I was so pleased with the efficiency and professionalism I encountered at this hand surgeons practice. From the beautiful folks in reception, the physicians assistants and the dapper physician himself, I have nothing but praise. Even with x-rays, it was nice to be processed and seen to in less than ½ hour. Some people have commented on the less than friendly demeanor of Dr. Hausman. I found that he focused his energy on the medical issues at hand (haha) and that indeed he did have a sense of humor to go along with his vast experience. I felt comfortable and assured and that I got the best care I could. Even as a surgeon, his recommendation was not surgery, but a very helpful and successful exercise to achieve my goal. He complimented my previous wrist surgeon, Teo Mendezs, repair of my shattered wrist and sent me out the door feeling hopeful. Thank you all!

Uncaring doctor, didn’t seem interested in my problem, couldn’t help me but he had no referrals for me either. So now I’m still with pain and no help from him. Not recommend

Dr. Hausman is the epitome of what a true Doctor is and should be. His Scientific approach converted into a completely understandable, and compassionate bedside manner, is remarkable. He has operated on both of my sons for Elbow Trauma. My Family and I are very grateful and appreciative of his professionalism, unique technical approach , and being a complete Masterful Doctor. I can not envision any other Doctor to take care of my Family.

No bedside manner whatsoever. Went for wrist pain that I’ve been having for a long time and the doctor recommended nothing for the pain!Said nothing could be done and to just live with the pain

I was referred to Dr Hausman for a review of extreme pain to rt shoulder, elbow, arm and wrist. My MRI revealed 3 torn rotator cuffs and sprain of 2 wrist ligaments.I understand he believes no surgery is indicated. However, what I did not appreciate is that he minimized my pain and my injuries simply because he did not see a surgical opportunity. He explained to me that one persons pain is no pain at all for another person, never acknowledging the degree of My discomfort. Very disappointing visit and not helpful at all.I did appreciate the office staff. They were kind efficient and honest regarding office policy and procedures. The office manager quickly followed up on my information to allow for speedy visit.Thank You. The only reason I gave a star at all.

Dr. Hausman is not a nice person. I went to him w/ an issue Ive been dealing with for over 5 years. I finally decided to do something about it, and he was absolutely no help. I understand that some doctors are only familiar with their respective field, but he at no time suggested other options for me. I walked out of the examination room in tears and left with no alternatives in dealing with this pain. Now I have to pay fees for no reason whatsoever.

Dr. Hausman is a highly professional skilled surgeon with a wonderful personality. He is kind, caring, and thorough. His office staff were highly professional & I found to office to be clean in a welcoming environment. He operated on both of my wrists to repair Carpal Tunnel syndrome. I am a procedure oriented physician, and was concerned about the healing time. After both surgeries, I felt as if I could have returned to work immediately!! I highly recommend Dr. Hausman to anyone who is need of a meticulous, highly skilled upper extremity surgeon.

I will go in reverse chronological order:He lied to me about the result of my operation. It was a failure and he said it was a success. It turns out that that is not a basis for a malpractice suit since it is not malpractice for a doctor to fail at performing an operation if that failure wasnt due to negligence or incompetence. However, he treated me for months afterwards, each time taking an xray of my deteriorating wrist and never once mentioned to me what was going on. When I asked why it was taking so long for me to heal - i was experiencing a lot of pain - he told me that it takes some people longer to heal than others! What was really happening was that since the operation was supposed to prevent the breakdown of cartilage in my wrist thats what was happening: the cartilage was breaking down making each day more painful than the one before.Tellingly, he told me the operation was a success in private. At every other appointment he was surrounded by sychophantic medical residents who would have recognized his lies had they been there.Hes got a big reputation as a surgeon and inventor of new techniques so everyone is respectful of him and probably a little scared. So if when he operates on you its a success, good. But if it fails youre in trouble, because you wont know until its to late to do anything to ameliorate your condition. Hes very thin skinned and at the same time supercillious so its difficult to question him when things dont sound right. Eg. He said that the torn ligament between my thumb and forefinger had to have resulted from some kind of trauma. When I told him there had never been any trauma he got he got very disturbed and nasty. So I went to another doctor to get his opinion. He assured me that Dr. Haussman was the greatest man in his field and that his overreaction was just how temperamental geniuses are at times. So I foolishly concluded that Id rather have an s.o.b. whos good, as a surgeon, than a nice guy whos mediocre.Im simply recounting what happened. Haussman is too big to fail, and that can turn out to be the patients problem.

Horrific. A complete misdiagnosis and a waste of my time and his time. Told me to come back in six months when a later MRI showed full labrum tear. Dont bother.
