Dr Allen is amazing! He did my revision ACL surgery.Steadman Clinic had turned me down after the 3D cat scan telling me I need 18 months and bone grafts to do it.Dr Allen looked at the same 3D cat scan and told me he could Y off of it...Fast forward to 12 hours after surgery he told me that in fact the hole where they drilled into my Tibia everyone at Steadman and also HE was worried was over 12mm was actually only 10mm!!!! Saved myself a lot of pain hassle and downtime trusting him. Also my knee could not be better- I can ski run - you name it - better probably then prior to the injury. It’s bionic now!!!

Dr. Allen was amazing! He really takes his time with you. He understood my issues and made me feel like my health was the main priority. He gave me great advice as well. He took his time to recommend different options before surgery. I would highly recommend. I was seeing multiple people before deciding to commit to Dr. Allen. But he’s #1!!

Dr. Allen really cares about his patients. He is the first one in the door and the last one to leave. He takes his time with you and makes you feel very comfortable. He never keeps you waiting. He is an amazing person and doctor. He also provided opportunities to me that multiple other doctors said weren’t possible. He truly wants to provide the best service for his patients. He is truly heaven sent. Great office experience, great doctor experience. 10/10 in every category! I would highly highly recommend! I also emailed him 2 years after surgery and he got back to me that same day answering all my questions and he remembered who I was. He is in a category of his own.

Avoid this physician at all costs, I had an ACL construction that he botched. As a result I have had 5 corrective procedures to undo the damage he did during his initial procedure. He was extremely unprofessional and told me the cause of my issues post surgery were a result tight hamstrings turns out he had drilled the screw too far into the knee causing even more damage. Ill avoid the gory details but he is lazy and upon questioning him about the issues he became evasive. He ignored issues I brought up that were signs that the procedure had been done incorrectly, limited range of motion, pain, lack of strength despite regimented physical therapy. Save yourself a nightmare, Avoid this man at all costs, you dont want him operating on you.

NOTE: My procedure with the surgeon was over 10 years ago so things may have changed.Had ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr. Allen over 10 years ago that resulted in a staph infection in which I had to spend several days in the hospital. When discharged, I needed a home IV for several weeks.

Seamless experience. Ive had two prior ACL/meniscus surgeries and have what I would call some medical trauma; upon re-tearing my meniscus I began to blackout thinking about having surgery again. If only I know knew how easy this would all be! Dr Allen and his team are nothing short of miracle workers. Dr Allen is always on time and his bedside manner is amazing. He is relaxed, never rushed or condescending. I wrote down all of my questions and could ask them all. The rest of his team is simply incredible. The day of my surgery I felt taken care of and so well informed by everyone that I wasnt even nervous. I am incredibly grateful for their care. My meniscus surgery left me with little pain - I only took tylenol, had NO bruise, and they sent me to the most fabulous physical therapist. Plus, the west side office is easy to get to and beautiful. Why go anywhere else why you can go to the best? This is a top notch team here.

Dr. Allen is nothing short of amazing! He has a fabulous bedside manner and is an extremely gifted physician and surgeon. I had a torn meniscus and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Allen operated on me and I went home the same day -- and felt good enough to clean my home! My knee is 100% back to baseline. Look no further. Thank you Dr. Allen!

Miracle worker, honest , great bedside manners. I have the privilege to have Dr Allen Answorth to examine my knee, I walked in with a cane and a lot of pain in his office for my follow up visit and after a thorough examination and full details of what steps he will take before getting into surgery down the line. He drained my knee in no time and I left his feeling great.

If I could give a zero to this moron, I would. He broke my bone in examining me and I had spent 3 days in Emerge Room. He is not very competent. Glad someone else fixed me up and there will be no returns to this moron now.

Dr. Allen is amazing. My daughter tore her ACL doing gymnastics and had to have surgery. She was still growing, so it was a little more complicated. We felt very sure, every step of the way, that she was in great hands with Dr. Allen. He performed such excellent work... we are certain it was the main reason that our daughter had such a great recovery. Her coach said he has never seen a better recovery from an ACL injury/surgery.

Ive had several surgeries on my knee from PA to NYC and my last stop was Dr. Allen....Miracle worker! But what really sold me was when I thought I tore my ligaments again after surgery and needed more treatment. Instead of agreeing with me and putting me under the knife again to make more money off of me, he told me that I simply needed to stretch my hamstrings. The tightness was causing my pains. Hes not only good at what he does...but honest as well.

Dr. Allen and his team are remarkable. I tore my meniscus and was in much pain. I was recommended by a friend to Dr. Allen. I called his office and explained my situation and Steven, working on the phone, booked me for the next available appointment. At the time, due to pain and swelling, I had thought I tore my ACL. After meeting with Dr. Allens nurse we came to the conclusion it was either a MCL tear or a tear of the lateral meniscus. Doctor Allen then checked my knee and confirmed it was a meniscal tear. The entire team made me feel like a friend and aided me through the process. A week later I had my meniscus repaired by doctor Alen. Im very pleased with everything and cant thank Dr. Allen enough. I cant wait to start PT and this road to recovery.

I highly recommend Dr. Allen. After re-tearing my ACL and meniscus at 40, I was hesitant to get revision surgery. My first ACL old school repair, over 20 years prior, was a painful experience. I recall much swelling, numbness and I never fully recovered complete range of motion. I spoke to a few local orthopedic consultants and they regarded HSS as the best option for a successful correction and recovery. I carefully vetted the available surgeons, and choose Dr. Allen based on ratings and experience. As soon as I contacted Dr. Allen’s office they had me in immediately for a consultation. These guys are top tier professionals and move quick. Which is good when you’re contemplating evasive surgery that will help you in the long term, but lay you up for the short. What I liked is that Dr. Allen took the time to talk through all potential scenarios, showing that he’s in it to do what’s right, not just the bottom line. I choose a hamstring graft and was scheduled for surgery within a week. My experience post-surgery was miraculous. My swelling was manageable and I had very little pain. I was able to put pressure on my leg on day 2 and start PT one week later with amazing results. The stability and lack of pain has far exceeded my expectations. I’ve read that ACL surgery effects people differently, depending on many factors. But I attribute the great experience to Dr. Allen’s precision as a surgeon. Plus he’s a solid individual who clearly loves what he does.
