Something 3 years ago didn’t go as planned on my second shoulder surgery (which I was advised against), and Dr Cordasco’s office really doesn’t like hearing they did anything wrong. Followed up with his recommendations of PT for 3 years, including neurologists, physiotherapy, and all other sorts of specialists. Now since the surgery, my quality of life has decreased severely, and his office “regrets to inform me” that there is nothing more they can do. Office staff is rude, and cannot get a call back if you disguised yourself as a different patient because all they want is new money, excuse me new patients. Just goes to show you that sometimes what you read on the internet really is true. This doctor has more to teach you, and couldn’t possibly learn anything new. Complete ignorance and I would recommend to save your time and frustration by visiting a doctor that cares more than to just open you up with a knife.

Dr. Cardasco is very good. I ripped my pec muscle from its attachment to my bicep 30 years ago in a skiing accident, and looked everywhere for a doctor who could reattached the muscle and give me use of my arm/shoulder again, which after 30 years was increasingly problematic for my whole upper body.Dr. Cardasco did some difficult medical surgery. We were fully prepared to use 3rd party pec muscle to replace the lost pec muscle, however Dr. Cardasco was able to find all the original muscle and tendon and reattach the original.I spoke with many surgeons, and they were all afraid to do the surgery, and thus the extended delay in surgery. When I asked Dr. Cardasco if he could do the surgery, he said, “sure, next week”. It gave me confidence in doing a difficult procedure, and after some nerve testing, we completed surgery. Now 5 years later, the arm is better and back to normal.Best wishes to an amazing doctorLarry

Bad bedside manner. Even worse staff. The PA made random decision on how urgent a case is (trauma case delayed when time was of essence). Would not let me see the doctor. Then the doctor blamed his staff clearly my assistant had not done their job properly. Well, it was too late! The damage was done and is irreversible.Should have gone to a different surgeon right then and there. But when you got injured in an accident for the first time, you really dont know whats important. When the doctor (and his staff) short changed you, you wouldnt know until its too late.He wouldnt take responsibility of the poor result either. Refused to take the hardware out even when the symptom indicated that being the likely cause. I never had to take the hardware out in all my patients. Right, I had to go to a different doctor to have it taken out. Huge improvement. One wonders how many of his patients still live with the limitation because of his refusal to tarnish his own reputation.

This guy has a real mean streak. seemed surgery happy to. perhaps i got him on a bad day as i only saw him once, but i would be worried having surgery with someone who is capable of being so nasty to a patient. there are better options for shoulder or knee out there.

Ive had two daughters with complete ACL tears with wonderful outcomes. Both girls play soccer and softball. Their transition back into high school sports were seamless and successful. I would highly recommend Dr Cordasco.

My first and hopefully last surgery was a most incredible experience, Dr Cordasco and his staff are both professional and comforting in their bedside manner. This combined with the facility itself made for the best of all possible outcomes.

I had appointment for 11:45 AM on Friday and got a call from Dr office a day before that my appointment had to be changed to 11:15 AM due to emergency surgery at noon on Friday! I mentioned that, I am coming from NJ and had to visit someone in the downtown in the morning but I’d try to make it. I was told that I needed to be in the hospital by 11:15 to see Dr. Cordasco.I had to walk with pain in my left knee and had to run from subway station, however I made the office by 11:15. While I was in x-ray room, to my surprise there were other patients with Dr. Cordasco appointment after me. They took my x-rays and asked me to wait, later P.A. came and took the history. I waited for 2 hours and kept inquiring with no response, 3rd time a nurse told the other guy, “I don’t know what to say, Dr knows he is here waiting.” Later the manager stormed in the room saying it will be another 30-60 minutes since Dr is still in OR. She said, I should see P.A. or have come earlier. She overheard me on phone cancelling my subsequent appointment due to delay here but had no empathy. I explained to her my pain and she said you don’t have a broken knee, should have come earlier. My appointment email says, arrive by 11:15 and I was there but she wouldn’t listen.IMO, it’s their tactic to make appointments for Dr Cordasco and patient ends up seeing P.A. If only consulting patients is too low for Dr Cordasco, they should stop making his appointment. Very disappointed with the staff behavior and Dr Cordasco style of practice. He might be a good surgeon but not for me!
