Doctor Srinivas Prasad is an excellent physician. My husband and I were both extremely impressed by Dr. Prasad’s expertise from the first visit and on through the following visits leading to and throughout the surgeries and the post-operation visits. Dr. Prasad is a highly educated and knowledgeable physician who is always very professional, pleasant, and very caring. During my first visits Dr. Prasad referred to the MRI and CT test results and was very clear and thorough in explaining my spine issues, which included Lumbo-Sacral Spine Disease, Lumbar Spondylolisthesis, Lumbar Deformity, and Lumbar Stenosis. He very clearly explained options and the expected results of each option. After detailed discussions we agreed to what would be the best option with the best desired results. The decision was made to have Dr. Prasad perform two surgeries, which involved decompression and fusion spanning L-2 to S-1. The first surgery was an Anterior Thoracic/Lumbar Fusion. I remained in the hospital until three days later when he performed a Posterior Lumbar Decompression/Fusion. The excellent care from Dr. Prasad and his wonderful staff continued throughout my recovery time both in the hospital and after my release and continued recovery at home. After my surgeries I had several office visits during which the results of X-rays completed prior to each visit were reviewed with very positive results. I am now living a greatly improved life and am enjoying long walks each day with my husband. It is impossible to thank Dr. Prasad and his wonderful staff (nurses: Mary Mc., Lila A., Melissa S., Laura S.) enough. They will always have my gratitude for extending the greatest care I could have possibly had.

Dr. Reinhardt recommended Dr. Prasad to me. I have made several attempts to get an appointment. Each attempt resulted in being transferred 4 times and not getting to make an appointment. Was told they would call me back later that day. Still waiting for that call. Tried scheduling online. Received an email that I would be contacted in 3 business days. That was 2 weeks ago. Horrible patient care.

We are not writing about the hospital, but we are writing about one of their doctors, Dr. Snivras Prasad of Neurosurgery . He is the best doctor we have met in many a year...kind, compassionate, brilliant and with hands of gold. We would recommend him to anyone at anytime. He listens intensely and intently and makes sure he understands. And he talks to you as well, and as a team member, not a god.

Back in February I saw Dr Prasad. Let me first say that if you are a surgical candidate then go see him, hell treat you appropriately. I myself am not a surgical candidate so he wasted my time and my money, I waited 2 hours to see him on my first visit with him. He didnt even evaluate me and claimed to have spend 10 minutes looking at my imaging prior to coming into seeing me, I fail to believe this since he suggested that I seek alternative medicine of seeing a chiropractor when the compression fracture I had of t12 is still quite visible on images. After making that statement to him he didnt know what to say but made the mention that I wasnt complicated enough (in other words Im not a surgical candidate so I wont be making him money) but at 26 years old to have a history of a compression fracture and a now herniated disc in my lower back, Im complicated enough for my age. What irked me the most is that all of this conversation happened in a matter of 2 minutes or less and it only extended to at most a 5 minute conversation because of flipped out. I as the patient should not be pushed off to the side since I wouldnt be making him money. Being a doctor he is supposed to help not ignore and push off someone.Do not see him, long story short he wastes your time and money

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Prasad. He recently treated me for a 2 level ACDF. His bed side manner is unbelievable. Each appointment he spent a lot of time going over the different scenarios, MRI’s and answered every questions that I had. I had spent a lot of time researching the procedure and came in loaded with a slew of questions. After the procedure, my pain was non existent. I had slight fatigue from the operation but that is about it. My wife said I looked so good she even questioned if I had the surgery. If you are looking for a top notch surgeon that cares for his patients and spends time covering everything, than he is your guy! I would highly recommend him.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Prasad. When we first met he spent a lot of time with me explaining what I had wrong. Together with his team we worked to find a solution that would fit me. I was really impressed that he did not suggest surgery first. He tried other methods. Hes extremely patient and very supportive. He makes sure you are comfortable with the decision being made and takes time to explain the surgery in a way a non-medical person would understand. I am young and having surgery scared me (my first surgery ever). He took time to make sure I was ok and kept reassuring me I was going to be ok. I had ACDF surgery. I was loosing my feeling and my motor skills. He saved everything and I am back to exercising and a normal life. He really saved me and gave me my life back. I now have no more pain and I cant thank him enough. His staff is outstanding! They are patient and super supportive. I really like seeing them when I go into the office. Dr. Prasad even after the surgery made sure I was okay. He would check in with me to see how I was doing. His office also checked in to see if I had any questions. When we first started down this road I was scared and didnt want the surgery. As time went on and things got worse for me he explained to me what needed to be done and how things would start happening to me. Hes EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Again if I couldnt have imagined anyone else doing the surgery on me. I completely trust him and would recommend him to anyone and say that you can trust him too!!!!

I am a 67 year old retired Marine Corps Colonel (31 years on Active Duty). I have been treated by Dr. Srinivas Prasad for over 5 years for problems with my lower back/spine. I interviewed 3 neurosurgeons to determine who would be best to treat me when I needed surgery. I chose Dr. Prasad. Finally, in May 2015, I was in considerable pain and no longer able to walk and function without a cane and strong pain medication, so we scheduled back surgery. The surgery included a laminectomy, fusion of L1, L2, and L3 and spacers being placed between the 3 vertebrae. I was able to recover and function well after the operation.Unfortunately, I needed a second operation due to the rapid deterioration of L4 and L5 two years later. There was no doubt who I would choose to perform the operation. Dr. Prasad did the operation in October 2017, to include fusing T11 through S1, and performing a more extensive laminectomy. I am recovering well and regaining my strength.I trust Dr. Prasad and his experience, expertise and judgement. He explains the problems with your back/spine to you so you understand why the surgery is necessary and what needs to be done to correct the problems. He will not recommend surgery until it is necessary and clearly explains the reasons and the risks. I trust Dr. Prasad s judgement and have not been disappointed. It is due to his superb expertise that I am able to walk and function without the aide of a cane or major pain medications. I owe my life to this professional.Sincerely, Neil Hartenstein

Its my heart felt and absolute pleasure to submitt this review, of Dr. Srinivas K. Prasad, M.D. Neurosurgeon at Jefferson- Hospital- Neurosurgery Department, ( Center City ). I met Dr. Prasad in June of 2016, I sufferd from a very serious Cervical Spine problem, needless to say I was nervous, afraid, apprehensive , untrusting and uncertin; Due to my medical condition and fear of the unknown upon meeting Dr. Prasad, he has a human connection with people aside from his bed side mannor and professional demeanor he was able to help comm and subdue all of my emotional impediments, thus he performed a very in depth and serious surgical procdure on my cervical spine. Im truly grateful and thank GOD that this man this surgeon is truly gifted, in closing I LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU MY FRIEND AND HEALER, from my heart to yours,Grace & PeaceRev. Robert L. If you want a Doctor who is going to berate you and take advantage of you, this is the place to go and Dr. Srinivas Prasad is your doctor. My mother took many appointments at this office to finally get surgery to repair an issue. During the numerous appointments, the Doctor was frequently late and kept my mother and other patients waiting for about an hour at a time in addition to leaving without taking the scheduled appointment. Finally, once surgery was scheduled and the one nurse agreed that the Doctor could perform the surgery at St. Marys hospital, another nurse called, yelling at my mother berating her and breaking her down to tears why she was an inconvenience for the staff. My mother was so upset she had to hang up. She then had 1 last appointment where the Dr. Prasad came right in the room and started berating her while in the room saying that if my mother cant get along with his staff and she cant bend over backwards for him then she should find another Doctor to do the surgery. My mother once again left the office crying and since now this Doctor nor practice can be trusted she can not have the surgery. She will now spend many more months in pain because this Doctor wasted her time and took her money and believed his lying staff. Beware of this crooked Doctor and office and I suggest you find yourself a more reputable and friendly place to go...
