I did the Shadow Program with Method K9 and it was AMAZING! I am already an established dog trainer in Southern California and didn’t think I would learn much. I am very happy to say I was SO wrong. I learned a new method of training I have never heard of before. The knowledge and professionalism of this company is completely unmatched. Stephanie and her team have this down literally to a science, I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything like it! The curriculum was put together beautifully and was taught masterfully. I cannot express how grateful I am to this company. They truly care about the dogs and have found the best way to train. It is fair, tactful, and actually makes sense! If you are thinking about a career in dog training, or already are a dog trainer, this course is a MUST! The price for what you learn is more than fair and it has already paid for itself. Absolutely no regrets! Thank you Stephanie and team for being advocates for all dogs and being willing to share your valuable knowledge!

If we had only one word to describe Method K9, it would be “LIFESAVING”! Our Georgie had behavioral issues that went way beyond sending him for obedience training. Georgie needed behavioral rehab by people who understood his issues and would do whatever it took to help him to be the good boy we knew he wanted to be. After his board and train, he returned a new dog, George 2.0 if you will. The trainers at Method K9 are top notch and the absolute best at what they do. They gave us our Georgie back, and for that we are eternally grateful. We would recommend Method K9 to anyone who asks. We will sing their praises from the rooftops if need be!! ❤️❤️❤️

We adopted our dog Sunny from a rescue in Texas and quickly realized that she a lot more issues then we initially realized. She was incredibly anxious, scared of anyone new, and would plant her feet and refuse to go on walks. Even if we could get her to walk down the street the minute we would turn for home she would pull on the leash like a freight train to get back to her safe space. The breaking point that made me search for professional help was after she bit our other dog over a bone. I found Method K9 on social media and quickly realized that if we wanted her to make any sort of progress, she would need more than just your basic training. We signed her up for their 8 week board and train program, and drove from Vancouver, WA to Post Falls to drop her off. The progress we saw week by week was amazing and Stephanie and her team did an amazing job of sending us weekly update videos so we could keep track of her progress. The tools we were provided with so we could be successful once she returned home were immaculate. The team at Method K9 have a way of understanding your dog in a way that I have never found anywhere else. We can now take Sunny on walks and out and about with our family and she loves everyone who walks through our door. We have the ability and tools to manage her anxiety and help her work through it. I would highly recommend Method K9 to anyone who needs training for their dog, whether it be their online courses or for behavior issues, you wont be disappointed!

I am the proud mama of two young huskies. With that job came a lot of chaos in our house. Taking them for walks, taking them in public or to other people’s homes was at one time a daunting and exhausting task. They were pushy, hyper, refused to sit still, had no concept of manners, and pulled on the leash like it was their job (well, it is, but I’m not a sled 😊).After realizing we needed some help, we enrolled them both in the 6 week board and train program. Now, they walk on a leash together in a perfect heel. They sit on place bed while we eat dinner and have guests over. They can be off leash with us and recall on point (even when the neighbor cat passes by).Method K9 helped our dogs reach their potential. Thank you!

Method K9 is amazing and I can’t recommend Stephanie and her incredible team enough!I chose Method K9 because I love their philosophy on training. They get to know each unique dog and understand what their issues are to address the root cause. My dog, Frankie was an anxious girl who reacted to anything on wheels and did not listen at all if she were off-leash. Living in a big city I had extreme anxiety everyday that if she were to get loose (which has happened) something bad would happen.Despite having the utmost confidence in Method K9, I was still nervous to drop Frankie off. Those nerves immediately dissipated after doing the in-take with Stephanie. She exudes passion, kindness, and confidence. I left knowing Frankie was in the best of hands.Over the course of Frankie’s training, Stephanie and her amazing team gave us the tools to overcome her reactivity and even trained Frankie to be off-leash as well!I loved Method K9s program because not only did they train Frankie, but they trained me as well. While Frankie was training, I was receiving educational videos on everything she was learning so I would have the knowledge to continue all their amazing work. The most important thing I learned was how to advocate for Frankie and show her she can trust me to keep her safe. Lastly, I loved that before taking Frankie home, I was on-site for multiple days to get hands-on training experience (ty Lauren!).Method K9’s training has increased mine and Frankie’s quality of life immensely and I can’t thank them enough!!

Stephanie is amazing. Her knowledge and creativity have helped thousands of dogs lead full, and productive lives. Her presentations are engaging, interesting and at times funny maintaining interest of the shadow students. Her methods are designed to meet the needs, issues and personalities of the individual dog she and her staff are working with, not a blanket course. Before getting a puppy I knew I would need help with training as I dont know where to even start. Luckily I ended up in Northern Idaho and with very little research found Method K9. They had excellent reviews and were responsive in communicating with me. My first phone call with Julius was an hour long discussion about what relationship I wanted with my dog and what I was looking for. This made me feel much more comfortable sending her to them for an extended period and knowing she would be well taken care of. Throughout Avas training the team updated me and sent me progress videos. But what I found most valuable was the videos and education they provided me with to learn as Ava was learning. The hands on help we received at the end, when we reunited was comfortable and fabulous. I was encouraged throughout my stumblings with Hope and Ava (the trainer). Ava has been home now for 6 months and I am so happy with her continued progress with the tools we have been provided. I am able to walk downtown on busy streets and know I have a sound dog, we can play fetch in the park and she has more interest in me than anything else going on. They provided us with the tools to live a social, adventurous lifestyle where Ava can go everywhere with me.

Ive never felt more eager to share a review and reference for any business or service I have ever received. I have a 3 year old German Shepherd named Dakota, who I was lucky enough to rescue before he was euthanized. Dakota is 85lbs and is as sweet as they come, but is absolutely terrified of other dogs, and when seeking help in properly addressing his fears and reactivity, I found Method K9. I am here to tell anyone listening, there is no better decision than to seek help when needed and there is NO BETTER OPTION in THE WORLD, than Method K9. Stephanie and her team are cut from a different cloth; they are committed to each and every dog they train in numerous ways beyond any other trainers I have ever seen. They take the time necessary to learn each specific dogs mindset, creating a safe environment where real root causes for fear, anxiety, reactivity, and aggression can be addressed in comprehensive ways to benefit true behavioral rehabilitation in dogs (and owners alike). What I personally learned through the 8 week board and train process with Dakota was even more eye opening and helpful than I could have ever hoped, and the METHOD through which we (Dakota and I) are now able to live through all stressors and formerly-terrifying-moments of reactivity and fear, makes every single reference I have already given and will continue to provide to ALL, absolutely worth it.

Recently our dog Blue (5 yr old German Shepard) had a seven week board and train stay with Stephanie and the team of Method K9. We were so impressed by the level of professionalism, heart and skill that this team has. Weekly updates and videos of our boys progress and training during his stay were provided to us and they also provided high quality training for ourselves on how to continue to work with Blue to keep the training that he learned in tune.To give some background, Blue was not the average dog, he had extreme anxiety issues. Taking him for a walk or a trip to the park was challenging and a stressful event for him. Blue just couldn’t wait to get back home to his safe place and out of the stressful and scary world. He pulled on the leash, he wouldn’t take treats or eat food while on a walk or at the park. He wouldn’t even fetch a ball. His head would be on a swivel and he would try to bolt at any chance he could get. We’ve had Blue since he was a puppy and old enough to leave the litter, nothing known made him this way. We discovered Method K9 by seeing their YouTube channel and were given hope that Blue could be given a chance to become a normal dog. This has become a reality as we invested in Blue and trusted Stephanie and team with our beloved family member.Update: Blue now goes on daily walks and enjoys them, as do we. Blue goes to the park regularly and chases/fetches his ball and eats his meals there. Blue is much more settled in his own home and no longer barks at little noises or the flashes of lights by passing cars. Blue does well and is relaxed in the car and nail trimming is a calm time and done with ease. Blue is becoming a normal dog and now living his best life and we are forever grateful to the wonderful staff at Method K9 for helping Blue and us.Side note: Blue was given a nickname by his trainers “Bluebird” and it is so fitting to his personality that we continue to call him that at times.

I found Method K9 while searching for a dog trainer who met my values as far as leadership, trust and respect. After coming across Method K9 on Instagram it was clear to me that Stephanie and her team embodied the qualities that I valued. The depth of her understanding of dog behavior and behavior modification was undeniable. Her method is so eloquently laid out. I decided to attend the shadow program to further my understanding of dog behavior and strengthen my skills as a dog trainer. The knowledge and experience gained from the shadow program was invaluable to my knowledge and skills as a dog trainer. It’s one thing to be the best of the best but it’s another thing to be able to teach others. Stephanie is not only a patient and thoughtful dog trainer and rehab specialist but she is also an amazing educator. This speaks to her truly gifted talent.

Worth the wait!! We adopted Hera last June. Never did we think Covid would have such a lasting impact on training our puppy. We knew that with her breed and our inexperience, we would need classes and training help. Unfortunately many trainers were shut down or so swamped with new dog owners it was difficult to get in. We found a different trainer that had an opening so we jumped on it. After leaving the second of five classes crying and frustrated, we never went back. I had been following MethodK9 since we decided we wanted to adopt a dog. I had already purchased the online courses, which are GREAT, but we needed more help. The second they announced in person classes starting again, we signed up. So glad we did. I never left class feeling frustrated or defeated. Stephanie and her training staff taught us how to work with our dog. Have we been perfect with our training, no. Is Hera a perfect puppy now, no. Do we have the tools we need to build upon to become successful, YES. While Stephanie makes it look easy, she knows it is not and her and her staff are there for you with any questions, concerns, extra help, and encouragement. We have already signed up for the intermediate class and cant wait to continue learning how to be the best dog owners we can be. I highly recommend MethodK9 for any dog of any age and any owner.

Stephanie, Hope and all of the team at Method K9 are amazing. As far as I am concerned they are miracle workers. We rescued a 1.5 year old German Shepherd who, after a few months we realized, had more than likely been abused in his previous life. He started biting, wouldnt let anyone touch him, attacked our other dogs, growled at everyone and everything, was dog reactive, human reactive, reactive in general. We did not know what to do. We were afraid he was going to bite someone and have to be put down. He had to be muzzled all of his waking hours or confined to a crate. After his 8 week board and train with Method K9, he became a new dog. He is hardly ever reactive to anone or anything, he lets us touch him, trim his nails, he walks by our side, and the best part is he now seeks affection from us. We decided to take one of our other dogs to the in person training class and then to do board and train with Method. She is now a calmer happier dog. One of the best parts is when you need help after you take your dog home, Method K9 is there for you. Emails, calls, and even home visits to help with any issues that arise. I cannot recommend them enough. I have neighbors who switched to Method K9 after they saw the transformation in my GSD. It is well worth the money. Thank you again Method K9! I believe you saved Seamuss life.

A year ago today after: Echo spent 10 weeks in Method K9’s Board & Train program, MN covid19 lockdown, spending all my savings, and 88+ hrs of driving between MN & ID 4 times, we finally made it home. It was rough, but I never doubted for a moment that I made the right decision to trust Method K9 with my dog.Echo was a strange pup. He never liked being pet or cuddled, and was always hyperactive when we had guests over, went on walks, or met other dogs. As he got older these traits developed into behavioral concerns. He was possessive over food, obnoxious and pushy with guests, and would push past you and run out the door any chance he got. He would try to attack other dogs on walks, and would turn on me if he couldn’t get to them. I couldn’t brush him or do his nails without being nipped and scratched. I was afraid to leave him with anyone, and I was always stressed. I felt like a failure as a dog mom, and I had no idea what I was doing wrong, or how to fix it.I read books on dog behavior and training, and practically every book by Cesar Millan. I had a behavioral consults done with a professional trainer and with a behavioral specialist at my vet clinic. Each time he would improve in basic obedience, but not aggression. He was still biting me, my family, strangers who passed us on trails, and other dogs. And he couldn’t go to the vet without being so drugged I practically had to carry him into the clinic. I was at my wits end.It was around the time of his second behavioral consult, I saw a sponsored ad on Instagram for Method K9. And when I started researching board & train programs for Echo, I could only find 3 programs that would take a dog with a bite record, one of which was Method K9. I could already tell I proffered Method K9 to other programs because of the way they presented themselves on social media and on their website, and most of all how Stephanie (the owner of Method K9) talked about dogs. I reached out, and Stephanie set me up for an interview to see if Echo and I were a good fit for their program. After speaking with her, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that they were by far the best choice. She was the first trainer I talked to that explained things in a way I could understand. She was informative, passionate, and left me feeling hopeful for the first time in years. Not only did Method K9 train Echo while he was in the program, but they trained me. I learned about the history of dogs and their behaviors, how to advocate for my dog, how to properly praise and correct my dog, and so much more. The entire time he was in the program, they sent me videos of Echo’s training sessions so I could see he was doing well, and see how they were training him. It was incredible to see him grow and improve and be the happy pup he was meant to be.When it was time for him to come home, I was very nervous I would mess up all the work they had done. But we did several days of in-person training, and let me know it is important for both Echo and I to make mistakes, because that is how we learn. They made sure I had an arsenal of knowledge on how to train my dog on a daily basis, and on how to fix other behavioral issues should they arise. And if I am ever out of my depth, I can reach out to Method K9 for help and they are there to answer my questions via email, phone or through personalized skype/zoom training.A year later, Echo is an entirely different dog. Instead of bringing me stress, he brings me joy. I have never seen him happier. His days are structured with training, play time, exercise, and downtime. I am proud to report I can walk him off-leash and he will stay in “heel” when instructed, he always comes when called, he is no longer possessive over food, he stays in place when we have guests, enjoys cuddling, asks for face rubs, and hasn’t bitten any dogs or humans since returning home! There is absolutely no way I could ever express how incredibly grateful I am to Method K9. Thank you Stephanie, Hope and Ava, you saved Echo, and by default you saved me too.

I absolutely recommend Method k9 for anyone struggling with their dog trying to navigate day to day life. Our Siberian husky pup struggles with aggression& extreme pushiness on top of usual husky stubborness . Any task from walking to nail trim was a Herculean task . The Board & train program changed our dog and us totally. Stephanie taught us that every single action counts, training is not something we turn on for an hour  & tune off rest of the day. Our pup now listens to us as the communication is simplified. Training & the tools we receive is extremely helpful and any additional guidance we need is an email away. Since our pup is back home everyday has been much more peaceful , all outdoor trips are pleasant. Method k9 team puts in a lot of work to get to know what every dog & their owners struggle with and the results show.  We truly cannot thank them enough.

I can’t thank Stephanie and her staff at Method K9 enough, our daily life with our dog has improved so much for the better. If you are looking for a trainer that has the skills and knowledge to work with reactive and aggressive dogs and is great with their owners too, I highly recommend Stephanie and Method K9.I first met Stephanie from Method K9 at a seminar in Redmond WA. I knew that I had finally met a trainer that was going to be able to help me with my dog’s reactivity and aggression and not just teach obedience. Indigo is a mini Aussie, he came to us when he was 8 weeks old. From the very beginning he struggled with being around people (including biting) and other dogs. I had always thought that aggressive dogs were taught to be that way or had gone through some kind of abuse, but what I learned from Indigo is that is not always the case. I started working with trainers and yes, Indigo did learn all of his obedience commands, but that did nothing to reduce his fear, anxiety, and reactivity. Our lives became complicated trying to keep guests safe in our home and finding places to exercise Indigo, where there weren’t other people and dogs around. I had friends telling me that I should find him a new home or put him down, both of those options would have crushed my heart so I persisted on.I decided to contact Stephanie about her board and train program. It has been the best decision I have ever made concerning Indigo. Indigo went through their eight week program. I would describe Indigo now as having the same personality but he has new skills and I have new tools to work with. Since he has returned home he is doing great on our daily structured walks, he no longer pulls and lounges and I look forward to going out with him. He is calmer and quieter in our home. He is doing much better with company and we are continuing his training to help him feel safe around people he doesn’t know.I have always dreamt of taking Indigo hiking and to the beach. This last week we went to the ocean for a few days. We stayed in a hotel, we rode elevators, passed other dogs and people in the hallway without incident. The best part was taking him to the beach and letting him just be a dog, running and playing in the ocean. None of this would have been possible without Stephanie and Method K9. We are forever grateful.

I attended the March/April 2021 Shadow Program and I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie and the whole team at Method K9. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, experienced and they truly and genuinely care about their clients, both human and canine. Their focus is on fixing the dogs behavioral problems from the inside out essentially, utilizing their vast knowledge of dog psychology and behavior, instead of masking deep seeded issues with flashy obedience. Stephanie has a knack for explaining things in a way that anyone can understand and makes you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Stephanie and her team at Method K9 for any issues you might be experiencing with your dog, they are truly the best!

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about MethodK9! I have a 2 year old Doberman girl that struggles with fear-reactivity, bad social skills, and is just generally insecure. She is the sweetest love-bug in the house but she would growl-lunge-bark at everything outside the house that scared her; people, dogs, birds, planes, telephone poles, etc...basically almost everything. We went to a couple of “pure-positive” trainers who were completely hands-off and the best advice they could give us was to pretty much avoid situations that stressed her out. This eventually led to her never leaving the home; the OPPOSITE of what I had envisioned for us.I found MethodK9 on the suggestion of a friend. After being on the “pure-positive” bandwagon, it took me about 6 months of following them on social media and seeing their methods work wonders on dog after dog with intense behavioral issues to come around. I contacted them about Board and Train when I realized my Indie and I could be living a much better life together and I didn’t want to put that off any longer. IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS/PURCHASES I HAVE EVER MADE! It may seem like a lot to some but I honestly feel it was worth FAR more than what they charged me for it, and that’s coming from someone who works as a waitress. Not only did I get back a much more calm and confident dog but two months later she is still continuing to improve! They not only trained her but they also taught me everything she learned in B&T and how to maintain and further her training once she came home. Because of their training Indie and I have much better communication and trust, and our bond is the strongest its ever been by far! Her focus and enthusiasm for training have also greatly improved. I now take her to walk in the park every day, something I was told by previous trainers that she would probably never be able to do, and she is always one of the best behaved dogs there and gets soooo many compliments. I take her into the pet store with me. I take her on walks at the very busy waterfront. I take her on hikes. We are able to play and explore off leash now as well. I even have a couple of camping trips lined up for us which is something Ive always wanted to do with her and now finally can!The huge thing to me is that in all these situations she is not merely suppressing bad behaviors, SHE IS GENUINELY CALM, CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE! I constantly watch her body language closely and seeing her able to genuinely relax, trust my guidance, and not worry about the world is absolutely incredible to me. Thank you so much Stephanie, Hope, and Ava. You legitimately changed our lives!

Absolutely incredible work they do with the dogs, the three questions I always wonder when sending my dog to training is how much is my dog actually going to learn, how will they treat him, and how is this better than a cheaper option. They exceeded my expectations by a mile.My dog Russell went from uncontrollable energy and fear at everything he saw to calm cool and collected, they were able to get anxious tendencies out that I had no idea you could train out of a dog. What they do at method K9 is so much more than just teaching commands like sit and stay but instead really taking the time to understand the psychological aspec of the dog and helping them learn their role in the world.I also knew after picking him up that they really bonded with my dog and treated him well. By the calls and conversations I had while Russell was in their care I knew they were getting to know him and all of his goofy quirks and not treating him like hes just another dog and a paycheck.Method K9 is by far the best place Ive ever sent my dog to, not only did they do an entire transformation on my dog, but they also taught me how to be a much better dog owner. The people down at Method K9 are definitely world class trainers and youll have a hard time finding someone that can mimic what they do there, I highly recommend and will definitely be sending any dogs I get in the future to them!

The main reason we brought our GShepherd Ace to Method K9 was because of his aggressive behavior to other dogs. We now have a dog that is very well trained, and we also have been trained to support him in his ingrained fear of other dogs. We now know how to introduce him to other dogs in a way that ultimately results in peaceful cohabitation. We have also enjoyed many other benefits of his training in our every day lives with Ace. We continue to reinforce the training that Ace had on a daily basis, and we can see Ace think before he reacts - an amazing transformation. A very worth while investment in a family member that will be such a huge part of our life going forward.

He is listening so much better and now sees me as a person of authority. I feel confident having people over to my house again and taking this foster dog out in public. The other day, we were sitting on a patio having coffee and a child started walking towards us. My foster dog just continued to lay next to me and looked up at me for direction. In the past he would have began barking and lunging at this child. Thank you so much Method K9! Without your help, I would have been lost in this process!

This company is wonderful. Last summer I signed Charlie, our border collie mix, up for their board and train program. Since adopting Charlie about 3.5 years ago, it has not possible for her to be around other dogs. I wasnt even able to walk her without fear of running into another dog or something that would trigger her. Her aggression, fear and reactivity toward other dogs was unmanageable. After Board and Train, her manners and coping mechanisms with stressful situations have taken a complete 180. During the process we were given videos to learn what Charlie was learning. It really helped me to adjust my mind set and deal with the anxiety I had about taking her into unknown situations. We now are able to enjoy multiple walks a day and she continues to improve all the time. Currently she is learning to coexist with my boyfriends dogs and is coming out her shell enough to PLAY with them. The time and effort they put into their work shows and I am grateful for them every single day! Charlies quality of life has improved drastically and we couldnt have done that without Method K9.

It’s taken some time to find the words to express the gratitude I have for Stephanie and her team. Our family feels so blessed to have found them at the right time. Not only did she rehab Remi and teach us the proper methods to communicate and guide him through life, but she also helped us build the confidence we needed as dog owners. There were so many frustrating months where we were trying to figure out how to train Remi on our own. So many embarrassing and stressful field trips outside, attempting to communicate with him. To show him that this world isn’t as scary as it seems. Throughout that time our confidence as dog owners was crumbling. We felt defeated. However as soon as we dropped Remi off for his board and train, there was a sense of relief, knowing that we’re not alone. Knowing that there was now so much support around us, from Stephanie and her staff. It was this sense of relief telling us “okay, we got this!”Since then, Remi continues to slowly grow and reach further heights. You wouldn’t be able to recognize the terrified pup we dropped off. As we work on our communication and advocate for him, his confidence grows.I can’t thank Method K9 enough. Not only for saving Remi and giving us the tools to communicate with him, but for providing a community for those who want to give their dogs the best life they can, no matter where their starting may be.

We highly recommend Method K9 to anyone struggling with their dogs!Stephanie and the team at Method K9 are very knowledgable, patient, responsive and trustworthy. We struggled with our Akita, Lhotse, since she was a puppy with certain behaviors like lunging on walks at other dogs, zero recall, nervous and anxious anytime we left our yard, and she had nipped a family member (which is the point when we knew we needed to learn and work through these issues with a trainer who specializes in fearful and reactive dogs). Previously we had done two levels of basic obedience classes at a local pet store, but we weren’t addressing the issues we were really struggling with.We did a lot of research to find effective and trustworthy board and train programs. The positive reviews of Method K9 made us feel comfortable considering them as an option, and after some discussions with Stephanie we knew board and train with them was the right fit for us. She is so helpful and quick to respond throughout the entire process. We chose to go through the 8-week board and train program and we are so grateful we did! During the 8 weeks we got video and email updates, and anytime we reached out we always got quick responses. The team at Method K9 truly care about the well-being of the dogs they work with which was very evident by the way they interacted with Lhotse. Not only did Lhotse gain SO many skills, but so did we as dog owners. We were given a lot of resources to study during the program which was so helpful, and we still refer to often. We feel well equipped to continue our training at home after Lhotse graduated board and train, and we also know if we are struggling at all we can call for help and or follow up visits. Our life and relationship with Lhotse has significantly improved since board and train! We have gained the skills and knowledge to be able to recall her successfully, loose leash walking, go out in public places calmly and confidently without lunging, and now know how to handle situations that used to be incredibly uncomfortable and worrisome for us (such as guests visiting our home, us visiting family members houses). We now train everyday and give Lhotse a lot of structure to continue improving our skills using the tools from Method K9.We love Method K9 and highly recommend their services.

I had a very bossy puppy that was making life miserable for her two aged sisters and myself. I was at my wits end on how to cope with her. Method K9 came highly recommended and I enrolled her in their boarding program. Marigold came home a changed puppy and I learned how to keep her that way. I have followed on how to work with her religiously, and she in turn has stayed a delightful well mannered little dog.

I usually don’t find too much value in dog training videos but, the way that Stephanie explains things just makes sense. I recently completed the Leash Reactivity online course and found it FANTASTIC. It laid a great foundation, described the tools necessary, and provided multiple techniques depending on the dog’s issues. I was EXCITED to try these techniques with my dog who has had EXTREME walk issues in the past (to the point of me being completely embarrassed to walk him). We have now started walking regularly and he is doing amazing! I feel like I have tools and tricks for anything we may encounter and - THEY WORK! So grateful for this course. Definitely money well spent and I look forward to enrolling in others!

I only wish I had found them sooner! Do not think twice. Method K9 is the real deal. Stephanie is a dog whisperer and the Method K9 team completely transformed my dogs and my relationship with them. One suffered from severe anxiety and fear aggressiveness towards dogs and people. He had been on anxiety medication for years. The other is a rescue who was never properly socialized with other dogs. They fed off each others bad behaviors and fought often. The situation in our house was out of control. Stephanie started to help even before she met the dogs. On our first phone call, she took the time to assess the situation and gave me advice on how to keep the dogs under control until their board and training started a few months later. The dogs stayed with her for 8 weeks. I still cannot believe how much they have changed. Method K9 taught them how to deal with their anxiety and impulse control. They can now enjoy the world around them instead of fearing every living thing. Stephanie also taught me how to better communicate with the dogs, see the world from their point of view, and build trust between us. Her training videos taught me how to create structure in our routine so that the dogs can have more confidence and trust. The dogs are completely comfortable in each others presence and were all having a lot more fun together!

I can’t say enough great things about Method K9. I’ve been using their online basic training and it has made a world of difference in my dog Archie. I was initially nervous because Archie is a small dog, and for some reason I thought that would make a difference. It did not! Archie is a nervous guy with some past trauma and with Method K9 training he is learning to slow down and live his best life. He used to pull me on walks like a sled dog, but now walks happily by my side. I’m really looking forward to diving into the leash reactivity course. I’d 10000000% recommend this company and these people to any dog owners whether you need some basic training or have a severe case with your dog. ❤️❤️

Method K9 board & train is an incredible value and lifelong gift. We were fortunate enough to have our one year old Pua spend 6 six weeks in the highly capable hands of the Method K9 team. She began her journey a bit pushy, anxious and demonstrating pretty high levels of stress. The running in the yard, pacing, running in circles, squeaking balls repeatedly….oh my goodness. We had German Shepard’s previously, but none like this little girl who seemed to be incredibly high maintenance!Stephanie assured me Pua was just young, and needed some boundaries. It was hard to leave her, but we completely believe in Stephanie’s training philosophy and we needed and wanted better for the lifetime of our Pua.We were happy to receive the weekly YouTube updates. When it was time to pick Pua up and receive our training we were extremely pleased with the results of the training, the follow up training and the ability to ask any questions. If you’re ready to commit to your pup, you will have a lifetime of pleasure!

I cant begin to express how thankful we are to have found Stephanie and Method K-9! I only wish wed found them sooner. We have two 80+ lbs English Labs that were ruling our household and no idea how to train them. Redford has some anxiety issues and Sierra is a young pushy lab. After the 6 week board and train program, we have two well behaved fur babies and we have the tools, education and motivation to continue working and training them on our own. Stephanie and her team have changed all of our lives for the better. Walking our dogs is a totally different experience for all of us. No more pulling, no more zig zagging, no more barking at other dogs or people. One person can walk both dogs together and I never thought that would be possible. I could go on and on about how Method K-9s board and train has changed mine and my husbands lives, but whats more important is that the skills our dogs have learned will change their lives because they will be able to join us on so many more outings because they these new skills. Thank you Stephanie, Julius and the entire Method K-9 team.

Method K9 is so much more than dog training. We adopted Rex from a rescue in an area known for breeding fighting dogs. No one would foster him, no one would adopt him. We knew that he had some issues to work through. He was not kid friendly and he was dog reactive.Initially he was cuddly and quiet, polite on leash, and he would come when called, for the most part.As time went on though, we saw all of his troubles. He started to get WAY more alert, running to the door every time someone came over. We saw his reactivity and aggression (lunging, growling, barking) towards kids at a family get together. He started to really pull on walks, and he got more vocal, growling and barking a lot. He would seem fine and calm one minute and then all of a sudden he was barking and lunging at someone we had been talking to for 5 minutes. We had no idea what brought on the change in behavior or what was going on with him.We found Stephanie and Method K9 before we started fostering Rex. We live in CT and they are out in ID, so the distance was significant. But after 5 months of having Rex and watching him struggle more and more we knew we needed to get him some help. There are MANY other dog training facilities MUCH closer to us than MethodK9. We spoke with trainers in MA, NH, and NY, but we just knew that we needed to go to Method K9.The trip was 2,600 miles and took us 40 hours driving. We dropped our boy off for an 8 week board and train, which was so tough to do, but Stephanie and her team made us feel welcomed, and loved, and we were confident that we were doing the right thing. While Rex was doing his work for 8 weeks, we had hours and hours of homework to do ourselves. We were watching videos from Method K9 that broke down every aspect of Rex’s training, why they do what they do, how they do it, common problems people encounter, etc. We learned about psychology and where reactivity and aggression come from. How to correctly advocate for your dog. How to make sure they continue to be successful every day. The board and train program was just as much for US as people as it was for Rex.It’s hard to be away from your pup for two months, but we were impressed from the get-go. We were seeing him do stuff on video that we never thought he would be able to do. He was going on walks NEXT TO other dogs and not being reactive or aggressive at all. He was in public, surrounded by people of all ages, and dogs, and he was just chilling. Never in a million years did I think I would see that, knowing where he was before we brought him across the country. We spent two in-person days training with Stephanie and Rex at the end of his 8 week program. She trained us on all the things Rex learned, and we got to take Rex through all the drills and training exercises that we were committed to continuing every day. HE became fully capable of being a great dog, and it was up to us to keep him that way. Method K9 takes the time to make sure you understand why they do what they do, and why you play such a central role in your dog’s continued success. We have such a better understanding now of WHY Rex was acting the way he was. We can confidently advocate for him and keep him safe through all the encounters that used to get him riled up. He can trust us, and we can make sure he stays at ease.We can’t thank Stephanie and her team at Method K9 enough.

During our 8 week boarding program, they gave Echo and most importantly us all the tools we needed to make sure Echo could navigate everyday life! They give you everything you need to continue to work with your dog throughout their life to handle situations where they have anxiety/aggression! I couldn’t be more happy with the decision we made to take our dog to Method K9!

And I can’t wait for Coco to come home and begin her new life. They also offer amazing online classes! I wish the puppy class had been available when Coco was a puppy. I think I would have been better equipped to identify and head off some of Coco’s current fear issues. And, as you know, there is so much confusing information out there on how you should train dogs. But, Stephanie breaks it all down in a way that makes it easy to understand and apply. And she gives you the WHY behind it all so you can better understand the psychology of dogs. If you missed the puppy stage like I did, there are also beginning and intermediate courses available. The only regret you will have is not knowing about Method K9 sooner.

Random things would have him cowering like the exhaust fan and he would bark and lunge at strangers making him a liability in public. He generally was just unpredictable. We had taken him to multiple other trainers who could couldnt help settle him down.Stephanies structured program was something I had never encountered before ( iv owned dogs my whole life) but going thru the training it made a sense and worked wonders. Very smart, energetic, willful. In January Irealized Happy wasnt going to reach full potential with my skills so I enrolled him in Method K9. The training both of us received has given me a young dog that is really enjoyable to be with. He is still a pup, 15 months, and has to be worked with every day but he is well on his way to being a true life long pleasant companion. We spent this morning walking off leash in the park in Coeur dAlene. No issues. The skills Method K9 gave me with the E Collar worked perfectly. He stayed with me no matter what the distraction. Had to correct him occasionally but he responded immediately. Afterwards we stopped at two different retail stores and Happy was a perfect gentleman around everyone. Still a pup but he obeyed all my commands.Thank you Method K9 and staff. Chris Jones

Ive bought online training courses from several places and Methodk9 has by far been the best. The basics course is easy to understand step by step instructions for basic obedience with great quality videos. Stephanie does and exception job also giving you foundational theory of why you should teach this way. I did her puppy course and basics course with our foster puppy and her progress was phenomenal. Ive also found the leash reactivity course and intermediate courses very helpful for our adult GSD (who I also did the basics course with) though they are less instructional videos and more videos of her teaching an actual class...which is still instructional! These videos are worth it!

After that, my dog spiraled and I knew I couldnt tackle his issues on my own. Method K-9 helped him through his fear and anxiety, but they also took the time to train me - and lets be honest, training humans is far more difficult than training dogs! :) They taught me how to keep up with his training and ensure his continued success. Hes now a well behaved, calm, and most importantly - HAPPY member of our family who can go anywhere with us. We are forever grateful. I highly recommend them to everyone.

We got Duke our almost 3 year old gsd with high anxiety, fear, and reactivity back from Methodk9’s 8 week board and train a few days ago and are amazed, empowered, and excited to continue to work towards continuing to build the confident and happy dog we have seen that he is capable of becoming with the tools and knowledge that methodk9 taught us. For the first time since we got our doggo we see him working through his impulses and fears rather than letting them consume him. We see him processing, rather than immediately reacting. We see a boy who can relax rather than scanning and pacing even in the safety of his own home and we have learned the tools to communicate most effectively with our dog to build trust and achieve our goals. Methodk9’s compassion for understanding each dog in and out is apparent in their ability to tailor the program to your dogs needs and struggles rather than a cookie cutter obedience program. No question was ever too small or problem too big, they walked us through the process from day 1. The frequent progress updates made being away from our fur baby easier and gave us motivation to learn along side him from home. Two years ago I brought my monster, Harvey, home. He quickly became my best friend, partner in crime, and sidekick. When he was a puppy he was bit by another dog at doggy daycare. I didn’t understand at the time how damaging this was to him. He became more and more reactive and aggressive towards other animals. I didn’t realize this was rooted from fear and thought/hoped he would grow out of this behavior. It got to the point that I couldn’t bring him anywhere with me. When I walked him I was afraid of seeing other dogs, when we were in the car the sight of another animal would set him off and he would lunge at the window. I was afraid to leave him with anyone else because they wouldn’t know how to handle him. He ended up getting loose when we were on a walk and bit another dog. I felt terrible for the other dog, the owner, and was afraid of what would happen to Harvey if I couldn’t help him.I heard of Method K9 and gave Stephanie a call. Immediately she put me at ease. What really stood out to me was her understanding and passion, specifically for aggressive dogs that others may consider hopeless and “should be put down.” She explained to me that we could help him and he was reacting out of fear because he needs to protect himself. I needed to show him that I would protect him so that he didn’t have to. Stephanie advocated 100% for Harvey. As an animal lover and dog mom, this meant the world to me.I put Harvey in the six week program. He left a rambunctious teenage boy and came back a soldier. He will always be weary of other animals, but it’s controllable. To Stephanie and the Method K9 team: Thank you so much for helping him feel safe again and in guiding him towards finding his confidence. It makes me so happy to see him play and walk around in public without being scared of everything around him. I never thought he would get to where he is today. Putting him through the program was worth every penny and more. Thank you!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Stephanie an her entire training staff! My husband and I have a 10 month old belgian malinois, Odin. We noticed in April that Odin was beginning to have some behavioral issues. We could not walk him outside due to how reactive he was to everything. Odin would lounge, pull, bark, and foam at the mouth anytime he would see another dog or another person (check out method k9s Instagram for Odins before and after) . It was impossible to take him anywhere. We were terrified to have guests over due to how reactive Odin was to anyone who was not my husband or myself. I was also unable to get anything done around the house because I had to constantly watch Odin to make sure he wasnt destroying anything. Odin was unable to just sit and relax for any amount of time. After calling around to a few places asking for help we finally came across Stephanie and Method K9. By the time I contacted Stephanie I was so discouraged because I was told by a different trainer and facility that there was no helping Odin. After speaking to Stephanie I was completely convinced that this training would benefit Odin and that Stephanie truly cared about rehabilitating dogs with behavioral issues. We sent Odin away for 6 weeks to work with Stephanie and her staff. After the 6 weeks Odin was a completely different dog. My husband and myself were completely blown away with all the progress that was made! We can now walk him in public with ZERO issues. TLDR Version: If your dog struggles with any behavioral issues (reactivity/aggression/fear/anxiety/etc.), Method K9 is your place. It will be worth every penny and whatever distance you may need to travel (plus - you can just make a trip out of it!) Both you AND your dog will learn and grow so much from your experience.Long Version: I rescued my dog when she was about 6 months old and I got her knowing that I would have to put in a lot of work. But turns out that obedience and socialization arent the only things you need to work on! (Silly me~) Months later, a lot of her behaviors started kicking in and the countless hours down the Youtube/IG spiral werent enough. I didnt need a trainer to help my dog with obedience. Ive worked my butt off to get her to where she was. I needed a trainer that could help change my dogs outlook on her triggers and teach her appropriate ways to respond so that we could continue to do life together rather than just being stressed together.Of course its scary and sad to think of being without your dog for 8 weeks (I cried many times), but it was so worth it. One of my biggest worries was wondering if she would still have her spunky personality when she came back home or if she would remember me...and the answer is yes. My girl is still her crazy self and Stephanie and her crew helped our relationship flourish. And as much as my dog learned over the 8 weeks with MethodK9, I learned so much from them too. Oh, and I also walked away with so much more confidence which was huge because boy..being a reactive dog owner can strip you of whatever you got!So overall, if I could give my past self some advice, I would say - stop holding off. Save yourself the stress and time and just go for it.Thank you Stephanie/Ava/Staff for loving my girl while she was with you. We got our daily routine down to keep up with her training and Im still amazed each time we get to walk by an oncoming dog without a reaction, to see her hold it together when another dog is causing a scene, how she can calmly stay in place for however long I need her to, how she is willing to greet strangers, and the list can go on. Yall are awesome!

Immediately after I posted my original review (1 star, listed below for reference), he reached out to me asking to have a phone conversation about what was said. I was surprised he actually wanted to take the time to talk to me, but my first thoughts were still negative. To be honest, I thought hed say I was wrong, it was my fault I wasnt successful, I should have done x, y, and z instead. I still agreed to have the conversation but I wasnt exactly excited to see how it was going to go. Boy let me tell you, I was absolutely wrong. He was so empathetic and understanding of the situation I was in. He was honestly upset I wasnt successful with the course I had taken and assured me he would help me become more successful. I was blown away. I could honestly feel that he cared about my well being. Talking to him, I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I had been struggling alone with my puppy for so long, I didnt know where else to turn or what class to take. While talking to him, I finally felt relieved and like I was going to get the proper direction on what I needed to do to be successful. Besides the business aspect of the conversation, he opened up and shared personal stories of how him and his family has helped so many people in the past, which for me, solidified the fact my first impression of them was absolutely wrong. I doubted the fact he would care about my situation or the fine details of what I was dealing with which was the complete opposite of who they really are as a company.I felt obligated to rewrite this review after uncovering the sincerity of Julius and his family. They really are there to help people who are struggling and not seeing success like they should be. We both agreed each of us could have communicated better to more accurately describe what we meant, however without this chain of events, we would have never had the opportunity to talk like we did. A huge THANK YOU to Julius and his team at Method K9 for everything they have done, and for specifically helping me and my dog get on the right path. Im excited to get back to work and on the road to success following their training videos.Original Review:I enrolled my dog in the online puppy class and I felt like it lacked a lot of depth and information within the individual courses. Method K9 provided such in depth videos on their Instagram and Youtube pages, I was really excited to take their puppy course. The class caught my eye because it addressed specific issues we had been having that comparatively, I didnt see within the other classes (excessive barking (the big one I was looking to correct), create/separation anxiety, potty training). The things that were taught within the videos worked short term for my dog, but in the long run, the lessons derived from the video did not stick. Maybe I paid/took the wrong class for what my dog needed but after completing the course and implementing the lessons within the class, I was still very disappointed for the amount of money I spent on the class. Seeing videos online popping up that covered so much more than the lessons I had taken made me feel even worse so I decided I would try and contact them. I emailed the team about the lingering questions I had about behaviors my dog still struggled with that I felt should have gotten better after taking the class. All they did was suggest I pay for another class but after my first encounter with the courses, I couldnt bring myself to pay another $200 for something that didnt show any signs of real improvement for him in the first place. All in all, Im very disappointed with the education I received from the online puppy class and I had much higher hopes going into the experience.

If you’ve looked into dog training and are on the fence, stop here.During covid shutdown and being home more it became evident that our dogs needed more training. My dogs weren’t crazy or needing the board and train, they needed basics.I watched the videos over and over and did google on the side to check out various thoughts. I purchased everything suggested from Chewy. We took in my sons corgi with our two Bernese mountain dogs when he moved back home for a time. Corgis are barking, herding dogs. She clearly needed boundaries. I couldn’t for the life of me even get her to sit on command. She just marched to the beat of her own drummer. In other words she ruled the roost. I even emailed to tell them I’d never get her to sit. Soon after there she went. Then I didn’t think she’d ever get on the place bed - I had to start with it flipped over. We took our time getting through everything but we do practice twice a day. She’s got to work for her meals. No free lunch for her. We’re still working on recall. Those squirrels are a mighty temptation. But now I know she’ll get it instead of emailing saying she’ll never do it. I’d watch one section of a lesson, practice and watch again to make sure I was doing it correctly. I have lovely 80 yo neighbors. Getting jumped on by a 120 lb dog couldn’t happen. Now people can come over and I have them in their place beds until things calm down. Now these videos didn’t train my dogs, they trained me. I’m less frazzled and more confident understanding them. Now they aren’t going to enter the circus doing tricks, but my dogs for the most part listen and can behave appropriately.

We have 2 small boys – 6 and 8. We thought about getting a puppy, but when Sadie showed up on a local rescue website we could not resist. On first meeting, she was sweet and playful. She was kind to our boys and seemed to be acclimating ok. Then we learned that many shelter animals show their true personalities after a few weeks. She growled at the kids, snapped when she felt trapped, and was crazy on the leash. We thought we would have to take her back to the shelter, but the boys wanted to give her a chance. We felt stuck. In a weird turn of events involving Home Depot we eventually landed at Method K9 and Stephanie Vinchinsky’s doorstep. She did not have immediate room in her board and train program but was willing to do in home sessions with us to make sure everyone was safe until she did. We learned Sadie was an affection addict – true of many anxious shelter animals – and needed to develop self-confidence and structure. We learned how to communicate with her more effectively and gain her trust. The boys were involved every step of the way in learning how they could do the same.Sadie went to board and train for 6 weeks. We missed her terribly but Stephanie and Hope sent videos every week to show her progress. We could also clearly see that they loved and cared for her the way we’d hope. Before she came home we had our own homework videos to do and several training sessions with Stephanie and Sadie so that we could continue to coach her.We were warned that she might act out a little when she came home, but what we experienced was nothing compared to her behavior before she went to school. What’s more, we knew what we needed to do to show her what was expected of her. It’s been nearly three months since she’s been home and we can sincerely say that she is the same dog we adopted and without the behaviors that made her challenging to have at home. This requires continual work on all of our parts (dog and human) but Method K9 prepared us every step of the way. We are so glad we invested in Sadie by connecting with Method K9. They are worth every penny.

Our 6 mo old pup Sadie just finished the Basic Foundation class. Hope was amazing. Sadie has some pretty bad dog reactivity and by the end of this class she was so much more calm around other dogs than when we started. Trainers in WA are closed so we took a gamble at trying for out of state, but we are so glad we did. We will definitely be back for more once they get to their new location and will request Hope for all our future classes. Thank you, Hope! ~Kelli and Sadie

I cannot say enough good things about method k9! Our dog, Kai, was a very dog reactive. We would have to run across the street when we saw a dog during walks and had to be extra careful about turning corners while walking him in fear that hed get too close to another dog and start pulling/barking. We would even avoid parks and areas we knew other people would want to walk their dogs. Its been more than 6 months since after his training and my fiancee and I talk about how great an investment it was to send Kai to a board and train. I know it can be a hefty price but its 100% worth it knowing that we can walk Kai with relatively no worries and his manners at home have improved as well! When working out during quarantine, we can simply give him the command to place on his cot and we can workout undisturbed and let him release from his place position when were done! We can see that hes become a calmer and more secure dog since the training and feel great knowing we know how to better communicate with him and vouch for his needs.Method K9s team truly cares about the dogs they train and I cannot say enough good things about them!

I have had several puppies throughout my lifetime, but I always wanted a standard poodle! I finally was able to get a standard poodle puppy a bit over a year ago. This puppy was different than others I have had. He didn’t listen to me, or even look at me. He did not respond to any of my attempts to train him, and he was a total mess when I took him outside. The neighbors couldn’t stand him! I got to the point where I didn’t even like him, which was very sad. A lady I knew recommended Method K9, so I looked them up. I watched Stephanie in a video teaching how to get my dog to look at me. I followed along and soon, my dog would look at me. That did it. I signed up for the beginner class!!! Halfway through that class, I knew I needed to take him to the intermediate class. Somewhere during this time, I began to actually like my dog! Now, I adore him, and he behaves so much better. The neighbors had seen me working with him, and one day they complimented his changed behavior. Method K9 is the absolute best place for dog training! I recommend them highly!!!

After following along on Instagram for 6 months Method K9 launched an online training class in the midst of the corona lockdown. FINALLY, I had the opportunity to use them without traveling from Bend, OR to Idaho. This training method has been so well thought out and communicated clearly (which I worry about with an online program) it was so easy to follow along and practice. I actually utilized it with a few boarding clients who went on to purchase the program to continue!I’ve since recommended it to many other clients who are seeking new methods or training for their puppy or new dogs. They just released an intermediate course and we can’t wait to graduate basic foundations and continue to learn.

Our Labradoodle Tucker was 1year old and we were lost and did not know what to do. Tucker had anxiety and was extremely hyper active. He ate absolutely everything in sight. He even pulled rain gutters off of the house and was destroying things everyday. We tried every piece of advice we could possibly find. Tucker had even previously done a training program with another dog trainer to no avail. I was devastated to think we may have to find him a new home because we had no idea how to help or train him. THEN....I began seeing video clips on Facebook from Method K-9. I was so impressed with the journey I saw other dogs go through. I told my husband if there is any hope we have to try Method K-9. We did and it was the best decision ever! Tucker did the 8 week board and train with Stephanie and staff. He is doing fabulous. Method K-9 not only trained Tucker but taught us how to continue to have long term success.Forever Grateful,Tucker & Family❤️

100% recommend Method K9 for ANY training/behavioral issue help. I have a dog who developed leash reactivity and aggression and with the help of their online courses, he is on his way to becoming his best self! I bought the Leash Reactivity online course and it is amazing! My one dog Chip is leash reactive, my other dog Winnie isn’t, but she is generally very anxious. This course is really helping me to understand how to help my dog Chip feel safe and learn to walk on a leash without lunging/barking/growling at other animals. It has also taught me about what causes reactivity which is very useful for preventing my other dog from becoming reactive. I’d recommend it to anyone who has a dog who deals with fear or anxiety even if they are not reactive. Stephanie is super helpful and always responds quickly when I have questions. Thank you MethodK9 :)

Stephanie and the Method K9 crew are arguably the best in Idaho and possibly the whole country. Before bringing my American Bully to Method K9 I did extensive research by going through all of her YouTube videos, read all of her articles and reviews to determine she was the right one. Hennessy is currently in her 5th week, I am looking forward to my training and bring my old girl home.

I highly recommend Method K9. My dog was very reactive towards other dogs, constantly pulling on leash, and had no impulse control. After sending her to Method K9 board/train she is now a calmer and well behaved dog that I can take anywhere. They were patient with her and accommodating to her needs/disabilities (3 legs). The best part of sending my dog to Method K9 is that they took the time to train myself as well. We left with the knowledge and tools to maintain a happy life.

However when i called i didnt get the experience Ive read so much about. I was very interested in getting involved with the method k9 community but when i called i received the run around. They took my information and never got back to me, and they made me feel like my questions were ridiculous and i was a nuisance. Not the welcoming i expected based off reviews. However you dont get a second chance to make a first impression, so ill take my business else where.

Stephanie and crew quite simply have taken dog training to a new level. Over the years, weve worked with various trainers with mixed results. Stephanie has an uncanny ability to get each dog and customize training for the pup and handlers. Our whippet mix was a hot mess when we rescued her 2 years ago. Her anxiety and fear were off the charts. Through the rescue organization we adopted from, I discovered that Stephanie was holding a seminar in Seattle for basic training. I was impressed with her videos and no nonsense approach to training, so I signed up. Kona and I learned so much during this seminar, and it gave me hope that with diligence, my husband and I could get her to a place where she wouldt want to hide any time she encountered a new situation. We made a lot of progress, and we were grateful for Stephanies support via email when we felt like we were failing. We hit a wall, though, and decided that Board and Train was the best way forward. One month later, we are working daily to reinforce the excellent training Kona received from her caring, knowledgeable trainers under Stephanies guidance. While Kona will always be fearful, we are learning ways together to keep her fear and anxiety from dominating her life...and ours.

Our beautiful pup started showing signs of fear when he was just 3 months old. He would bark at everything - every person, dog, cat, bird, horse, loud car, you name it. We’ve been dog owners our entire lives. We’ve gone through dog training with other dogs and we followed advice from other trainers in the area. Nothing seemed to be helping him, in fact, he seemed to get worse as time went on. When we contacted Method K9, they gave us hope. We felt immediate relief after talking with them. They are so responsive and understanding. Once our pup was 6 months old, we sent him to Method K9 for their board and train program. The time apart was difficult, but 7 weeks compared to a lifetime of a better life for him, was worth it. They kept us informed with videos and emails weekly. They gave us a comprehensive library of video tutorials for us to learn as our dog was learning the same techniques from them. They met with us for three personal training sessions before we could take him home. We have also had a follow up personal training session with them since he has been home. He is more confident and is manageable. Method K9 truly gave him his life back. He gets compliments on a daily basis about how well trained he is as I’m walking him. Method K9 are our partners for life. They will always be available to help you with behavior issues and are very much invested in the dog’s betterment. I’m in awe of how they’ve helped our dog.

Great company. Been through many trainers over the years, and weve finally found THE place. Great job so far, great philosophy, no-nonsense approach. I was very surprised with the use of animal psychology intertwined with human psychology included within the program. Stephanie does not consider dogs to be little humans, and expects us to understand how THEY think; as instinctual hunters and animals that have been bred to work. The price is fair. The class presentation is professional while friendly, firm while understanding, and her knowledge base is well formed and educated. Definitely worth the drive from Spokane if you live in Washington.

Method K9’s Online Basic foundations course is a GAME CHANGER! I adopted a 70 pound shelter Pitbull Terrier for 30 dollars at the beginning of Covid and had no clue what I was doing. I found Method K9’s on Instagram and was amazed by their progress videos and dedication to their craft. They broke everything down simply and professionally into bite sized pieces that dramatically helped me train myself and then my dog. Even though we can’t have the pleasure of working with them in person (I’m in New Jersey!) Being able to train my dog at home has been a massive blessing. I cannot give them enough praise! I cannot speak more positively about the Method K9 team. I heard about them through another clients Instagram story and finding them was a godsend! We dropped Draco off while on our cross-country move to Washington. Not only did this help us settle & unpack without having to also focus on getting him used to a new home, but it also meant we knew he was getting the help he needs in safe hands. We’ve felt supported with any questions we have (both during our training and after he came home) and love being a part of the Methodk9 fam! We now know exactly how to support our boy and how to correctly communicate with him. I suggest them to ANYONE who says they’re having issues.

We have Newfoundlands, which are known as Gentle Giants in the dog world but ours did not fit that description. Shawn was too enthusiastic around people and would not get into a car. His sister Katie was afraid of people/new places and was becoming aggressive. We were in trouble! Other dog trainers turned me down but Stephanie knew exactly how to help. She has an incredible knowledge on how dogs view our world and also makes dog owners feel at ease. Now we have the tools/techniques to make Katie feel safe out in the world. I have owned multiple dogs over the last decade, always had dogs growing up, and I have never encountered a trainer who makes this kind of positive impact on ALL dogs. I wish I could be constructive criticism but I can only say positive things about the work they do. I took both their online courses in basic obedience and intermediate training not to mention the countless tips given for free on social media and YouTube. All were profoundly helpful for my 6 month old puppy that I had just adopted and my 4 year old dogue de Bordeaux. Both dogs transformed within the first couple of weeks and continue growing. My bordeaux was fearful and anxious in many settings and now navigates those with confidence because I learned to communicate with her, understand how she communicates with me, and advocate for her in order to build trust and confidence. The staff are very responsive and personable even though I was an online customer. If you’re committed to helping your develop a healthy mindset in life, this is the trainer for you!

My husband & I have had dogs all our lives. Took training with our other dogs through different service 14 years ago. We took Method K9’s beginner class and because of Stephanie’s passion & the way she puts the dog 1st we also took the intermediate class. We did not have a “difficult” or a hard to train pup. Those are not the only dogs that need training, all pet owners need training. The approach Stephanie uses and teaches is invaluable. We enjoy our now 1 year old puppy, he listens, doesn’t pull on the leash and he places very well. People say our guy is so well behaved and he is thanks to Stephanie and her crew. We always ALWAYS recommend Method K9. Stephanie is truly remarkable and it is evident she is passionate about equipping people with the tools necessary to live happily & safely alongside their fur babies.
