Had an appointment in Feb 2021 and got there was told Dr Waldman was out of office and a PA would see me. Which he was very nice and very informative probably better than Dr. Waldman, sent me for some test and said I would come back and see them after they got the results. I got test right away however my appointment was made for four months later so I assumed nothing was major wrong. After waiting for four months for my appointment I was contacted one week before June tent to tell me that Dr. Waldman was going to take a little fake-ation and they would have to reschedule and it would be in October. I think this is very unprofessional they did offer to send me to another doctor but I think I am done with Orlando Health cardiology as I do not feel that they’re very efficient.
I saw Dr Waldman today. He was fantastic and I would highly recommend. All of the staff there were great. I really dislike going to Drs but they made it very easy for me.
Very disappointed in how this office handles clients. I have an appointment this coming Tuesday and was told I could call the business office directly to recieve an estimate. I called for 4 days and left 4 messages, and I never received one call back. Finally I was able to get a hold of someone the fourth time after jumping through hoops and calling the appointment line 2 additional times and Orlando Healths main line. I was told I need to call the manufacturer of the event monitor I am scheduled to receive to get a quote from them. Very poor patient service. Edit: I was prescribed a heart monitor and spoke with a manager since I was not able to reach the billing department last time to get an estimate as was offered in my paperwork. I was told the heart monitor would be fully covered with $0 copay. Since I had prior issues with this offices billing department, I called my insurance (BCBS) to double check this information. My insurance informed me that this brand monitor was absolutely not covered and no one from the office had sent pre-authorization to insurance. I would have been responsible for 100% of the bill. I believe this office is trying to scam patients.
Dr. Waldman took care of me after open heart surgery for 18 days. Its been approx 5 years and at 68 years old, still running 5k marathons. Cant say enough.
