Brothers for over ten years now and still love it! Every night the workout varies so it never seems to get dull like other exercise classes can. The instructors are very friendly and are not intimidating in the slightest. The class is a nice mixture of males & females as well as different ages. Because the class is on the smaller size you really begin to feel like a family with the people youre working out with. I strongly recommend you come try a class because once you do youll be hooked.

I started dating a life-long student of Lee Brothers in Raleigh and soon after fell in love with the staff. I joined the kick-boxing program over a year ago and recently signed up for an additional year. The kick-boxing classes are fun, intense and energetic. I am pretty tired afterwards but I feel like a million dollars! Its a great place to work out with wonderful instructors and a clean environment. You wont be disappointed!

We LOVE Lee Brothers!! My son has some special needs in regard to sensory issues, anxiety and processing information so we had concern if he was going to be able to do Tae Kwon Do. On his first night he fell in love with it and could not wait to return. However, on his second night he became overwhelmed and wanted to leave. Master Lee saw him and immediately dropped everything he was doing, lovingly took my son, talked with him and then worked one on one with him the rest of the session! I cant say enough about the wonderful staff at Lee brothers. They take the extra time with the kids and explained everything to us from the beginning. They teach the kids respect, manners and they give them lessons that they can take home as well as to school.

I spent over 5 years attending Lee Brothers with my son, starting when he was 6 years old, and it was an incredible experience. To spend 3-4 hours a week training and learning with your child and see him gain confidence and skills due to the wonderful training envirnonment at Lee Brothers was an experience that I hope every parent gets to experience.

I cannot speak on the normal martial arts daily routine but the summer camps were the worst experience for my kids. They said staff was rude, talked down to the kids, reprimanded my son for giving my other son a hug during the day, scolded my daughter for letting her feet touch the mat under the couch, didn’t want them to play table games, scolded them in van on way to bowling for touching the windows ... TOUCHING THE WINDOWS!!! As well as other issues. It’s camp! Let the kids have a little fun no!?! It wasn’t just one camp counselor and it wasn’t just one kid ... if your staff does not want to have fun and interact with a bunch of kids for summer camps then don’t put them in charge of it. Honestly that was a waste of $90 and it almost feels like Lees just thought “oh let’s cash in on this summer camp thing” and didn’t put much thought, creativity or care into taking care of people’s children for the day. Never again for us and I would advise the same for anyone else.

I transferred to Lee Brothers of Raleigh from Lee Brothers of Burlington with my two kids Jack and Sarah. The instructors and staff were OUTSTANDING during the transition and although I miss my old Taekwondo family in Burlington, I really enjoy and treasure my new one in Raleigh!!

Had a guy threaten me and they did absolutely nothing about it. During sparring, the person kicked me and I just blocked. The following day that person claimed I bruised them and threatened me. This place is a joke. Worst place for martial arts.

While involved in martial arts for over 45 years, and tae kwon do for over 30 years it was important for me when I moved to this area to find environment which perpetuated what for me with the fundamental principles of the martial art way. After exploring many do jangs Lee provided for me the environment which allowed me to continue on my path. martial art way, is for me a lifelong environment which allows me to stay centered on my lifes paths. Also for me the do jang is a microcosm of the world which allows me to enhance both my world and hopefully others as I continue on my exploration of myself.If you are looking for an environment for yourself or to introduce a younger person into a series of fundamental beliefs including the respect for others, adherence to rules, finding balance in self-discipline, and a path which can be traveled and enhance ones life you could not ask for a better place than Lee Brothers tae kwon do.

Lee Brothers continually exceeds our expectations. We initially signed up our daughter for the after school program because we loved that fact that exercise would be incorporated into her routine (something her previous after school program lacked). The benefits that we weren’t expecting were the increase in her levels of confidence, respectfulness, responsibility, and focus.One, small example of her confidence increase: We have always described our daughter as an “observer.” She isn’t always comfortable participating and certainly doesn’t like to be in the spotlight. At her most recent belt promotion ceremony, Master Kim asked her to demonstrate a strong Ki Hup for another student because hers were so loud and powerful. Our daughter did not hesitate to belt out her loudest Ki Hup in front of all the families in the Do Jahng. That is not the same child from last year!Specifically, other things we love about Lee Brothers (so far!):> The instructors/staff know every student by name. (I remember our first or second week with Lee Brothers, Master Lee, having not yet met me, asked me how our daughter was enjoying class so far. I could tell right away that he knew the students/families so well that he recognized that we were “new.)> The amazing female instructor role models for our daughter. They are strong; they are confident; they are awesome.> The positive senior student role models for our daughter. They are respectful; they are encouraging; they are dedicated.> The Extra Curricular activities. Classes and belt promotion ceremonies are not the extent of the Lee Brothers’ experience. There are Halloween parties, St. Patty’s Day Parade marches, PNOs, the Race for Education, New Year party (with chili cook-off!), family picnics, Making of a Master ceremony, and on and on.
