My physician sent a referral in to you on 6/25 citing severe spinal stenosis on the right aspect of my cervical spine. I received a phone call a couple days later asking many questions and then was informed a Doctor would review and schedule a consult. I called two weeks ago to check on the referral without success. On July 22 I had my physician call to check on the referral. They were told that the delay was due to Unity Point Pekin not providing images. Today, I called and was again told the same story after being on hold for more than 20 minutes. I called Unity Point imaging and while I was talking to them they sent the images and the report. This leads me to believe that you did not request them and because of that I have an unnecessary delay in treatment which may have led to the headaches I am experiencing daily now. I am very displeased with this practice and I will be posting this failure to provide timely patient care.SincerelySent from the all new AOL app for Android

I agree with the rest, since they moved to Pennsylvania Ave its went down hill, my problem started 6 wks ago, finally got an appointment, my problem was the first time I called I explained that I had a half numb leg, with pain and couldnt put any wait on it unless wanted to fall, still took 6 weeks to see a doctor, but once I seen Dr Todd McCaw I felt a bit better, brilliant man, but Lisa M acts like your an inconvenience . IVE been off work since March 28, my boss says if Im not back to work by June 4, il be fire and lose my health insurance, lisa mullet wont take me off on short-term disability says my primary dr does that, my primary says he cant because hes not the one treating me for the problem, makes sense. But being i have polio on the left side, and nerve injury on the right side a construction worker who cant stand or walk should just lose his 30 year job and health insurance than not be able to do anything about it, guess I just sit half paralyzed for the rest of my lifeUpdate, here we are 4 months still cant walk leg half numb, and yes I lost my job, insurance, and they say someone will call, Ive been told you dont want sit to long like this could end up permanently disabled, I better not. WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR SAYS I DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, AND I DONT CARE. SO GO BACK TO YOUR PRIMARY

Went to spin class last week and I explained the situation of having issue with the insurance company cancelling rides or not even showing up take me. The social worker told me to get ahold of them if I had a issue. I can make all the reservations that I want but I dont know if they are going to call the night before or just dont show up. Well they didnt show up for me to get to my appointment so I have clearance for 2 disc removal and replacement with titanium disc and to do a spin fusion. I called. TRAVIS E TOWNE TO GET 1 RIDE FOR 1 appointment in Galesburg next Friday morning to be cleaned for surgery I cant rely on the insurance company. I feel its a disrespectful towards me because I cant afford car. I left the class thinking that I could rely on the social worker to help find me a ride. If you can help me out so I can still get to my appointment and put me back on the schedule for the surgery. Tell Travis not to lie anymore. I said to them he handed me a card and said to get ahold of them and he would help and said that he was going to be gone next Friday so I would have to get a ride. I CAN MAKE RESERVATIONS ALL DAY LONG AND STILL NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE GOING TO FOLLOW THROUGH I ASKED FOR 1 RIDE. I left spine class nervous as all get out because of them telling me about the pain that I was going to be in and I have been a nervous wreck. I told the nurse to cancel my surgery due to not knowing about if the insurance company would fall through again. The nurse got ahold of Travis and he said I would have better luck going through Etna PLEASE HELP I cancelled my surgery because of what Travis be said. I would appreciate to be put back on the schedule if you can t me a rid. Please helpe

First let me say I should have listened to all the reviews before booking my appointment. I seen Dr. Snyder February 2 and let me say she should’ve retired at the turn of the century she is so old and seem to not give any concern of my pain. Diagnosed me with mild scoliosis but continue to tell me I’m not in pain and I shouldn’t worry about pain or my future. Do yourself a favor stay away from this place

I have never had a worse experience from a hospital/doctors office. The main desk was rude and made me feel like an inconvenience. Everytime I called I could never speak to an actual doctor. Even going in, they were rude and unhelpful. I will never use this provider again.

Dr. H is so wonderful. I had about given up trying to figure out what was wrong with my vision. Not only did she figure it out but helped me get my vision back as much as I could and has closely worked with me for over 2 years now to make sure I don’t relapse. Dr. Lin was a wonderful surgeon that eased my nerves and did a perfect job on my vp shunt.

So frustrating!! They have switch me to different docs and NP without asking me. They cancelled my last appointment, I advised them I would need medication refilled before that appointment the lady said she would have them called in. Now here I am trying to refill my medication and they never called them in! I can never get ahold of anyone. I feel like when I’m there they rush trough my appointment and try to get me out the door. I do not feel like they care about the patients at all. The practice needs to be seriously looked at because they have a disconnect somewhere!

Wow, I just read the reviews and honestly not sure how I feel about my upcoming appointment! I am here JUST to review their correspondence, I have been on hold for 45 minutes.....and all I need is quick information about and EEG....I tried calling last week and gave up after 30 minutes. Please evaluate your facility, finding a neuro is already hard enough!

In general just not impressed. Gf is newly diagnosed with MS. Months to get appts. Referrals are a joke. Chewed her out for taking an over the counter med. When we left with official med list it said to take same otc med. No communication skills at all. Unfortunately, health insurance dictates your health care. Stuck with unsatisfactory care at OSF. Very dissatisfied with the whole ordeal. Seams like everyday is just a paycheck to them while my life is falling apart

It seems like nobody knows anything on scheduling patients surgery dates. and a surgery is a big deal. if you say you are scheduling a surgery appointment on a specific date do it. dont mess with peoples times changing it and not telling your patient. People have jobs that are hourly and a day off costs us money.

Trying to schedule an appointment is an absolute nightmare. When you call to speak with the scheduler you cannot, she has to call you back, you are not allowed to call her directly. I have asked over a dozen times for her to call me back after 4PM (when i get off of work) and she will always call at some other time like 10AM, not even close. I have been to the office 4 times and it takes weeks and about 6 calls just to schedule one appointment. There is only one person that does the scheduling and nobody else knows anything about the scheduling so if she is out then you have to wait until she gets back to attempt to make an appointment. The scheduling department is a joke, absolutely ridiculous. The Doctor has been fine but if I could rate the office a 0 i would.

I have suffered from debilitating headaches since I was 6 years old and Im 50. I have seen a few neurologists in my life. Im not very easy to deal with as a patient. I have had a lot of experience due to a very rare disease for the age I was. Im also a health care professional. So far the medicine has completely eliminated my headaches!!!! There are no words to express my gratitude!!! To Dr. Hirachya Nersesyan

Not impressed. The doctors we have worked with dont listen. They have no idea what brain disease does to the individual patient and the family. They are book smart but have no heart. They refuse to listen to caregivers and what the caregiver experiences day to day. The stock response is -- well I dont see that behavior. Really??? How much time do they spend with the sick person? 15-20 minutes every 3 months. They could help make a devastating disease better for everyone. They dont, wont, and dont care.

Absolutely the worst facility I have ever visited. The staff is rude. The doctors do not keep appointments nor do they return phone calls. I had two referrals to see a neurologist and a ear nose and throat doctor. The neurologist took a month to get mri results from. The ear doctor was two months out, called after I went to the appointment to reschedule for another month. That appointment has been canceled permanently due to staffing problems. I could have been diagnosed by now if my doctor had referred me to Methodist. I am glad these were not a matter of life and death. My physician now need not refer me to anyone at that hospital. The administration obviously doesnt care. What a joke.

2019 - OSF Illinois Neurological Institute is a newer facility located north of the sprawling OSF St. Francis Medical Center. It was built to consolidate OSFs Neurology practices. Having been a patient of INI (at another location in Peoria) for several years the doctors are fairly competent. The problem is the organization of the new facility. Ever since moving they have consolidated contacts/admission/scheduling for all the doctors through one office. I am not exaggerating when I say that it takes 20 to 30 minutes just to talk to an operator on the phone. Now, this is the operator I am talking about, not the doctors office itself. No kidding. In order to speak to a particular office they will take your information, verify that you are a current patient, then have someone call you back. If they call you back the same day you are lucky. In the old facility I could call and talk to someone immediately or within a few minutes. The new facility is terrible. This is not a temporary situation but something that has been going on for some time. When I complained about the poor service, I was told by the operator that they are constantly short staffed, over worked, and the system cannot keep up with the patient load. If you are lucky enough to get through or are a patient, make sure you get direct contact numbers (extensions) for your particular doctors office, staff, etc... If you dont youll be sorry because if you have to contact them for anything youll be waiting for a very long time. Why OSF has not corrected this obvious problem I dont know.2020 - Over a year since I left the previous review, the situation has not changed. I had the unpleasant task of having to call INI Peoria to leave a message for a nurse. I waiting in the phone queue for over 30 minutes just to speak with a phone operator. Nothing has changed.

Lets be honest here. Dr. Klopfenstein requests me to have a SECOND MRI, waits weeks and weeks to contact me for a consultation. He tells me, yes I see a problem with your lower back that can be fixed by surgery or perhaps an injection. However - since I wasnt in pain this particular day he tells me to call him and come back when Im in pain? He wants me to time my appointment so I see him when Im in pain when it took 2-3 weeks to even get a phone call for an appointment after my MRI. This facility is a joke, waste of money and would not recommend them at all. Maybe be he wants me to have my gf guide me in when I cant walk? I guess in their mind I randomly get MRIs because my back doesnt hurt? Unbelievable.

I was referred to this office and mustve been called like 100 times for early registration but wasnt able to register. The day came of my appointment, checked in they had me wait in the waiting room just so they can tell me the doctor was not in. Worst case I had to cancel my childs appointment so I could be seen. Its ridiculously unprofessional of their part not to notify the patient . Will never go back!!!Ill give them a 0!!!!!!

Not sure of who I am seeing they just keep referring to the dr. as Dr. Joe/Dr. Jo Im not even sure of how to spell this doctors name. I hate not knowing who Im going to be seeing. Not even sure if I NEED to see them u just know that I was referred here for Hip Pain/back pain and they told me some kind of impingement in my hip so I guess I will be clueless til I see them! Pretty sad that they constantly call about your appointment and then they call back to reschedule me for an appointment thats a couple weeks AFTER the initial appointment. I will give my conclusive rating when I actually see these people but til then they are getting a low rating.

I have seen Dr. Ergene for many years due to my Intractable Epilepsy. The seizures cannot be controlled by meds nor my VNS. Dr. Ergene and his nursing staff have been great with their care and working to at least allow me to have Quality of Life when not being bothered by seizures.I came from Iowa for years to see Dr. Ergene, but my insurance changed and would not permit me to travel out of State for care. My new Neurologist that I had to find locally, has now said that a doctor specializing in Epilepsy would be the best for me, so he is going to try to get a Prior Authorization approved for me to return to Dr. ErgeneFor me, Dr. Ergene and his nursing staff have been the best medical team I have had, and I hope everything goes through so that I might return.Rebecca Schroeder
