The service from everyone was better than 5 star. The staff were more than friendly, the waiting time was non-existent and everyone was careful. Dr Rokito is the best. Good thoughtful advice and treatment with great knowledge. He is a great gentleman as well. My only complaint is that you should require all patients to be vaccinated. It is not fair to the staff or doctors to have to deal with unvaccinated people

Dr. Rokito enjoys a huge reputation in New York for being one of its premier orthopedic surgeons. But he’s more than that: he is the most attentive caring and kind orthopedist I have ever met. It’s why for 20 years he has been my go-to for all sports-related injuries. My left shoulder received his surgical attention 16 years ago and has been perfect since then. He is a sports enthusiast who shares with his patients, and in fact exemplifies himself, the health benefits of remaining trim and fit. Highly recommended.

Dr Rokito performed shoulder surgery for me in 2019 and I’m back 100%! He was simply the best on all levels and I would highly recommend him. Just had a visit for a knee issue and as before he is thorough, attentive and prescribed great treatment in a compassionate, comprehensive way. There is no better doctor! So glad I found him!

Dr. Rokito is a one in a million physician. He is brilliant at what he does. Not many other physicians with his stellar credentials care about the “whole patient”, understanding that a patient’s well being includes both their physical presentation but also their emotional state of health. He offers realistic advice in a professional and caring manner. My husband and I have referred multiple patients to Dr. Rokito and all have been grateful for the referral.

Love Dr. Rokito. I’ve been his patient since 2014, and have been very happy with his knowledge, experience, good judgement, breadth of knowledge and excellent skills. Dr. Rokito first tries conservative approaches before rushing to do elective surgeries. I have had two elective shoulder surgeries with Dr. Rokito, and my outcomes and results were both outstanding, with minimal pain and successful rehab. Dr. Rokito is up to date on all the current research and always takes the intelligent, scientific approach. He is very kind to his patients and staff, and does an excellent job teaching his residents and fellows. His office is organized, his staff is diligent, and he is compulsively perfectionist which is exactly what you want in a surgeon. Highly and enthusiastically recommend.

Dr. Rokito is superb. He relies on a vast and continually expanding knowledge base about all things orthopedic, especially shoulders and elbows, and communicates with a phenomenal patient centered ness. His staff are excellent. Anna is highly competent, attentive, focused, authentic.I saw Dr. Rokito for a second, serious re tear of my left rotator cuff. Full-thickness, near complete tear that had me awake from the pain. Affecting my ability to play piano, do anything at the gym, feel well. He was kind and gentle, but very clear and realistic about my options. He could perform surgery for the pain, but outcomes for improving functioning were uncertain. I could go the long route of intense physical therapy, but I would have to be very patient and do the work over six months or more, and again outcomes were uncertain. Despite the grim picture, his kind, compassionate, informed, and rational approach was just what I needed to make a decision.Six months later, after wonderful but challenging PT, I saw Dr. Rokito for followup. He was like my own family in his enthusiasm. Said that if he didn’t see the radiology reports, he would never know I had a torn rotator cuff.I am wildly enthusiastic about this physician. One of our very best.

I recently had a recurrent ACL tear and my previous surgeon at H.S.S. immediately wanted to cut me up and perform three procedures.I had the fortune of meeting Andrew Rokito through a referral. He was extremely patient in explaining the pros and cons of the procedures. Its refreshing to meet a Surgeon who gives a more balanced view and is conservative when it comes to surgery. He recommended against one of the procedures and we will closely monitor my situation before performing the other two. Highly recommend him. Also NYU is investing in modernizing their Hospital and the wait times and general feel of the place is much better

Dr. Rokito performed rotator cuff surgery on me several years ago. It took a while for me to get near 100%. Went for several follow up visits. Dr. Rokito took the time that I needed in follow ups. It took a while, but now my shoulder is fine and I can once again do hiking with rock scrambles using both shoulders. I highly recommend Dr. Roitio. He is not only a fine surgeon, but also a thoughtful person with excellent communication skills.

OK, disclaimer, I am a physican and surgeon. As a patient I am very picky. I also enjoy long distance running and triathlons. Andrew Rokito has a great reputation. Attuned to athletes, as the team physician to the Mets, which what was important to me.I first went to Dr Rokito ten years ago to fix my right shoulder so that I could return to form and white water rafting. That went exceptionally well, no problems since.Recently I suffered from knee pain for months, an MRI was inconclusive and an orthopedic surgeon said I should get better with conservative management. A friend recommended a second opinion with Dr Rokito but I thought that they were mistaken in that he was a shoulder doctor. Then ANOTHER orthopedic colleague recommended him so I figured I was destined to see him.Dr Rokito has a quiet demeanor and i really got the sense that I was talking to a friend about my problem. He strongly suspected a meniscus tear and I was ready to have surgery but he insisted on repeating the MRI(with better quality). It did demonstrate the tear. I was completely confident in his skill but wanted a candid assessment as to whether the surgery ran the risk of progressing osteoarthritis and possible knee replacement in the future. His answer was perfect- Id never do that to you.The set up at NYU Langone is excellent. You register to be in their system, get messages, a review of your visit, bills and upcoming appointments at one site. The offices are nice, clean and his physician assistant superb. Surgery day I was very comfortable and the team of people there were all alert, focused, and no nonsense. I drifted off just after laying down, awake about 45 minutes later.I have had the quickest recovery that I can imagine, doing biking the next day and cybex arc a couple of days later. I never have even thought about my knee since the surgery except in noticing that it is no longer a bother. Now I am a month out and have been jogging without pain or swelling. NYU has an excellent rehab program which I did not need, but I continued to get encouraging emails regarding recovery that were quite detailed. This is my most candid advice. A doctor should be your best adviser on issues that none of us can master. As we have either traumatic or degenerative orthopedic issues surgical intervention results will vary because of many things since we are just made of flesh and blood. In a surgeon you will need a competent doctor who will frame out realistic anticipated results, with their input as to whether to undergo a procedure. Dr Rokito is someone you can trust on all fronts and will do his best to improve any orthopedic issues that you might have.
