At 67y.o. I have a rather grand perspective of a myriad of ailments and injuries. Combine that, with an attendant view that extends to the practitioners and institutions that treat the individuals afflicted by these maladies.Based on my experiences, Dr. Kotopka Is among the best doctors I have ever visited. From the initial consultation, to the surgery through post-op, the care and treatment I received was superlative.Although Dr. Kotopka delivered a pre-op caveat regarding the low probability of a perfect outcome with spinal surgery, I still emerged 100% completely healed! I can only attribute this result to Dr. Kotopka’s prodigious skill and competence.As I prepare to visit Dr. Kotopka one more time due to spinal problems, I am totally confident the outcome of any surgery will be as successful as my previous experience.

Very disappointed that Dr. Kotapka told me at my first consultation that I would potentially need a fusion I had done 10 years ago revised and one done above it. At my final consultation he said I would need fusions in my entire neck. I dont believe he even looked at my X-rays before my first appointment. He was very unsympathetic towards my pain. He did not help me at all. I recommend seeking a 2nd opinion.

Yesterday, I had a consult with Dr. Kotapka for a recent brain discovery. I was extremely nervous about the outcome, but the office, medical staff and Dr. Kotapka gave me ease of mind instantly. During my consult with Dr. Kotapka, I never felt rushed and was able to ask questions without hesitation. He was able to explain my diagnosis with the help of my MRI results (the visuals were great) and took his time awhile keeping my mind at ease. I have seen three other neurosurgeons and Dr. Kotapka will be the surgeon Ill schedule with!!

I saw Dr. Kotapka in the hospital after a head injury from a fall and then in his office after discharge.. He was professional, but friendly and caring.. He took time to explain everything and to show me films from the CT scan. The office wait time was minimal. His office staff was very helpful with aftercare arrangements with another specialist. Dr. Kotapka was easily attainable by phone to answer any questions or concerns. I would not hesitate to refer a friend to Dr. Kotapka.
