Our beagle has never been happier! The best part is the outdoor space. She is well taken care of and loved by all of the staff. I think a true testament to this business is that so many of the workers have been there since the beginning or close to. Lots of familiar faces let’s us know that everyone is happy and that translates in the care.

My dog Tallawah has been coming here for a few months and so far so good! She has a blast we appreciate that she is nice and tired when she comes home at the end of the day.I have found that the staff is on the ball with making sure the dogs stay safe and healthy. I can be somewhat of a helicopter parent and they have always been friendly and responsive to my requests. I also appreciated that they were willing to hold our package past the normal expiration date when my dog had a medical issue and couldn’t attend for 2 weeks. Finally, the cameras are definitely a plus. I love being able to peek in and see all the fun that she’s having.

My dog was attending this facility for over a year now. I did nothing but rave and rave about how much he loved it and how well taking care he was. I sent several friends there as well and recommended to others.Today, after a year and thousands of dollars spent boarding him there and sending him to daycare I was told he barks too much and can not come back. He barks because he’s excited for the pool and annoys the workers. I’m sorry but if you own or work In a dog daycare I would think dog barking would not be a problem.I had a 10 day reservation to board my dog in two wks and am now scrambling to find a place for him since I was blindsided this morning by an email saying he’s not welcome back. After a year! So he hasn’t barked all year? Definitely not great business ethic at all and very unprofessional. I’ll be sure to let everyone I recommended this place to that if your dog barks a lot they won’t be welcome.

👎 I am not one to write a review, especially not a scathing one but here it goes: I planned to board my dog for Memorial Day weekend and had one pleasant conversation over the phone with the owner Ted who made me feel very secure that it would be okay to bring in my dog for a few nights stay. He asked a few questions in the preliminary conversation, but kept it pretty casual and light. The next day after talking with Ted, I brought my dog in. To give you context, my dog is an 8 month old black lab weighing in at around 55 lbs.Heres where the horror begins: When I brought him in the front, Ted and one other employee greeted us. At first my dog was a bit jumpy because of being excited and from seeing all of the dogs through the window before coming in. The first reaction I got from Ted was a sour look and him saying Your dog isnt giving me good vibes. I thought to myself, a happy puppy not giving you good vibes? ok...I filled out a form and he asked me to come to a smaller room so that my dog could meet a few of the big dogs. One by one he brought out a dog, and my dog was very excited and again jumpy when playing with them. Ted was standing there with his arms crossed shaking his head and saying I dont know, hes really jumping up a lot. Then he brought another dog out, and it was a better fit. My dog was playing really nicely with the female lab and she took to him immediately. Then another, and then another came out. Out of the 5 dogs he brought out, only one was warning my dog to back off. While we were in the smaller room, Ted told me he couldnt have my dog stay in his care. Shocked, I asked him why and he said your dog is too energetic and Im afraid hes going to be mounting and jumping on every dog in my facility. I told him he just needed to calm down a bit and it would be fine, but he denied us care. The whole time we were in there he was making horrible faces and comments and made me feel as if I had a terrible dog. Meanwhile, my dog is super friendly to pups and humans and hes been in the care of other boarders without any issues. Even on the exit, Ted didnt make me feel better or reassured. My entire Memorial Day weekend plans were ruined because of him not being able to take in my lovely 8 month old pup.My advice to him and management is ask more questions and be more thorough before booking. Ask if the dog is jumpy, if they are fixed, if they sometimes show dominance, etc. etc. I would have assured him that my dog can start off doing those things but will calm down eventually and fit in great with the group as he has in the past with other play groups and dog boarding facilities. In fact my puppy is an regular at another daycare in Philly and they told me hes great and gets along well with all of the dogs minus a couple that he doesnt pay any mind to.If you want to find a facility that makes you feel warm and accepted dont go here. Ted just gives off cold vibes and makes you feel like you have a bad dog.I left so upset and Im still upset by the whole incident.

My dog Marley was scheduled for an evaluation for daycare and OMG, he didnt want to leave lol!!! I loved the size not over crowded, so all the dogs were able to get attention. Its really a nice doggie day care. Marley came home wiped out, from so much fun. We didnt even stay the whole day and they offered to let him stay.

Forgot to write this sooner, but my GSD had a blast here. This was my first time taking him to any type of day care and it was a success! Love how they have a live stream camera in every room, I was able to check on him all day without calling. We’ll definitely be bringing Jaxx back for some pool days soon :)

Wouldn’t recommend for dogs over 70lbs, from the moment I walked into the meet and greet I could tell they didn’t want me or my pup there. My dog is a playful and friendly poodle mix, but he’s 100lbs... they brought another pup out to meet him and the second my dog sniffed the other dog the owner ripped him back told me to come back another time. In fact, the pulling on my dogs collar was forceful and unwarranted enough that if it was a stranger on the street or a less professional situation... It woulda been me he had to worry about doing the fighting... not the dogs! I waited to write this review until I tested 3 other day care spots and had a much better experience at all of them. To be fair, the smaller pups there seem very happy.

I have no experience with this business so that’s why I gave the 5 star review. I mean no Ill will but yall can really be some pretentious a**h**** during this evaluation process. Granted it is your business so hey accepting and rejecting is absolutely your call to make. But as someone who had a similar experience at four paws in morrisville, bucks county, I can honestly say it sounded like the same experience I had. My dog after being stuck inside for 3 days due to my 12 hour rotating shift schedule and an unexpected 3 days of pouring rain stood 0 chance in the evaluation. The whole reason I brought him there, because of the situation I was in work wise and with lack of help, was used against my dog in the most smug and disrespectful way possible. His excitement was way higher than I ever could have anticipated but in hindsight I should have known that with my inability to properly walk him like I know he needs to be walked. So I totally believe this lady, I can almost see your smug face now when the puppy was doing puppy things, not your more customer friendly face you don when you have some dormant sleepy cash dog that you’re eager to accept, and hey that’s the nature of your business I imagine. Even your comment about how happy she would be if her dog had been accepted oozes of pretentiousness that makes me sick. You missed the whole point of her review though. It was your lack of professionalism. If my dog acts a little too much like, a dog, I’d honestly be on the fence about even going through your evaluation process. Because some people don’t have the patience for a condescending demeanor and to avoid unnecessary conflict, they should probably skip your business altogether. You run a dog care facility, try to stay grounded and remember customer service to the humans comes first .

This guy makes it super hard. My labradoodle is fully vaccinated and has been regularly visiting the Dog Stop in Pittsburgh and Camp Bow Wow in NE Philly, no problem. This guys wanted her vaccination records back to her birth. Odd. Just odd. I mean I could go back to the breeder but why? Added to the fact the only “interview” times are Friday mornings when the people who can pay his prices are working to pay them. Bad vibes all around. And just weird!

So I waited a long time to post this review because I don’t like to disparage small businesses. But I felt it was necessary to share my experience.I brought both of my dogs for an evaluation in the summertime when my regular dog day care closed unexpectedly. I have one dog who is very active and the other who is very timid. My first impression of the owner was that he was very full of himself, and definitely not experienced with dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and he just seemed very uncomfortable. When I asked why he decided to open this daycare and about his experience, he just said he loved hanging with his dogs and so I suspect it was related to money.Second thing I noticed was the place reeks. Dogs aren’t walked and are clearly allowed to use the bathroom wherever and whenever. My dogs were there for a total of maybe 40 minutes and they needed a bath when they got home. Also the pool was green, owner reported he did a water test from Home Depot and sent it out himself to figure out the problem, clearly didn’t want to pay to have it rectified. Also the outdoor area is quite small, however the indoor area is a good size but just smells terrible. The girls working were in little referee uniforms with the shortest shorts on which I just felt was unnecessary, but not really that important, just speaks to the kind of guy the owner is.However the most important thing that turned me off was the way he handled introductions. He has the dogs in a small room and then introduces several dogs and then more and more until there’s like 20 dogs in a super confined space. It’s very uncomfortable as a human and for my one dog this was overwhelming because he takes time to warm up on his own and needs space. My dog isn’t aggressive but I could tell he was uncomfortable and when I tried to check on him the owner reprimanded me. He also has a spray bottle which he squirts at dogs who jump, which I am just not down with. It’s mad unnecessary. My other dog is very hyper but super friendly and he kept spraying her. Then we went out into the pool area, which like I said was green but still open. My one dog fell in the deep end and started to panic and had to be pulled out, but no big deal she’s fine and figured it out. What I didn’t like was my other dog who is timid was just hanging around the edge trying to figure it out and he just basically picked him up and threw him in. That was it for me.The guy clearly has no experience with dogs, is arrogant as you can tell by his responses to people’s reviews, and the place just smells terrible. I was so happy my regular dog daycare opened back up—but I won’t say the name lest I be accused of working for them. If you’re a first time dog owner you may not know better, but I highly recommend you find a place where they are more compassionate and experienced.EDIT: Simba WAS ACCEPTED after his evaluation and also I might add goes to his other doggy daycare weekly with zero issues. So this is very much not a revenge post, especially since I dont have the time or energy for that as a working professional. Also Id like to add the reason the owner had to leave his dog daycare in California was BECAUSE A DOG DIED IN HIS CARE. So yeah, *mic drop*

Philadelphia canine sports club is the best! The facility is beautiful and clean with a very nice large pool for the pups to use! We bring our 6 month old boxer/lab mix Duke and I am very pleased. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Duke had to come in for a brief evaluation first to make sure he would do well with the other dogs which I very much appreciated. Going to work I feel confident that Duke is safe and being well taken care of. When he comes home, Duke is exhausted and will sleep for the rest of the night which shows how much fun he has while there! Highly recommend!

I was sending this as a recommendation to a friend, and I noticed Ariannas review. I honestly dont understand how we could be reviewing the same place. We have been sending our Goldendoodle Tommy to PCS&S since October 2020. Since then, we have utilized the daycare service 3x/week, left him for 6 weekend overnight stays, and do grooming every 6 weeks. All of these services have exceeded my expectations. In the morning, I ask him if he wants to go see his friends, and he is SO PUMPED. He literally never looks back at me ;) The staff (including very professional and respectful women...not displaying some sort of sexy clothing that another reviewer is talking about) always greets me at the door with a huge smile and genuine excitement to see Tommy. Another staffer who spent time with him on the overnight weekend taught him to spin around while he was there and asked me if I had anything I wanted him to work on next time he was going to be there. He NEVER smells like hes been in a dirty place, and the place is pristine. Spraying with a water bottle for undesirable behaviors is NOT some sort of mistreatment. Honestly, I dont know how the place could be managed any better, and we are SO grateful for Tommys exhaustion level when he gets home cause hes such a great pup. We could never tire him out the way he gets tired out with his friends! (We know this because in the week of healing after his neutering, he was a complete terror!). I was recommended here by a friend, and we have recommended PCS&S to others as well!! 5 stars!

I unfortunately don’t think I’d feel comfortable taking my small dogs here ever again. The website clearly states small dogs will be in separate areas from the big dogs. I’ve taken my pups here twice before and that was always the case. Today however I dropped my pups off and they had ONE person to staff the entire facility. As the guy takes my pups back of house, I notice he’s putting them in the large dog area. I question it, and the response is that on weekends they have less staff so they just put all dogs together in one room. That might be fine and well with an adequate staff to dog ratio - but I counted roughly 15 large dogs being manned by one person. My 7lb chihuahua is a huge size disparity from the husky and German Shepard that were in the room, who had zero human supervision while I was checking them in at reception. After not even an hour, I was so uncomfortable with the level of supervision I saw on the camera for the number of dogs in the room I had to make arrangements to have my dogs picked up and they were traumatized the rest of the day.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. My high-energy GSD mix Jango is obsessed with this place. We have tried another doggie daycare before & we did not feel the dogs were actually being watched (which had resulted in various injuries to my dog). We have only been sending him to Ted & his wonderful staff for a few months now but here, I know they are being paid attention to. Another review mentioned the spray bottles of water. PLEASE SPRAY MY DOG IF HE IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG SO HE KNOWS BETTER FOR NEXT TIME. Jango always comes home exhausted & loves going to school, as I say. Honestly, last week he walked in all by himself from the car and didnt even look back at me. P.S. The in-ground pool is also such a great perk.

Tried to get my 7 month old Great Dane boarded here only to find out that he has too much energy. Not aggressive just “high-energy” and wants to play. To be clear, the guy in charge has an obsession with medium to small size “low-energy” dogs as he states he owns 2 of them. He is also very over protective of them during the evaluation process because they simply aren’t playful. Sorry my puppy isn’t as lame as he should be???Response: You called me personally because you know I’m right and yes the review was more than fair because it happened in reality. What do you mean by “All the other dog owners?” They never saw my dog neither did I see them. You gotta learn stop that lying to try and make a point it never works for conscious people, I tell my gf the same thing when she wanna argue.

I have checked out nearly every doggy daycare in the city and have never felt as good about sending my dog anywhere as I do about Sport n Swim. Flexible pick up and drop off times, discounted 10-day package, a friendly staff, and a large facility make it perfect for my crazy 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. The dogs have open access to the inside area and the outside area, and are only allowed in the big pool when a staff member is present (it is gated off in the backyard). My dog comes home ready for bed (which is rare)! You can also check in during the day via their 8 live dog cams on their website. So happy I found this facility and excited my pup gets to enjoy it during the hot summer days!

Best of the best. I dont know if I can have children after watching my 5 month old golden retriever, Louie, prance happily away from me on his first day of doggy day care; yet I am so so happy too to have found such a great place. I am a total helicopter mom and will be the first to admit it, but Ted was AMAZING at introducing us to the facility and making us feel comfortable. I appreciated that he took the time to check all our vaccines and to ensure that Lous behavior was up to parr for their standards. I was able to watch all the web cams on his first day, and I was such a proud mama as I saw Louie swim (for the first time!) in the pristine pool. He got so much love too from the staff there too (maybe a little too much, hes spoiled now). We both cannot wait to come back!

I love bringing my dog Copa here! Very convenient drop off and pick up fines, webcams and friendly staff! Every time Copa comes home, he’s so tired he sleeps all day the next day! I love the swimming pool for him too - not only does he get to splash and have fun but swimming is so good for the joints of an Aussie. My ONLY complaint is the price - when we started it was $35 for all day which was perfect. We have been limiting some time coming back since they boosted the price to $41 just because of hard times right now. Other than that, this place is perfect!

My dog went from being afraid to go to daycare at our previous establishment to running through the door to the play yard at Sport n Swim Club. From the minute we first walked in I had good vibes. I was able to stay for the whole interview portion and see how they worked with the dogs. They were supportive of my dog who is more of a wader than a swimmer. He comes home from daycare completely exhausted but SO happy. Not only do they have webcams, but they have an active Instagram page that has real-time updates as well.Sport N Swim Club is exactly what I needed for peace of mind and my best pal has never been happier!

I love this place. As a first time dog owner of a 7 month old high energy pup, I was so happy to be able to drop her off for a day of fun on days I just couldn’t give her the attention she needed. The staff here is great - attentive and engaging, but willing and able to referee things when they have to. Ted the owner is wonderful, and recently intervened when my doggie apparently had an insect bite which caused an allergic reaction, taking her to the vet next door (another plus) when I couldn’t be immediately reached. The pool is awesome for hot days, though the A/C is on when needed. The live webcams let you view your pup in several different areas at all times. Really couldn’t be happier.

Those leaving reviews about their discrimination against pits must be misinformed.

Highly recommend Philly Canine Sports Club to anybody in the Philly area with a fur baby! The daycare is just a few blocks away from my home making it very easy and convenient for drop off and pick up on my way to and from work. All staff members that I’ve met have been nothing, but very pleasant, sweet, and accommodating to me and my baby, Arlo. Ted, the owner, is very easy to work with and helpful with any questions or concerns. To start, the facilities are spotless with all safety measures put in place. The indoor play areas are very open and large for all the babies to play and run. The outdoor area is also complete with an in ground pool and smaller kiddie pools. Anytime my dog has gone, he has come back to me tired and obviously well loved. Being the crazy dog mom that I am, one of my favorite services is the ability to check in on Arlo via their online webcams! Check this place out if you’re in need of daycare or boarding!

Very disappointing! The owner and staff are ignorant and discriminatory, spreading fear and hatred towards pit bulls. They told me I couldnt bring my pit to meet their pack because they wouldnt want to waste my time because we already know how its going to go. I have had my dog 2 1/2 years and we are together 24/7. In order to deal with separation anxiety and my need for a break now and then, this looked like the best place. I have looked at other daycares and I saw them just milling around like a holding cell and stressed. I watched webcams from Camp BowWow all over the country, even went to one for 4 hours (I ended up sitting in the parking lot watching him.) This place has a flexible surface in the agility room, astroturf in other rooms, the pool is 5 feet deep on the far end, and easy to get into for little dogs. Mine is 45 pounds. It took 10 days and a swim-with-your-human Sunday for him to start getting excited about going. He still stares at the door for me, but I can see he is starting to interact. The staff tries to develop a relationship with the dogs different personalities. Mine is a South Asian Village Dog, so he is rather aloof and stays on the edge and watches. They are very concerned about aggression understandably as this is a new business, and they will turn dogs away, thankfully. And, of course, as I am dealing with my own separation anxiety, I can watch on the webcams all day long and get nothing done at home.

Confused how this facility is supposed to be training experts with dogs but has restrictions on particular dog breeds. Philadelphia has an overage of dogs at ACCT and other rescue facilities, particularly pit bulls. Anyone that has any type of expertise with dogs knows that Pit Bulls are no more ‘aggressive’ than any other dog. Know your facts before you open and don’t discriminate in a city that has a large population of this breed.
