Ive been going to Next Eyewear ever since a friend recommended them to me, and theyve always exceeded expectations for service and quality. Melissa helped me find my last two pairs of glasses, and Ive just ordered the third. I wouldnt have chosen any of them without Melissas help, but she has an amazing eye for what looks good on a face.With that said, you will pay a bit for the quality, and VSPs reimbursement is limited. But if you can afford it, I think its worth the price. And as other reviewers have said, theres no sales pressure, and theyre happy to put new lenses in old frames or recommend frames that are on sale.I cannot recommend Next Eyewear enough!

Found the perfect glasses with clip on to match. I’ve been looking everywhere for the old school round glasses. The representative was so help and knowledgeable. For your “NOT” your run of the mill frames, this is a must see. 😎🤓

After feeling discouraged after visiting one of the optical companies on College Avenue in Oakland, I discovered Rick - the owner of the Next Eyewear for the last 20 years. He was no nice and thoughtful and understanding.I didnt like any of the frames I saw - So, I decided to use older frames (for glasses I dont use any more). Rick provided encouragement to me for this decision and never tried to sell me on what I didnt want. The new lenses in the old frames are doing very well.Again, I was very pleased with Next Eyewear and will return to Next Eyewear when my glasses need updating again.

I’ve been getting my frames and lenses here for over 15 years. Melissa and Rick are the owners. Melissa has a fantastic knack for choosing the right frames for you, she has really expanded my idea of that looks good on me. I have purchased 5-6 frames from her over the years. Their selection is really unusual and I appreciate having one of kind frames. This is not a discount store and I often pay them off over time 😀I drive all the way from Sonoma County. Yes, it’s true, it’s just them and sometimes there are more customers than staff to help. I know that can be frustrating. I encourage folks to have a little patience and you will have a great experience!

Great selection and service. While I couldnt find anything at all in the big chains, Melissa easily found 4-5 pairs that looked great on me. I needed it done the next day as I was about to go on vacation and it was ready in time. Very happy with my new specs and the great service.
