Being immunocompromised, I pop in here regularly for a Covid test. The staff are very efficient and the providers are all very friendly and helpful.

This isn’t a fun experience for anyone to get tested for Covid-19, but at least it was easy. We got to wait in the car in designated parking spots while a nurse called to discuss our symptoms and someone eventually came right to our window and tested myself and my toddlers. The kids were champs, no tears, so easy! Everyone was kind and knowledgeable and given the circumstances they’re all absolute saints.

I don’t live in the immediate area but I will make the drive there anytime I need to see a doctor. This walk in clinic is like a well oiled machine, everyone is so efficient. Every single doctor I’ve seen here is experienced and best of all they listen. They get right to the point, value your time and they help solve your issue and they keep it moving to the next patient. I really appreciate that.

I was a walk in patient today with a high blood pressure issue. The staff was amazing! I was taken back with in 15 minutes upon check in. I work at a busy Ophthalmology Practice as an Office Manager in Newport Beach. I was very impressed with the care I received. My insurance verification was approved with in two minutes. Highly recommend this office.

I had cut my hand the night before and called Hoag Urgent Care the at 8:00am Henry the X - Ray Technician took my call and said i could come in right away, he was so great on the phone and made it very easy to check in when I got there.Once I got there I filled out paper work and they had me in a room almost immediately. Henry cleaned up my hand and was so gentle and walked through everything. Once that was done Dr. Stella came in and was also so great and kind and knowledgeable. She made me very comfortable throughout the entire process and got my hand stitched up right away and it never hurt, both her and Henry were amazing!Not the mention the facility was so clean and beautiful inside, they take every pro caution to keep you safe before you even get in the building!Again thank you very much Henry the x-ray technician and Dr. Stella for making my bad situation much better! You guys are awesome!

I was just all around pleased. The staff was friendly. The Dr. was great. I didnt wait forever. Cant reccomend enough. Mike Sanchez was the one who xrayed my foot. He was super friendly. And I believe the Dr. who helped me was Megan Stumph. She answered all my questions, was very thorough and also very friendly. All around pleasant experience.

Competent staff, waited a bit longer than expected with an appointment, test results timely.

By the time you reach your 40’s, (and especially if you have kids), you’ve been to a few urgent care facilities...This is hands down the best I’ve ever been to in any state. I brought my daughter in for a strep test and minor respiratory issue (in the height of the zombie apocalypse). The staff was awesome and communicative while we waited in the car for our turn for treatment. The doctor (an actual MD unlike many urgent cares that save money with PAs or NPs) was kind, compassionate, and thorough. I would recommend that you stay healthy, but if you have to get sick... come here. If anyone that can affect thanking the staff, visit was 3/7/21 at 10am.Thanks again for providing great care AND customer service.

I went to the center at 8:15 a.m. on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. I didn’t have a reservation, and I was still seen and treated with no problem. The staff was efficient and professional and the PA who treated me was warm, professional and knowledgeable. I know they were busy, but she treated me like she had all the time in the world to explain things and answer questions. I was home with a prescription that they had called in to my local pharmacy within a hour. I couldn’t have had a better experience and I am grateful for the entire staff for this wonderful care.

My daughter got a bad cut on her face and needed stitches so we rushed off to Hoag urgent care. They were able to get us in straight away even without a reservation. The entire staff, nurses and doctors were so kind to my daughter and made her feel great the whole time, and they were able to use glue instead of stitches to make this a less traumatic experience. I highly recommend this urgent care if you have young children.

I was a walk in because of the convenience rather than scheduling a future appointment. Therefore there was the somewhat to be expected waiting to be seen but the staff is very attentive and my nurse practitioner expertly took care of the problem. The facility is immaculate and all precautions are taken regarding covid. I would recommend this highly when you have an unexpected need for medical attention

I was a patient who went for a pre-Surgery Covid test. After I finally got thru the phone tree to speak with a human all went well. I arrived on time and waited only a few minutes to be called in. The nurse who took my vitals was very sweet, and explained every step of the procedure. When the doc came in she again explained the procedure. She was cheerful and upbeat and explained how the results would be sent. All in all, my experience was great. If the phone tree can be fixed Ill give the vlinic a 5+. For now, a 4 will do. I highly recommend this facility. Ann Harmer

The MA and provider were both very friendly and personable and easy to talk to. They were also great about keeping me informed of wait times for each step of my visit.

They are so kind and helpful. This has been my go-to urgent care from everything to a cold to when I needed stitches. I haven’t tried a nurse or doctor here that wasn’t wonderful! Highly recommend!

This facility, upon entering, right away, you get a sense of “clean and fresh, which I love. The staff is so friendly, inviting and sooooo helpful. The wait was not long, even though there was a decent amount of people coming in, they kept them moving right along. I wish all facilities would follow their example.

Needed a COVID test for surgery. I had appointment and arrived early. All paperwork is done online when you make your appointment They asked if I wanted to come into the office for the test. I asked if they could come to the car. They came quickly after a few short questions. No big lines, no sick walk up patients. I felt super safe and loved the quick response. I was done before my original appointment time. I’ve never been here before, but definitely will go back. They have lots of appointments available and video calls.

I had an in-person Pre-Op Covid-19 Testing done and the results came back in 2 days. The staff was very helpful, knowledgable and assisted me shortly after arrival.I would highly recommend Hoag Urgent Care Center in Newport Beach to any patient in need of this kind of service.

Everyone was very helpful. Was in for Covid testing for pre-op surgery. All the fuss about the having the test is not necessary it was a breeze and only took a moment.

Hoag has the most efficient process to complete the pre-surgery required COVID test. And the medical staff was also efficient, friendly with great sense of humor helping the me through the process from setting up the appointment to delivering the test.

I am here just for a covid test for pre op surgery. The waiting room is crowded and looks dirty. They do not practice social distancing nor are they cleaning the waiting room. SCARY DIRTY

Horrible front line staff. Staff below physician’s assistant level are uncaring, rude, unprofessional and do not have correct information. I would NEVER voluntarily go there. They deserve negative stars for extraordinarily poor service. I am not certain my pre-op test will be submitted, due to the attitude and statements made by staff.

I walked in to get a Covid test before a medical procedure. The staff were helpful and kind and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. The gentleman that assisted me was personable and put me at ease during an awkward test.

I was apprehensive in walking into Urgent Care rather than emergency cause I wanted to be sure whomever I saw would be thorough and not rushed. I didn’t want the long wait of emergency plus I didn’t think my situation was an emergency state. After Dr. Moon walked into the room and began chatting about my symptoms I knew I was in good hands. She was incredibly thorough, patient, kind and very informative. Right away she requested we do certain tests to rule out any major concerns which is exactly what I wanted. I’ve never felt so at ease with a doctor taking her time to explain in detail what was going on. I walked in full of worry and left feeling completely at ease. The staff, reception and nurses, were all so kind as well. It’s a very warm and caring environment. Thank you for such great care.

I had tripped on my stairs hurting my knee and ankle. Went in on an Sunday morning. I was seen and treated quickly, xrays on site. Entire staff was very kind and helpful.

My insurance cancelled memorial medical care in my network so I switched everything to Hoag, thank you to my insurance because Hoag is so much better. I found a great Thyroid doctor and had to go to urgent where there was 10 people ahead of me but still out in less than 30 minutes. Hoag is great, very organized network with the cleanest locations.

Been dealing with a cold with a low grade fever that just wouldn’t go away. Friday my doctor couldn’t see me but said if I woke up and still had a temp to head over to Urgent Care for a chest X-ray. The wait room was full (Saturday at noon) and I waited just under an hour. The staff was very friendly and offered waters. Finally in the room and the doctor listened to all my symptoms. She recommended a flu test and throat culture to rule out other causes before doing a chest X-ray. Turns out I have strep. I’ve had it before and these symptoms were not at all the same so I was really surprised. I’m very appreciative that the doctor took the time to diagnose prior to doing a chest X-ray to save me the unnecessary radiation. The office sent the prescription to my pharmacy and I picked it up on the way home. I would highly recommend Hoag Urgent Care. And if you have a cold with fever that you just can’t shake, drag yourself in like I did. Strep is not one to mess with and even though it’s still early in season, it’s out there!

I had about a 45 minute wait but that wasn’t bad compared to other urgent care facilities I’ve visited. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dr was great and right on target with my care, great sense of humor too. I wish she had her own practice. Great place If you have to go to an urgent care.....friendly, professional and efficient!

Our experiences have always been excellent at Hoag Urgent Care Newport Beach. They are thorough, efficient, caring. The facilities are clean and comfortable. They work hard to heal body, mind and soul. Bedside manner is exceptional. Prescriptions are sent electronically and ours was ready at CVS by the time we arrived.

We had taken our daughter here for some symptoms of pain, she is 7 years old and the staff here was very prompt, professional and extremely kind and nurturing, the NP that attended to my daughter ( Demetra) was one of the best and most attentive and kind person we have encountered in awhile. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care.

Doctor was nice! The rest of staff rude especially lewie , Henry, and the front desk! Unprofessional and they make patient uncomfortable. Lewis have bad attitude!!! I never had bad experience but this was my first and last time

Just got my Pre-op COVID 19 test. It was quick and efficient. They seemed pretty organized with procedures set to minimize contact. The procedure was unpleasant but they were quick about it so I didnt mind. Now waiting for an all clear.

I had a COVID-19 scare and found out that my consultation over the phone with my primary care physician wouldnt be for a couple of days. I did not want to wait for a referral for lab testing, so I asked my friends if they had gotten a test somewhere in Orange County. One woman told me about Hoag Urgent Care and how easy and quick it was for her to seek and complete lab testing for COVID-19. I didnt believe her, but I was willing to drive myself to the Superior Avenue location she went to to see if I could get in and see a doctor right away.The wait time for arrival, initial paperwork and the application of the test was less than an hour on a Friday night. Dr. Riutzel was professional, accommodating, and took his time with administering the test. He disclosed to me that the lab result may take 5-10 days to come back to his office, but I found out in 4 days. He called and asked for verbal consent to disclose the outcome of the test, which I agreed to. I was negative and was so happy that this process was truly a breeze while being very scared about my predicament. Thank you to him and the support staff at this location for making my COVID-19 scare less intense and delivering such good news! A+ help and care!

I had an 8:30 AM appointment today, Friday. Arived at 8:00 AM and was gone by 8:30. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Very pleased with my experience.

Beyond excellence! I was at Hoag urgent care yesterday for a possible broken bone. Absolutely wonderful experience! They treat you like both your problem and your time really matter to them and are important to them. They quickly took X-rays and ruled out Broken bone. Quite a relief. Most remarkably, the entire process with the personable office staff lady, competent nurse, Great DOCTOR, and skilled x-ray tech took 45 minutes!!!! This is how medical care should be!

My entire family only go there for any need. I think they are the best Urgent Care I’ve ever been, with a great team they will do all the extra miles and take all the capable actions. Make sure your insurance is affiliated with them so when you’ll need, it will only cost you the copayment.

I so appreciate their efforts to minimize your wait time! A same day appointment was available, and they post how many people are waiting on their website. The doctor was very friendly, and quickly got me in for an X-ray. This will definitely be my first choice if the need arises for another trip to Urgent Care. Hopefully, I won’t be seeing them soon...but it’s nice to know there’s great care available when you really need it!

I went in to to see physician. I was sick for 8 days and was feeling terrible. My kids were sick too but their pediatrician gave my kids anti-biotics to help them. They are fine now. The physician at Hoag urgent care refused to give me anti-biotics or anything that helped. I am now on day 12 going to ER for real help. Its as if physician at Hoag urgent care gets points for not writing anti-biotic prescriptions. Do not go here they will gladly take your money and do nothing for you. She get points for not writing the correct subscriptions. My throat is sealed and my ear now has infection. Thanks for keeping me feeling miserable for another week.

PA Rebecca and nurse Henry were cordial, interested in what ailed me, and efficient in expediting a cure. In and out in 30 minutes - still had time for lunch! While I dont want to return to urgent care, if/when I have to, this site will remain my first option.

Absolutely amazing! I went there on Monday and was in and out in under 30 minutes. The doctors were kind, professional and detailed. I had to go back on Friday as the condition did not improve. They ran tests and said I needed to see a specialist ASAP. They call around and made an appointment for me two hours later that was in my network. Again in and out in less than 30 minutes. Truly a wonderful experience and this is coming from a person who HATES going to the doctors office.

The staff and service here is a “10” compared to all other Urgent Care facilities we have ever visited. Maybe it’s the proximity to Hoag Hospital or maybe it’s just because the staff cares about providing great medical care. Of course like all walk in clinics, wait times can be a luck of the draw. Check it out.

Hoag Urgent Care, has taken care of our family several times over the years. The Drs along with the rest of the staff are not only very knowledgeable but very kind and compassionate. We also like the fact that there is an option to make an appointment online. I would consider this facility to be the best Urgent care in Newport Beach .

Went in 8.00 am hurting with a kidney stone. Got excellent care. I think almost as good as the E. R. the Doc was understanding and patient. Dont hesitate to go here.

This place has gotten better since Hoag took over in place of Family Care Centers, the latter of which had really started to see a decline in quality in recent history. The staff now seem very knowledgeable and are quite effective of solving your health problems instead of over-medicating you. So far, so good. Keep up the good work.

Good service and doctors. My only complaint is that both times I went in the office didnt charge me enough for my co-pay and then I received a bill for an additional amount. It seems as if they should charge the right amount the first time.

I really liked online check in and getting a text of when to leave for my appointment. Cut down on the wait time in the office/waiting area.

I am so fortunate that when I went to Hoag Urgent Care on Superior in Newport Beach last weekend that I saw Dr. Millie Surati. For several months I have had a sinus issue that no one seemed to be able to assess, primarily because it was a sinus infection, while not rare, was in a more uncommon area of the skull. Dr. Surati is an ENT and her prescriptions and diagnoses are working. When I described my symptoms, she knew immediately as an ENT, my problem.While the wait times on a Saturday morning seem to be long, I signed up online for mid afternoon. No one in the waiting room but me. In addition, all the personnel were helpful and just nice, a great attribute for sick patients.

Horrible experience. Dont waste your time. Ever since the new Dr. Staff came in. Horrible. Plus the new woman Dr. Was extremely rude. She didnt care about us. All she cared about was explaining how busy she was and was the only Dr. On staff. Told me to go elsewhere. Rude! Go to the Urgent Care down the street on 17th St. I was in and out in an hour. I waited an hour just to get in the room here. Horrible!
