My husband had spine surgery with Dr. Cammisa 3 years ago, and then needed a different disk replaced a couple of weeks ago. He had such a great result and experience with Dr. Cammisa the first time, that of course he went right back to him. The Doctor, his office staff, PA’s, HSS, etc. are all top-notch. Patient, smart, kind, a pleasure to deal with, and the surgery at HSS works like a well-oiled machine. Dr. Cammisa is a miracle worker, and these surgeries were extremely complex and potentially risky. We have the utmost respect for him and can highly recommend him without any reservation. We are very grateful to have been in his outstanding care, with another terrific result.

Over 20 years ago he did some intense back surgery on me when I was in serious pain. Despite the fact I was young at the time, I couldnt even walk. Dont know where I would be without his treatment, but will always be grateful to him.

Frank Cammisa is refined in all aspects. His careful analysis of the situation/problem witha treatment program that encompasses the best course of action. Was recommended by one of the most refined Doctors available, Dr Lavyne. He gave me two options: ortho and neuro. Neuro had me running to endocrinologists, had a radiology guy reparing my vertebrae and was willing to do all at once. Doc C, had me check the quality of my bones considering prior density tests along with the severity of surgery (a 360 total lumbar replacement), with Doc Joseph Lane, a world renowned metabolic specialist and surgeon who repaired the vertebrae but first and foremost put me on the newest meds for building bone density. Doc C would not operate until ny body had this med for six months, this even though it was rather urgent. It was a long haul, but the outcome was wonderful thanks to the brilliance of both Doctors. Had it been done all at once, am sure the outcome would never have been so great.He as well used a team including the Anesthesiologist/Pain Doc and General Surgeon who were outstanding.
