Im from out of state and I was so scared going to a shelter with my daughter (shes a toddler) but once I got there they made me feel comfortable. Theyre professional, kind and very helpful. The entire staff was really nice, understanding and supportive. Rasheeda and the guy who did my intake Ill never forget how kind they were to me during a dark time in my life. I recommend this place to anyone with children.

I was there about a year ago with my family. We arrived in the middle of night due to personal reasons. The staff who was there treated my family liked they really cared. They feed us and gave us warm blankets to use. Then the next morning we had to go to apple tree. Apple tree send me and my family back to the so called family shelter , the staff was different and so was the attitude. No way in hell this is a family shelter when they put me out in the cold and let my wife and children stay. The lady who separated us worked in the back and the only thing she did right was pop bubble gum! Long story short. Treat people how to want to be treated.

I went here when I was homeless. I had my 6 month old daughter. Had our own room that we could look. Three hot meals a day. Of course it was not the Ritz Carlton. At the same time I was I was very grateful that I was saving money, I have a case worker to help me with appointments. There was a yard I could take my daughter into to enjoy a nice day!! Idk I followed the rules and was very grateful to have a safe place for my daughter to sleep at night! Thank you!

My teen daughter n I shared a room no bigger than a closet.n slept in a bunk bed. Bugs: ants roaches etc. all over kids run in community bathroom while your showering n open curtain.I never believed their were this many homeless men with children n theyre here too on the same floor as us females. No one here has been checked for abuse or criminal records 🤔🤔🤔.The staff so far are helpful n compassionate so far.Yes they have three meals a day food cooked from scratch 😣😣😥 if you have a weak stomach sorry. Its freeThis place is a non profit organization that has availability n long term residency if you need a place for your family to be safe n together, you just have to go through OSHA aka apple tree to get in which takes a longtime.I may sound ungreatful to you but Im just being honest. This is a very humbling experience that I will learn from get better n get out....so will you good luck.

This is not a family shelter. This is a womens and childrens shelter. If you are a family where the father is in the home and/or married with children this place will separate the family from the father. Hence why they need to change the name.
