I love this office. As an African American with dark skin, it has been a struggle to find a dermatologist that treats black skin. I originally came here to treat my cystic acne which Ive been having issue with for over 15 years. They completely cured/healed my skin within 1 year with treatment options that were never available to me before. After that great experience, I started going for their cosmetic treatments like laser and hair removal, which i was told at other offices i did not qualify for because of how deep my skin was. The prices are great and the staff is friendly and professional.

I had a very pleasant experience with the booking person. She was helpful and friendly. She answered my questions and was compassionate. When you are calling for a concerning issue it can be scary. She really helped make the process less scary and showed professionalism, as well. Thank you, Monday afternoon staff.

I changed dermatologists after my sister went to this practice and loved it. My first phone call was with a gentleman that wouldnt make an appointment for me without a credit card. I was at event and didnt have it on me. Admittedly I was a bit annoyed. Later when I called back I I was able to schedule appointments for my son and myself with Dr. Dorfman.They are friendly and prompt and the Philadelphia office is beautiful.Dr. Dorfman was very thorough and friendly.Ive been back for follow up and have also had laser hair removal with one of the estheticians.This place is great!

The staff at the front desk were nice and that is where it ended. Once upstairs nobody spoke to me until they called me to the back. Once in the back, the nurse asked why I was there and then when I said I had a couple of other issues to talk about, she seemed very perturbed that she had to take additional notes. After meeting with the doctor who basically made me feel like a fool for coming in for what I was there for, she prescribed me two scripts. One of them wasn’t covered by my insurance but the doctor specifically said just give him whatever is covered. So once my pharmacy told me it wasn’t covered I called the office back, 3 different times before someone called me back, and told me that they had sent it to a specialty pharmacy and it would be covered. Finally this pharmacy, in Yardley, tells me it’s not covered and would be $50 out of pocket, for a sulfur “face wash” which I am positive I can find at a CVS over the counter for far less. I will not be going back to this dermatologist ever again.

So far, my experience has been positive! I came here to treat my hormonal acne, and I met with Dr. Milchak, terrific. She establishes a connection by being warm, friendly, and pleasant, as well as knowledgeable and comforting. Fast forward over five months, and shes still fantastic, and Im receiving the same level of attention. I like Dr.s who are enthusiastic about their work and enjoy it. Its evident with Dr. milchak!

I have been using this practice for a fairly long time for various cosmetic (not medical) treatments, and recently went to Melanie Nevid for my botox injections. I was very pleased with the entire interaction. She was personable, professional and, most importantly, took time to listen to my preferences and observations about past treatments. I will definitely schedule my follow-up botox treatments with her in the future.

I was pleased by how clean and nice the office was and how easily they were to fit me in. However, I called for a specific doctor and was told she left the practice and would be seeing someone else. This doctor didnt take my issues seriously and it was a waste of money. I was there for two reasons and the first was completely blown off, no blood test and just a recommendation for something I can buy at the store. The second issue was swabbed but I did not receive any results and she prescribed a medication that I have been taking for years in which I specifically said it was not working. $155 later and I will be seeing yet another dermatologist.

I went for my annual skin check which I felt like they did a really great job, however; I was told that if I wanted to discuss anything else, skin issues, acne, etc. that there wouldn’t be enough time and I would need to schedule another appt (aka extra copay and another trip into to center city) Not helpful and not convenient. My whole experience felt very stiff, impersonal, and unfriendly. Won’t be going back here.

I go to the Center City office and my experience this far has been great. The ladies at the front are very pleasant and welcoming. During my consultation, Melissa was very nice and thorough when answering my questions. Mow that I have seen her a few times, my experience has been the same. A good pick for sure.

Tattoo removal Today done by Kristen nice lady good experience she did well with the laser treatment, explaining and showing great compassion. Although there was some grey areas with explaining how to use some creams she gave me for several blemishes. I had to look two of them up for proper use because they didn’t have directions or even say what it was for on the small samples. I was just told use this one of it doesn’t work use this other one. There was no sheet to explain everything we went over as far as the blemishes and what we spoke about for current or future treatments/care. She did good I just think things should be on paper for the Client to go home with especially when there’s a lot of explaining and a lot to take in.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Marissa Milchak. She is highly skilled along with having a wonderful bedside manner - a combination that is hard to find. She is very thorough and addressed all of my questions and concerns. The staff is equally competent and made the entire process seamless. I would certainly recommend them to anyone!

Ive been trying to get an appointment here for over a month now. Ive left two voicemails, sent a message through the website and tried to get them live on the phone and no returned calls or messages. In fact, my favorite incident was when I hit the call back option while I waited in line for a call and received a call back that rang ONCE before hanging up. When I called back, just wound up on hold again for 5 minutes. Pathetic.

At my first visit at the office, I received a warm greeting from the front desk and only waited about 5 min before being called back to the patient room. Dr. Hannaway and her medical assistant were super nice and informative!! Been going here for three years for a complete body scan as I have spent a lot of time in the sun over the years. Both doctors Ive seen have been very thorough and immediately address any concerns. Admin staff is also kind and helpful. I appreciate that they call me with lab results rather than leaving me waiting and wondering.

I called very briefly to schedule an appointment and within in that short amount of time I experienced some of the worst customer service ever. I didn’t end up using their services, so I can’t speak to the quality of their work, but the customer service is terrible.

I just had my third treatment for acne scarring with Bao Tran, and she is absolutely amazing. Her patient education is excellent. I definitely felt informed about the treatments and what to expect post treatment. Bao went in-depth about why she recommended certain treatments for me, but also gave me options in case I wasn’t comfortable with something. She was able to answer all of my questions, and I never felt rushed during my visit.The treatments I am receiving aren’t the most comfortable, and Bao was amazing talking me through them. She is like your personal cheerleader, and assessed my comfort level several times throughout the treatment. I still have more treatments to do, but so far have already seen an improvement with my skin.The office is also run extremely well, staff are friendly, and I have always been called back on time for my appointments. They have also always returned my calls promptly.

Loved Dr. Franziska! She was pleasant, attentive & passionate. She took her time with me, asked questions & waited for the response, unlike the office in the county. I felt rushed and undervalued there. I was going to cancel my follow up apt and go somewhere else, but I forgot to do so in time, but I’m glad I didn’t, b/c I wouldn’t have met Dr. Franziska.

I have been seeing Dr. Byrd for medical dermatology for psoriasis treatment. I recently had a cosmetic consult with her for filler and botox options. She was very informative and provided me with different options for my aging issues as well as being mindful of budget. Staff in office is always professional and office is clean.

All the doctors at the Philly practice are amazing. They are knowledgeable and caring. Appointments are easy to schedule online and usually available on short notice. The practice itself is clean and welcoming. All the staff are very friendly as well.

I had an appointment for my acne and I think the doctor did a great job overall on evaluating my skin. The only problem I have with my appointment was that it was very short and brief. She glanced at my face for not even a second and told me what it was and gave me a medication for it. She didnt really ask any questions, and it felt extremely rushed. I left and I realized I dont remember what my type of acne even is, and I dont know what its called. All I have is a cream, but I have no idea what Im treating. I would have liked to be given a paper or information on what is happening to my skin, or what the type of problem I have is called. She gave me instructions on how to use the cream but she only told me once, and I forgot when I got home. I needed to look it up, because I was given no paper or document telling me how to properly use it. Im not saying she treated it inaccurately, but I would like to have more knowledge instead of just trusting her without any of my own research, and look into my problem.

I originally set a laser appt at another facility but after reading reviews I canceled. Doing some research I found Ringpeil. I had went in for a consultation with Melissa and went over treatment plan and how many sessions I might need. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Today was my actual first session and I was really nervous. Melissa reassured me things would be fine and Id be taken care of.Melissa does her job very well and has a good sense of humor. The stress ball and ice pack definitely help. There was some pain but nothing too severe. I recommend coming here to Ringpfeil. They dont try and force packages on you like other places do.

I really like my interactions with Dr Byrd. She is nice and very knowledgeable. She tries different courses of treatment to exhaust all options. I like that as opposed to my regular Derm who kinda just gives me something and says ok see you in a few months. I’m going to make her my permanent Derm. Looking to replace my retired dermatologist, I chose this place based on the reviews. I knew they are expensive and was willing to pay it for good service. Below are the details of my disappointment.- Front staff: courteous but not informative. Did not explain what options I had as a first-time customer (I did not know I could just see an aesthetician for Botox) and scheduled me with the same dr. for 2 different issues, one cosmetic (botox) and one medical (annual derm check). Most likely this was done for my convenience, which I would have appreciated, were it not for the rest of the experience.- Time with dr:The annual derm check was uneventful, albeit not as thorough as I have had with other doctors.Botox: After I had entered the examination room I am told that there is a $150 Botox consultation fee that goes toward the final bill. Fine. Problem is, the $150 only covers Botox. Any other question would incur extra fees. So, say youre not sure Botox is the solution to what youre concerned about, then you need to pay the $150, and if its not, then pay extra to find out what a good solution would be. This was an absolute shock to me. Its not uncommon for practices to charge consultation fees, but I have never seen people charge fees for each procedure individually. I read reviews where people rave about the aetheticians giving wonderful free advice, so I am still puzzled. Maybe the drs are different? (Back to my previous point, the front staff never let me know that this is an option. ) Anyway the physician was polite and did offer to answer other questions but at that point I was seriously worried about the charges so I counted my words. I also felt like imposing on the dr. for favors - which is not how a patient should feel.- results: the dr. somehow managed to inject the botox in all the wrong places in a way that I have never experienced in the 10 years Ive been getting injections. I left the practice with the middle of my forehead frozen. Within 2 weeks, the hairline (where I happen to have most of the unruly muscles) moved and wrinkled just like there was no Botox. I had this alien look, half frozen-half wrinkled forehead for 1,5 month, when the results started fading away (unusually fast, but given the horror I was grateful for that). 2 months later I had to go to another practice to fix the Ringpfeil results (at half the price)- post-appointment. I asked for a receipt for the medical part of my appointment in order to submit to the FSA account. The billing staff could not comprehend the request. They kept sending me receipts for the whole appointment, including the botox, which of course is not eligible FSA expense. After a few tries, and either no response or an incomplete delayed response, I gave up.Needless to say, I will not go back nor do I recommend this practice. Honestly the 2 stars is a generous rating only because everyone was polite and the dr did make an effort to mitigate the ridiculous pricing policy and answer some of my questions.If you decide to give them a try, I would suggest that you request an appointment with the aestheticians, not the doctors.

I had laser hair removal with Bao and she explained everything so thoroughly! Bao really went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and was getting exactly what I needed. The process itself was very fast and nearly painless. I appreciated how streamlined the whole process was - from booking, to confirmation, to my actual appointment and checkout. Looking forward to my follow up. *edit: I have had several follow up sessions and Bao has been as wonderful, helpful, insightful, and encouraging as our first session. I no longer have hair in the area I had the procedure done (it can take a few sessions depending on hair thickness etc). I am so happy with the results. I trust Bao completely with my skin - so much so that I also got a laser treatment from her for acne scarring. I’m obsessed with the results. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

Dr. Maria Hannaway was AMAZING. Even though the procedure was in a very delicate and sensitive area she made me feel very confident that everything was going to be fine. I was very nervous and embarrassed at first but she quickly made that feeling go away. The doctor explained everything she was doing in a way that put me at ease and that I understood. She was made sure I knew exactly what I should expect after the surgery and how to care for it. I only wish it wasn’t in such a private area so I could have shown everyone her amazing skills. The thing that really surprised me was when I was at the pharmacy they said the office only called in one of the two prescriptions. So I called the office and they quickly called back the pharmacy to make sure they were both ready for me. The surprise came when 5 minutes later I got a phone call from Dr. Maria Hannaway to make sure everything was good. Now that’s an amazing person and doctor that she cares so much.

I called before hand for a consultation about a lip piercing scar removal. While on the phone they told me they would be able to do it. I went to the consultation and they basically told me they could not do anything, but they took pictures to see if I could do another option instead of laser scar removal. They said they would call me to let me know either way and I never recieved a call. A total waste of time.

Ringpfeil Dermatologists are professional, knowledgeable and they are thorough.Dr Bird reviews what we tackled prior, asks me about any new areas of concern and we define how we are going forward to keep my skin cancer manageable.Ringpfeil has a beautiful building and very relaxing environment. I often judge a Dr by their waiting room. The walls have plenty of artwork that is stimulating and tranquil at the same time.Also, there is a parking garage right next door to the office and they give you a discount coupon for the rate. Or Patco is easily accessible as well.I encourage you to make an appointment and experience the practice for yourself and your skin.

Received my first hair laser removal treatment today, it was quit and painless. Aesthetician Bao is very professional explained the procedure in full detail, she also talked me through the procedure and I was provided a stress ball (lol). Comfortable environment, I forgot my mask and was provided a mask, parking was validated, and they cleaned before and after my treatment.

My issues were solved very swiftly and the medication regime I was given is consistently updated to reflect changes. The appointments can be difficult to book, so it is easiest to wait until your first one then get on a 4 month cycle of visiting. The office is very comfortable and clean and features a lot of beautiful art work for sale on the walls. On average, an appointment lasts about 15 minutes from check in, so it is an easy and quick thing to work into your schedule. Additionally, if I have have any issues with my insurance the office is quick to call the insurance and dispute to get your medication which is great customer service. The practitioners are very kind as well as the doctors, and I have never had a bad experience!
