Although this location is very convenient, I cant get anyone to answer the phone when I call. Its hard to get prescription refills and dealing with the staff other than the front desk person is bs. I feel like Im better off driving all the way to the main va hospital and going to urgent care.........

Location is super convenient and the staff was very friendly and professional. With each appointment I’ve had, the lobby has had a few vets but never crowded and I’ve been seen promptly after arrival. I haven’t had to wait long at all for appointments. Much quicker than at the OKC hospital.

Im a combat vet and switched to the Norman VA clinic from the OKC VA because of proximity. I waited 1 1/2 hours for a labs test and would have waited longer if another vet hadnt spoken to the lab tech. I told the receptionist at the front desk and the lab tech that I have to get to work and cant wait this long for a simple lab test. The lab tech apologized profusely and I told her it wasnt her fault, but I informed her I wouldnt have her do my labs and was going to transfer my doctor and care back to the OKC VA - an excellent facility where they take about 10 minutes for labs and then you go straight to your doctor. The receptionist here seemed clueless as to what was going on. Hopefully this VA clinic will get its act together at some point.
