My family and I have been patients of Dr. Carballo for over 15 years. Weve also been seen by Dr. Navarro and both are excellent dentists. They take their time, let you know what you need and also what you dont need. Hilda is the best! She has been my one and only hygienist for the last 15 years as I will not have anyone else do my cleanings. The girls in the front, Mila, Arlene and Jackie, are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They have been there for years which says a lot about the practice as a whole.

I decided to try out this Dentist seeing as my wife went there are a kid. The office is clean and the staff is friendly enough. On the first visit the dentist did x-rays and a checkup. Right off the bat the dentist shows me some discolouration and tells me I need a root canal. Seeing as I wasnt in any pain I told them I would call when I wanted to schedule it. On the second visit they were going to do a deep cleaning. Ill come back to that. To start with the cleaning itself was about 20 mins. Thats far shorter than other cleanings Ive gotten. After the cleaning I could hear the dentist in the next room telling a patient that he needs a root canal also. Seems they hand that out like candy. At the end of the cleaning they charged me $154 for the cleaning even though I am allowed two free through my insurance yearly. Turns out because they worded the cleaning deep its not covered by the insurance. Mind you the cleaning was nothing different that others I have gotten. To top that off. I decided to go to my previous dentist since they are covered by my insurance. She also did x-rays. Turns out I DONT need a root canal.So not only did they charge me for a cleaning that should have been covered by the insurance, but they were trying to sell me on a $1200 root canal I didnt need.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had an appointment set up for today at 10:30am, I pull up to the office and no one is there, I call and the lady tells me they are not in office today and they called everyone to reschedule. I have not received ONE phone call from this office to reschedule or a voicemail. When i tell the lady this she goes “I’m sorry you didn’t get your message”. Like YOU DID NOT CALL ME TO BEGIN WITH! I drove 30 minutes from Dania beach and essentially wasted my time. Poor communication to say the least, I will never be back. This was a horrible experience.

I had an appointment. I have been going there over 10+ years . And the worst experience happened! The office stated there would be a charge of $400 dollars because they were not sure my insurance would pay! Mind you, it’s the Same insurance for years I have used and never had to pay that much in advance. So ridiculous! Time to change dentist!!

Dr. Carballo is the Best! He and his staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They care about their patients and are dedicated to educating us on good dental hygiene and oral health. They explain treatment plans and options thoroughly. He does quality work, advanced skills & techniques, state of the art equipment & technology. I was extremely pleased with my recent experience with Dr. Carballo and his staff. My daughter had to have 3 wisdom teeth extracted. She was in great pain and needed immediate attention. Dr. Carballo gave her an emergency appointment. He thoroughly explained the treatment options and plan and did a fantastic job with the procedure. The office is clean and comfortable and his staff was extremely courteous and professional. My family and I will definitely be going back to Dr. Carballo for our dental care needs!

Money hungry and rude. Ive been going here for 3 years and Im finally done. Their office is clean and the wait time is short (as long as they can squeeze you in within the next 2 months), which is why I did not leave sooner. However, their whole philosophy is trying to get as much money out of your wallet as possible while paying no attention to customer service. This seems to be the philosophy of a lot of big companies out there, but never thought it would make it to dentistry. We are so populated in South Florida that this type of treatment is tolerated. Specifically, this office refused to clean my teeth(which is covered under my insurance) because I couldnt afford to pay for other treatments that they recommended. They actually told me that they would not clean my teeth unless I gave them an extra $400 to do a procedure that I didnt want. This was the straw. Over the years, they forced me to pay for treatments that were unnecessary after talking to other dentists out there. Also, the people that answer the phones are rude if you dont agree to schedule treatments that cost extra money. I do not recommend getting involved with this devilish office unless you are extremely wealthy and/or ok with being treated like a number.

Great customer service!!I spent some time trying to pick a place and read through some scary and crazy reviews but I have to say your great online reviews got me to make the appointment. But it is the spectacular care of your entire staff that will have us coming back. From the moment you open the door, you were all just sweet and welcoming, kind and patient. I don’t think it was a unique experience because other patients that were there also seemed to have a great experience as well. There was also no waiting and you took us in promptly in at the appointment time.The staff was wonderful and the the doctor has a great sense of humor… Over all the experience surpassed our best expectations.I would definitely recommend to all my friends...

Dr. Carballo and the staff at Pines Dental Health Centers have transformed my mouth. They put me on a plan to get my teeth and gums healthy again. They carefully laid out a plan that included work on my teeth and gums, regular cleanings and finally Invisalign work. Im extremely satisfied with the results and highly recommend Dr. Carballo and the entire staff at Pines DHC.

This has to be one of the best dental facilities I have ever been too. Dr Navarro and her team are so compassionate, kind and sincere - they all went over and beyond to make me comfortable especially since I suffer from high anxiety. The front office staff are amazing, they follow up the next day after every procedure to make sure that you are okay. Thank you for you wonderful service.

I walked in as an emergency had to wait a bit but they fit me in. The girls in the front desk were very nice and attentive my my concerns. The assistant even checked my blood pressure something new for me. She then explained that its mandatory every time due to the anesthetic which made me wonder why the other dental office never do that since its a standard procedure. The dentist explained everything in steps and made my visit a breeze. They will be seeing me again!

I have been going to Dr Carballo and Hilda, the dental hygienist, for over 10 years. I cant say enough about their professionalism, compassion, and honesty. The entire staff goes above and beyond in treating every patient with respect, and appreciation. Furthermore, I cant remember a time where the wait time exceeded 1/2 an hour. Im usually in and out in less than 1 hour which is unheard of these days.

Dr. Carballo is the best dentist I have ever had! Maggie is the best hygienist I have ever had! Jackie and all of the office staff are phenomenal. They always get you in and are always very accommodating for the college kids when they come home for the holidays!

If youre terrified of dentists, then you should go to Dr. Carballo - he is one of the best! Hes friendly, empathic and very skilled. He and his wonderful staff take such good care of you - I cant recommend them highly enough. They also arent the kind of dental office where they open your mouth and see $$$$ signs! Finding a good doctor and dentist is the next most stressful thing once youve bought a home! ;-)

I referred a friend today and I was disappointed how Jackie handled the $30 credit. It was an emergency so my friend didnt have the card filled out.Now I have to go there and put her name on this refer a friend ! I drive past so many dentist offices to get to this place, but I will never go anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and Dr. Carballo is professional, yet laid back at the same time. He truly cares about his patients dental health and is quite the perfectionist when it comes to the quality of his work.

Initially I loved the office and Dr. Navarro( I still do).The entire office are professional however they overcharge you. I am aware that dental offices likes to overcharge people... Ive experienced it in the past and let the office staff and doctor know that. After reviewing my treatment plan and benefits of my health insurance, I kept telling the office they overcharged me and to please review with my insurance. Everytime I went, the cost was never the same although I was getting the same service. I asked the front staff(I will not name) how come the prices kept changing and she told their prices went up. I explain but my HMO dental insurance did not. She said she would have the office manager call me. The office manager never called me. I finally reached out to my dental insurance and ask for them to review the charges. GUESS WHAT? They overcharged me by over $1300. When they sent me the reimbursement, they also sent me a letter stating they would no longer service me because the lack of communication. Nope they will not service me because they overcharged me and was mad that I asked the insurance to review. Needless to say, I learned another valueable lesson. 1. Ask for a full breakdown of services... not the overall cost of each service(treament plan)2. Always consult with your dental insurance FIRST 3. Always leave a review about dental offices that overcharge :) If I could post pictures of the letter I would. Its actually funny. Im pretty sure they will post some BS about how sorry they are about my experience...but they arent. AND Dr. Navarro moved to her own practice so I was done with them before letter came.

I have heard so many amazing reviews about dental health center that I just had to go see for myself . As I walked in I instantly felt like I was in great hands starting with the front desk telling me much information about my wait time and about my appointment for my self and my children ! I have now been back a few times for checkups and cleaning and I have made dental health center my permanent dental office for me and my family.

I am thrilled to have been recommended by a good friend to Dr. Carballos office. I have been trying to find the right office for several years because I am one who hates having dental work done. I was impressed on my first visit and every time I have been back. Dr. Carballo is personable and makes you feel very comfortable. Dr. Carballo, the hygienist, the assistants, the front desk are all beautiful on the inside and out, very kind, gentle, helpful and pleasant. Its the office Ive been searching for for years.

I have a couple things Id like to commend about the Pembroke Pines Dental Health Center. First, the office staff is pretty fabulous. They know my name every time I walk in, they are extremely patient with me when I have a million questions, and they are just generally very kind and warm individuals. In fact, one time, I was late for an appointment by almost an hour (the fault was entirely mine as I miswrote the appt time), and instead of raking me over the coals, they were very pleasant and worked hard to still fit me in. For me, this kind of office staff is indispensable; I actually left a doctor in the past because his staff was unbelievably rude and dismissive. But you wont find that at this office. Rather, you definitely get the sense that they care about their patients.Secondly, the hygienists and Dr. Carballo are also very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and they genuinely seem interested in how I am doing, as an individual. Like his staff, Dr. Carballo has never minded answering a million questions about my dental health, or what that tool that looks like a miniature medieval torture device is used for (In retrospect, I may have slightly overreacted...it was just a pick/scaler.) More seriously though, I have actually been incredibly impressed by the integrity of the office. Long story short, Dr. Carballo probably saved me close to $1,000 after a reevaluation of a diagnosis, determining that the problem wasnt as serious as hed initially thought and opting instead for a much easier (and cheaper) solution. Of course, he could have just as easily upheld the first diagnosis and while I wouldnt have been any wiser, my wallet would have been far lighter. The fact that he didnt, I believe, speaks volumes about the kind of practice their team is running.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of service and care rendered by the professionals working at the Pembroke Pines Dental Health Center.

If you value your time and your money, dont go to this office. I got an emergency appointment at this office, and after two hours of waiting after my appointment time, i had to leave, because the doctor let me waiting for him more than 1 1/2 hours after he told me what my treatment was going to be. And the worst part is that they (docotor and personnel) didnt apologize or think they were doing something wrong. Shame on them

Total rip off! They scam you into paying for unnecessary dental work and try to scare you into it. Do your homework and follow up with your insurance. Shame on you!
