Been meaning to write this review for a while! I am new to Raleigh and needed a haircut desperately. I went to Salon Veritas where Ashley gave me the cutest cut and even blew it dry and added a little curl to it. My friend told me it was a “Hailey Bieber vibe” and I was so happy! Couldn’t have had that without Ashley - she is so talented and sweet. And the salon space is so airy and bright! Highly recommend.

I went to see Danielle for a facial and lash lift. I am so happy with the lash lift, they look completely different (I also have really short lashes and noticed the difference immediately). This was my first facial and I will definitely be back for more. Danielle made my little self care day a great experience. She is very friendly and easy to talk to.

I am new in Raleigh and decided to go to Ashley for a haircut and to consult about coloring my hair blonde which I had not done before. She gave me an excellent cut and was very helpful/easy to talk to about getting my hair colored. She scheduled me in for the next week and got me the exact color that I was looking for.Additionally, she was extremely authentic and great to talk to while i was getting my hair colored. She made me feel very comfortable thru the whole thing. She additionally made sure that I liked my hair and even checked in on me to make sure since it was a drastic change from all black hair.The whole salon space was all very clean/safe for those that are worried about that sort of thing. Her prices are fair and well worth it. I will definitely continue to come here in the future. If for no other reason than having a good conversation.

I’ve been coming to the salon for over a year now getting my hair done with the owner Ashley McCauley. I’m in love with my hair. But I wanted to write this review to say how clean and safe I feel coming in after COVID, it’s a house and they have separate rooms. So you don’t come in contact with a lot of people. They have A beautiful porch to wait on until your stylus is ready for you. Very clean and very safe. They are doing a great job social distancing and making sure their clients are completely safe and protected. Not to mention it’s beautiful in there and you leave with your hair looking amazing.

Salon Veritas is truly one of Raleigh’s gems. Ashley, the owner has mastered her craft and offers a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Expect nothing but walking away with hair that leaves you feeling confident. Don’t forget to get a spray tan before you leave. Jared is amazing for mens cuts! He has been my stylist for years and never disappoints. I will drive out of my way to come and see him every time! If you are looking for a professional establishment this is it!

My husband and I have been coming to Salon Veritas for several years. Ashley is the best stylist! We only trust her to do our haircut and color since we know itll always be done to our satisfaction. She knows her stuff, only uses the best and safest products for your hair and treats you like you matter. We drive 30 mins one way just to have her cut and color our hair. Highly recommend if you want a high quality salon experience at a reasonable price.

Ashley has been my hairstylist for over 8 years! After moving back to Raleigh, from living several years in Dubai and Prague, it took me a few tries to find someone who really knew “hair”. Thank goodness I found Ashley. She always has great ideas for changing up my hair. I constantly get compliments on my color, cut and style. I also feel safe going to her during Covid. She complies with all rules and takes precautions to make sure you are safe. The salon is located in a house so I am in a separate room with Ashley and no one else. Also, she has a great, relaxing front porch to sit on while waiting to be notified of your appointment. I highly recommend her!!

Everyone HAS to have Jared color their hair. He did the BEST blonde highlights I’ve ever had done. So well blended and beautiful! He’s also so so fun to chat with throughout the process. Overall a 1000/10 and would recommend to ANYONE and EVERYONE! Cannot wait time go back!!

This was such a wonderful experience! I had extensions done by Ashley. I love them! They look amazing! The best part it was so much fun. The salon is clean and so comfortable. He prices for extensions is the best you will find. When you leave you look and feel great and you know everything you need to know to care for your new look! 10 out of 10 will be a return client!!

I started coming to Ashley at the beginning of this year and am so happy with my hair! She is very experienced and doesn’t over charge like many other studios do. They have done such a great job with keeping their clients safe and the space clean. Everyone was wearing a mask and could tell they were taking extra time with cleaning in between clients. Prior to going to Salon Veritas I had visited numerous salons to find the perfect stylist. When I called I initially spoke with Ashley (salon owner) , and she asked a few questions to determine what I was looking for. Too many salons just will put you with the next available , and not pairing you with someone who has mastery in what you are looking for. My hair I dont ask for anything fancy just a fade on the side and finger length on the top. Too many people in todays market just dont blend well. Every few months I also find myself coloring my hair for a little change. After giving these details of what I need from a stylist to Ashley she connected me with Jared. In speaking with him he has over 10 years experience in color and cuts, and is reasonably priced for someone who has that much experience. Each time I visit the salon its clean , and welcoming. Each stylist has a large window in their room to see all angles of your hair and coloring , and ensure its what you asked for before you leave. She fixed my cut to exactly what I wanted and does amazing job on color.I love her time management skills as well, I know when I make an appointment how long Ill be there. With all the recent covid rules, I feel safe at Salon Veritas,and often because I go early, we are the only ones there which is great. I highlyRecommend it.

I have been getting THE B E S T spray tans from Ashley. She customizes the color to best suit my natural skin tone and desired depth of the finished tan. I am always surprised at how fast the procedure is and how comfortable Ashley makes me feel being undressed. She offers a package deal of 6 spray tans, and it saved me a great deal!

I don’t even know where to begin...this salon has everything that I have ever wanted In a salon plus more! It is so incredibly hard to find a place downtown that is reasonably priced plus gives you the royal treatment. I have a tough time because of my high maintenance red hair and how often I need touch ups. Jared is a magician when it comes to making me feel & look like the opposite of the exhausted, stressed out, faded, fake redhead that I am! He has been the ONLY one to get my hair that perfect shade of red(that doesn’t look like Ronald McDonald or from a $2 box of haircolor) that everyone else fails to give me. Not only does he work his magic with my color but, he doesn’t style my hair like I just time traveled straight out of the 70s. I have never left a salon without having to go back home to restyle my hair. Not with Jared! I seriously won’t let anyone else do my hair for the rest of my redheaded days. I can’t recommend this place or Jared enough!

Jarod is amazing! I came to him with horrendous auburn hair colored from a box, and asked him to turn me into a natural looking blonde. He was able to transform my hair to a gorgeous honey blonde at the first visit! He is a hair genius! He will always be the one I come to if I have to cut/blow out/highlight my hair.

I came across Salon Veritas one day while walking around downtown with my husband getting acquainted with the area. I thought the salon was adorable and decided to give it a try. I really hate leaving poor reviews and I have contemplated actually posting this, but this one experience has haunted me for MONTHS and I think it should be shared. My problem isn’t really with the salon itself, it’s with one of the stylists. I had seen this stylist once or twice before. She did a great job with my hair and I was excited to come back. I show up to my appointment about 10 mins early. She wasn’t ready but I thought no big deal since I was early! I ended up waiting for her for about 25-30 minutes past my appointment time. When she finally comes in to greet me, I could tell something was off. Her words were a little slurred but I didn’t think anything of it initially.She takes me to the back to get shampooed and we’re having a conversation as you do, and all of a sudden she stops responding and shampooing my hair. I look up and she’s asleep!! Alarm bells really start going off at this point. Is she on something? Maybe she’s just tired? Either way, she was not fit to be at work. She told me she didn’t get any sleep the night before but this seemed more than just her being tired. Against my better judgement, I let her cut my hair because I didn’t know what to do or say. I was freaking out. She was swaying all over the place while she was cutting my hair. I was scared she was going to collapse on the floor. At this point it wasn’t about my hair, my thought was is this person okay? There was another girl working too and I really don’t understand how she didn’t notice this behavior. I couldn’t have gotten out of there fast enough and I haven’t gone back since. Again, this has more to do with the stylist than the salon itself. But I feel like it’s the salon’s responsibility to make sure their employees are conscious enough to do their jobs.

I have loved every cut and color I’ve gotten at Salon Veritas with Ashley and she’s been my stylist for years now. I’ve asked for a vibrant and rich reddish-purple color before that turned out perfect and then have asked for a mix of highlights that would blend well over time as I grew my natural color back out and 6-9 months later, it still looks completely intentional. Highly recommend! :)

I have never gotten a better airbrush spray tan in all of Raleigh, and let me tell you that I have been to a lot of places. Alexa is a master at her craft. Her tans are long-lasting and most importantly they look natural no matter how dark you go! I am a pale redhead and have received compliments from strangers about my tan. The fact that she does amazing facials and virtually painless waxes is icing on the cake. Go see Alexa!!! You will NOT regret it.

My hair never feels damaged and is always so soft despite the chemical processes. I love that Molly takes extra time to show me how to properly care for my hair at home everytime. She shows me how to curl it and style it and even gives me tips over the phone when I’m having a meltdown. Shes given me beautiful pixie cuts and manages my hair as it grew back in. I was in town for a conference this past week when I realized that I hadn’t had a cut in almost a year. I can only get my hair cut when I’m on the road as I have a small child at home. I’m not always impressed with my hair when I just “pop up” at a random out of town local salon. I leave disappointed everytime but luckily I found salon Veritas bc it was close to my hotel and the ladies there were so accommodating! The girl who answered the phone was so polite and went out of her way to get me in. My stylist, Molly, was wonderful. She was professional and listened to all of my concerns! I left feeling beautiful and loving my hair more than I ever thought I could! Next time I’m in Raleigh....I’ll def be back to see Molly and if you’re local, you should do the same

Alexa was very persofessonal during my first cooter waxing... not something I was too excited about doing. She did how ever make me feel very comfortable and was very gentle. Alexa has also been doing my lashes for about a year now and she has a great eye for making your lashes accentuate your eyes! They hold great and they are so fluffy but not fake looking! I never have to wear makeup. I’ve been to other places where they do a messy job or do let’s say a “ghetto” job. Alexa is far from that she’s very knowledgeable and helps me keep my lashes long lasting! This is one technician I could never leave! I recommend going to see Lex for any of your needs.
