I had such a wonderful experience here from check in to discharge. The staff was incredibly friendly, the nurse was knowledgeable and kind, and the entire procedure team (doctor, CRNA, anesthesiologist, etc) were incredible and put me at ease immediately. My procedure was quick, I was able to talk to my doctor almost immediately after becoming coherent in recovery. I felt comfortable, cared for, and attended to the entire time. I have nothing at all bad to say about my experience here. Very pleased and very impressed. Thank you AZ West Endoscopy!

Dr. Lam and his staff are awesome. They were quick and efficient. They all showed concern and answered all questions. Explained the results and when I would need to do this again. My throat wasn’t as sore as the first time so I thank him for that too. Everyone was very helpful because the anesthesiologist answered my call light and assisted me to the bathroom. He’s the best and I would recommend him for your GI needs.

Overall I was very happy with the treatment I received today at the Az West Endoscopy Center. When they took me to the back room to prepare me for the procedure I went to get done, the staff was very courteous and friendly specially Violet; she was a sweetheart and another lady who went to check on me but I can’t think of her name right now. Everyone in the procedure room was very nice, attentive and kind.One thing I have to say though i was not impressed with the front office personnel. They were not as welcoming and it would be nice once they great the patients to inform them first they will be called to get checked in, instead of just saying “have a sit and they will call you”…I sat there clueless for almost an hour before I got checked in because no one ever said *We will call you in a bit to first get you checked in and then someone will come get you later for your procedure* There is definitely room for improvement .

My experience was awesome! The treatment and care was great! They were very thorough in making sure I understood everything and that I felt safe. Dr. Lam was awesome and my procedure was over before I even knew it began😄

Initially I had to wait in the waiting room for an hour longer than my scheduled appointment. However the receptionists were very good to apologize for the wait and gave me a solid ETA. Once I got into the prep and procedure areas, great people all around. Light hearted and professional. So, was my wait worth it? Absolutely. I recommend this place.

ALL Staff, especially Cherri, Garrett & Olga and assistants were amazing.Their level of care was exceptional. ALL Staff was super thorough, compassionate, communicated every step of the way and let’s not forget the warm blankets that’s heaven! I’m grateful to have had my procedure @ Az West. Got to center an hour early per their request, procedure was 1.5 hours later than scheduled time. No one kept me updated, which I would have preferred instead of waiting around wondering what was going on. My time is valuable too.

Communication and customer service poor! I was scheduled for a 6:00am appt, in which they told me I needed to be rescheduled almost waiting 1 hour later because I ate solids within the 24 hour period! Staff very condescending, and unprofessional.

As a retired Registered Nurse with 38 years of experience, much in OR/PACU, I have to say these guys anesthesia providers are billing cons. Billed by 2 separate providers for same service on same day and charged 2600.00 for a 20 minute long sedation procedure. This after I was assured insurance covered it all. Have your doctor do your procedure at another facility and DONT USE ANYONE FROM GRAND CANYON ANESTHESIA OR GASTROENTEROLOGY ANESTHESIA CONSULTANTS LLC. My doctor is great but this place and its contracted anesthesia providers are the worst. Expect double billing and possibly worse.

This place is a bit like an assembly line. Staff and Doctor Mellen act as though they are concerned for your well-being, but they didnt give me a chance to ask about anything regarding the procedure because they were in such a rush. They did their job very well and that is very appreciated, but they condescended to me and treated me like a non-person most of the time. I was worried about the procedure and they showed me no compassion or respect as a person. I hate to be harsh, but it is what it is.

I had my colonoscopy procedure today and I didn’t experience any of the problems that other reviews mention. The facilities are great. Very clean and made me feel comfortable. My prep nurse, Tara, was great. She was personable and efficient. Dr Patel was awesome. He came in and explained everything before my procedure and then again after we were done. And the recovery nurse (Angela, I think) was fantastic. The whole appointment went from 6:00am check-in to 8:30am our the door. I would recommend Dr Patel and his facility without hesitation!

Reschedule with a doctor that cares! My mom had a 9am call for a 10am procedure. They are over am an hour late currently and running. There are people currently here that have been waiting nearly 2 hours. These procedures are fasting, no fiber, clear diet procedures, so that means they are making people wait extra time havent eaten real food in almost a week. The staff doesnt care. They treat people like a number, not a patent, and while Ive not meet the doctor, Im not impressed with his apparent lack of empathy. 0

I’ve read all the bad reviews. Perhaps there aren’t any positive reviews because people are more prone to leave bad reviews then good. Let me share my experience from two days ago. Date of procedure - 1/15/20My procedure (colonoscopy) was scheduled for 12:45pm. They asked I arrive 1 hour prior. I arrived at 11:40am and within five minutes of sitting in the waiting area they called me in to the...I don’t know, I’ll call it the patient admissions desk.They told me they were running ahead of schedule and they were ready to take me right away. Here is how my procedure went....11:40am - arrived12:10pm - I was undressed, and a gown, and being wheeled into the room where they did my procedure. I know what time it was because there was a clock in the wall above me. By 12:15pm they had me prepped, turned me on my side and the anesthesiologist put me to sleep.1:09pm - Next thing I knew there was a nurse above me saying “hey Jim, it’s time to wake up“. The procedure was over.Probably the best 45 minutes of sleep I’ve had in a long time! First thing I asked her when I was cognizant was “what time is it? She said it’s 1:09.Within the next 5 to 6 minutes I was completely cognizant, my girlfriend was in the room with me, and I was getting dressed and getting ready to leave.My overall experience was 100% positive. All of the nurses, NP’s and doctors were very pleasant.And no, I do not work for the hospital or this organization, nor do I know anybody who works at this office.I would rate my experience throughout my colonoscopy a five out of five.

Exceptional Experience: I had my procedure done at AZ West Endoscopy and it was absolutely amazing. My last procedure was at a local hospital and the experience was definitely not the same. AZ West has the process down to a science, the staff is professional and caring, the physicians are the best in town, the center was clean and very well run. I will definitely return to AZ West for my next procedure.

Fantastic experience. Very modern facility and state of the art. Very clean and zen. The front desk is attentive and pleasant. The nurses, anesthesiologist and gastro doctor were amazing!I read some other reviews and wonder, where they at the same facility or were they upset about life....definitely not fair to this wonderful facility and very pleasant staff.As far as cost, my bill was very clear, no hidden costs and definitely more affordable than the hospital next door. Overall, they get 5+ stars.

Very poor staff. They are rude and nasty to others. They dont want people back there while they change which i found weird with my son. There was so many problems. They dont deserve any stars at all. They are very horrible. And dont recomand.

Small, cramped, crowded, over booked, waiting room is an agonizing ordeal as they have you come an hour early, then they are late on the other end. Gives my fiance ample time to be nervous about her upcoming procedure. Also one little restroom for a packed room full of people who have been drinking bowel cleansing juice is ridiculous. Im very glad Im not the guy over there clinching his cheeks waiting his turn. I had the same procedure at Banner Estrella Surgery Center, so I know how it should be done, and this does not come close. If you have been scheduled here, change it to somewhere else. It only gets a second star so Google doesnt scrub the review.

Had a 10:00am check-in time for a 11:00am appointment with Dr. Cruz. At check-in we were told they were running about 45 minutes behind schedule. Didn’t even get called into the back for prep until 1:04 pm. Instead of trying to run a conveyer belt procedure seeing how many patients they can run through the doors every day maybe they need to work more on properly scheduling people and give themselves a little bit of buffer time. I would suggest that if you don’t have the first appointment of the day that you call ahead and find out how far behind schedule they are running. I’m sure this is a daily occurrence because the staff was completely unfazed by being over two hours behind schedule and never once apologized it.

My wife had a procedure here and they are in network with our ins and the doctor was in network but the anesthesiologists they use are out of network. Be wary of getting a large bill after the fact even if you think it is all covered in network. The place is fine outside of the financial consideration.

The doctors and nurses were great however the office staff made the experience awful. My insurance preapproved my procedure at 100% but the office made me pay $522 on the day of procedure anyway. I was told I would get the $ back when the insurance company paid but I couldn’t get the procedure unless I paid up front! So basically I was forced to pay up front even though my insurance said it was covered! The insurance paid the claim within a week and it has been a month and no refund to my account. I’ve called the office multiple times and just get the run around. They scammed me out of my money and now I have to pursue them to get it back. This amounts to an interest free loan to them. Wonder how many people they do this to.

Front desk was not very friendly. However, the RN and clinical staff were great. Dr Patel was very informative and answered all of my questions.

This facility does NOT even rake 1 star HOWEVER system makes youThis morning my husband was scheduled for a routine colonoscopy checking in at 7:30 am with an 8:30am procedure time.A little after 10am we inquired about a status thinking that he was not checked in properly. The front office lady was very rude and abrupt, responding with the statement that he has at least a couple hour wait and what would you like her to do, “tell the doctor to hurry up!”11:30am he was finally called back for his procedure. A little after noon I was called back to the recovery room, and told that his procedure was incomplete due to failed patient prep and we would be contacted to reschedule. All instructions were carried out as instructed and the facility refused to refund my $500 and was told that upon returning the same fee will be owed.Failure to communicate with patients, unprofessional staff towards, possible physician error and insurance fraud. This is not only unacceptable, but very unprofessional and I will be reporting my experience to the proper authorities.

Had to check in 1 before 1100 procedure then waited 1 he after scheduled time before bei,g called back. No bed on cubicle so I had to wait for one. Procedure started around noon and when I woke up I didnt see the dr and my daughter wasnt notified I was ready until she got tired of waiting she checked with staff. O finally left around 145. Erik not recommend to anyone and wont go there again.
