Please do not go here! I booked an appointment with Psychiatric Group of Orlando because my therapist insisted I start taking medication. My first appointment the doctor was hijacked by some other physician who spent 45 min talking about the holy spirit and Helen Keller? I didn’t mind too much so long as it meant I’d start the process of finding the right medicine. I had them send my first prescription to my pharmacy but it was far too expensive so I asked if they could send a generic/ cheaper version. I called a total of 6 times in the past two weeks trying to reach my doctor to have him send the cheaper prescription but the office staff has consistently been rude and unhelpful. After all this time they ended up prescribing me medicine that I have tried before and explicitly said I did not like in my appointment. As someone who is extremely effected by these interactions, I had to write a review because it’s frustrating to pay SO MUCH MONEY just to get a lesson in scripture, cut off, transferred, and ignored when making really polite and simple requests. People who are suffering from mental illnesses shouldn’t have to call for two weeks trying to sort out their prescription. It is irresponsible and dangerous. It just hurts my heart to be treated so disrespectfully when I just desperately want help. If you are thinking of going here, try to look into other options.

The doctors are great dont get me wrong, but I always have issues getting my meds and the office staff is some of the most rude people Ive had to deal with. They literally do not give two $#1ts. Worst Experience ever beginning with the Front office staff ,(Christy) should be fired the way she handles any situation very Rude and Unprofessional she basically said thats not her problem and if you dont like it you can go else where, all the way to Upper Management including the Supervisors who are never there to rectify any problems. The Lack of Professionalism they show to there patients are Horrible. This explains why they have a low rating on Google Unfortunately i had to choose a star in order to post this it should be zero. They should be Non-Existent and should be shut down the way they handle Patient care. Never again will we even consider going back there let alone recommending anyone to there practice. They will be shut down and i will make sure this gets reported to Higher Authorities and The Better Business Bureau.

I dont really trust this place. seems like they throw medication at you instead of listening to what you have to say. Scheduling an appointment is always a hassle. There have been multiple times that they have tried to reschedule at the last minute which is not really helpful when youre running out of medication. This is the first google review I have ever written because I truly believe that this place doesnt really care about their patients. dont waste your time seriously. Im tired. The only reason that Im here is because my old therapist (who also didnt really listen to me) referred me here. I dont know why, maybe they have some sort of business deal. All in all, go somewhere else to save time and if you actually want help.

Ive been seeing Brianna for a number of years now and truly love my experience with her. Best therapist Ive ever seen (and Ive seen a lot lol). I also see Dr. Meloukheia for meds. She was the first Psych to ever even have me do a blood panel. I feel listened to her and like she takes my thoughts into account when changing meds. I highly recommend this practice, though I took one star off because it can sometimes be a bit difficult to get in touch with the front office for scheduling and Ive had psych appointments rescheduled multiple times, pushing the initial date out over a month.

I have been a patient with Dr. Meloukheia since 2013. She is by far the best psychiatrist I have seen, and she has helped me live a far better life. She always touches on my personal life (never prying), asks how its affecting me, and reminds me to exercise, eat right, and sleep well. She understands medication alone isnt a solution, which is a great sign for any psychiatrist!I understand a lot of people leaving bad reviews are upset about the office or insurance issues. I encourage you to look at healthgrades for any doctor, rather than google reviews. In all my years here I have only had one issue with an office worker. The doctors are really spectacular!

I personally have had a great experience with this practice. Brianna Brown is amazing. Her and her staff are polite and very helpful.I reached out initially in July 2020 as a new patient and was informed there was a wait. With COVID in its prime at the time, I expected a wait. I knew Brianna was the specialist I wanted to work with and I was in no rush to be set up with her. I was on a waitlist until November. As soon as I became an established patient the experience has been positive and accommodating.

Hi Dr. Ali,I have been a patient of yours for over 2 years. I personally, have no complaints against you. You are a wonderful human being doing Gods will on Earth. I only wish health management, who runs your practice, would have the same sense of professionalism and vocation as you do towards helping people. The situation I want you to be publicly aware of pertains to the unprofessional and insensitive management personnel that mistreats your patients and their family members.Just so you know, I tried to get in contact personally to speak about this situation, but they will not allow me to get in touch with you. Not through email, phone or virtual appointment. Therefore, I have been left with no option but to use this means to express myself because all human beings have the right to be heard regardless of their medical diagnoses.Attached is the letter I wrote to you in my last Intake Form submitted in February 2021 to management personnel. I doubt you have seen this, but hopefully now youll know what happens in your office behind the scenes.

If I could give a negative review, I would. The people running this office are not qualified to run a checkout line at the grocery.I called to book an appointment in January and the soonest they could get me in would be March. Also, it would have to be virtual because of COVID. Fine, I understand. On the day of my appointment, the office called me two times for various things. Come appointment time, I clicked on their virtual link and sat there for 30 minutes staring at myself before someone at the office called and said that I would need to reschedule because I had not been there in 2 years and would need a longer appointment. After I pointed out that I have had this on the books for WEEKS, and it was there job to notice how much time I would need at the appointment, I was blamed for not telling them I would need a longer appointment, a fact that I did not know since I DO NOT WORK IN THEIR OFFICE! I am sitting in astonishment (and anger) at the fact that someone in their office blamed me for their mistake....a mistake they had weeks to recognize and correct.Seriously, even when open for in-person visits, this office always ran behind schedule and you would rarely see the same doctor twice.Avoid this office.

Have been coming here for years. Amazing staff, doctors, and therapists!!! I can only believe that the poor reviews are from disgruntled patients that are not taking their meds, or patients that are discharge because they are not following through with what the docs are trying to help them with. Dr. Mel and Brianna are fantastic. The office manager (Semenya) is an utter delight to speak with. I encourage everyone to ignore the poor reviews from patients that do not actively pursue their treatment directives, or have unrealistic expectations. Personally, I would recommend anyone to this practice!

By far the worst Psychiatrist place I have ever been too. I have even had staff tell me how they planned to leave because it was so bad. This was the first place I started seeing and realized they just wanted to throw pills at you to see what works instead of listening. After the first person did this I asked to see a different doctor in the practice. Same experience. Then I saw a third. Same thing. I left for a year and half and finally found the real problem and it has been treated and worked great! Unfortunately they stopped taking my insurance so I head back to this place. HUGE MISTAKE. I see a fourth different doctor who actually listened for once there. But the problem I have is I told them my insurance will only accept my medication if written a certain way as I had another provider doing this and had no issues. So they repeatedly would send medications over without it being extended release or the wrong dosage. That is definitely not what you want from a doctor. I called in and asked to speak with a manager. The manager snapped at me and began to YELL on the phone saying you have not had this issue! I explained to her I have and she could speak to the pharmacist. I said I didnt have issue like this at the other place and she responded with then what did you come back for?! I proceeded to tell her I had no choice they quit taking my insurance and I needed my medication. She asked for my pharmacy number. Which if they are sending medications over to them in the first place why is a manager asking for my pharmacy number? Anyways, I started to look for it on my phone and she yelled ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE IT TO ME OR NOT? I told her I was looking for the number itd be nice if she could have a little patience with me. She proceeded to huff and puff. I asked to speak to the owner and she told me the owner would not ever be available. So at this point I just told her never mind forget it and hung up. By far THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE Ive ever had in my life. I will never call, step foot in there office, or recommend them to anyone! I suggest seeing Mindful Behavioral Health!

This place needs to be shut down for medical malpractice. What a completely unprofessional, unethical, and just awful experience with this group. I was given a referral by my therapist to see one of the best at this place. The Best asked me questions that were yes or no, did not expand on my concerns, refers me to CBT (which is free at my University) and just gave me medication. Okay, medication only for two months (she refills it once). I start changing my life to adjust to the new medication, and I get a routine. They both start getting low. Okay, I need a refill. I call S I X days ago, asking for a refill. Receptionist goes okay I put it in for her. Wait a day, nothing, so I leave them a voicemail that night. Nothing on Friday, but I get a call from my pharmacy saying that they cannot get in contact with her to refill it. Great. So weekend comes and I run out of them on Sunday. I call the office Monday. I put it in for you, there is nothing else I can do. Great. I call today after having my third day of withdrawal symptoms asking for any explanation as to why she cannot give me a refill. I texted her for you. That was at 1 pm today. It is now 6:18, and my pharmacy called to inform me that they have not been able to contact her for the last few days.I find it awful how a medical professional cannot even have a way of contacting their patients. Abrupt cessation of certain medications can be very dangerous for certain people, and it is an absolute joke that this place is still open. I was very happy to be throwing up, sweating, and having a heart rate of 140 most of the day. Thank you!

I think this team is WONDERFUL! I moved to Florida in January 2020. It took a couple of weeks to get my first appointment with a therapist or psychiatrist to begin my sessions. This is expected of any good organization. I was assigned Dr. Ann Adams whom I think is AMAZING. She is caring, interested in what I am dealing with and what I have to say during our sessions. She goes above and beyond to provide me with resources and activities and best practices that always benefit me and my condition and help me cope with challenges of my PTSD.Dr. El is also an amazing woman. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and takes time to listen to what I have to say. She does not treat me like a licenses drug dealer as other prescribing doctors have in the past. She understands that I dont want medication to be my cure, I want resources to help me sleep, calm my anxiety and move me forward in treatment and she is always receptive to my suggestions. Both of these ladies take time with me, listen and hear what I want from our sessions, dont insert their life experiences or family life into our session time and always, always, dedicates our session times towards my progression and handling of my PTSD. They also make time for unscheduled sessions. Even now, during the COVID pandemic, Ann has made 2 unscheduled tele-doc sessions with me when I didnt think I could wait until our next scheduled appts. I love them! Would give a 10 rating all day long if possible.

This is absolutely the worst medical office I’ve seen. The attitudes from the front desk girls is horrific especially considering they’re dealing with mental health. They don’t pass along messages to doctors. The doctors and PAs never call you back. When you call to follow up on why they didn’t call they give you attitude. Dealt with a bad episode from running out of meds and needed help ASAP from them to refill and no one cared. Again I’m dealing with a reaction to a change in meds abs need their help and have been stressing the urgency that they call before they close and they said they would and no call. So it makes me sit here with these symptoms that affect all I do when I need to function and be there for my kids. FYI I’m not a reviewer that rates one stars ever. This is my first.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Jeffrey Nard retraumatized my girlfriend today. She was seeing him for medication related to PTSD. When she logged in early for her appointment today, it didn’t start properly, and she ended up calling the office to get it started properly. Dr. Nard accused her of being late to the appointment. He then told her that because she has been having severe flashbacks, she was “clearly not making any progress in therapy” (this was their third teleconference, and he’s never spoken with her therapist), and told her she could find another doctor if she didn’t agree with his advice. A psychiatrist treating a trauma patient in this way is absolutely unacceptable. Go elsewhere for medical treatment.

June 2021: After switching insurance and struggling to find a Psych that is accepting patients- Ive returned to PGO to get my medications refilled. Nothing has changed. The office staff is incredibly rude and short. Ive been hung up on. I go a week between refills on a medication that cannot be stopped cold turkey. I called multiple times to ensure this doesnt continue happening and was rudely told to come pick up the script paper myself (30+ minutes away and Im working) if I want it filled. Actually absurd. Avoid this clinic if you can.Let me make it clear that my issue is not with the Doctors at this practice but their office staff. My PCP gave me a referral to this practice because I was needing my medications changed. I took off work and drove 45 minutes to my first appointment just to be told that my appointment had been cancelled despite no one communicating that to me. I lost several hours of pay over this. We rescheduled to roughly two weeks later. A few days prior, I had gotten into a car accident that totaled my car. I called their office and left a voicemail (because no one answers the phones) and made them aware that I wouldnt be able to make the appointment. Several weeks passed and I finally had my car back. I called to schedule my first appointment for the third time. I was rudely told that if I didnt show up to this one that I wouldnt be seen by their practice... My PCP scoffed at this but I needed my scripts so I paid the copay and took it. Dr. Ali was wonderful and caring- I have absolutely no issue with my sessions with him. He was honestly the only reason I continued using this practice and dealing with the headache of their office employees. Fast forward to now- Ive called to get my script filled and was told that I suddenly needed another appointment to have it honored. If this had been communicated to me AT ANY POINT IN TIME- I wouldnt have waited until the week before I was going to run out my medications. I was squeezed in for a phone appointment the next day and my copay was taken. I had another appointment that morning and rushed home afterward so I would be available for this call. An hour passed and no one called. I called them and no one answered. At this point, I had paused my entire morning for this and needed to get things done so I kept my phone on me and assumed they were just behind. Three hours passed and no one had called until it was 2PM and their practice had closed for the weekend. I attempted to call them this morning, for the 5th time, to get this script filled and my call went straight to voicemail. Im going to be taking my final dose of medications this morning and hoping I dont have issues from the lapse while I wait to get them filled elsewhere. Ive reported all of this to my insurance and PCP so they stop referring people here. The office staff is losing patients for their Doctors. Retrain them or hire new staff if you want to remain in business. Pysch patients dont need or deserve to be treated with such little regard or respect.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! Please do not go here. As if struggling with mental health issues isnt enough, one does not need a place that has no compassion, understanding of basic patient care, customer service or basic ethics. I wish Id never, ever come here. They got me all mixed up on different psych meds, and kept switching my providers with inferior staff members. Why? Because the main provider is medically unable to run his own practice any longer. And I got caught in the crossfire. They make me wait for up to an hour for visits that are rarely a full hour. They do not stay on top of med refills, (a nightmare for certain medications!) and Ive had to beg them to refill a HEART MEDICATION they put me on. They did not like me addressing these issues, the more I pleaded for better service, the worse they gave each time. In the end when I needed help the most they only wanted money, and stonewalled me with clueless clerical staff to avoid dealing with me. The last call I finally told the manager how I felt. (It involved me telling her she could stick it where the sun dont shine) As good as it felt, this is not the level of anxiety one should ever find themselves in when seeking help from a professional psychiatric office. I am now feeling so defeated and angry towards this group after a year of jumping through unnecessary hoops and trying to get help to take care of myself. Of course, now they wont even answer my calls so I can get my medical records. As of now, I am so over this practice, I have put my medical health in jeopardy just to get as far away from this shady place as possible. This was really the last thing I needed in my life. The doctors and other staff are wonderful, do their job, handle patients more professionally than their receptionists. I had a recent cancellation which resulted in my inability to get my medication on time, which had been re-scheduled twice only to be dropped on the day it was scheduled for. They also were not explanatory of which portions of my record could be released, which is resulting in a DoH formal complaint for their failure to release my records. When you do bring up that it is their fault, instead of being apologetic and attempt to reschedule ASAP, they leave you on the hook as a patient. Overall, this depicts to me that they do not care much for their patients. Doctor tells me he can send my scripts electronically because it’s maintenance medication and I no longer live within the city. In April I called in for my refill and advised office staff of what doctor had told me about sending scripts electronically. They refused to believe me and insisted I must come in. Their next appt was well after my MAINTENANCE medication ran out so I asked for the doctor to call me. Instead of the doctor, I get a call from my pharmacy that my script is ready. Now I notice that one script had wrong qty so I call and advise them of the error and to set up for my next refill. Again office staff insists that they can’t do it because I cancelled my last appt. I said I wasn’t told I still needed to keep the appt. No one called me to tell me anything. I asked the asst, “If you received your full months medication, instead of just enough until you make the appt, and no one called you to say that you must keep your appt, what would you think?” She said she wouldn’t know because she’s not a patient there. I said you don’t have to be a patient, you just have to have some common sense. The staff was not like this before but unfortunately there have been some changes in personnel and it shows. It’s a shame because I felt great with these doctors. I now left a message with the asst to have either doctor contact me. As a patient at risk of running out of critical medication, I certainly hope my request isn’t treated like the last time. If you do decide to seek treatment here just be prepared to be mistreated and have your guard up when it comes to medicine. Triple check all scripts and Get everything in writing. Doctor will be calling or requesting next months script electronically? Get that in writing. Otherwise any progress you’ve made will be gone in no time thanks to office staff. I wouldn’t be surprised if the office staff leads them into a big headache with AHCA. They just need one suicide, anxiety attack or some other major issue that could’ve been avoided if the right people were in place.

Im reposting this as it seems to have disappeared:This is the last straw!I have been seeing Dr. Ali for the better part of the last decade. I have had panic disorder since I was a child and have been taking Xanax (1mg 0-3 times daily) for several years. This was once considered a small dose. Now it is a huge deal, apparently. Dr. Ali has been prescribing this to me and, over the years, I have had more and more left by the time my new refill is due, so I believe my panic disorder is slowly but surely getting better.I understand that people abuse this medication and that doctors are held accountable, but that is no excuse for what I experienced today:Dr. Alis wife, Dr. Mel implicated me in getting multiple prescriptions from multiple doctors for Xanax. This was triggered because she saw Dr. Coo in some poorly formatted print-out of my Rx history. I told her I had never heard of that doctor. Her implications became accusations, and went on to include the fact I had been taking pain medication (legally, with a prescription, MONTHS EARLIER, for GOUT attacks (before I was diagnosed with gout)). So I voluntarily opened my Walgreens app on my phone and allowed her to scan every thing in my Rx history. It was then that she realized it was HER very own Dr. CooPER. This is her and her husbands practice! Dr. Cooper works for them! How did she not make that connection before treating me like a junky criminal!? Somone or something didnt include the full name of the doctor, and Dr. Mel completely broke any trust we had by accusing me of illegal activities. No, no, no! Additionally - I had people who were therapists, *not* doctors, writing Dr. Mels name on prescriptions for me. I took them then, but in hindsight - that was shady.Aside from that, this place has gone down the crapper Dr. Ali hasnt been around to keep things in check. I rarely ever see the doctor I am supposed to see. Every time I see a new doctor it feels like I am being interrogated by a federal agency... because I apparently chose to have panic disorder? NO! Unacceptable. Give me a non-addictive alternative that works just as well as Xanax and I will take that instead. Its not like I enjoy relying on medication, people! They also continuously raise their penalty fee for cancellations. The thing is - they CANCEL on YOU CONSTANTLY. Do they pay you the fee? Of course not! Even though their in-house sign regarding late-fees is ambiguous and could apply to the staff as well as patients, they refuse to adhere to a single standard. They also have an automated system to text you and let you respond Y to confirm or N to cancel. This system is broken. I replied N to cancel an appointment > 24 hours before and during my next visit they charged me $75. I showed them my text but they did not care. On the flipside - they informed me the system stopped working altogether. I found this out because my intuition told me to call and confirm to make sure I was still on for my appointment. They had cancelled my appointment and then never let me know. They said they called me. I checked through my call history (on my carriers website) and they never called. I strongly believe they liars and they are looking out for themselves and their wallets. This fits the definition of mercenary.I was treated as if I was both a drug addict and a criminal, of which I am neither. And I will never forget the way Dr. Mel caused me to feel.I detest what this place became after years of good service. Shame on this place and shame on its staff for allowing such behavior.

I would rather give no stars. Do yourself a favor and travel further to a different practice. These people dont care about you at all, they only care about money, and they will treat you poorly. The front staff is atrocious and clearly dont know how to do their jobs or handle situations. They are rude, absolutely rude. It is sad because the Dr. is worth it, but probably not if that is how she will have her staff run her practice Absolutely horrible people who have know idea how to deal with people.

They denied even seeing my son because of his “hostility”. He has ADHD, bipolar, and is autistic. While on meds he’s fine. Who the hell denies anyone the help when they desperately need meds and therapy?? And when he is out amongst civilization and ends up hurting someone because he’s not on meds the blame lies here.

Rudest office staff Ive ever met. All I was trying to do was cancel my appointment and the receptionist threatened to hang up on me and charge me the $75 cancellation fee just bevause I wouldnt explain in detail why I was cancelling (which is no ones business). Never going back, i suggest to find any other place besides here.

I went to this office for about 7 years. When I first started going, I loved the office. Dr. Meloukhea (dont remember how to spell her name) was fantastic. She listened and always offered me several options and I rarely had an issue. But as they added on additional staff, the office changed. My appointments kept getting canceled and I had to reschedule, causing friction for me at work due to me constantly changing the time I needed off to go to my appts. One time I agreed to see Daniela because I couldnt reschedule or else I would run out of meds. What a mistake! I told her that I wasnt happy with one of my medications because it seemed to be ineffective and had caused me to gain a lot of weight. She informed me of a different medication and when I asked about the potential to gain weight with this new med, she lied straight to my face and said there wasnt any evidence showing weight gain was an issue. Went home with a prescription for the new med, but decided to do my own research before taking it. Guess what? On the medication packet from the manufacturer, it stated clear as day that there was a potential to gain weight. At my next appt, I insisted on seeing Dr. Meloukhea and complained about my experience with Daniela. That was the last appt they kept with me. They would cancel and reschedule, then cancel the appt that had been rescheduled. I asked the receptionist if there was some sort of issue Dr. M had with me that needed to be resolved and was told no. I asked for an explanation as to why my appts were not being kept, I wasnt given one. So I left and went elsewhere. Its unfortunate that I was going to the office for medication to help me feel better and all their antics just ended up making me feel worse. Life is too short and there are much better options out there. Dont let this office bring you down. They arent worth it.

Ive been seeing the male doctor here for 6 years. I moved to Colorado but continued to come home to see my doctor every 6 months or so. I flew out specifically to see him and he canceled my appointment on me. Not only did they cancel my appointment they never called or left voicemails informing me they had canceled it so I woke up early and drove two hours out of my way to see my doctor; talk about a massive inconvenience, despite this I rescheduled. They were upset I told them how utterly unprofrossenionaly they had just acted, I also stated while in the waiting room maybe I should just get a new doctor if this is how you treat your patients of over 6 years in front of other clients and apx 30 minutes after I left my inconsideratly canceled appointment they called to tell me they had canceled my rescheduling and told me Id need to find a new doctor. I would not ever recommend using this doctors office you are so much better off elsewhere. Theyre really mean, rude, and nasty people. Besides who wants to go to a doctor who cant even keep his appointments straight? Or one who is rescheduling constantly but cant even call to tell you. I suppose thats his secretaries job but clearly she is incapable of performing even the most basic of daily job duties. I know Im not the only one whos complained. They have one good review. Save yourself the time, energy, and money. Go to a REAL doctor. This is not the first time it has happened.
