My experience with Goodman Orthodontics was top notch! What I love the most is looking back at old photos of my smile and my crooked teeth and feeling so thrilled and proud of the way I look now. Dr. Goodmans talent for being able to create the best smile for all of his patients is evidenced not only by the before and after pictures of his many patients but also by the beautiful photographs he took which are displayed throughout his lovely office. He and his staff were warm and friendly and they were very accommodating when it came to scheduling an appointment. I have recommended Dr. Goodman to a few of my friends and everyone has had the same experience as I did.

Dr. Goodman is so great! He is an excellent orthodontist and I am so pleased with my results. The office is so nice and extremely clean (I started my treatment prior to COVID). All of the staff there are so lovely. Dr. Goodman always found time to work with my busy schedule when it came to appointments. On top of that he is just an all around nice person. I rarely write reviews but in this case I am compelled. I am so glad I went Dr Goodman. I am not a spring chicken and my teeth were always in pain which I thought was just life. The solutions suggested by other specialists were protracted and convoluted. I found Dr. Goodman and his team professional and sensible. It is one of the best things I have ever done…no pain and the offshoot I didn’t mention is that my teeth look great.

My invisalign appointment was not what I expected it to be. Dr Goodman is not a friendly. My review is very similar to the other review about not taking patients that used invisalign before. He told me that he cannot treat me because I had my teeth straightened somewhere else. Why is that a problem??? Bad service. I also found this video of him on a website

Dr. Goodman is an outstanding orthodontist! I had 9 months until my daughter’s wedding, had to have a front bottom tooth pulled, and the realign my bottom teeth and fix my bite. Dr. Goodman promised we would be done in time for the wedding. We started Invisalign, I followed all his instructions, and was ready for the wedding with time to spare!! My teeth looked amazing, smile better than I could have ever imagined. My dentist commented on what an excellent job Dr. Goodman did, better than he had anticipated. That along with the compliments I get on my smile and teeth speaks volumes about the work of Dr. Goodman. I have already given his name to many friends who are considering Invisalign as an adult. I used to have Invisalign a few years ago back in my home country but didn’t really finish my therapy to have really straight teeth just because I had to travel and leave. Now after some years I decided to make an appointment with this doctor here so I can start with Invisalign again so I can finally finish what I started . After I booked the appointment they called me back 3 minutes later to let me know that the doctor wouldn’t accept me because I used to have Invisalign before. Unbelievable for a doctor not to accept someone because “you used to have Invisalign before so we cannot accept you “

My case was not a normal one (in addition to crowded teeth I had a narrow jaw with a huge overbite). That’s why I had to research a lot and meet and consult with a lot of orthodontists and maxillofacial surgeons.Most of the orthodontist that I saw, suggested that I either extract a few teeth and then start the treatment, or go under an invasive jaw surgery (where I could not eat anything for at least 6 weeks) to fix the overbite and the form of my teeth. Dr. Goodman, however, put a lot of time to study my case and consulted me while he also listened to my concerns very carefully. He then convinced me to wear Invisalign (despite my initial suspicion that they may not be as effective) for which I am really grateful.Also he never gave me false hopes but he told me that he thinks he can make it work. Now after 18 months of wearing my Invisalign and listening to him religiously the result looks great and I have minimal overbite, without the need for any surgery or tooth extraction.I also really appreciate the fact that he would always carefully listen to me (during the procedure) and reflect on it very methodically.Also, his office is very organized and everyone working there are very friendly and super nice.

As a senior who long ago, regretfully, abandoned night time retainer wear, I sought orthodontic correction. I happily found Dr. Goodman after lots of researching and asking for recommendations. His name was first, without hesitation every time. Not only is Dr. Goodman enthusiastic, personable, thorough and knowledgeable, he evidently loves what he does and it shows in his dedication to his work. Im midway through my treatment with Dr. Goodman and hes been truly excellent. Adam is incredibly transparent with how everything works and has been on call whenever Ive had a question. From the first consultation to the ongoing monitoring of my 15 year olds progress, even long after completion of initial treatment, Dr. Goodman has been amazing. I decided on his office, because of the 3 orthodontists Id consulted with, he was the only one who presented us with a plan that didnt include pulling four teeth. He presented an option that was painless, less expensive, and took half the time. Not that he rushed anything either. In the end, my daughters teeth are beautiful, and she got to keep all of them.

Dr. Goodman asked me to give him 5 stars on Yelp when I was leaving the clinic. All he talked about were his splendid reviews on Yelp and said that he is the best orthodontist in the US. He was not all there and was jittery. Spurted in and out of the office and left his clueless assistants to do his job. Not only was I happy with my 1+ year worth of Invisalign—I found myself really looking forward to my appointments because he and his staff are so friendly and they make me laugh!Dr. Goodman shot straight with me from the beginning & I really appreciated that. He told me what I’d need to do to have good looking teeth. He told me the costs. He told me the time & effort I’d need to commit. And if I followed his guidance, he told me I would have great looking teeth. And now I do.My plan required me first to get Invisalign, followed by a bunch of work at my regular dentist. Weird dentist or should I say Doctor Strange. Felt like I was in the Twilight zone. Wouldnt feel safe around this doctor. Creepy money greedy vibe. Seemed like he was in a rush and was talking about recovering funds after the pandemic.

When we moved from Silicon Valley two years ago, my daughter was able to seamlessly continue With Dr. Goodman mid-treatment. Not only did he provide unparalleled care, he was the only one (after seeing top LA and Silicon Valley orthodontists) who was able to correctly diagnose and treat my daughters alignment issues. I found Dr. Goodman after a lot of research on the internet. I was able to get in almost immediately and start my treatment right away (pre-covid). I was nervous to take the plunge as I am not the best with discipline and consistency - two things you need if you are going to partake in this treatment. Upon the glowing recommendations of several parents of my daughters friends, I took my daughter to see Dr. Goodman over a year ago to investigate whether orthodonture treatment was needed. Aside from the testimonials of said parents, the before and after of the kids we know was nothing less than fantastic.Although my daughter was bit reticent...as many kids are when going to a dentists or orthodontist...she was looking forward to going, as at that point many of her friends had braces, and she wanted them as well. Dr. Goodmans staff (and office) could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and calming.When we saw Dr. Goodman, he was exceedingly friendly and outgoing, and made my daughter feel quite comfortable and at ease with his tremendous chairside manner. He fully explained everything he would do in a way that both my daughter and I could easily understand, and did so in a kind, sensitive manner.We have been going back to see Dr. Goodman roughly every three to four months for a progress evaluation, as from the beginning, although he felt that my daughter didnt quite need orthodonture work yet, it was likely sometime shortly. He demonstrated great restraint in not urging any immediate treatment, quite different from what I believe others might have done in pursuit of the dollar...and especially since as a parent I couldnt possibly know whether treatment was needed imminently...or not. I had my first consult with Dr Adam Goodman and was not happy when I left. He was rushed and I didnt see him much at all. He left the assistants in charge. When I excited I was followed by Dr Goodman and he asked me to write a 5 star review right then and there on his iPad and stood there blocking the front door. That was extremely uncomfortable and I shouldnt feel pressured to do that by any means. Dont recommend this clinic

Came by Dr. Gs office. I made an appointment a week in advance. Was not happy with his attitude and he was very superficial to me. He told me my breath smelled like a garbage can and that I needed some serious full restoration. Dr. G said it would cost me a lot but he had the best deals in NYC. That was not an okay thing to say! He told me not to go on a date for now because my breath stank so bad. After that he said just joking.

My daughter is only 8 but she has a lot of crowing in her mouth just like I did as well as my husband. Dr Goodman suggested Invisalign for this as opposed to a palatal expander. He told us that the palatal expander is something he uses often but he reserves it for times when a patient has a crossbite or a big overbite or even more crowing than my daughter has.We are 7 months into the process. The invisalign has been very easy for her and the teeth are looking much better, now they all fit because there were two upper teeth that were only partly in the moth when we started. At first she did play with the aligners with her tongue and they were loose but Dr Goodman quickly refit it and now it’s been fine.I recommend this office and also Invisalign on young kids based on our experience.

Had a fascinating experience aligning my teeth with Dr Goodman and team. Dr Goodman and his staff were very professional and clearly experienced with alignment work and specifically Invisalign in my case. The staff were cordial and friendly and very personable.My alignment work started before Sars-Cov2 overran the world so I decided to take a short hiatus after the initial months of the pandemic. Upon continuing my treatment Dr. Goodman and team revamped the office and changed occupancy policies to comply with NYC pandemic procedures. I felt safe going back into the office and you felt that everyone took their responsibilities to each other and their patients very seriously, while still providing service with a smile (at least thats what I assume was a smile behind every mask).Overall 5/5!!In light of the recent negative reviews here on Google, Id like to say that any individual who shirks his or her own responsibility to show up for appointments and follow the recommended treatment regiment is his or herself culpable. Dr. Goodman and team are very flexible with scheduling and treatment as long as the patient maintains communication. All relationships flourish if all parties maintain lines of communication and as far as Ive experienced Dr. Goodman and team have maintained that effectively.The office has a digital text and e-mail based reminder system that notifies the patient a week before the appointment as well as provides a digital COVID questionnaire to fill out prior to the appointment. Theyre going above and beyond to make it work, especially during a raging pandemic.

A couple of years ago, I began to research best places in NYC to start my journey with Invisalign. In my research, Dr. Goodmans office serendipitously kept appearing in my search. Goodman Orthodontics was recommended to me by two random friends and the reviews online were impeccable. When I made my first appointment at Dr. Goodmans I was reaffirmed that I had chosen the right place. The office was clean, staff were professional. Dr. Goodman was warm, knowledgable and re-assuring. He answered all my questions and addressed all of my concerns with Invisalign treatment. A couple of weeks ago I picked up my permanent retainers because Im all done :-). Getting Invisalign with Dr. Goodman was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He was always very kind and thorough! During every visit he juxtaposed my teeth with the virtual scan of my teeth and provided useful intel to the progress of my treatment and how I can continue to get optimal results. He even recommended a specialist to do a bonding on two smaller teeth that I was very self-conscious about. I can go on for ever here, but for the sake of brevity I want to HIGHLY recommend this amazing orthodontist/office to anyone looking to get Invisalign!

Dr Goodman and his team are fantastic! The entire treatment went smoothly from consultation to finish, and the customer service of the office was impeccable. I shopped around and saw 3 other orthodontists before making my decision to go with Dr. Goodman. During our consultation he was super friendly, was extremely forthright and gave me ALL my options and told me I can select the treatment I felt most comfortable with (which a lot of other orthodontists did not do- they gave me one option and said thats what I needed to do). I had traditional braces in my teen years, since then my teeth had slightly shifted toward their original pattern. My Invisalign plan was within a reasonable time frame and my teeth are back to their perfect alignment. Dr. Goodman and his staff are the kindest. They are never running late and always treat with a smile on their face.

Dr. Goodman is very professional and experienced. When I first came into the office, just like every other orthodontics I have seen, Dr. Goodman told me my case is slightly complicated and will involve removing a few teeth to make room. However, unlike others, Dr. Goodman gave me treatment options and explained to me the tradeoffs. He offered me recommendations base on years of experience and make plausible proposals that are efficient and effective. He won my trust with clear vision, detailed planning, and transparent billing.Throughout the treatment, Dr. Goodman was very patient with the care he delivered. He referred me to great dentists for my canine and wisdom teeth removal. And he checked and updated my treatment frequently. There were a few times when my invisalign was not steering my teeth the most efficient way, Dr. Goodman made decisive calls to adjust the treatment procedure and ordered me new aligners that best suits my treatment needs at the time. Even after the proposal, Dr. Goodman took effort to make sure my retainers fit, and my bites are aligned.Dr. Goodman valued my personal opinion throughout the treatment. He constantly sought feedback on my experience and asked me whether I have problems with my smile and teeth aesthetics. He gave me recommendations and referrals and incorporate my feedback into the treatment.

After evaluating 5-7 orthodontists, I decided to go to Dr. Goodman for my Invisalign treatment. I was looking for a clean office, attentive staff and most importantly an orthodontist who would provide me with the best treatment with care. I had severe overcrowding and needed to remove two upper teeth. I was quite reluctant to remove two teeth and used metal braces. Evidently, Dr. Goodman explained to me that it would best to remove the two upper teeth to provide space for my other teeth and came up with an Invisalign treatment so that I would not need to use metal braces. I have been visiting Dr. Goodman for about 2 years and his staff is always attentive and welcoming during each of my sessions. Overall, I am very impressed with the transformation and how much straighter my teeth looks right now.

Dr. Goodman is a very kind and knowledgeable orthodontist. About 2 years ago, I noticed my bottom teeth shifting and starting crowd. It was very subtle, but I feared that it would get worse. I found Dr. Goodman after reading endless reviews online. He was the best fit. At my first visit he looked at my teeth and said I didnt necessarily need to spend the money on invisalign. He offered to make me a retainer to hold my teeth in their current position to prevent more shifting. We discussed all my options and in the end, my perfectionist side got the best of me. He is incredibly professional and always took the time to explain and educate me about what he was doing. Just recently, I went in for my 6 month follow up visit and I showed him that my bottom retainer was cracked. I was kicking myself for not initially buying the 3 retainers he offered at a reduced price. But, in true Dr. Goodman fashion, he apologized (totally not his fault) and said that the retainers should last 3 years, not 6 months and gave me not only a new bottom retainer for free, but also the top one too! If youre looking for someone who is an expert in their field and knows how to treat people as people, go to Dr. Goodman.

Exceptional office all around. Staff is friendly and accommodating for appts. Dental assistants are knowledgeable and patient with antsy kids. Dr Goodman is an exceptional orthodontist! Dr. Goodman was great and I couldnt be happier. I had two previous consultations with other orthodontists, both of whom said I needed oral surgery (talk about $$$) as part of my treatment. Dr. Goodman was the only one who asked what my goal was; I just wanted to straighten a few teeth so I had a better smile. He said for that, I didnt need surgery, and he came through.He and his staff are fabulous when it comes to customer service. I had an appointment on a Saturday during a major snow storm which closed his office (and the city). Dr. Goodman knew I would be traveling for a few weeks starting that Monday, so he offered to come in on Sunday to see me. Talk about A+ customer service.

Writing this review because I came in for my second appointment after the initial consult. I waited for 45 min and was told that Mr. Goodman was running late. When he arrived he said that a mistake was made and that my appointment wasnt until tomorrow! He doesnt respect your time!

Terrific experience with Dr. Goodman. I am a working professional with a difficult schedule and Dr. Goodman was flexible and completely transparent about expectations, timing, costs, etc. I was initially told by another dentist that I was not a good candidate for invisalign because I needed so much movement but that I should come see Dr. Goodman. After two consultations I was on my way to a better smile. After 14 months, my teeth look great! The office staff was delightful and I would absolutely recommended Dr. Goodman to anyone getting invisalsign.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Goodman and his wonderful staff. Our son had a slow canine that we had to make room for. It took a while to come in, but the patience paid off as with Dr. Goodmans help managed to avoid oral surgery. All his teeth ended up wonderfully straight too, and are being kept that way now with the help of an unobtrusive Invisalign retainer. It is working really well for him! Great follow through to the end of treatment, and smooth sailing all around.

Dr Goodman and his staff are caring, professional and excellent at what they do. I had a complex case, but both Dr Goodman and his staff were reassuring and confident that I would feel great about my smile. It took me a while to decide on my treatment plan. At no time did Dr Goodman rush me or pressure me to make a decision. He spent a lot of time to explain the options to me, knowing that I might not choose to do the treatment at all. He really listened to my questions and took the time to develop options that would best fit my needs. He is very responsive and was particularly patient and available to answer all questions in the early stages of my treatment plan. It has been almost a year, and the results so far are amazing, with only a few months left to go. Its been worth it, and the invisaligns themselves are a lot easier to deal with than I thought they would be.

Had a great experience with Dr Goodman. He has been extremely flexible in terms of hours / working weekends. He is very responsive even after work hours. Staff is very friendly and helpful (especially Marian, the lady who does scanning). Have been to both offices, both very clean.

At 57 years old, I decided to get braces. A family member suggested Dr. Goodman at Riverdale Orthodontics so I set up a consult to get Invisalign’s. Dr Goodman explained the process so thoroughly and showed me the scan of my current teeth and then the scan of what my teeth would look like once the process was complete. I started treatment right away. I only have to come to the office every 2 months to get checked and make sure my teeth are responding like they should and am so pleased with the progress. I started seeing results within 2 months and now, 10 months later, I am in the final stretch. I finally have the smile I dreamed of. I am SO happy with the results and want everyone to know how awesome Dr Goodman and his staff are.

I am three months into my treatments (Damon Braces) and Dr. Goodman and his team are great! They are very attentive and helpful. One of my brackets came off over a weekend, I called the office on the Saturday to leave a message requesting the next available appointment. I have been seeing Dr. Goodman for a little over a year and the Invisalign treatment he designed for me has been extremely satisfying. My teeth had moved over the course of time to the point that I felt like I needed an adjustment.From the beginning, Dr Goodman takes the time to discuss with you the process you will be going through with clear expectations of what to expect. At each appointment with him, he will review with you how your teeth are adjusting and where he expects changes to take place. I followed his directions as prescribed and wore my liners for the recommended 20 hours a day. Initially, I was turned off by the number of attachments I needed but quickly got over it. There was very little discomfort and the assistants worked closely with me if adjustments were needed to make the liners more comfortable to wear.After the first appointment and at the very beginning of treatment, he showed me a video of how my teeth will be changing throughout the course of treatment. The video was such a great incentive to keep wearing the liners! The staff at the office make the frequent office visits very quick and pleasant. It really isnt a huge inconvenience to have a checkup every 4-6 weeks.What I really love about Dr. Goodman is that when he feels the treatment needs to be adjusted, he never hesitates to order new liners after taking new images of how my alignment changed. Hes done this twice for me and each time I feel like Im getting a better degree of adjustment.Im close to completing my treatment and my teeth are better aligned now than they have ever been. Do not hesitate to see Dr. Goodman. Working with him is one of the best decisions I have ever made!

I am actually a patient at his Riverdale office, but figured I would post my review here also.So I have a pretty severe Overjet and Crossbite. I was at a dentist a few years ago who told me that I would need to have 2 upper teeth removed to bring my front teeth in to meet my bottom teeth. I didn’t think it sounded right as my bottom teeth were also flared forward and I believed my issue to be one with my jaw. So I went online and found a very highly rated oral surgeon in Manhattan to get a second opinion on the matter. The oral surgeon told me that I needed to go to an Orthodontist and recommended only one, Dr Goodman.I went in to meet with Dr Goodman and immediately knew that I was in good hands. He took a look at my teeth and agreed that the issue was with my jaw and took some scans. About a week later, I went back in to see the plan he had made for me. Not only did he have a 3D model of what my teeth would look like with maxillofacial surgery involved, he had also made 2 other treatment plans that could be possible without the surgery, should I choose not to go that route. He walked me through all 3 options, spoke to me in great detail about the pros and cons of each, answered all of my questions, and listened to my concerns. In the end however, I decided to take the surgery route, and much to my pleasant surprise, found out that Invisalign could be used to get me to the pre-surgical position.Ever since then my experience has been great. I have a tendency to be a patient who asks thousands of questions and many doctors often get frustrated by me. This has not been the case with Dr Goodman (well if it has he hasn’t shown it). Every issue I have had has been quickly addressed and resolved, and he was even answering my questions over the holiday when he was out of town!My girlfriend actually works in a dental office, and everyone who knows of Dr Goodman/his work, has nothing but great things to say about him. And again, the way that I found out about him was through an extremely highly rated oral surgeon, so you can take comfort in knowing that he is highly respected in the dental community!100% recommend to anyone looking to get the best treatment possible!
