I had used this dentist last year when my dentist office had closed. I decided to continue with them this year for another routine cleaning. When I got in the chair the hygienist asked me if I had X-rays and I explained I received a full set last year. She said she did not see them. The hygienist then said that she was going to do a deep cleaning and I asked if that was scaling and she said yes. I explained I had scheduled dental cleaning not scaling. I told her last year when I had my teeth cleaned the dentist recommended scaling I asked her how much that it would cost me out of pocket and it was several hundred dollars so I held off. I have no problems with my teeth. Yes I would like to have scaling in the future I have done it three times before and being 60 years old I know that I can use it again but I was there that day for routine cleaning. When I scheduled my appointment the office asked if I had any problems with my teeth I said no I just needed routine cleaning. The hygienist went and talked to the dentist who I did not have a chance to talk to during my visit and she came back and said I cant keep putting off my appointment for scaling and she will not be able to help me today with my cleaning because they dont have time. I explained I wasnt putting off any appointment I never scheduled one for scaling and I was confused why they had time to do the scaling but not time to do a routine cleaning. It was not easy for me to take off work that day. Later that day I called the office and asked for a copy of my x-rays but I still have not received them even though they said they would email them to me. Im very disappointed in the service. They made me feel like I was the problem when they were the one that had scheduled the wrong appointment for me. I clearly stated what I wanted. I feel this office is more about trying to sell other services and make money than to help their patients get what they want. I would recommend another office there are dozens of other dentists in the city. Instead of reading reviews ask your friends and family who a good dentist is. I have a store around Jefferson hospital and I have received some good recommendations from the doctors and nurses that come into my store. They explain to me that this is not the first time theyve heard negative stories about this office

I have been seeing doctor Malik for the past two years now. Last month I came in an emergency with a lot of pain. Doctor Malik was very patient and explained me the entire procedure. I asked if she could extract the tooth since that is what was suggested by different offices in the past. She said the tooth was savable and did not prefer to do that unless absolutely necessary. I let her do what she is best at doing and trusted her. Its been a few weeks now and I am happy that I have that tooth saved. :)I was very nervous before going in , but everyone assured that I am in the best care and helped me get through.I will just stick to this office for any procedures I need in future.

I was charged a no show fee after I booked an appointment online thorgh ZocDoc. The front desk called me to reschedule the time, and after I called back to find a new time for the appointment they never got back to me (I left a detailed message with my name and number).They even added an extra $1.20 as a 90 days overdue and the appointment was scheduled two weeks ago.This is NOT the first time my appointments have been pushed off of their schedule and I have had to accommodate them. I even showed up once for an appointment and the doctor was over 25 minutes late citing traffic as the excuse. I waiting the extra time. Should I have charged them for the no-show???If you cant handle the online scheduling tools and keep it up to date, dont offer the service. Nothing to do with the quality of the teeth clean, just poor management.

I recently moved to Philadelphia from Toronto, Canada. A few weeks ago, I experienced some tooth pain and knew I had to go in to see a dentist. I did a lot of research and came across Dr. Malik on Google. Based on the positive reviews, I decided to go into see her. I was still fairly nervous about seeing a new dentist, specially during COVID. However, my experience with Dr.Malik was nothing short of stellar. She immediately took me in as I was in a lot of pain and was able to diagnose/treat my tooth. More importantly, her staff did a great job of ensuring they followed through with safety protocols for the pandemic. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and will continue to visit Dr.Malik for any future dental emergencies and maintenance work.

I used to be absolutely horrified of the dentist because of bad experiences Ive had in the past. Dr. Malik has turned that around for me by being gentler, speedier, and more thorough than what I expect the average dentist is. Her staff is fantastic and kind. Would highly recommend 👌

I moved to Philly about 2 years ago and I was looking for a dentist. I was nervous about starting with a new dentist so I read a lot of reviews and heard good things about Nicholas Cosmetic Dental. The reviews were very accurate. I love the cleanliness and professionalism I feel when I enter the office and Dr. Malik is wonderful! I am an anxious person when it comes to doctors and Dr. Malik has been very accommodating!I would strongly recommend this for anyone new to the area that is looking for a dentist. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Malik for almost a year now and she and her staff have been nothing short of amazing. Weve had regular cleanings, cavity fillings, minor cosmetic work and most recently, I started the dental implant process. All procedures were thoroughly explained and virtually painless. The office is also very clean and stylish. Great music too. I would definitely recommend !

Normally all dentist offices I go to give you a reminder the day before you have the appointment. As patients have busy lives and do need reminders. They did not give me the reminder and I hadnt realized I had an appointment and they charged me a late fee. They sent a vague email saying that you are due for appointment. Nothing about the appointment time or date was or in the email. They also dont give you an appointment card as your leaving your last appointment. I guess appointment cards are just too expensive for them. Even though I rescheduled the appointment they charged me a late fee. I do not recommend going to this dentist as they will nickle and dime you.

Excellent experience for my first time. Great atmosphere, very nice employees and the most important, I had a pleasant experience for a dentists office. I have super sensitive teeth and Malik was wonderful and very accommodating and took it slow without the water/air rinse on while cleaning. I booked my two cavities to be filled in two weeks and made an appointment for my 4 year old to get her first check up.

Dr. Shireen is the most caring and very Professional dentist I ever met. She gave me advice to best suit my needs and was well thorough with answers to my questions. Ill drive on the 304 for 1.2 hours to get to this dentist any day. all staff and Dr. welcoming and friendly.

Dr. Malik is a thoughtful, patient and thorough caregiver who helped dig me out of years of neglect of my teeth. She can also work incredibly fast, which is great for those of us with some trepidation about the dentist. And while its a small thing, the fact that she answers the phone herself and schedules her own appointments is such a rare and welcome touch of contact with a person who, after all, youre trusting with your comfort and health!

My first visit was this past Saturday February 29th. When I made my appointment Dr. Malik was very kind. I gave her a heads up that I get very nervous when I come to the dentist. She assured me that I had nothing to worry about and that I would be okay. She was right. I was very nervous I even had my 10 year old daughter with me for moral support. When I arrived she greeted me by name. When I was called in the back I let the dental assistant know that I was very nervous. She was kind and treated me accordingly. I was in some pain from a tooth that cracked. Dr. Malik suggested I get a temporary crown so that I wouldnt be in any pain and to save my tooth. She assured me I would feel no pain during the procedure. She was right. I felt no pain. I didnt even feel a pinch from the needle. I have to go back in 3 weeks to get more work done. I already recommended a friend to visit this office.

Ive been coming to cosmetic dentistry for seven years the staff is outstanding I get the best cleanings always on time Ive had a root canal prompt good follow-up evening appointments and a Friday once a month!!

I am so surprised this place has such good reviews. Dr. Malik maxed out my insurance and said it would reset in January, so I went to my appointment only to pay in full because none of her staff looked into my insurance that actually resets in July. She blames every problem she encounters on the patient. For example, I told her my jaw was swollen and I was in a lot of pain and she told me I must be grinding or clenching my teeth while I sleep. My pain was actually due to an abscess that she overlooked. If you would like to see a dentist that actually cares about you and the state of your mouth, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Ive been going for maybe 2 years now and shes always so gentle and informative. She communicates through email as well, which is awesome for me as I deal with some anxiety. Even if I miss appointments (which of course I pay a fee) she is accommodating and rebooks. I got Invisalign here and it has been pretty painless (compared to braces) and it has been swell. Definitely recommend.

Excellent experience with painless cleaning few weeks ago and then a less than 10 min filling yesterday. Use listerine or generic version mouth wash, it really helps if u hate to floss. Dr. Shireen is great along with her team.

Doctor helped me out, I had an emergency appointment and, she take care of me. My wisdom tooth was literally hurting so bad that she had to numb me just to look inside my mouth!! Would like to share a great dental experience. Had a dentist appt. @ 9:30. Was numb, in the chair, wisdom tooth pulled and out the office by 9:50.Doesnt get any better than that. I’ve been a patient at NCDC for the past four years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Malik sees patients on Saturdays which has been really helpful when my schedule fills up. She and her staff are friendly and efficient and my appointments always start right on time. I don’t have dental insurance but NCDC offers a membership program where, for $200 per year, you get two cleanings (six months apart) and yearly X-rays. I appreciate Dr. Malik’s flexibility in scheduling, her clean and organized office, and her options for payment.

My first experience to get any type of work done in too many years to mention, even though I felt at ease from the way I was received by Dr Malik I still had your run of the mill anxiety of the unknown.Money was of course the question we all have especially if you are paying out of pocket, which I am this time. Dr Malik explained the payment plan of each visit that fitted my budget and she worked with me for the time period that was conducive for me, I liked that it was her, the Dentist who was the one working on my teeth who was also collaborating with me and not a finance person who was removed from what I be experiencing from beginning to end... Refreshing.My work consisted of getting a bridge put in ( temporary for now ) later return tooth extract ( which added to my anxiety ) then return at some point to get crown and permanent work finished.As you can see it’s not a simple cleaning procedure, however with each step literally Dr Malik and her Assistant ( I apologize for not getting her name ) shown extreme care and sensitivity to how I may or did feel systematically. It seemed every move before it was taken was told and explained to me for my comfort level. Was there pain and discomfort ? I think a bit of awkwardness is a lack of a better word, which is completely understandable having your mouth worked on. Dr Malik made sure I was as comfortable as I could be which was appreciated.Due to the fact I had work done my mouth was a bit sensitive after my visit and the numbness had to wear off before I could fully see how the temporary work looked, I have to say.. I am a very particular person and my standards are high though reasonable.When I finally looked... and looked repeatedly at my teeth, I was more and more pleased with the outcome, and if this was a sign of things to come, I will be Dr Malik’s permanent client here on. I’m one that adheres by “ Seeing is believing “ I had a couple questions right away, she likely already addressed them but I wanted to ask anyway, I decided to email in case she was with other patients which I saw as I left the office. Within a short amount of time I got my answers and reassurances.I consider myself an honest person. I never recommend any product or services I have not tried myself, I can confidently offer my recommendations to you or anyone who is considering having their teeth improve whether in general or appearance wise, it’s will be a Win Win situation!I hope this gives you a bit more insight into Dr Malik’s practices as a Dentist upon making your final decision. I know going to any kind of Doctors can be confusing and who wants to go through trials and error to find out, not me. I know this was a long review, but we are talking about someone working on your mouth you never met ! Hi my name is LaCresha and when I had a extremely bad experience with dental offices in the Phila area.I was referred to Dr Malik by my Cuzin and she indicated that she was pleasant patience and very caring and all that was true I was frightened when I step foot in her office I was hyperventilating, crying Jumping all over the place but she keep reinsure me I’m going to be ok. she’s very caring patience and she wants the best for not only your teeth you as well. She double checks on me because my anxiety was bad I use to bring along my 72yr old aunt with me for reinsurance but gues what I walk in Dr Malik office by myself now because I know I’m in excellent hands with My favorite Dentist. I had a messed up smile but once she performed the root canal and provide me with a beautiful cap I’m smiling for days thanks to her. Dr Malik you are the best!!!
