Im very happy with the product that she recommended and was pleasantly surprised to learn that new clients get 20% off a product AND a free deep conditioning treatment during the shampoo. So cool!

I had my first appointment last Sunday for a single color process and hair cut, my hair still feels and looks great, shinny and I love my haircut. Service was amazing and the place is clean and pretty cozy while modern inside. Staff are very nice and the overall experience was pretty good .

My hair had gotten way too long and was so damaged, but Cayla performed a miracle. She was so kind and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Now, my hair is healthy, voluminous, and so beautiful! Highly recommend this place. I will definitely be going back again.

Annie is the absolute best with lash lifts and tints, as well as brow tints! She is so gentle, careful, and thorough. I always leave feeling so much more confident in myself and amazed at the results! I highly recommend seeing her for any service! I’ve been coming to Salon L for hair and facial needs since I moved to a Manayunk and haven’t visited anywhere else since - I’m always so happy with the results and love their environment (especially that my dog can join!)!

This was one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. Period. The facilities are gorgeous! The front desk was personable and efficient. I got the pleasure of working with Michael and I couldnt be happier with my trim. I have difficult curly hair that takes time and curl expertise and finding a stylist who can cut it has always been a challenge. Not only did Michael give me a great cut but also TAUGHT ME about my hair while I was in the chair. Gabriella also gave a phenomenal scalp massage and treatment at the shampoo bowl! A+ experience all around! Highly recommend!

I visited Salon L for the first time yesterday after being a client of another local salon for the past few years. I made the switch after my old salon wasn’t able to see me for two months out and Salon L had availability the next week, and I am so glad I did! I made an appointment with Riley, who took me back as soon as I arrived. She was super sweet, and did a phenomenal job!! I wanted to even out my color and to clean up the ends to make it more manageable and she went above and beyond. We needed to go a little darker than I had planned to make sure it blended, and I am glad we did because she made it look even better than I had hoped. I’m also incredibly pleased with the haircut, it is super light and fluffy and the ends feel great, and she didn’t even have to take off as much as I was expecting. Lastly, the overall cost was $20-30 cheaper than I typically spent at my previous salon, which is always a plus! I highly recommend Salon L after my experience yesterday.

Im normally not one to leave reviews, but Im just so happy with everything from Salon L. I used to go to a well known salon in the city, but started to feel like business wasnt valued. I called Salon L out of the blue after my former salon called to try and push my appointment out 3 months. Salon L was amazing from start to finish. I called and was able to book an appt for Saturday and not only was I able to book on a weekend, but I was able to get in on the date of my choosing and at my preferred time! My former salon wasnt offering weekend times and I would have to take what I could get even if it meant having to take off of work. My stylist was amazing and made me feel valued. My hair looks great but what really mattered to me was the customer service. Ive already booked my next appointment and cant wait to return.

My mom came to visit and was doing her hair at home when she severely tangled it in her comb. It was so bad that my mom was crying because she thought they would have to cut it all the way down to her skull to get untangled. I called this salon and they graciously squeezed her in on a Sunday right before an Eagles game. Not only was the service FANTASTIC, but they were kind and gentle with my mom. Everyone at the salon pitched in and reassured my mom that her hair would be fine. They spent a good hour and half on her and somehow they managed to get her hair free. Everyone at this salon was amazing and the service was beyond expectations. I am extremely grateful for the care they gave my mom and how attentive they were to all of her needs during this very strange event. In addition, they werent interested in charging us an exuberant amount for all of their work. The pricing was more than reasonable, it was worth every penny. My mom was adamant that when she comes back to visit she will be going back to the salon to get her hair done because of how amazing they are.Thanks to EVERYONE at the salon who were kind to my mother. As a son, I am not able to express how grateful I will always be for such great service.

I took my 11-year-old daughter for her first haircut at a real salon and Cayla, her stylist, was wonderful. The place is beautiful, the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to center city prices. Covid-19 distancing measures were in place and its extremely clean. The girls who were at the front desk who greeted us were very sweet and welcoming, too. We will definitely be back and Im looking forward to trying their spa services for myself.

My first experience and I loved it. My daughter got a trim and blue streaks - color was deep and bright and lasted (we did purchase the recommended shampoo). I got a blunt bob cut. Best haircut I have ever had, looks amazing and easy to care for. Its expensive but priced accordingly - you get what you pay for.

I have been a client for about 3 years and have not gotten disappointed with any of their services. Ryan is an amazing stylist and very honest, which is hard to find in many places.

I took my teenaged daughter to Salon L for partial highlights and her colorist/ stylist, Amber, was just wonderful. She listened closely to what my daughter wanted, and asked us questions to ensure we were all on the same page. She was professional and friendly, as was the manager and the front desk staff. There also very Covid compliant. I would highly recommend this Salon to anyone.

Ill admit partial hair coloring is not a regular thing for me. Nevertheless my stylist nailed a beautiful color for me for $240. The only thing that rattled me was the general hair care that took place in the salon and in my own experience. Hair was being detangled from the root to tip... Which is a big No No. It didnt help that this was happening with tiny ass combs. So I passed on the detangling.COME FOR THE COLOR BUT NOT FOR HAIR CARE.

I loved my friends hair . I asked her where she had it done . She told me of your salon . My hair has been over processed by my former salon . I walked into the salon and was greeted by the warmest front desk . For Covid I stayed in my car and called first . The salon was immaculate and I watched as they disinfected after each client . My hair ended up getting on the road to recovery with highlights and an amazing hair cut . Michael listened to me and was not pushy at all . He knew what was the right look for meHe said it will take a bit to get my hair in super great shape since it was a complete mess to begin with . He gave me a cut where I have many ways to wear my hair . I would highly recommend this high class salon . I love my hair !!

My go-to place for all my hair needs! I’ve been going here for about a year now, and have never been disappointed. Kadie does an amazing job with cutting my hair, and is so easy to talk to you. I recently went in to trial their blow dry bar for my engagement photos later that day, and had Candice who did such a wonderful job with listening (and following through with) the style I was looking for. She also had a lot of great curly hair advice which is always a plus! Highly recommend!

I visited Salon L this past Sunday for the first time. Coming from Manhattan, I know Sundays are usually a skeletal shift at salons, if they are even open. I figured I would be placed with someone who was novice. I was wrong. Cayla was perfection. Not only did I feel like I had known her for years, she made my hair look and feel amazing. I wouldnt know the difference between my Park Avenue hair salon and her work. She was phenomenal. Go see this woman. Shes young, fresh, knowledgeable, and the best part... kind and caring. I look forward to returning to her again.

Dana has been doing my hair for 9 years!!! She gives me the best cuts, she is always on time, and I trust her with my eyes closed. Even when I lived overseas for years, I would still come back to Salon L to get my hair cut! The whole team is super nice and the salon is beautiful!!

Annie provides the most amazing facials and is great with talking you though how to manage your skin. She also does great work with microblading, my eyebrows had trouble growing in and she has made them look amazing. She is super friendly and has a great personality, love all of her services!

My experience at this salon was EXCELLENT. They are very welcoming and friendly, and they even offer you tea or coffee while you get your hair done. I went as part of a wedding party, and the person who did my hair (Ryan) was outstanding. He captured exactly what I wanted, and was so fun and enjoyable to talk to. My up-do stayed in place for hours of dancing and photographs. I highly recommend this place!

Love Salon L! I get my hair cut and color from Candice and lashes from Amber. Everyone is so friendly, salon is clean and beautiful.

The stylists are very nice and I was treated well when I went. I had lovely, long, 2c/3a curly hair but wanted it shorter. Unfortunately, my curl pattern wasn’t considered during my cut and it got a little messed up. I’m waiting for it to grow out bc it looks so wonky now (think my coils were kept until about 1/2 way down and the rest is straight, so weird). I don’t know if they have a stylist who is especially good with curls and diva cuts but make sure you ask before going. I didn’t and I regret the cut I got. However, the staff are really nice, the place is clean and I would recommend for someone with less complex hair!

I had a great experience getting full highlights by Amber. She listened to what I wanted and we talked through how to accomplish it. The salon was clean and my appointment started on time. My only improvement suggestion is being upfront on pricing. I hade no idea what it would cost until it was already done. There was no description on what made the service cost what it did.(website states starting at 100+)

Although I have tried out several salons for haircuts/dye, I have been going to see Annie for bikini waxing for the past 12 years. Even as I type that, I cant believe its been that long! She is so funny and easy-going, which is important when you have someone ripping your hair out by the roots :) Their new salon is beautiful and has parking, which makes it convenient in Manayunk. Ive recommended lots of friends to go here (for waxing), and everyone has been pleased with the service. If you check in on social media, they usually offer a small discount too!

Awesome salon! Got my hair done there for my wedding. My bridal party loved their hair and make-up. Everyone looked great. I travel almost an hour to get my hair cut and colored at Salon L-Manayunk.

I have been going to this salon for over a year now. Amber pays attention and takes plenty of time for each cut and understands how to work with my fine hair to add some more body and style.It is expensive by my standards, but well worth it.

New location opened late 2016 and is more convenient parking as they have a small lot. Beautiful interior and knowledgeable staff. I have been a client of Stefanies for 8 years and am always happy when I leave.

I was very happy with my first visit and tremendously disappointed with my follow up visit.After getting the initial treatment that i wanted, I was told I had to come back to refresh the color and brighten it up a little more. I was excited to get the final results but I was not looking forward to paying another 350$ like I paid the first time. The lady that did my hair told me that would not be the case because I did not need a cut or anything outside of the color refresher.So when I went to my follow up appointment six weeks later I was seen by a different person than the first time. The girl that did my hair the last time had quit in the meantime. (Bummer)So he went on and dyed my hair according to the description I gave him and the result was well done and I was happy with it, but when I got to the register they asked for a stunning 260$. I didn’t understand and asked why so much and the answer was because “he had to use more dye because of the length of my hair”. That sounded odd to me because a balayage started at 125$ their website said. I could not believe that he had to use more than double of the average amount for my hair that was a little bit longer than my shoulders at the time.Because I didn’t want to cause a big fuss and I was happy with the result I paid the amount.A few weeks later I received a call from Salon L with the request to schedule a new maintenance appointment. I explained to the lady on the phone that it was simply too much and that I can not spend 250-300$ on hair every 6 weeks (without tip!!!)She then informed me that it wouldn’t be that much and when I pointed out that I repeatedly paid the same amount for less treatment she told me that I was charged on my second visit with the same treatment as I did the first time. I then explained to her that the second time I did not receive a haircut or extravagant mask. Just some more highlights to freshen up the color.She apologized for the mistake on their end and asked if i wanted to proceed with the appointment. I told her that I was not happy about losing that much money and when she told me: sorry, nothing I can do about it now.I knew I was never going back to that money ripping off place!

Hands down best hair salon in the Philly area! Ive been going to Salon L (formerly LEtoile) for about five years now and they never disappoint. I go regularly for a cut with Jackie and shes always so fun, nice and does an amazing job. Ive also had balayage and glazes as well as my eyebrows done and the occasional facial. Everything is nothing short of amazing. The management is so friendly and efficient, Ive never had to wait long to be seen and they always work with my schedule to get me an appointment that works for me.

I come to Salon L to see Lauren S. for cut and color, and I can’t say enough good things about them both. Lauren is seriously a godsend - she gives me the blonde supermodel hair of my dreams!!!Lauren has been my stylist for about two years now, and I absolutely love her. I was in a serious hairdresser rut before I found her - suffering with streaky, fake-looking blonde highlights (which was exactly what I DIDN’T want) and feeling so discouraged. I have a pretty tall order when it comes to my hair color, and couldn’t find a stylist who knew how to achieve the look I wanted. My natural hair color is an ashy light brown these days, but I was blonde until about age 18, and strive for that “my hair gets blonde in the sun” look. I also like my hair to be a little “lived in” when I leave the salon, with some darkness at the root, so the roots will blend in as my hair grows out. Blonde highlights from root to tip on a brown base just ain’t it, ya kno?Honestly I don’t know exactly what process Lauren uses to color my hair; it’s some combination of balayage / partial highlight / shadow root / base bump. We always talk about end goal and I always show inspiration pictures at the beginning of the appointment. The finished result with Lauren is always warm and bright, beautifully blended, and lasts me 3-4 months (!!!)Lauren is so sweet and genuine, I enjoy our conversations almost as much as the final result. I now happily drive 45 minutes to see her :) Lauren thanks for listening to me ramble on about not knowing what I want but somehow getting it right always. Recommend 100%

Everyone was really nice and took the time to ask about my hair type! My only piece of advice is make sure you confirm with the stylist BEFORE she starts that she can do what youre asking for. After clearly expressing what I wanted before the process began, my stylist waited until I was unhappy at the end and I asked what happened to tell me that she didnt plan on doing what I asked for, claiming that it wasnt attainable and that I couldnt get it fixed/adjusted that day. It was very expensive and friends couldnt even tell that I got anything changed. Plus, unlike a lot of other salons, they dont have a free touch up policy for unsatisfied customers. Im sure with a better line of communication with your stylist, you could have a much better experience!

Went in for a color and a style/blowdry. While Jeffrey was very nice and helpful, it cost $140 for a semi-permanent TONER and a blow-dry. While what I left with looked nice, Im used to paying the same amount for a color, cut, and blow-dry. I will not return.

Luanna did my highlights and she did a terrific job and was so sweet. Definitely a great experience and the salon is lovely.

Elisa does the most incredible balayage! Went in a couple months ago with an old demi that she transformed to a honey blonde balayage. Came back for a second time to lighten up for summer and Im so pleased!!

Amber is amazing! This was my second time going after my last stylist had moved out of the area. After trying a couple other places I’m sticking with Amber at salon L!

Just moved to manayunk and decided to give this place a try. I was excited because it looked nice and had great comments online. Everybody was very nice and we loved the tall Great Dane dog one of the ladies got there. The environment was nice and fashionable. Our hair stylist was nice but not very professional. She was nice and gentle but she first of all, failed to recommend anything. We wanted someone to recommend a type of color and haircut but she just seemed to not really care. She just asked us what we want which is good but we kept telling her we wanted advice and recommendation. At the end, we just explained what we wanted, and the end result was really disappointing. First, we were going for color and haircut. We decided to add some highlights after talking with her but she didn’t tell us it was additional 30 dollars. The colors were 80 which the rep before had told us it was 55 but because it was all the way the price was 80. Well that’s fine but we would really appreciate it if we had knew everything at first esp adding the highlights was another 30 because it was like 2 strips of hair in the fromt only! In the end, I could barely see them like it was never done. The other reason why I really rated 3 stars was because she rushed us at the end!! I was never rushed before at any hair salon. She was more worried about her other client waiting which was fine but since you took us, you have to finish with us first! It’s not our fault that your client is waiting for you. We paid 160 for all this. The hair looked horrific in the end. We hated it. Never had we been this disappointed and frustrated after getting hair done. It should be relaxing and exciting to visit the hair salon. We paid 160 and tipped her 20. So in total we spent 180 for an ugly hair color, barely noticeable let alone pretty highlights, and the worst haircut ever. Lauren seemed to be a nice girl but she was not the most professional and honestly her skills are no match to the other hair stylists we’ve had in the past at other salons. This was like the best, top-rated one in manayunk so we had high expectations. Nice people and they have their own parking lot.

I worked in This five star salon And it was a BEAUTIFUL experience it is one of the best salons in Philadelphia.

Set an appointment with Mande for 7 pm this Thursday. The appointment was confirmed by the salon via text message at 5 pm the day of. At 6 pm I received a phone call cancelling my appointment. Their hours for Friday are only until 5pm and I wouldnt be able to make it there in time after leaving work. Im now left to scramble to find an appointment before a wedding Saturday morning. No attempt was made to rectify the situation or keep my business. The lack of professionalism and customer service was appalling.Not only did Mande lose my business for herself, shes also lost my business for my previous stylist as well. I only took an appointment with Mande because my previous stylist was unavailable.Id give zero stars if I could and would highly recommend any other salon in Manayunk.
