This is a great building with amazing architecture and history. You should buy here if youre looking for an affordable, safe, quality space in Philadelphia. The staff takes pride in keeping the peace and filtering out nonsense. Definitely a diamond in the ruff!

Spent less than a few hours with these folks and had just the worst experience. None of the staff were helpful, kind, or polite. It seemed like the management and concierge were just there. They werent friendly and in fact were almost immediately rude. Ive been staying at hotels and dealing with apartments and apartment managers all my life, in professional and personal settings and its impossible to describe the level of unprofessional behavior i was subjected to - it would require video.Talking over me while Im trying to explain my dissatisfaction with the service, yelling at potential clients in the presence of other clients, directly telling me that my opinion of the service doesnt matter because they feel adequately secure in their jobs, regardless of their behavior: just absurd, unjustifiable behavior from folks who claim to be working in the hospitality industry. Kids with jobs, and rude kids at that. It was like being at a fast food store populated by just the worst employees - people who just dont care.Without a change in management and staff I would never recommend that a friend, or family member of mine stay here. Hostile, unapologetic, unabashed disregard for anything that could possibly be called customer service. Not even Gordon Ramsay would waste a moment attempting to turn this place around. Its so bad it wouldnt even make for good television.

Called the Colonnade- these condos have the most striking common area lobby in the city. The condos range in size from 316 sq. ft. to 908 sq. ft. and are generally of the studio and one bedroom variety, though a few two bedrooms are in the condo building. Recent sale prices have ranged from $70,000 to $140,000. We will see about a dozen units a year sell in the building- so turnover or churn is not heavy at 1601 Spring Garden St. I think the units represent a strong value for those needing a small place to call home in Center City and I think the area is seeing some wonderful growth and development recently which is great. Good values, nice building, and reasonable condo fees can make a purchase at The Colonnade 1601 Spring Garden a smart purchase.
