Really Terrible Communication Especially With New Patients For Dental I Heavily Would Not Recommend If You Are Any Type Of Pain. I Was Told I Had To Call In Before I Came In For Any Work To Be Done I Was Turned Around At The Door Even When I Told Them The Pain I Was In. One Nurse Shrugged Her Shoulders And Told Me To Go Home And Remake the Appointment. They Will Tell You It’s Acceptable To Come In The Afternoon Even Thou Everyone Is On Break And They Will Keep Sending You Back Out And When They Finally Do Come Back They Will Refuse To See You Because It’s Past Their Time. The Whole Health Center 9 Is A Complete Joke And Unprofessional And Will Be Hearing From My Lawyers Because It’s Against the Law To Send Anybody Away In Pain.

I went to dental and saw Iris Moody and I was appalled. The reception/technician didnt know medical terminology at all. Not implying that a dental technician or whatever she is, should know everything but you should know the basics and she did not. Non medical professionals know some. She lost credibility big time. Then the dentist only had one patient (me) and it took her forever to see me. She seemed old, slow and like didnt know what she was doing. I felt something was wrong with my mouth and she told me that I was fine and referred me to another place. Why would I need to go elsewhere if what I was seeking and needed was general and nothing was wrong with me? I listened to myself and went somewhere else and they found a cavity in between my teeth that got fixed the same day of my appointment. Evidently, good xrays werent taken at Ms. Moodys office because they missed the cavity that had been there for months. I will never go to that office again and you shouldnt either. They are uneducated and incompetent.

Dr. Hardware is horrendous. She was no help at all. Shes supposed to be a professional, but that was not the case whatsoever. I came in with a tonsil infection, and she said I was a dirty girl. I told her my feelings about the issue, she said that doesnt matter. Every time, I answered a question of hers about my symptoms. She looked at me in disgust or like she didnt believe what I was saying. She also spoke about her personal life and how she hates her husband. All people need better care no matter what class you are from. We need better care providers than this.

My experience wasn’t bad at all. Easy and very nice people. The problem i had was with the phlebotomist... she never said one word to me , just asked for my slip and drew blood. Didn’t verify name didn’t introduce herself at all. I read her name tag and it was Tara. That’s not safe because i could’ve grabbed wrong paper or been the wrong patient. Not good at all

You will be taken care of here. It is a good place and the staff and doctors care about the patients. But this place is underfunded. These Philly Heath Centers should be fully funded. It should be much larger and actually have equipment, for instance x-ray machines that work and more staff and doctors. The dental clinic as well needs an upgrade as far as equipment and funding. The Philadelphia health centers should have better labs and testing for infrctious diseases like TB instead of having to send people out for these tests. These changes would provide more jobs at the health centers, the health centers would be a great to go place and raise the moral of our communities.

I have a nice doctors that ask questions and if I have a problem the nurse will let him know whats going on with me before I get called. It doesnt take that long to be seen depending on how many patients he has and he always make sure I get enough of my diabetes medicine. They have different parts of the clinic for different medical care.

City Health Centers are extremely helpful to the community. They are low-cost clinics - insurance is not needed. These Health Centers offer many services such as Prenatal Care, Family Planning (birth control), Gyn, Pediatrics, Adult Medicine, and Dental. They have their own ON-SITE labs, pharmacies, and xray departments that can be utilized by their patients. If you know someone who is struggling (with or without insurance) to afford medical care - please suggest a city health center. A lot of Philadelphians do not know about their services. Spread the word!
