I personally haven’t been here for service in years, but I was there twice last week with two different family members. One day I sat in the ER with a family member suspected of having a stroke from 10 until 4:30. She was taken for scans and saw the doctor maybe three times in the hours I was there. Second time was with a family member who complained of breathing issues, saw a door twice from 1:30pm to 9:30pm. She was admitted and being discharged tomorrow with her non-medically trained family members expected to do IV antibiotic medicines while she has a broken leg and arm. I don’t have a problem with the nurses, they seem to care; doctors here seem not to care too much about the safety of their patients.

The Emergency room has gone down hill in the last couple of years. They used to be really wonderful, kind and helpful. Now they just stick you in a room for hours on end without even seeing a doctor or nurse. I went in yesterday for a snake bite and sat in a room for two hours without anyone even checking on me. The triage nurses are always very sweet though! The one I saw yesterday reassured me that the bite I have is nonvenomous/dry bite. That doesnt change the fact that it hurts like hell, and swollen beyond compare! I left with out seeing a doctor.

When my cousin asked the receptionist if there was any lysol spray she replyed no theydidnt have any , this is a hospital with sick people coming and going but no lysol. Later someone came to wipe the area down, then we were told that the person or people that do this during the week are all volunteers. Employees are seriously great but this hospital is so outdated with the whole surgery tracking codes thing. Put it on the website or on the TVs in the room so I can keep track of my loved ones surgery progress without having to go to a crowded waiting room, and gather around a crowded TV screen. Nobody wants to sit in one freakin place staring at a TV screen during a 2 hour surgery for their loved one nor do they want to risk catching the virus or anything else from the people in the waiting room and then bring back it to the same room my loved one is recovering in. Get with program, singing river!

My grandma was emergency rushed to the hospital because of a suspected seizure. At the end, they claimed that the twitching was from her old age (she turned 68 today). They discharged her the same day with the explanation that “old people just do that.” My mom called her doctor in Mobile and he knew something was wrong, so he had her admitted to Mobile Infirmary. After running multiple test over the last few days, they did an EEG and found out she was indeed having seizures and where they were. They’re starting her on the right medication to prevent them. They would’ve gone undetected if my grandma wasn’t admitted to Mobile Infirmary, Singing River do better!!

The doctor and nurses are nice and helpful so far but whoever answers the ER call button is very rude. I asked for coffee, she said let me check and hung up. I asked for blankets, she said ok And hung up. I had to ask a nurse for blankets after 30 minutes. I called to tell her the monitor is clicking on and off. She said ok and hung up. It’s not even busy here and you hear the nurses discussing patient symptoms in the hallway. The equipment is poor and barely working. I understand that everyone, especially healthcare workers are under a deal of stress at this time. However, take a breather and put your happy face on because you chose this profession! People are sick and the last thing they need is to be mistreated. I hope I can update this later!

My review is with the Singing River Health Care System billing department in Gautier, MS office and in particularly with Allison. First of all she is very rude and does not know how to do her job and perform as a professional. I have spoke to her several times about a bill I do not nor did I ever owe. I have ask to speak to her supervisor and she or he is always not available. My issue was with a bill I received and called her about to correct. She was so insistent that I owed this bill. I did not! I contacted Tricare and they provided me with documentation showing that I DO NOT OWE. I will contact the administrator and her boss to let them know the way she treats their patients! Someone needs to teach her how to do her job and to be professional. If you need assistance from this department, I suggest you ask to speak to anyone other than Allison!!!!! I also will bring to administration my 2 witnesses to back up my claims!

I’ve seen so many people’s reviews who were treated badly at the hospital, but I had a wonderful experience. From check in to check out, everybody was very friendly and nice.I had to go through the emergency room for my surgery and they pointed me to go up to the first floor. From there, Katie the front admin desk had asked me for my orders and I told her nobody gave it to me and it was suppose to be faxed over. She gave the obgyn clinic a call and ask for the paperwork. And she got it within 5 minutes after calling. After that, we went to the billing department which was in the same area as the waiting area. We got called in and paid for my portion after my insurance took care of 80% of the bill.We sat back down in the waiting room after finishing up the bill portion and a nice woman escorted us first to labs to get my blood samples and also a covid test was done. After all of that, the nice woman escorted us to the patient room where I got undressed and waiting for my IV to be inserted in to my arm.My husband got a card stating my name and number so he can follow along my progress during my surgery in the patient waiting room. The room was very clean, everything felt like they were wiped down, the toilet seat was also wiped down because there was a “sanitized” band on the toilet seat. The hospital gave me socks and a gown to wear during surgery. When I got my IV inserted in and took my antibiotic, there was a man who wheeled me in to the surgery room and that’s when Dr. Banahan did her thing and an hour later, I woke up in the recovery room.I was the only patient in the recovery room so the two nurses that were there, took tremendous care of me.One of the nurses woke me up and I screamed because I forgot where I was due to the strong anesthesia. We laughed it off after I was fully somewhat conscious. I also had to go pee and when they pulled up a portable potty I attempted to stand up on my own but I fell down pretty hard and the two nurses came and picked me up and comforted me because I was shaking too.Overall. The hospital staff was amazing, my doctor was amazing, everything in the facility felt very clean and everyone followed covid protocol. I highly recommend coming to this hospital and giving a chance here because I had a great experience with this place. Thank you Amanda and Lynn from the recovery room. You guys rock!

Pam was my sisters nurse today in the ER. I have never and I do mean never been spoken to so rudely by a nurse in my entire life. Her words were, I am wondering how long the family is gonna let her suffer. She was out of her place. There is a way to discuss a DNR status; if thst is what she felt was best. She was wrong on so many levels. She asked how long had it been since my sister walked. Then she even asked me if I could walk. Who does this? She said she was an advocate. For what though. This was the message i had to send regarding this hospital!! I wish that i could put no stars!!!I would like to report the unprofessional manner of the staff at the Singing River hospital in labor and delivery afterbirth. My sister M****** T******* was admitted on July, 7 2017 at 5 am in the morning. Her delivery went well, but the after stay she had a lot of problems. Honestly, If i wouldnt have witnessed it myself i wouldnt have believed it. There was so much rudeness and disrespect and just plain disregard for her pain, the sensitivity of her situation. Due to the fact that she was giving the baby up for adoption to me H****** T*******, her sister. I asked Cindy one of her charge nurses if she could do something about it she assured me that she would. It never was resolved. I really dont appreciate it. The names of the people who were supposed to be caring for but really wasnt unless we called about 10 times for it were Diane, Darlene, and Chelsea . I could not believe that this is how they treat people and i needed to bring this to your attention because that was a very sensitive time for and she was scared to even stay there by herself because they would get mad whenever she asked for something at night. She was in a lot of pain and was very poorly treated!

You my wonder why the many negative reviews. I have heard, privately some negative things about the hospital. My wife used to work there, but had to quit due to her health issues. She knew what was going on, both positive and negative, but of course no one wants to hear anything negative. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was admitted to their cancer center. I went there every day for 39 weeks for radiation treatment. Dr. Greenfield explained in detail the procedure and was very caring. During the treatments, I saw him every 5th treatment and he always spent enough time with me so I could tell him my problems I had, if any. He always gave me his full attention and addressed any concerns I had. The three technicians who administered the radiation treatments were all friendly and professional. All the personnel from admissions to medical staff were all kind, considerate and professional. Although the cancer center is part of the Singing River hospital system, I can give them a top rating. I can speak of the cancer center, but not for the hospital. I usually go to the Ocean Springs hospital, so you can read my review of that facility there.

Her attitude, the way she rolled her eyes and her awful customer service skills really showed the true atmosphere of that pharmacy. It used to not be like this before she started. The Hurley clinic had put him on antibiotics a few days before that but they apparently werent working. After a catheter insertion which yielded little results, they put an IV of fluids. The doctor on call said he could go home as soon as the bag was done because he had NO INFECTION AND DID NOT NEED AN ANTIBIOTIC, and in fact stop the antibiotic he was put on. They did not even check his output first until I insisted, and it was poor. We went home very dissatisfied. Husband continued antibiotics anyway and took cranberry and probiotics. A different visit I was harassed by the Hospitals Security & held security certification for a different state/country at time & had the flu & could barely speak & their Hospital Security insisted I give him by DL to verify who I was just as soon as I walked out of ER & I had to call the OSPD, who just gave it to him. There was no reason to stop me; much less harass me & he just wanted to write my identifying info in his lil black book to use me & that isnt acceptable. Furthermore, OS in general needs major improvements. Take my word for it!!! The ER doctor who refused me medical during one emergency...sadly a person w/ the same name suffered death & was murdered. It happened to hit an Ingalls employee of whom I have workers comp cases against, instead of the ER Doctor who is refusing emergency care. She was a very pleasant young lady. Took my vitals, yet did not interfear with my dozing on and off. She made me extremely happy when at 4: 30am asked if I needed anything, I asked for a cup of coffee and she took it upon her self to make a pot at the nurses lounge and bring me a cup. I just spent 18 days in SRHS (Pascagoula) , 4 days medical then moved to Skilled Nursing Facility for rehabilitation. My nurses were very nice and helpful, except one nurse was very rude. Dont expect any help during shift change. Nurses are too busy doing reports and exchanging gossip. If your gonna have heart attack, wait until 8 oclock. SRHS bought beds that continuously moved which was supposed to prevent bed sores. My bed moved and made noises which made it hard to sleep,. On June 30 they moved me to Skilled Nursing Facility on 1st floor. The staff was extremely courteous and anxious to help. The physical therapist were great. Special thanks to Lee, Ashton, Ryan and Jennifer. The food was great and a good variety on the menu. I had the bed from hell. It was very old and made weird loud noises. I had to unplug it in order to sleep. When the air leaked out the middle of the bed sunk down to the metal. I had to stay close to the edge of the bed where there was cushion. Everyone that saw it said that I needed a better bed. Three days before my dicharge they brought a brand new bed that didnt have the moving, it was just a bed and I got the best sleep for two nights.. The nurses aides were exemely nice and helpful. Housekeeping shouldnt clean at 5 am. My room was very nice and when my niece came and stayed with me, they offered her a cot or recliner. Overall, I cant complain, they fixed me. I needed a Urologist and a Neurologist, but I only have Medicare, so neither showed up. Im a disabled Vietnam Vet so Ill go to VA and get on the list to see the specialist. They are neglecting the fact that they are doctors. They are neglecting the health of the patients. Patients of Dr Millette are being told to go get rediagnosed with MS. They are being told they do not have MS when they do. There is no cure for MS so they definitely still have MS.I cannot see how is Hospital administrators that fired him can sleep at night.
