I’ve been a patient here for 3 years. I’ve enjoyed going to Annett Torres. But today was the last attempt to visit my Drs.I had to get a Covid test in order to be seen. Even after telling them it was negative I was asked to do a zoom call. When I explained I would like the dr to listen to my chest she said okay come in but bring a copy. Mind you that was 10 mins prior to my apt starting.I arrived on time. Paid my copay.34 mins after my apt time, I was called back. I asked how long it was going to take to be seen as I had another apt at 4:30 across the hall. The nurse told me that it was going to cut close because the Dr was seeing someone new.At 4:25; 55 mins after my scheduled apt time o walked out. I was told I was next. But my next apt started in 5 mins. I asked them to tell me how I would be treated if I canceled or no showed for an apt. Why is my time any less valuable.I will be calling to get my money back.I will be changing to a new dr.It is not fair that DR offices can treat patients time like this. My time, time missed from work for no reason now, is just as valuable as that staffs… DRs included.

The care and service that we have received from UCF Health at Lake Nona has been excellent. Dr Paulson takes time with her patients explaining all aspects of the care. She never makes you feel rushed. We also get very quick responses when using the patient portal to get answers or prescriptions refilled.It is a little unnerving to not be able to speak to a nurse directly but we have had our questions answered.

I was really looking forward to starting my care for a recently diagnosed auto-immune disease with the Rheumatologists at UCF health, since they all got amazing reviews. I truly believe in research hospitals like UCF Health being the best place to receive medical care. The problem is, I cant get past the preauthorization part to even see anyone! It has been 3 weeks since my records were sent over for review by the nurse and they are no closer to being reviewed. The receptionist, Karen (who isnt at the Lake Nona campus but routes their calls for them), stated that even though it is beyond the 10-14 business days their policy allows for review, they have no idea when the records will be reviewed and cannot give me a timeline to anticipate hearing back. Additionally, it is possible even after all this time I could be denied care as I may not match the criteria for the doctors to take me on as a patient. So meanwhile Im suffering from symptoms of my disease that are increasing and getting worse, only to wait for an unknown amount of time, and possibly be told I wont be seen by anyone and will have wasted all this time. I do appreciate that the Rheumatology scheduler, Melissa, did put an expedited note on my file, but this did nothing to move the process along. When I explained to the receptionist Karen that I realize this situation is not her fault but if she could pass on my frustrations to those who make the policy, she was rude and short with me stating she had a very long queue of callers, this is just the policy in place, and shes given me all the information she has. This policy is terrible and not a professional or patient-centered approach for UCF Health to have as outward-facing to potential new patients. So disgusted with my experience thus far, which is a shame because the doctors seem amazing.

I’ve been trying all week to get a medication refill approved and no one wants to answer the phone the only option is a voicemail and they won’t get back to you until a day or two. One nurse that did call me told me to tell Walgreen pharmacy to just give me the meds. That doesn’t work. These are meds I can’t just run out of and stop cold turkey. I’m so disappointed and frustrated with this office.

I see Shazia Beg (Rheumatology) and Navid Sami (Dermatology). As a patient with Lupus SLE I am always taken care of, heard, and really seen by my care team at UCF Health. I recommend them to all of my friends who need help, to anyone I know with lupus or skin conditions. Their level of care is amazing. I can send them an email at 2 in the morning and theyll respond as soon as they can, Ive never once felt judged or misunderstood. I sincerely love them as health care providers.

The care I received from Dr. George have been excellent. She takes time with patients and she listens. I have been brushed off for years and I actually thought I was going crazy because I have been in so much pain for years and every doctor I saw didnt care enough to help me. I am so glad I found UCF Health!! Dr. George also referred me to Dr. Sami, Dermatologist. I am so greatful for everything he did to help my skin condition as well and they both worked together to find a treatment for me. I also have to say that the front desk lady at the Rheumatologist office (Im so sorry I cant remember her name) is friendly and very helpful!!I cant say enough about UCF Health and the physicians that have treated me here!!Thank you!!

I moved down to Florida last year and went in for a regular physical. When there the doctor said she was going to get blood work for my physical and said it was covered by insurance. I told her that I did not want anything that would cost me money out of pocket as I didnt see it needed. a few months down the road I am billed for a vitamin d bloodwork that is not considered a part of the physical. I have been trying to work on this resolution for over 6 months and they just keep pushing me back to my insurance and to the lab to get if figured out. How can you expect others to fix an issue that shouldve never been created by your staff in the first place?! I am still getting delinquent bills for something that was neither needed or requested and their office cant seem to get this taken care of.The response below honestly makes no sense as your doctor sent me directly to the lab right after my visit. Thank you for the attempt to take ownership and improve credibility.

I have been treated by dermatologists Sami and Weinstein. Each are exceptional and I couldnt recommend them more highly. Their phone services are horrendous. I received a message to return a call in regards to a biopsy result. Upon attempting to reach them there is no applicable option in the menu. Upon trying the available options I received a not available response. So now I sit and worry until they may choose to call again.

Finance before patient care... be prepared for finance to be the focus of your interaction. Office staff... the worst. Zero PT care/compassion. And the office manager ... no better!

Never will recommend anyone. Office changed our original appointment , we tried to get new appointment. No one will pick up at appointment desk. Finally went personally from Oviedo to Lake Nona facility. Promised us to call next day. It’s already a week. We’re moving out of state and the last appointment with RA doctor is very critical for my husband. That’s really sad and frustrating that we can’t depend on our health care providers for simple thing like appointment. Never had such bad experience with any provider. Never write bad reviews for anyone but this was just needed so other people know.

Dr. Tramont is an amazing doctor. He gives patients information based on the most current science and allows them to decide what is best for them. He is thoughtful, professional, and his office is well organized. I have worked with physicians for years and I would consider him in the top 1%.

Dr. Shazia Beg is FANTASTIC! She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, thorough, compassionate, caring, and empathetic. She is patient and takes the time to listen to your concerns and needs. I have been seeing Dr. Beg for several years and my condition continues to improve. I feel so blessed to have her as my doctor. She is simply the BEST!

It is always nice find a doctor that can listen to you, and help you to find the better treatment for your consultation, without being in a hurry, good human beings! I will definitely reccomend this place.

We have had a great experience here! I saw the nurse practitioner Annette who helped me a lot with my vitamin levels. Also, she quickly diagnosed my husband with the flu and suggested a natural remedy for me to not get it which worked. Also, she listens and takes her time. The staff is great up front and the nurses are all very nice. I have always gotten in quickly when I need to. I’m happy with my care given here.

This review is about the elevators. Come on, the building is new, how come the elevators cant show on the outside which floor they are at and when they arrive to the floor? I just had to keep looking to the red triangle until it turned off and guess which elevator arrived 😕Also, when it arrived to the first floor (inside) it took a while to open once the floor number turned off 😕

My wife came here for an appointment, which was rescheduled twice because the first time doctor left early.... and the second time was because she didn’t show up that day. So right away this was already turning into a bad experience and a waste of PTO. When she finally got into the building, she was given a TON of paperwork to fill out, which she filled out online before hand trying to avoid. She was asked if she minded if a student were to be in the room while she spoke to her “doctor”. She said no, but they still put her in a room with a male student. My wife was being asked questions like “ do you think it could be this and that...” lmao she’s not a doctor, that’s what she’s coming to you for. Overall not a good experience, she didn’t feel comfortable at all, she felt judged, and we won’t be returning.

Dr. Patel has been such a great help understanding the issues I have due to multiple autoimmune diseases. He and Sharde make me feel so comfortable. I was in the emergency room for what turned out to be a minor eye issue. The emergency room staff was so impressed with Dr. Patels fast response to my needs. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone from the front desk to scheduling desk have been wonderful.

If you require the service of an endocrinologist, ask for Dr Suryana! She is the best!Dr Suryana has my utmost respect for properly and quickly identifying a long pending issue with my thyroid.She recommended the correct surgical procedure and I feel better now and I am so grateful for this!She ensured proper and thorough follow-up with me.More importantly, she really cares about her patients and she really wish for them to feel better.

I have had several appts at the Lake Nona Office and my experiences have all been very satisfactory. Everyone I came in contact with from the moment I entered was pleasant and helpful in a professional manner. I was greeted courteously and processed without much delay. I also found the setup of the waiting area to be comfortable and pleasing to the eye. I believe I’ve made a good choice.

Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful new facility. Dr. Patel is fabulous.He is congenial and caring. He is obviously well educated and knowledgable, as well as being an excellent surgeon.

I am very impressed with the UCF Health practice at Medical City. The facilities are modern, clean, bright and convenient. I saw Dr. Sury for Endocrinology and was beyond impressed with the time she took to understand my health concerns as a new patient and the compassion she exhibited. Will happily remain a patient of hers and recommend her to others! :)

Office said they require records... If you don’t have any records on the issue... how are you supposed to get any without seeing someone? Oh, I get it.. you only want people who have already received a diagnosis and started treatment so you can just continue treatment and collect insurance payments... scam

Dr Mehul Patel is an amazing eye specialist. He always made us feel like my wife was his only patient! Always very professionally yet so friendly with us. Having had 2 eye surgeries at a young age, Jean was very anxious but Dr Patel & his staff explained every step of their care to us & calmed her fears. We are VERY happy we were referred to Dr Patel & will always recommend him. Jean’s two surgeries went very well..... better than we had anticipated.

Great experience. First appointment was conducted in a very timely manner, Dr. Seifert was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Facility was very new and clean.

I have had a few issues this past month and had to call Dr. Shazia Beg before my regularly scheduled appt. The nurse was very responsive and attended to my request the day I called, and I also was able to set up an appointment with the doctor within a reasonable amount of time to address my issues. It has been my experience that Dr. Beg spends quality time with her patients and never seems to rush you out as in many other offices. She takes the time to listen and is very professional as well as pleasant. I would highly recommend the UCF Health at the Tavistock Lakes Blvd. location.

I didnt know what to expect when I was referred to UCF Health by my insurance carrier, but I was extremely impressed by the staff and facilities. It is absolutely top notch and I have no hesitation to recommend this medical facility/group to anyone

Doctor is ok but the nurse is the worst. Trying to get pre-authorization for 3 weeks but the phone never been answered! Every time I call to the front desk, they just transfer me to a ghost phone with voice mail only. You will never speak with a real human. Seems like nobody is taking care of your pre-authorization. I have been waiting for my pre-authorization for over 3 weeks, still nothing. Be very careful if you want to choose UCF health.

Dr Weinstein is simply AMAZING! I was referred to him by my dermatologist for Mohs surgery. He had to remove a good size spot from my face and masterfully stitched me back up with minimal scarring. When I went back for the follow up he even lasered the spot to make it look even better. Both him and his assistant make sure that you are comfortable and pain free. I highly recommend him!

I have seen Annette C. Torres, ARNP, for a painfully swollen, red middle finger.I was not able to identify the source that caused it to her.Ms. Torres examined the finger and ruled out mersa.Rather, she thought that if was probably a nonvenomous insect bite.Prescribed Bactroban cr. 2% which I applied shortly after the office visit.Within few hours I noticed major improvement, and reduced pain in the finger.I suspect I will be back to normal in 24 hours.Thank you Ms. Torres for prescribing the correct medication that took care of the problem. Also, thank you for seeing me so punctually at my designated appointment time.

Difficulty getting a scheduler to return your calls and actually give you an appointment. Understaffed. Newer practice and already rejecting new patients. After all this you still have to put up with a med student shadowing the real doctor. Not worth it. Save yourself the trouble. UCF is totally wasting their money in keeping this place open.

I have finally found a Health home - and Ive been with UCF Health since day one - I have 6 of my 7 Doctors at UCF Health - and the seventh is a former UCF Health Dr. - although I was with her long before she was at UCF - and happens that she and my PCP are besties, so communication between them about me flows freely. Its absolutely critical, especially with my health issues, to have a team that communicates with each other so well!! I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist, and she determined I needed to see another Doctor within the practice - one I had NOT seen before. Doc #1 went down the hall to talk with Doc #2 - and viola, when I was done with Doc #1, I immediately went to see my new Doc... Cant say how much I love all the Docs I have seen here at UCF Health... and all the nurses behind the scenes are awesome as well. The biggest thing, for me, is the ability to communicate with my Docs thru the UCF Health Portal - any questions, concerns - I get answers within hours...

Love this practice! Dr. Beg is the best! Caring,smart and always makes me feel cared for. Love her nurse Kim too! All my medical needs are taken care of by the best team and staff. And comprehensive team care is what it is! To me, This practice is a model for how good healthcare/medical practices should be! Love Dr Castro,Dr Gros,Dr Cannarrozzi and Annette!

First Do No Harm. A simple oath all medical professionals take before seeing patients. Hippocrates would be ashamed to know that the Nurse Practitioner at this health center would rather consult WebMD then diagnose using correct testing and thought. If that wasnt enough, when simply asked questions by concerned patients and family, she stormed out yelling and slammed the door. As a UCF alumni of the biomedical program, I was appalled that UCF would allow someone to act like this to one of their own. I will never let my family or friends use a Lake Nona medical facility. When I become a medical professional, I will not refer people to this facility. First DO NO HARM. Learn bedside manner. I am disgusted.

This facility has excellent doctors. Dr. Shazia Beg is very through and caring. She listens to her patients and develops the best treatment for them. Dr. Beg has helped improve my husbands quality of life and improved his pain level due to his autoimmune condition. Dr. Obi Adigweme replaced both of my husbands knees. His attention to his patients individual needs is excellent!! Thank you Dr. Beg., Dr. Adigweme, Shonda and Adrian!

Scheduled an appointment back in April, got a call from the receptionist that I needed to rescheduled didnt say why, the earliest they could do it was in June, so I scheduled it, just before the appointment got another phone call that It needed to be rescheduled. complete waste of my time, still dont understand why as they just call you once without an explanation, if you are not accepting new patients stop wasting their time.

Disappointing and disgracing experience.Been here twice to 2 different departments.Horrible receptionist etiquette, seen only 20-50 minutes after scheduled appointment, unprofessional Doctor1) I communicated to the assistant and Doctor I only speak English. While the Doc was collecting my vaginal sample, she inappropriately exclaimed rhythmically, CHLA-MY-DIA, followed by SPANISH obviously not intended for me to understand [while swishing the qtip inside me] to her assistant -Natasia or Anastasia. The use of Spanish (a language only the doctor and assistant understood in the entire room) in front of the patient ABOUT the patient is an absolute NO.2) After signing in, I let the receptionist know I need paperwork to fill out. The 2 receptionists spent 15 minutes gossiping about a doctors prescription mess-ups instead of printing my paperwork or checking my appointment3) 50 minutes waiting after my scheduled appointment, I only found out my doc was running late after inquiring myself (30 min in)

Doctor forgot to issue my flu shot, nurse difficult to get ahold of for lab results, staff did not know several simple health related questions, issue with refilling my prescription, nurses and doctors seem very amateur.

Very unprofessional. My family is full of doctors and would NEVER act the way the nurse practitioners act. DO NOT SEE ANETTE AT ALL COSTS.
