Some staff work and some staff just takes their time. They are turtles when a patient pushes the nurse call button. They leave you for dead. They experiment 🥼 on the patient. I think I have more experience than some of the staff. I only saw mess cleaned properly and right after changing bandages twice. I asked questions, they look at you like you crazy. Im uncomfortable visiting so I know the patient is nervous and Im trying hard not to let them notice my disappointed 😞☹️

I have been in the hospital about 6 weeks, I have had extremely good care and no problems. Very experienced professionals always on top of everything and comes when I need them. I would recommend them to anyone and I would definitely come back if I needed to.

This is my second time at Select north and they have given me very good care. They done me good. Physical therapy gets me working out and walking in the hallway everyday, nursing has been okay and I am happy with the food since my diet was changed. The staff here really encourage you they want you to get well

My loved one came was admitted to this facility and their health went downhill from there! I have no reason to make any of this up and I just want anyone reading this to take these complaints seriously and pay attention and stay alert. Just dont throw your loved one into their care and walk away and wait for calls with updates! STAY INVOLVED! My loved one was trying to whisper and tell us what was going on through the window and phone to have it dismissed by staff when approaching them about it. 1.The phones in the rooms hardly ever worked and I was told they were broke and waiting to be fixed My loved one had a simple cell phone that staff would not keep charged AND chargers kept disappearing. 2.Money went missing. We thought it was maybe medication making her say this, but they did NOT come out of this facility having the money they had going in. She was right. 3. False teeth went missing and they acted like it was no big deal. 4.My loved one was agitated. Try being in one of these place during COVID, we all would be. My strong feeling was my loved one was medicated so they could avoid dealing with. And once the medication started, they were not the same, A happy laughing strong elderly, began the path of a chin to chest. 5. Not a strong communication with care regarding what medicines were given. MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM TO GIVE YOUR LOVED ONE NOTHING UNTIL THEY DISCUSS IT WITH YOU FIRST!

I arrived Select North and was greeted by very professional nurses. My stay of three weeks was perfect. My wound is fantastic. The nursing staff incredible. The doctors , therapists work so hard on my recovery. Thank you JP. And the best CNA TO CHARLENE. Go to Select Orlando.

These girls around here are as sweet as can be, they will do anything in the world for you. They will stop in the hallway and say hello to you, come and check on. I am getting a lot of help to get better, I can walk with my leg on a few steps they got me back on my feet, can’t wait to get home for Christmas.

The people here have been very very sweet and good to me. The food has been nutritious, delicious and healthy. The therapists have worked on lifting my spirits they gave me the boost I needed to get me on the road to recovery. Just what I needed!

Marie CNA was very attentive and always ready Most of the nurses were great. Chantel, Shiree(?), Shayna, Darryl, Michelle, Eileen, I know I forgot a few. The others would ignore or walk away if you ask for something.One night (the rooms are kept very cold and you are only given a sheet) I moved around in my sleep only to wake up to see i was halfway off the bed exposed and all my cords tangled around me so I couldnt move. 2 nurses came to change my roommates sheets (they change them at 4am) both walked passed me several times and just shook their head. I had no voice because of a tracheotomy. It wasnt until a day shift nurse came in and rushed to help me.Also they want you to use the call button if you need a nurse but you cant talk so you get no response since you didnt verbally ask for anything. The drs just pass through. I had no idea what even happened to me until my friends and family told me. I was drugged up pretty much the first week or so. If you try to move a cord or line out of your view they will restrain you and tie you to the bed. So many things were delayed until tomorrow always something.*note: i had to change my review because the first day they had someone looking over my shoulder?

I recently traveled to Orlando to participate in an in-servicing event at this Select facility. Every member of the staff greeted me in passing or offered to help me if I were lost. Patient calls for assistance were answered promptly. The facility was kept very clean. The Director of Nursing does an amazing job. It was truly a pleasure to meet both the DON and the CEO. Overwhelmingly, I was most impressed to discover that every patient smiled and genuinely enjoyed interacting with each facility team member. After over twenty years and extensive travel, I have learned that the great facilities and the staff that make the facility great are a rare find. It was a privilege.

I was very sick when I first came to Select with many wounds. The people here have been wonderful especially the wound care nurses and physical therapy

God sent me to Select Specialty hospital , he knew it was the right place for me. I am blessed this is where the lord sent me and it where my healing began. The nurses, the assistants, therapists have so much compassion.

The staff are very compassionate, polite and kind. They attend to your needs immediately. The Rehab team are very professional and adept in their skill sets, they insure the patients comfort when engaging in activity and walking. I have made excellent progress and am going home soon.

I have been in here since July 1 2020 and the nurses and the doctors even the food delivery peoples have been outstanding victor even helps me with my menu and help sit up my tray the only problem I have is when I call they ask can I help and because I can’t speak they say they going to send someone and it takes me to texting my husband to call before someone shows up and when they come still very helpful a very clean place if would recommend this place to anyone who have any family who need to be in a rehab facilities great place great food great staff the only thing I would like for a family member be aloud to spend to come and visit at least 1a day.

I can not say anything bad about this facility. My mother came here on 1-21-20. ALL the nurses, Nursing assistants, Therapists and the staff have gone above the ordinary. We have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend this care facility to anyone that needs help.

Got alot better with my stay here also had wonderfull physical therapy tech aho pushed me to do the best that I could beds are awesome noe bed sores sleeping in these beds cant wait to be able to get out from all the help here on the 17th

It’s a very nice clean facility., the staff is nice. If you have respiratory problems or a trach they can help you. I came with one and now it’s been removed.

Leaving the big hospital, we were introduced to Select Specialty hospital. I read the brochure from cover to cover to make sure that would be a fit for my Mother.For the first couple of weeks it was rough for me and my mother to experience none care. I am that family member, who has put her life on hold to make sure my mother gets the very best care that she deserves. I have spent 10 to 12 hours at a time to make sure, lets be clear I am watching the staff with ALL the patients. I wanted to make sure that they were not only being kind to my mother because I am here.Because of soft complaints, I believe this hospital has gone from 95% to 99.95, there is always room for improvement. You cant teach Kindness, you can only teach a skill, I suggest look for gentle and kindness. if it is lacking, say something in a gentle tone, where things can be changed. I now give this facility 5 stars with honesty and with a smile.

My experience with this hospital it’s worse than what I taught. Can’t wait for my dad to get out of this hospital. Too bad there is No zero ⭐️

Its been pleasant, people have been nice and theyve met all my needs. Its been better here than at the other hospitals, even the food tastes pretty good. Staff are cheerful and make you feel better, they motivate you go get well. People acting like they care, that goes a long way when you are sick. Management will come and ask you how you are doing, they all try to help you and show that they care. Im blessed to be here.

The entire staff is outstanding, they go above and beyond to help the patient. The only thing that can be improved is the food because you get the same choices for every meal. Thanks for all you have done for me, I am now able to walk, talk and eat with help and I am weaning off the oxygen. The rehab staff is very encouraging. The staff at the hospital saved my life and Select is helping me rebuild.

Staff has been very good. They go out of their way to help me. They try very hard to please me, they care and are conscientious about taking care of their patients.

Because of the event of having a heart attack, I was thrust into a position of being at Florida Hospital all of which was a new experience for me. The last time I was in the hospital my wife was there for me but she has since passed away, my friend Jimmy has been a tremendous help to me in order to be here at the hospital and still take care of things at home. I didnt exactly understand what was going on but with the help of all the nurses and aides it has turned out to be a very pleasant stay. The staff at Select specialty hospital did an excellent job in helping me get through it all.

I found all the staff very caring. My mom was critically ill but the care she was given was nothing but outstanding. If you have a loved one who needs acute long term care this is the place for you. Its a step down from ICU, but pretty close. When my Mom was in the ICU and we had to choose a skilled nursing facility, we asked the ICU nurses who they would recommend and they said this place is the best for critically ill patients and this is where they would put a family member if they had to

Today is the first day Ive stepped in to this facility. Im not impressed. You can immediately tell the staff here couldnt get jobs at real hospitals. Gum clicking, arguing over lunch and I immediately find out my sister has been waiting almost an hour to get cleaned up from the bed pan.The facility is old and cosmetically there are patches, scrapes and dingy walls.The call from the nurse before I arrived seemed genuine and caring but I have not seen her yet. I will be checking into other facilities that are more modern with fewer negative reviews. Our goal is to get her home, not to waste away in a place like this.I will update this review as I go thru this process. I hope it gets better but....for now...not impressed at all.

Service was beautiful, they ave a lot of rules but they are there to keep you safe

My experience here at Select was good and bad. Most of the nurses and assistants were very good, sometimes it took longer than I would have liked to get help. Sometimes the staff stated that they did not hear the call overhead. It would be really nice to be able to have the same nurse for several days so they would get to know the patients better.

I was coughing so much and thought I was going to fall apart, at Select the helped me get well, got me walking and moving around. This is a good place with good people

They can help you especially if you have a trach or breathing problem, rehab staff are very good too

All the doctors and staff have been great, I would recommend this hospital to anyone that needs it. The nurses have been very caring and the therapy crew got me motivated and walking down the hallways. I was so glad to get my legs working again. I have made excellent progress here. The real treat was when they took me outside to the park next door since I had been in hospitals for 7 months and never been able to go outdoors. I was particularly pleased with the cleanliness both of my room and the hospital in general.

This place is in my opinion is below standard. Good luck getting a nurse for any attention. Had a nurse make a snide remark to other nurses about my wife. Case manager showed up for 5 minutes and was told she would return and that was 2 days ago. Looking to move my wife to better facility.

I enjoyed the staff very much, they have been very attentive and kind. They come in my room with a smile and they make me feel like its all about me. My room had a beautiful view of a large oak tree which I enjoyed very much.

They have treated me with respect and tried to take my desires and wishes into account. Most importantly they have taken very good care of my wounds. The nurse supervisors have checked in on me to see if I needed anything. I feel like I have staff members who care and if I have any problems I can let someone know.

I will miss the staff here. The nurses were very good and staff responded to my needs. I was able to get on my feet with the help of the rehab team.

The care given here was above any I have received at all 5 hospitals i have been a patient at.To say that the Doctors, nurses and especially the Physical Therapists gave kind, considerate and profession care is an understatement.I highly recommend this facility for any acute care (long term) situation.

Very competent nursing care! The respiratory and rehab therapists are very good. Overall I have received good care.

The nursing staff, doctors and rehab staff have taken really good care of me. They have been encouraging me, I was freaking out and they come and talk to me, they have been especially kind. A special shout out to Tracey in rehab, nurse Eileen and nurse Bathsheba.

Respiratory therapy does awesome job

The staff are very friendly in making you feel comfortable. Management and doctors are very informative and will answer any questions about your care. Therapy staff are very encouraging and patient while you learn new skills. Just seems like a happy place to work from a patients perspective.

Overall, I had a very positive experience. I was especially pleased with the communication between the physicians and the nursing staff. The physical therapy team gets high marks!

Please read this before considering taking yourself or a family member to this hospital. I dont want anyone else to go through what we are going throughNow they want me to write a nicer review?! That’s rich!! I’ll write a nicer one when this whole establishment burns to the ground.The nurses don’t care if any patients are slowly dying, or needing any kind of treatment. The WHOLE staff should be fired never work in a medical field again. I hope everyone sees this review and really THINK about taking your family members (or yourself) to a different hospital. Because this place will do nothing for you, besides allowing nurses to let patients lay in urine and feces for hours on end and then get told “you are not the only patient in this hospital” nobody should ever be told that!! You should make them feel like they are the only patient in the hospital.If you want your family members to be taken care of and treated properly, please consider a different hospital to go to. These people have let my mother in law sit in her own urine and feces for over 3 hours. It took me calling and complaining to get someone in there to clean her up.She gets told everyday that she is not the only patient there. Im sorry but this hospital is very small compared to all other hospitals in the area and in my hometown. If you cant handle this small amount of patients I can see why you dont work in a bigger hospital. They treat people like garbage here, they dont care about anyone as long as they are getting paid.This hospital and everyone in it will be getting sued very soon. I am not putting up with it.

When I came to Select it was nice that the doctors were from the same group as I had at Florida Hospital so they could communicate about my treatments.

My mom just recently passed away here..... This so called hospital is a joke. Different people telling you different things. Contradicting each other. I blame this place for my mothers passing. Very unprofessional, dirty, and very rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My mother was at this place. She was poorly cared for and had several health issues from it.When i fought to get her the care she deserved. The administration had me tresspassed from the property. And the Orlando police didnt care about me trying to get her help. My mothers care got worse because of this place.Please listen to me and keep your loved ones away from here.

The care has been better than most places Ive been in the past five months as I have been recovering from my infection. Most of the staff have been really kind and helpful.

The hospital provided excellent care and the staff were very responsive to our needs. The pharmacist was very helpful in explaining the medications and the doctors were good about answering any questions.

Staff has been good, they keep a close watch over the patients, you will get good attention here.

The staff at Select have treated me with exceptional care.

This place is a joke. My father had horrible care here. The place is a disgusting smelly mess. Poor nurses are so over whelmed with to many patients, or rooms way to far apart. If you care for your loved ones DONT put them here. They did nothing to help my father.. Sure took his insurance money though.

Everybody has a smile, they cheered me up, made me feel happy. I thank God for this place.

They took good care of me here even though I was frustrated at times because I was not strong enough to eat for some time, they explained everything to me and listened to me. They got the breathin tube out of my mouth so I can talk.

The staff are kind and caring. They worked with me and I am going to be going home soon.

My spouse was at Select and I dont know any other way to thank the most wonderful CNAs that helped my husband and showed compassion. Those two CNAs not only showed compassion but they showed that they love what they do. If it wasnt for Andre and Lauren I wouldnt give this place a winning star. False advertisement. Not a long term acute care facility!! Only monthly as told to me by the admissions tam and the liason at ORMC change your name and terms so you dont peoples hopes up of actual care

This place is horrible. They staff is inattentive and management makes continual excuses for poor quality care. I wouldnt recommend this place to take care of my dead cat.

All the nurses have been excellent.

This place sucks no doctors to be found the patient just lie in bed and slowly die but they do take the insurance money we are check with a lawyer that might shake them up we call and ask to talk to the doctor but get no were with that now the health department is stepping in to see what is going on

Staff is fantastic , they work very hard and sometimes they are overwhelmed but they try to do whatever they possibly can for you.

I arrived at Select after spending 32 days in a coma, my recovery started at Select, I consider it a miracle that I have a full recovery.
